I am NOT a customer of theirs, but instead, a landscaping company owner myself!! It was like one or two days after I had just cut a nice-looking lawn, and they put their sign in the yard saying that THEY cut the lawn that I cut.

I am not a customer of this business. While I understand and appreciate marketing techniques. A company that fails to recognize no soliciting signs and walks through grass/flower beds will likely not get my business.

Have used Macario for several things including Christmas light installation/removal. Most recently aeration & topdressing Application of Organic/Custom Compost & manure compost. Due to weather topdressing kept getting delayed. Had to call several times to find out what day they would be rescheduling. It s best to text, communication was easier and replies from Macario are quicker.

Whoever you hire to deliver your door to door ads needs to know how to approach a home and use a sidewalk. This person is walking in areas of homes that a stranger should not be in.

I used this company for the first time today, and was so impressed with their work. The three gentlemen that came were very helpful and unbelievably fast. My lawn had gotten quite high and was full of weeds. They made the job look easy but I know it wasn t. I didn t get a chance to thank them before leaving, so I called and spoke with Douglas today to relay the message. My husband and I spent time looking at several companies for regular lawn care, and really felt hands down they had the best customer service. It was so nice to speak with Ashton about what they offered before signing up. It hasn t matter whom we have spoken with, they have all been so helpful. We look forward to continuing to use their services, and would highly recommend them!

Not a customer but whoever does your door to door marketing knocked over my welcome sign leaving a cut out of yellow grass on my lawn due to lack of sun. Im not seeking any money. And I hope that isnt a hustle you do to people.

They Didn t show up on scheduled days and didn t communicate changes. They Lacked care or attention to detail when trimming bushes; leftover trimmings were left in the garden bed, they cut the bushes too short and grossly uneven. We Decided to go with another company with better service.

Wow just, WOW! We have 18 trees in our front yard and 10 in the back. We desperately needed to trim them all. I cannot begin to express how pleased we were with Macario Brother s Lawn Care! To begin, they were timely, showing up at the scheduled time. They then made sure to remove all yard decorations to prevent damage. They trimmed all the trees perfectly, cutting back live branches as needed, removing dead branches as well as countless sprouts. Our trees not only look better, but are much better prepared for winter freezes. After finishing, they sprayed the cuts in the trees. They then cleaned up all the debris throughout the yard and used a blower to clean up any remnants. They also returned all the yard decorations to their proper place. We asked that the larger limbs be left so that we can use them for firewood and not only did they place them where we asked, but they cut the limbs into smaller portions for the fireplace! They are very reasonably priced, professional and friendly. It s not easy to find a trustworthy contractor, but we struck gold with Macario Brother s Lawn Care!

After two yard guys totally flaked, I tried a different option and went with Macario Brothers Lawn Care. Oh.My.Goodness! Any apprehensions I had about just being a ticket or being over charged were quickly dismissed! A real person reached out for my initial request almost immediately, I had a proposal by the end of the day and the work was completed the very next day! Billing and payment are super easy! I was so pleased, I hired them again for another project that went just as smooth and looks fabulous!!! If your struggling with yard care, don t wait, it s well worth it!!!!

We used them once and only once. They came and caused damage to the property including our siding and some of the items were not done as requested. I give three stars because they did do the right thing and fixed the damage, but we didnt want to take a chance using them again. The gentleman they sent to fix the items did a fantastic job and we hired him to fix our broken sprinklers as well.

I was very pleased with the job that was done: unfortunately I cancelled after using them one time because 97.66 every two weeks for just mowing with a push mower seemed a little pricey when my yard isn t even big and I ve paid much less and gotten the same job done. I wanted to just give another company a try. Aside from that I really don t have anything negative to say.

Firstly, this company tells you how much the lawn will be to be mowed, then charge more! And they say oh that was for 2 people. It was x amount but using 2 people it was double essentially. We have a very small lawn in a residential neighborhood. I m talking 20 minutes max and NEVER takes more than one person. Not only that I never agreed to paying more due to the company CHOOSING without my knowledge to have 2 people mow. Worse than that they are charging me even more than the amount and put it on my credit report. $150 is what they want for 1 & 1/2 mows (they had to come back because they didn t even get my grass close to even, end of day they didn t care) I wouldn t use them but if you do make sure you know the ACTUAL price and if they plan to charge for a second person you didn t ask for.

Just finished another project with Andrew at Macario Brothers Lawn Care, on time, under budget, and my expectations were exceeded. Prompt and professional service. I wont do a project without them!

I was charged nearly double of what the proposed estimate was. Not only that but they did a terrible job. There are giant patches of grass untouched and it is uneven. My yard is about 1/4 acre I was charged $60 for when I was told it would be $35. The grass height now ranges anywhere from 1-8 inches.

Bottom Line: They mowed my lawn and trimmed it EXACTLY as I requested.

Consistently good and keep you informed of any changes in schedule. Great to work with!

Our neighbor literally told us our lawn looked terrible. That should sum up the quality of this lawn service. Buttttt for those of you who would like to know what is wrong with this company I will list it below; 1) never calls ahead then charges you even if they do not cut your full property (yes this after initial request of a call before service) 2) when they say they are going to come- they take all day to get to your property (highly inconvenient) 3) they cover your newly mulched area with cut grass and think it s ok not to fix it unless you bring it up To them 4) they do the job so quick that the whole job looks terrible and almost like a 8 year old did it. Patches of tall grass, patches of overly short grass, and dead grass that they keep clumped around your yard so that it will kill the nice grass underneath. Soooo terrible to say the least. We ended up getting our own lawn mower to cut it ourselves.

I would not recommend. I don t even know the quality of their services because I have never used them. But they continually sent me emails for an invoice of $66.50. I repeatedly told them I have never used their services. They reported me to a collection agency. I paid it off to stop the harassment and to avoid it affecting my credit. Be careful if you do decide to use them.

This company has charged me more than the previous and established rates for yard-work at my property without letting me know twice before we parted ways. They have no documentation of my authorization either time. Their excuse is that it takes too long to get my authorization the day of so they dont have to come back another day because its inconvenient for them. They had previously given me the impression that leaf removal was a flat cost of $40 based on the initial quote and established rate over months of using them. Then one day it became $50. The owner apologized, refunded the $10 and said that they should have gotten authorization for the additional cost. Then a few months later, they charged me $100 for the same job they had been charging $40 previously. The owner stated I gave permission for a higher cost but I was never told it would be over DOUBLE the normal cost (I assumed it would be $50 like the last time there were extra leaves to remove). Furthermore, in my opinion as a guy that used to rake the leaves in the yard, there were LESS leaves than previous times when they charged $40, both by my assessment of the property before and by what was left in the organic dumpster after, where they often put the leaves. The owner continued to cover, saying they increased the cost of their hourly labor and that they felt they were undercharging for their work time on leaf removal. He even offered to refund it but then reneged a few weeks later. Furthermore, they have damaged my property multiple times while cutting my grass. They have damaged a path to a garden though it was fairly easily fixed. Then they damaged another path border irreparably. They offered $50 for this. Additionally, they routinely scalp the grass to the dirt leading to its immediate death in the south Texas sun. I have brought it up multiple times to the owner but they continue to do it week after week. They started out great and the pricing started fair, but the quality over the long-term was inconsistent with no improvement when brought up while I eventually felt like I was getting gouged on jobs with cost and effort.

Macario Brothers are clearly one of the more professional services out there and are happy to educate you on best practices for your lawn. Its easy to see they put care and effort into their work and is why they have so many happy customers.

I am so pleased with how healthy our lawn has been due to the fertilization/weed control plan Macario Brothers offers! I even saved on watering costs and the results are far superior than doing it ourselves, feels like a huge win! Some of our friends and family have also signed up with them! Very professional and great service

Called them for some ideas for landscaping my new house. Since I m new to the area I wasn t familiar with the plants. They spent the time to educate me on what was the best plants for the are and came up with a fantastic design. They were prompt with the install and their employees were courteous and respectful .

Douglas and his crew were able to come and give me a free estimate, and schedule an appointment the very next week! I go to him for all my lawn care and tree services I get my front/backyard done twice a month! Fair prices, and Douglas and his team work hard to get my yard looking perfect every single time.

They overcharged me almost one hundred dollars for top dressing. They do not do the work but basically contract it out to third parties. One of those third parties sub contracted by Macario left me an invoice on my door for 100 dollar cheaper than what Macario gouged me for. They kept changing their price, they originally quoted me 200, then it jumped to 300, then they finally charged me 319. Also never left me a report of what fertilizer/weed killer was used and in what amounts when they serviced my lawn. Im switching to true green instead of these clowns

I had a 40 palm tree I needed down. The crew showed up on time at 8:00 AM and were done by 11:00. They were professionals from start to finish. The clean up was very good too. No surprises... just the way I like it.

No call, no show (and on a Friday night at that)! I must admit that I was initially impressed. I use another company for lawn care but asked if they could recommend anyone for general landscaping work since they dont offer that service. They immediately recommended this company and even sent over a referral. Within 30 minutes I received a text from Ashlee saying they had an available appointment same day (Friday) between 6 - 8 PM. I replied stating that was perfect and she confirmed the appointment (Ashlee was great). Well... after rearranging plans to stay home on a Friday night you can imagine I was a little disappointed that they not only didnt show up, but didnt even bother to call. I purposely waited until today (Tuesday) to write this review just to see if they would realize their error and reach out next business day, but nope... Its such a shame as all the reviews seem so positive but I truly value communication above all else. Im flexible, stuff happens, and things get rescheduled on me all the time, but what matters most is being kept in the loop during it all and I cant even get A call.

Keeps my yard looking new and fresh

For a few months I waf paying to have them service my yard. More than half the time I was having to call and complain that something had been forgotten about our missed. My wife was working from home one day, they showed up, weed eater started, stopped(maybe 8 seconds) another guy walked around the yard, they left... I was charged for a full service.

Douglas and team did a great job with the Christmas lights installation. Installation looks great and very clean. I would highly recommend for any holiday lighting needs.

I have an extremely tiny yard and they wanted to charge me $100 at first. I told them I would give them $60 and they accepted it. HOWEVER, the next day .. I had a man come to me and offer me $20 every two weeks for my yard because of how small it was. They took advantage of me and how unknowledgable I was to the pricing of lawn care.. BEWARE to all women/ men who are not aware of what a fair cost should be for your yard work. These guys will gladly rip you off... Their craigslist add also included 20% off a new customers 1st service ... I never was notified of this

Had a tree in front yard in serious need of trimming (broken limbs and overhanging roof). Did estimate on a Tuesday and arrived on time the following day. Asked for a tree damaged from a wind storm here in San Antonio, Texas to be removed. I had Six estimates. All requested pictures to be sent. Only one came in person to review the damage and provide an exact quote. Prices range from $300-$900. The cheapest did no hauling. Macario Brothers offered the mid range price and the only company to take the time to inspect the damage in person. Work was quick, efficient, and professional. The next time you need lawn and tree service remember the Macario Brothers Lawn Care.

On time and their quality of work was outstanding!

Douglas and his assistance turned an ugly Red Oak tree into a beautiful addition to our yard. The tree is about 25 years old and had gathered a large amount of dead and low hanging branches. Also a large number of branches were overhanging several places on our roof. They took out all of the dead branches and removed all of the limbs overhanging the roof. They were fast and cleaned up all of the debris from the yard. I highly recommend this company to anyone that needs tree service.

I couldn t be happier! I requested a quote on Home Advisor and immediately got a phone call. Douglas and I agreed to meet the next day, after I got off work. I told him what I wanted for my tree trimming, he gave me a quote. Seeing how my neighborhood brush pick up begins 7/9, I needed it done now. Quote was decent. Today, they started after lunch and completed the job a bit before 3pm. My trees look good! The best part of this experience is that they worked with me when it came to the branch that had a bird sitting on her nest. They cut around it. They were very understanding about 1 of my trees that I was hesitant to cut too much off of, even though parts of it are dying. They were quick yet professional. Would I recommend this company? Darn right I would and I do!!!
