I paid over $500 for this service and my lawn had went below average to a dead lawn with growth in patches. I seriously regret this service. Going to have to wait until the fall and start over and hiring a professional lawn service !!!

My lawn looked terrible and I had worked on it for a couple of years and with no luck. I finally decided that I needed help. I called TruGreenCare and they came right out. Oh what a difference. I finally have a nice lawn. All my neighbors tell me how nice it looks now. I should have called TruGreen sooner.

Ali Ferrell rang our doorbell; then we exchanged greetings, and he told me what service he was going to perform. I mentioned two or three areas in the back yard that I wanted him to be sure to cover. He said he would, and that was the extent of our conversation. Hes a pleasant young man.

This is the 2nd year of using TruGreen Lawn Care. I had a lawn maintenance service before them for 2 years. But they told me that it takes 15 to 18 months for the weeds to disappear. And I still have weeds. I am a disabled military veteran and I dont know what to do.

they do an ok service. I still have a lot of weeds and dandy lions in my yard. I have a hill side and it seams it wasnt even touched.

We use TruGreen for insect, weed and disease control as well as general lawn health. We have a very varied garden with many types of shrubs, trees and perennials. They have helped us keep everything looking wonderful.

They sprayed for mosquitoes and other crawling critters like ticks and fleas etc. They took time to talk with me before treatment and afterward told me of potential problems with insects which have infested my bushes, which he sprayed for and handed me a brochure about it. I was very skeptical about using trugreen for mosquito service. We live on a lake so theyre usually pretty bad. This summer has been the best ever. My wife and I havent gotten 1 mosquito bite at all. The technician that came today was Antonio S from in the Bedford, VA area and he was amazing. Today is the 1st time Ive seen him spray and he sprayed everywhere. He really did a great job!

The lady that did my service today was fantastic! Professional and polite. She got the job done and done well! I hope she will spray my yard from now on!!

Manuel came to the door to get SPECIFICS on where to aerate and seed instead of assuming. The quality to work was different this time. The dirt/soil was VERY much disturbed this time, AND I could actually SEE where the seed had been dropped. Manuel is my guy, and want him for any future services (IF I ever get services again, LOL). I just wish the services could be right THE FIRST TIME. TruGreen you exhaust me, LOL.

My yard looks healthy and I have very few issues since using Tru Green.

Received a text stating technician has arrived. Looked outside and saw no truck or signs of a technician. Few minutes later received a text stating service had been completed. No service was done at my home. Pretty sure this is not the 1st time occurring. Very disappointed with this company and it s services they provide.

I contracted this lawn service during the fall and winter of 2020, but directed them to not initiate service until the spring of 2021. My wishes were totally ignored. After turning the service providers away from my home initially I conceded that Trugreen had no interest in following my direction. Over the course of the year I received texts more than once of their plan visit to my home and they never showed, instead coming on other dates. This company is too unreliable and untrustworthy. Now they are begging to return. They obviously don t understand the meaning of NO!

Tech is okay. The IT department needs improvement.

Less than a month into service and Im seeing wonderful results in my lawn. Grass is fuller and problematic weeds are being eliminated. Cant wait to see how lovely my lawn becomes as the season goes forward.

They were prompt at calling me back and getting started with my service.

I have made a positive review of TruGreen lawn care but was not given an opportunity to air my only grievance until now. It would be helpful if I could be given an advanced reminder of how much money a certain service is going to be before the service is done. For instance, I was told that the service of aeration and over-seeding was about to be performed. However, I received no reminder of the total cost which would be withdrawn from my bank account for that service. Although somewhere, deep in recesses of my mind, I believe I was told when I signed up, but it still would be nice to have a reminder so I wouldnt have such a shock when reviewing my bank account.

Hokie alert: Bad service here. We signed up for the almost 800 bucks a year for full treatment. When we signed up, we expressed that we had a crabgrass problem. As of July, we still had crabgrass everywhere. I called in and talked with the manager who said he had been there the longest at that branch. I expressed the issue we were having and he said he didnt know if it was Dallas grass or crabgrass- and really he didnt seem to care. He was rude and condescending. I cancelled the service and he happily accepted my request, but yesterday we returned home and saw they had done another treatment and our account had been billed. Im a scientist at Virginia Tech and I would like other Hokies to know that this place is not where you want to put your money. Mistakes are human, rudeness and disregard for consumer satisfaction is unacceptable.

They changed the price on me three times. The used a spray wand to treat almost two acres of grass. I complained and they apologized and told me they would send a machine for a more consistent coverage. When they showed up it was the same guy as before with the wand. I called again to speak with the supervisor and got the run around. Called to cancel and they gave me a credit and said the supervisor would call the next day. I got a call but no message was left nor a number to give a call back.

I only have one star because there was no way to show zero star. When they actually do show up they don t do what I pay for. I paid over $700 for the year s service up front. They say they will come back and give you a free service but you pay for something you don t get so not only is it free (by their standard) they don t actually come back. I have filmed the times they have been here and done virtually nothing. They are a total rip off.

Horrible customer service. Driver didn t know what areas to treat. 1st service was not even 50% complete 2nd service driver had no idea which area he was treating 3rd service he came a day later to treat what the 2nd service guy already treated. Long story shot the CSD did nothing about it to resolve issue. I would never use or recommend this company.

Never killed any weeds, only put fertilizer in a few places. We payed for a treatment they put up there sign but they never treated the lawn we saw on our security camera.

Where do I start. Jokes on me for not reading these reviews before I committed to spending my hard earned money. First application was the liquid fertilizer. The workers haven t realized that most people are working from home and watching them. The guy sat in the truck for around 25 minutes. When he got out and started the application, he did strips of the yard and didn t cover the entire yard (rush job) then he got back into the truck, put TRUGREEN cards on 3 stakes and put one in my yard and two yards across the street (btw he didn t even touch the yards across the street). He got back in his truck and sent a text saying your TRUGREEN specialist just arrived and will be available to discuss questions, etc. , and at the same time sent another text saying your service is complete then pulled off. Two days later I received a text saying someone was coming out to do lime soil amendment. Now, I m not a TRUGREEN expert, but I know enough to know that this application would leave some type of residue being that it is a grainy dust/pebble like composite that requires watering to be broken down into the soil... well again, I was at home when I received a message saying the guy had arrived and would be available for questions, and then a message saying that he was finished.. so the only conclusion I came up with is that the worker was a ninja warrior, all of his equipment was cloaked, and TRUGREEN has invented a transparent lime to apply, because I never saw anyone while staring out of my dining room window.... it really sucks to spend your hard earned money only to be taken advantage of, or feeling like you have to be home every time things are done, because you can t trust the companies workers to do what they are paid to do.... I m thinking of cancelling the remainder of my service and trying lawn doctor as I have heard great things. Taking suggestions from people who pay for these type of services??

They billed me when I didnt even confirm the order. Last person I talked to said she couldnt help me. Very unprofessional.

Had this service for 2 years, would perform more than I agreed to and bill me for it. Next to impossible to get on the phone and get the issue resolved. Would never do business with them again.

This is my second year with TruGreen. My yard is flourishing. Excellent service.

So far this company has been unreliable and unresponsive. They have not kept appointments even after rescheduling and have claimed to provide services that were not rendered. Their only response is they can reschedule me for several weeks in the future. I have been unable to reach a local representative to discuss my concerns.

Engaged their services last year when my lawn was very stressed and infested with wire grass. Initial treatment was aeration and seeding which was clearly too sparse to address my mostly bare yard. I ve reached out to Tru Green a total of about 15 times over the past nine months. The initial seeding produced no growth in the fall. I was told to wait till the spring and if there was not adequate growth, my problem would be addressed. Once spring came hold times lasted at least an hour. Despite this I spoke to about 10 different operators via live chat or on the phone and explained my problem each time. My concerns were recorded and I was told either that someone would come out to look at my lawn or someone would call me back. I received a few phone calls from operators and twice was told that someone would come to my home to reassess my lawn and make recommendations. I took off work for one appointment, the technician never showed up. I have asked multiple times to speak to a manager or supervisor but my request has not been granted. Today a technician showed up at my house to apply fertilizer or weed control to my lawn which is largely bare dirt. He informed me that re-seeding would not take place until the fall, and recommended that I apply Round Up to my yard. I will be hiring a gardener to try to help me grow some grass in my yard this spring. Tru Green s customer service is appalling.

I give two stars because initially, they DID arrive and complete core aeration and fall over-seeding (I only know because I was home to witness it). From that point on, I can only assume the following two treatments were done (I wasnt home). What I can say, is the third treatment wasnt done. I was at home sick, and the TruGreen technician drove up my driveway, did a U-turn, and left. He never actually got out of the truck (I suppose he needed his GPS to say he had been here to keep from getting fired?) He stuffed the invoice and door hanger in my mail box at the bottom of the driveway and never came back. I received an automated message saying Congrats! Your lawn was treated! No... no it certainly was not. 30 minutes on hold to talk to a lady who was basically uninterested in the situation and simply promised I would get rescheduled for another visit at no charge. NO charge? Ive already paid the year up front! What you mean is Ill get the service I was supposed to get yesterday, maybe? UPDATE: Customer service has emailed to assure me they will make it right and have scheduled a different technician to service my lawn. Rather than cancel, I am willing to give this another go. I will gladly change my review if I see follow through the rest of the season.

Signed up for mosquito/pest control and was given date of service 1.5 weeks later. They never showed up that day and online app said that they would scheduled new date for ASAP and never contacted me with new date. I had to call them and they had moved the date another 1.5 weeks out. Awful service.

I have used TruGreen since November 2018. In that time I have had several issues. The first came when I had my yard aerated and seeded in 2019. Apparently this service auto renews every year. I received a notification in 2020 of the service date for my next aeration and overseed. I called the company and asked that they not perform the service this year and voiced my concern over the auto renewal system. They were very polite and said they had cancelled the service. A week later a received a notification that TruGreen was on the way to my house to perform the aeration and overseed. I called the company and told them I didnt want it done. Too late. It had already been done. I refused to pay and the charge was cancelled. When I look on the app it doesnt show up as having been completed, even though I know it was because there were plugs of dirt everywhere and seed all over the sidewalk. The second issue arose in July of 2020. I was working from home due to the pandemic and watched out the window as the service tech arrived, got out, walked around about 1/4 of the yard, sprayed ONE small area, despite weeds in multiple sections of the yard, and left. He was there three minutes total. Never went into the back yard. The most recent issue arose when I received a notification last week that TruGreen would be stopping by for a Summer Boost service due to the hot and dry weather we have been having. The notification ensured there was NO CHARGE for this service. No mention of my regularly scheduled service occurring at the same date and time. I assumed it was a free service so why not? My yard had been ransacked due to a sewer repair and had I known my regularly scheduled service would occur at the same date and time I would have cancelled because I had no intention of paying for a service when the yard was torn up. Yesterday, I received a bill from TruGreen which charged me for both the Summer Boost as well as the regular service, which I did not realize had even occurred. I contacted costumer service asking that both charges be credited because I felt their communications were deceptive and misleading. I was told the Summer Boost charge would be removed but not the regular service. I explained that every single time Ive had a service in the past Ive received an email and a push notification letting me know it was scheduled, yet this time I only received a push regarding the Summer Boost. No email or push reminding me of the regular service. I have cancelled my account with them and will find someone local to perform these services in the future. Stay away from TruGreen. Not only do they use deceptive business practices, but they send out lazy and incompetent crews to service your lawn.

Last guy came in, sit in front of my house for few minutes, wrote a report pretending he did the service and left. I called the company to cancel the service and to prevent being charged for nothing and they promised to do so, but when I got my credit card statement I did find out they charged me double instead of cancelling...

We have two years experience with Truegreen. Everything started off great until trugreen decided to do a service that we did not expect nor consent to and charge our card on file double the norm. Its been extremely difficult getting our account settled after numerous calls, and emails wherein I requested them to cancel and delete our account. I received confirmation via email in which truegreen has contended that we owe them more money in addition to the last treatment! Anywhere between 350.00- over 600.00 depending on which representative I speak to. We owe zero and are DAILY receiving harassing calls and voice-mails! I reported to better business recently for assistance in which I had to right a lengthy complaint. I see no end in sight. Things were great until the last decision from truegreen to treat our yard for an insect which we NEVER requested. Hope this helps other customers who trust that this company can be trusted for future contracts. BEWARE!

Do not recommend at all as I caught them not doing my entire yard and charging me full price. I called to speak with a supervisor about it and have yet to receive a phone call back and its been 4 days this company is a fraud!

Horrible unreliable service

Can you please tell your salesmen to STOP walking into my yard and clipping my stuff!!! Twice now he has done this, trying to get me to sign up for a service. Both times suddenly my roses start dying. Three years apart, and within a week or so of him touching and clipping, I have dead stuff. Trespassing and touching someone s property is criminal.

Old age has crept up on me and I am unable to tend the lawn myself. So good to have a reliable company like TruGreen do the work for me.

They were great at first but recently no one would call back about the issues I was having. They stop doing the service that they said they would do and I left multiple emails, phone calls and messages and no reply ever I would think twice before using this company.

Worst service experience on two different occasions out of trugreen. I had their service for years at my pervious address and when I moved I transferred service. After being at my new address I noticed they were only treating the front lawn and not even walking into my back yard. After complaining they came back out and treated the back yard. I noticed after the next treatment they also skipped my back yard so I canceled service. Two weeks ago their sales rep stop by MY house and asked if they could earn my business back. After explaining why I left he assured me they had changed out their staff and were willing to make things right. The very first treatment they didn t show up but I got a bill in the mail. After contacting them and spending over a hour on the phone we determined they had went to my pervious address from four years ago and treated that lawn and were billing me for it. After I contacted their corporate office they acted as if this was my problem that they went to the wrong address. After all they are the ones that knocked on MY door at my current address and asked to service my yard but ended up going to the wrong address. Will never deal with trugreen out of Roanoke va again! Don t bother sending your sales guys to my address to feed me more of your BS !

My experience with TRUGREEN was outstanding. April Alexander was my technician and was attentive to my needs. She arrived at the time specified, was friendly clean and courteous. She even enjoyed my animals and gave me the time needed to round them all up and get them put up. I was impressed how she took care of the equipment and her neatness. I will welcome her back anytime I need more service. I dont see any #s from 1-10 to rate her work...so Ill give April a 10+

Customer service sucks, I purchased a 1 year contract and paid 100% up front, I bought fertilizer, weed killer, lime and grub control. Was told by sales that it would all be done in 1 visit. Did not happen! 1st visit, fertilizer and weed killer, 2nd visit was lime, was supposed to put down 425 pounds, only put down about 50lbs and put on ticket 425lbs, so tech lied because I watched him. Still have not got grub treatment which was promised a week ago. I have talked to customer service several times to work it out with NO success. I am a business owner and know how customer service is supposed to work, not like this!

Very unhappy with my service. Poor customer service and impossible to get in contact with the local manager for questions/concerns. Several lawn services not done when paid for and when discussed with the main corporate site they seem very uninterested in my concerns. Will not be using TruGreen next year.

Unreliable, technician I dealt with was uninformed, rude, etc. Waste of money. Lawn full of weeds.

DO NOT PAY IN ADVANCE! the first time the guy came out to aerate and seed he did about half the lawn, and ran the aerator over my paver walkway, breaking pavers. After I complained, asking that a different guy be sent out, they sent out the same person. This time he turned the aerator off but took steep turns on my driveway and pavers, leaving tire marks that wont come off, even with a power washer. I have terminated the contract and have my fingers crossed I get some sort of refund. Life is too short to worry about Trugreen trashing my yard.

I bought an annual lawn package from TruGreen. They performed two weed control applications in the spring so the yard was 20% dirt all summer. This fall was supposed to be another weed control appointment. They never showed up. By the time the visit was rescheduled it was so late in the season that I feared it would have an impact on fall reseeding so I cancelled it (no refund). At the same time I scheduled the aeration and reseeding. The first three appointments were cancelled, two due to rain and once they just never showed up. I called three times and asked for a manager to call me. No one ever did. They arrived today. The machine punched aeration holes in the leaf-covered lawn and seeded over it, a worthless effort. The tech said he couldn t do the back yard because the machine wouldn t fit through the fence gates and his hand-seeder didn t have a strap. This was the worst expenditure I have ever made in my yard by a large margin.

I hate to do this- and I will edit if they decide to call me back- but their technician locally seems to need training or to care. Not only has he spread lime and fertilizer all over my driveway and sidewalk (which once it rains makes an insane mess) but he/she decided to take the aerator across my driveway and tear my driveway up. I called and cancelled my service (they were supposed to make live easier not harder) and asked for my driveway to be repaired- 2 months later- still no response.

Awful service, they never call you back. I called the so called local number and someone answered from a call center. I would never recommend calling them or using them.

The technicians that come to my house have always been friendly and knowledgeable. My neighbors always comment on how nice my yard looks.

I have never posted a review but I felt this company has earned a post. I have been working with True Green for two years now. My lawn often has the golf course look with beautiful green colors, healthy and full (no patches or bare spots) grass. The level of customer services has been outstanding. They constantly try to communicate with the customer (phone, email and knocks on your front door). It is almost annoying; however, they are just trying to do their job and are trying to keep you /customer happy (which almost never happens with other companies) . True Green is not the typical company that you have to hunt down or get stuck on endless phone trees after you pay. Most importantly, I think True Green an U.S. employer. If I have a question, I can speak to a customer service representative on a clear phone line and the representatives speak English like native speakers. I am a more than satisfied customer. Keep up the good work True Green. I have a beautiful lawn and great customer service representatives. Totally worth it! I will try to add a photo to my post when I get a chance.

Did not perform the services I paid them to do. Wife has reported that technicians have ghosted on multiple occasions.

Paid for service that was never received. They said they would look into it but never did. When I went to the office I was lied to made to wait and left feeling unimportant. Will be trying someone new next year

While I don t use TruGreen s services, one of their workers, driving a company truck CANNOT adhere to our private gravel road speed limit of 10 mph. I reported him for a second time today. When I yelled for him to slow down, he sped up and tore down the gravel road kicking up dust.

I am a customer of TruGreen and it is not possible to call them. When you call their listed number, you get someone out of state that provided false information. I am always suspicious of any gang that can contact me and I am unable to contact them.

Where did the weeds go?

Horrible branch. Needs to shut down. Wrongly charged me for services on an old address 2 years after we moved out. During a follow up call the person lied about her name .. found out during my second follow up call when I was told that there was no one with that name working there. This place is a total joke /sham. No wonder I had discontinued services with them 4 years ago.

Excellent Service

The specialist is agreeable/amiable. Treatment applied to the backyard had tremendously improved the lawn, which was mostly weeds. There are still bare spots in the back and in the front left. The front yard on-the-while is beautiful. More work needs to be done on the right side looking at the entrance of my home . I am not satisfied with side of the hill. The scheduled have been consistent; however I did not receive notification for the end/of/the-month June treatment. When will it be applied?

I thought I would give them a try again, but had horrible custmer service. Such a shame they do not want to keep good customers.

After some additional application and adjustments to the materials being added, my lawn is looking a lot better than it did earlier in the year...much greener and fuller and less weeds.

I have had an issue with every treatment they did. They always send somebody new who doesnt know the boundaries, I have had weeds all summer, and the last treatment the guy told me he had 25 minutes to do the service and he had to pick and choose what he did so he could finish the job in time. Awful experience. The worst customer service in any industry I have ever seen.

Ive used TruGreen for over 10 years. The last notes left on the door over the past few months stated the service that was provided and that all is well. Unfortunately this was not true, our landscape had significant scale that ended up killing multiple mature shrubs. The guys who mow my lawn are the ones who brought this to my attention. I feel like the TruGreen technician just simply apply chemicals and dont pay attention to whats happening. The technician should be identifying these problems, not the lawn mowing company. Service seems to be one size fits all. Now $2000 worth of shrub replacement later, Ive opted for a different, smaller provider who will pay greater attention to details.

Terrible customer service, can never talk with anyone local. Treatment is very spotty, weed control is marginal. Dont waste your money with TruGreen.

The last visit I had from a TRUGREEN specialist was just like every previous visit. All of these people are working hard to give me one of the best looking lawns in the neighborhood .

Initially, I chose TruGreen to rid my yard of rampant dandelions. Your service has gone above and beyond that. The lawn looks great and also the trees and shrubs have improved greatly after adding the Tree and Shrub service. The specialists always alert me as to when they are coming and are especially courteous and well informed.

I moved into this house in 2006 and for the next several years looked at one of the ugliest lawns I had ever seen. I tried everything I could physically handle. Then a friend told me that TRUGREEN make a difference Since you took over treating my lawn, I am proud when I am told how great it looks.

Promise me five services for the price of 4 but customer service is absolutely horrible there. & I have dead spots from where they did the service the first time I will never use them again and I will tell everyone I know do not use them

The sales department is quite aggressive. They make it difficult to discontinue their service. I received a call at 5 pm that they are coming tomorrow to start the new years service. I called back to decline, but they already closed.
