We hired Green Acres to remove grass from our front yard and level the ground for a gravel driveway. WOW! They did a great job. The landscaper sent out to us, Luis, was professional, quick, and punctual. He also had a lot of positive things to say about management and ownership which is important to me because I try to spend money with good local businesses when I can. When I called to set up the appointment, all of the office staff was very friendly and professional, and were able to get someone out to give us a bid surprisingly quickly given that it was the beginning of the landscaping busy season. I want to send a shout out to Louis for going above and beyond in the job he did on our old farm. He got this place looking fabulous again after being neglected for a year after my husband passed away. I know he is looking down from Heaven and mightily approving. I contacted Green Acres for a yard clean up. They were initially responsive, and Mario came to complete the quote promptly. He was initially professional. I typed up an itemized list of tasks that I wanted completed as part of the project. He assured me I would receive it by Monday. I didnt receive it. I called the office mid week. The office said I would have it in a couple days. They left a voicemail stating that I needed to return the quote signed. Never received it. They resent it due to typing my email in correctly. Hardly anything was listed that was on the list I sent with a price tag of 3k and a 1.5 month wait. The quote was too generalized, so I asked them for a revised quote with an itemized list before I would sign. The receptionist assured me that I would have it in a couple days. On that email Mario, Juan, Luis, and the Green Acres proposal department was copied. The quote didnt come. I emailed all of the individuals listed above, and I said if I didnt have it by the end of the week I would move to another company. I never received any other correspondence. I will give my hard earned money to a company that respects my business.

UPDATE: Mario called me to explain his error. He took full responsibility for the missed appointment. While the previous errors Green Acres made regarding the wait time on the estimate and lack of follow through on my phone calls were not his fault, I greatly appreciate his honesty and integrity to own the mistake he made. For that, I am giving them another chance. All companies have slip ups. Sometimes, there are a series of slip-ups that just happen to fall in the lap of the same person. It happens. I appreciate the effort to make it right. They came out today and did a great job getting my yard shaped up. After waiting 2 months for an estimate, making numerous phone calls and sending several emails just to get my estimate, they no-showed for the job. I was told numerous times the estimate was on the way. I finally told them to forget it - I was going elsewhere. They then decided to finalize my estimate for general yard maintenance. I signed my contract and waited 2 weeks for them to start my yard maintenance. I hadnt heard any type of confirmation about my start date. So, I called the morning they were to start my job. They confirmed that I was on the schedule for that day. However, they never showed up. It seems they have such high demand, they no longer care about clients, integrity or doing a good job. Onward to a company that will appreciate my business and hard earned money. Thanks, but no thanks Green Acres. If you want reliability, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

I have my weekends back and my seasonal allergies are so much better since I hired Green Acres to do my landscaping. They are kind, attentive, professional and go the extra step. Thanks GA for everything you do to make it set and forget. Thanks for treating us like family!

I dont use Green Acres but I came home and their van was parked in my driveway and they were at my neighbors house. My neighbors house is 3 doors down and has a huge driveway. The driver saw me and started walking back to his vehicle. I thought he was going to move it. He grabbed something out of the truck and walked back down to my neighbors house. It was very odd. I would not recommend. I left a note on the van please asking him not to my park there again.

Garbage, they use the same trees and plants at every location and only mow if you re they re lowely coward, begging. The worst landscaping in the world.

I would highly recommend Green Acres Landscape for lawn renovation. The Green Acres employee(Luis) was a one man renovation machine. Working late is appreciated, the work crew decided to stay out past 7 landscaping our complex. However the crew leader who is weed eating (edging) around back patios was careless to stop his job he stated. I stood on my back porch asking him to stop while he got inches away from my bbq cooking my dinner. Chunks of grass were flying everywhere hitting me and covering My plates, sauce, utensils laid out. Finally after the crew leader realizes I m shouting for him to stop. His only words are doing my job as he repeated it multiple times with nothing else to say. Seems like he is to comfortable with people not being home during the day and forgot people are home and possibly cooking dinner later in the day. Day or night this is Unprofessional, afraid to admit this is not the only bad interaction we ve had over the past year.

First time we worked with GA, they installed a new drip/mist irrigation system and then have helped maintain it over the years. That good experience led us to hire their team to lift, replace and expand our large brick patio, adding pathways and a place for our grill. Then to revamp the garden shed floor and the work area. Precision brick work, on time, hard working, professional. Next we are having them replace lawn. We are retired so cost is always a consideration. We feel there is excellent value for the money, and they are considerate of our budget. The photos are just examples.

Green Acres Landscape services a property I manage called Crawford Crossing. They have done amazing landscaping work on our property both timely and efficiently. We have called on them for emergency work and they have answered us immediately by sending someone over to fix the problem. As part of the management team over here, we often throw community events and reach out to our vendors to see if they would like to assist. Green Acres is always quick to lend a helping hand in these events which has built relationships with our tenants and with our management team. They are definitely someone we recommend to those looking for beautiful landscaping and a strong relationship with a credible vendor.

Genaro and his crew arrived after days of pouring rain. Each day they cleaned up the mud before leaving for the day. The sod was placed and watered in thoroughly. The sprinkler system works great and the yards look perfect. Thanks Green Acres for a new lawn!

We hired Green Acres to do a significant cleanup of our overgrown front and back yard. We have several rose bushes, rhododendrons, hydrangeas, and other flowering plants that needed pruning, as well as ivy along a retaining wall that was getting out of hand and a privacy hedge of laurel that was very overgrown. The Green Acres crew did a great job of getting everything back to a manageable condition, and it looks lovely! We are very pleased and would recommend Green Acres.

Melissa and her crew did a wonderful job at Hunters Ridge in Eugene. The crew was very patient with the issues with the fire line and jumping in to redo the fixes. Great job

An estimator came out quickly after I contacted them and asked for an estimate on new bark and monthly landscaping for our small business in NE Salem. I waited a week then two weeks and finally called them to ask about the quote. I ve called at least 3x and they always say they re going to send it but they never do so I m giving up!!

Never returned my call from 02/22/22.

The overall work by green acres is fine but after you sign a contract with them their company is horrible at calling you back if you have questions or responding to emails. I called them probably 7-8x over the last few months about scheduling to have our hedge trimmed and while the front desk took my messages and passed it along, never heard back!! Even when I had general questions about cost to remove or add services, never heard back. This is a decent company if you never need to talk to them after signing a contact.

Tom repaired my sprinkler system by replacing the panel, replacing the sprinkler heads, and verifying there was no water leaks. He really knows his stuff! We will definitely use this company again and recommend others do business with them.

We had Green Acres install turf in our back yard just over a year ago and have been having difficulty with them since. It started with them underestimating the amount of turf needed to complete the job and costing us an extra 5k for them to piece together the turf they had, leaving multiple seams that are still visible. They changed the layout of our back yard and moved sprinklers for the install. The sprinkler did not work and they needed to come back out and get them to run. Now they spray directly on the house. We have been trying to get in contact with someone to come out and look at the turf as we had questions about the quality of the turf as it looks like it has melted/burned and we are concerned that it might be a manufacturing defect. This process took about 10 months to finally get someone to come out and look at the turf. We told them about all of about concerns and got the feeling that we were getting brushed off/dismissed at the time. It has since been a couple of more months since they were out looking at our turf and a couple of phone calls later and we have still not heard back. I would not recommend Green Acres to do anything in your yard if you expect to have any kind of follow up questions, or for them to fix any mistakes made in installation.

Do not use if you re outside of Salem. They give you lots of excuses. We used them for our backyard renovation earlier this year. -Poor communication from project lead. -relied on my poorly drawn design for our deck -Sent only 1 staff member to build our entire deck. (Thanks Arturo!) he was great, but I felt really bad that he was doing it all himself. I had to advocate for little details like getting the screw heads covered and securing down the tops of our railing, which turned out a little sloppy (pictures posted) -don t warranty their plants even though most nurseries do for a year and give excuse that we re out of town. I have bought anything from candles to furniture and enjoyed the high quality of each item. The store is lovely just to walk around and staff is friendly and helpful. I also like the more rural location, not crowded, no pressure.

My best friend hired these clowns to specifically mow, weed, and remove bamboo. They have a pollinator yard so there were lots of plants designed to attract pollinators and support them, the crew dug up the entire yard and left it bare, only cut the bamboo to ground level (so itll definitely grow back), and absolutely destroyed a rare species of Japanese maple, they cut it down into a circle. They werent even supposed to touch it. Wouldnt trust these people with shears or a shovel near anyones home!

I was having several problems with my sprinkler system and called Green Acres for help. First off the lady on the phone was wonderful and very helpful. They got someone out within the week and I couldnt be happier. James was very professional and knowledgeable ... he listened to my problems and addressed everyone of them ... replacing wires, heads and reprogramming my system. He took his time till he found everything that I was concerned with. I just have to say James is an asset to their team! I would recommend Green Acres for any of your lawn and irrigation system needs.

I guess Ive been fortunate. Everything went smooth again. As long as you know what goes where? Those Employees are more than glad to assist you in anyway they can. If you try to break their rules? Believe me, they will step in and correct you. Best, if youre not sure about something? Just ask, they will professionally help you.

Talked with Mario over the phone about our new build and needing at least an acre of new yard done (sprinklers, lighting, fence, grass, rock, trees, flowers, etc). We made an appt, about 10 days out, and he didn t show. I call and texted after waiting about 45 minutes and no response and never called back. Then we went into the store to look around. There is a table in there I am (or was) very interested in buying but not ready to purchase it because we weren t in our home yet & had no place to store it. The girl took my info, was going to call the company of table and check stock & see if I could order one a few months down the road if the floor one was gone. Well I never heard from her either. Business must be real good for them to snub a $100k yard budget. I don t get it.

Green Acres did an amazing job on our front porch project. After discussing the project, we decided to go with pavers instead of cement and I couldnt have asked for a better crew to do this work. I highly recommend using Green Acres for future projects! - Josh

I called late November for getting our small front yard underground sprinkler system winterized. I thought price was reasonable so they took down my info and said the tech would call me when I was next for scheduling. Two weeks later & the tech (Tom?) called me to schedule & even said he could come that day. I was busy in the backyard with another vendor, but he came & did his thing and let me know when it was finished. Received a paper bill soon after & called to pay it. Would use this company again!

We had Green Acres redo our landscaping before we sold our home a couple of years ago and they did an amazing job! They were wonderful to work with and very fair. They listened to our needs and created a plan that worked well for the space and our wallet!

I rarely write reviews, but Im compelled to comment about this Landscape company. Our 2 acres of fully landscaped yard was a jungle. We were way behind in pruning, weeding, and overall care. The grass was ages old, lumpy and overrun with weeds. The trees were shaggy and unkempt. The ornamentals and shrubbery looked ill and untidy. Today it is absolutely immaculate thanks to Green Acres. We invited 4 companies to our place to get quotes on the work. 3 of the 4 wanted to just wipe our slate clean and start over. Rich with Green Acres was the only one that showed up and had a vision utilizing what we have and his attention and knowledge of all our existing landscape was refreshing. In the end it was not price (even though they were the lowest quote), it was respect to the 25 years of time and effort we put into the landscape....regardless of how overgrown it had become. Luis and Charles spent 45 days on the project. 5 days a week starting in mid September. They worked in the heat, the cold, and the rain. Nonstop and methodically made their way around our property. The way they worked on every plant and on every detail was wonderful. We really felt like they were sharing ownership in the landscape with us. Each day when they were done, they cleaned up behind themselves and hauled away all the debris. At no time did they leave piles of debris...not once. Over the years, we have had other Landscape companies do work for us, but never have we felt like we wanted them to return. That way has changed for us. Green Acres will do all our work and we look forward to them coming out in February to prune the fruit trees and the ornamentals. I cannot recommend this Landscape company enough. Their price is fair, their work ethic is unmatched, they truly do care and it shows in their work. I know that Luis and Charles with Green Acres (amazing guys!) took before and after pics and would encourage them to chime in on this review and share if they like.

They have a big selection of Christmas trees. Both flocked and unflocked.

Wow... took a chance on getting a tree delivered this year. These guys rocked it. We ordered online and paid, 10 hours later we had a big beautiful tree and wreath delivered to our door. It cost maybe $10 more than if we would ve gone out and gotten it ourselves. Far beyond our expectations, these guys are doing it right.

I shifted to Green Acres because the service of my former landscaper had declined severely the past few years. Green Acres performance has in every way been far superior, especially since I have a lot of land full of trees, bushes and hedges. The workers are efficient, professional and quite courteous. They rake up my gravel walk path and bark dust, which the former didnt do. When they finish, the grounds almot seem like a new landscaping. I look forwad to years of service from Green Acres.

I called on Black Friday to schedule my annual back flow test. Left a msg. The following Monday morning I received a call from Kim. We confirmed I needed the test done and she would have the tech that does the test get in contact with me. Well Monday Im home for lunch. Tom from GA was at the door. Being he was in the area hed stop by and see if Im home. What timing. Test was done in minutes, as always with Tom. Perfect timing. It was good to see Tom again and outstanding job. Thanks a Lot. 3 or 4 yrs of quality, timely work. Thank you Tom and Kim.

Not sure I can say enough good things about this place. We went there to get a tree and after searching was able to find the perfect one. We were also going to have them put a stand on it for us but the drill they needed had been locked up for the night. They asked if we could come back the next day and they would have it all ready for us. We agreed. When I came back the next day they had forgot to tag the tree and another employee sold our tree. The employees there were so apologetic and walked us all around trying to find us another one. We really didnt see one we liked so I was just going to go somewhere else. The female employee that was working there asked if we liked flocked trees which I hadnt considered because of the cost. She brought me into the showroom and had me look at all their trees. We found one that was similar to what we had picked out but the price tag was much higher. I told her that we couldnt afford that to which she told me that I was only going to pay the original amount which was significantly less. She told me that they sold my tree to someone else so it was their job to make it right. They also had it delivered and set up in our home the next day free of charge. Now that is real customer service! We will forever go back to Green Acres every year for our Christmas tree. Thank you so much for your attitudes and how you handled the situation!!!

Was waiting for cars to stop so I could cross the street in Salem and their vehicle passed without yielding to me. Their workers need to follow Oregon law about stopping for pedestrians waiting to cross the street.

We have attempted to use Green Acres for 2 different jobs at different times. We have learned through this process that they will purposely bid your job WAY over what the average cost would be so they dont have to do the job. Our most recent attempt to have them do a job of seeding our back yard they just didnt show up for the est. appointment after making us wait over a month for the appointment. When we called they said oh we didnt even have you on our schedule. I would save your time because your business doesnt really matter to this company. We ended up giving our $12K job to Mike @ Greenway

Green Acres is a great company that does excellent work at a fair price. They have worked for me in 2015, 2016, and will complete the third phase of my project in Spring 2017. Each component of the project has been done carefully and expertly. They have completed a patio expansion, added forty feet of new rock wall, redesigned and expanded the existing irrigation system, added a new deck and small flagstone patio, redesigned my side yard with a curving path, large planters, and crushed rock, and redid the front yard with new contours and new sod. They completed each phase in a way that blends their work in my the front and side yards seamlessly with what theyve done in my backyard. Green Acres crews show up on time, complete all work carefully, and finish on budget and on time. The crews are led by experienced foremen, and all crew members are diligent and careful of the property. They leave the work areas and my whole yard neat and tidy at the end of each days work and at the end of each phase. I have received great customer service in every step of the project from proposal to followup after the work has been completed. These are few of the reasons why Ive hired them a third time to finish the last phase of my landscaping project.

I would never hire Green Acres again. Poor communication, poor quality work from our experience. Dont waste your money or time with these goons

This is an outstanding landscape company! Knowledgable, courteous, cost-effective, and professional. They have done several jobs for me now. Their stone work is beautiful. Each project has turned out better than expected! I have referred 3 different family members to them. There really is no better compliment I can give than that. If anyone asks me if I know a good landscaping company, I can confidently tell them Green Acres!!!

Would never use these guys again! They are liars. Said they called me regarding a bill several times they didnt call me once! I am very good at paying my bills, but they turned me into a collection agency for collection. Then when I confronted them about them calling me, they couldnt give me the exact dates of when they called me, its because they never did. Dont trust them.

Green Acres Landscaping did a wonderful job stonescaping my yard. I didnt even really know what I wanted to begin with but when the owner came out to give me an estimate he sounded like he had a vision and Im so glad I let them do what they do best. They even went above and beyond and leveled out my air conditioning unit. You know you are dealing with a good company when they do things that they arent really advertising that they do. I will definitely use Green Acres again in the future and recommend that you do as well.

Many things were pleased with! The workers listen carefully to our hopes, work out best details. The work is careful and lovely! The products available are a good range of quality/price. The manager builds good rapport with us, understands our expectations. The billing office works with us for mutual satisfaction. We are, and will continue to be, a repeat customer.
