Service started for 90-year-old relative and was decent....then services which were NOT authorized mysteriously appeared on her statements, including aeration service at $414 and monthly treatment service at $99 which was auto billed without her knowledge or consent. When questioned about these charges, was told she had 5 days to notify them or nothing could be done. Scammers. Avoid at all costs!
I signed up to have my lawn service every other week. I was quoted $57 plus tips. From the moment I signed up with the LawnStarter, had nothing but problems. No show on the first scheduled lawn service so the next day after complaining, they sent someone to cut my lawn. The second service after 1 week. Their crew wanted an additional $487.80 to do my lawn. I turned it down. So my lawn was not done. Their crew said that we need Cleanups that include removal and cleanup of debris, such as rocks, mulch, pet waste, and more with a disposal option. And will require 4 hours, 6 people to do the work. My yard was just done by LawnStarter just last week and was completed less than 2 hours max. The pictures posted were from today May 16, 2024 which was one week after it was serviced. We do have 2 small dogs but I do pick up their waste daily. The debris in the yard was just cleaned up by my husband yesterday. No rocks to pick up. Mostly just the leaves that have fallen but not heavily. The additional work should not cost $487.80 The neighbor across the street that maintains their yard quoted me $80 every other week to maintain my yard.
Don't use them. Not worth the time. You call, they make you sign up for an app. Then you get an automated text followed by an automated phone call to call back. When you call back their computer doesn't work with the person they selected so you have to wait for another automated call and call back again. The front desk has no clue what is going on. Just go local and support local business. I called J Velasco Lawn Care in Lincoln right after and have a same day appointment!
This company will charge you a long grass fee no matter what. Every single service they have applied a long grass fee of about $50 even when theres only a few blades of grass over 6". It's a very misleading pricing policy. I will be cancelling service and do not recommend using them. See the photo attached to see what they consider long grass.
The first month or so of service was great. Afterwards things got worse. Really bad customer service and quality. A few key points; 1. Crew member cancelled several times for "personal problems" so I requested a new crew member. 2. I got charged for a service on a certain date and no one showed up. 3. Took before and after pictures of the backyard and its really hard to tell what they worked on. 4. Billing history did not match service history (I took screenshots as evidence). 5. When I signed up I asked to discuss with someone regarding other services and work for my back yard. No one got back to me. 6. Cannot recommend and I will look for another company. Overall, unreliable and a hassle to work/get in touch with.
First time using this service, The crew showed up, took a look at everything and came up with a quote. I accepted the quote, they serviced the lawn, then left. about a week later i was charged about $40 more than quoted. now yes, its only $40 however i was never told of any additional charges that were needed and when i checked the service history on their app it had a "mowing for only $19" fee but was charged $22 for it then it had a "lawn mowing" service charge for $38 so they charged mowing twice and even marked up their own set price? so far not pleased. service itself and job quality were fine but the billing... just watch those quotes!
My experience with lawn starters was horrible. I set up an appointment to get the grass cut and leaves picked up. They quoted me $121 for the whole job. The gardener came and weed wacked the lawn and gathered all of the leaves into a giant pile in the back. The gardener told me he couldn't pick up all of the leaves and would be back later to pick them up. He never showed up. He said he would be there next week to pick up the leaves and never did. I checked my bank statement and they charged me $250 total. They lied to me! They quoted only $121. I called them to cancel the services and to ask for a refund because the work was never done. Two weeks went by I never received my refund. I had to call them again to request the refund. The guy on the phone said that they forgot to send it through. The service I received from Lawn Starters was horrible. Though Its only been a few days since the call. I still haven't gotten the refund to my account. I do hope I will receive it soon. DO NOT USE THERE SERVICES.
I couldn't get service to my property at all. 2 times I scheduled them to come out The person sent me messages saying they came to my property and they couldn't get to the yard. I was home at the time and I did not see anyone pull up to my drive way. I called and talk to customer service and they said they have them pinged with the GPS showing up. Well my camera only shows a few homeless people walking by. Unless they are employing the homeless they neverd showed up. They were supposed to show up today and I get a message saying it (and this how I know they are full of it) inclement weather we have to reschedule. It says the message was sent 2 hours ago but I also go an email saying it was sent 5 minutes after the scheduled time. If they can manipulate the messages sent I am sure they are doing the same with the GPS. Any who not the point. I am better off hiring the homeless guys in the area. Don't waste your time
They have made my life easier for what I consider a good price. I would recommend their business to anyone.
Cancelled so many times. If i could give zero stars I would. Ridiculous excuse as a company
Diego did a great job
Had one bad experience but lawn starter Customer service Megan corrected the problem. Then gave them a second try. The two different crews did a choppy messy job. When I tried to get help in resolving the issue no one would get back to me Do not recommend this company Negative

Diego and his team are always amazing. We started using them when my wife broke her ankle and couldnt mow and were still using them now because they do such a great job. In addition, Diegos team is friendly, conscientious, and careful. So glad my parents sent us to them. A great decision.

Starting my 4th provider in less than a year..
Very unprofessional. I told them the gate on right side of the house was unlocked for them. They tried to open the gate on the left side and broke it. They bent the higes and broke it!! They didnt tell me about, or repair it when I told them about it. I would not hire them.

Mark originally came to mow my front yard, I asked him if he could take a look at a big patch on foxtails I needed removed from my back yard. The next day he came and took them all down something I had been dreading dealing with for weeks! Mark is kind and professional! I was super happy with his service and look forward to having him continue to do my regular maintenance as well as other yard projects I have in the future! Very pleased!!!
The price I pay for the service I get I cant complain about. Rodriguez Gardening and Specifically Juan Rodriguez does an awesome job everytime, especially while covid is going on.
Can never get a hold of customer service. The callback option never works. If you press 1 for new customer, they answer in 10 seconds. For existing customers it s impossible to get a hold of anyone. All i want, is my service cancelled. Its a nightmare trying to find someone. Hoping someone would take notice and help me with canceling my service
Never recieved full service... crews kept canceling service, totally impossible to get to a customer service help. I dealt with this service for 4 weeks and im still looking at bushes needed trimming and weeds still need pulling oh and did a horrible job mowing my front lawn or should i say weeding it. Have email to back up what im saying about tgis company.
This company sent out two crews in the same week and double billed me for 3 weeks until I could get it straightened out and then Jonathan would say he showed up and they would Bill me when in fact I know he didnt show up twice so I have canceled my service this is the second time I have tried to use lawn starter and they have failed to provide adequate and correct service as well as poor poor customer service I will not use them again. Also I just got another email saying how I like their service on the 12th and I know for a fact they didnt show up because it was my twins birthday and I was here all day. They had better not try to Bill me for June 12th
The crews constantly did 1/2 the work, even when paying $300 for a cleanup. There are better apps/services than this one. Edit: At posting I had canceled my services. Its unsurprising that the public reply would be quicker and more professional than anyone sent directly to a customer.
The app is easy to use and makes the process simple. The person showed up to cut and trim my backyard on time and did a great job.

Everything is always perfect! I only have the front yard and they are always on time and its on the pricey side but its well worth me not having to do it!!
My next door neighbor uses them. Their idea of cleaning her front yard is to blow every debris, every piece of fallen leaf, trash etc into my front yard and side yard, under my gate into my back yard! Totally irresponsible! Negative
If I could do a zero I would! But I have to click a star to proceed. Broke rules, invaded privacy and completely went AGAINST all instructions. Horrible service!

If I could rate this as a zero I absolutely would first of all the people that originally quoted me quoted me at $84 and that was last week on June 6 that they were supposed to come they didn t come at all then I got a notification on my phone that they were supposed to come the day of June 16 a week later than I had originally requested and then I get a quote from a guy named Paul at $274 when I had added no additional work to be done so I definitely will be taking my business elsewhere this company is not on time and at this point I d rather hire a 12-year-old to do my lawn
The guy that came last was good professional However before this my appointments scheduled to do service were no shows and the no shows were put down as I canceled, which was not true . When I would leave messages I would never get any to return my calls and getting through to Costomer service is impossible. Other then that I guess it was ok I cancelled my service with this company . Annette

This my company does an excellent job on my yard. They trim my rose bushes pull the weeds and cut my grass and a nice clean up. I can see myself being with this company for a long time.
