Athough they might know how to plant a tree, their service is absolutely is lacking to say the least. Chose another company. Would not recommend them, until they focus on customer service, better scheduling, and follow through. Its what a companys built on.

The guys at Lynchburg Landscapes were awesome. They took my crazy backyard hillside and transformed into a beautiful outdoor space that is much easier to maintain. I would highly recommend these guys.

Update - the owner replied saying this review is filled with inaccuracies, and failed to point them out. Whatever behavior he is referencing on my part, Im honestly not sure, unless its being upset about communication? I think any reasonable customer paying for a project in excess of 10K would have a right to be upset that your office isnt communicating with them. The fact that they broke the contract and reference not charging us for trees that they had paid for like it was a favor is just another reason to be wary of the way they do business. They broke the contract, why on earth would the customer pay for the product in that case? I dont write reviews to retaliate against any business, I write reviews so that people can have an objective bias when they seek businesses to do work on their home. Unfortunately, this business cant seem to accept that and instead needs to resort to trying to attack my character with unfounded accusations of bad behavior on my part. Truthfully, this would be a lot different if the owner had just acted like a professional business owner and contacted me on the phone to end our contract instead of me seeing screenshots of emails that never made it to my inbox days later. Finally, as far as changing the plan - your contract states: Examples of events which may result in delays include, but are not limited to: unfavorable weather conditions; acts of God; access restrictions; contract/project changes for the project being completed before yours.... However, we will give you the same opportunity, during your project, to take advantage of having us there and will allow you to have us create change orders as well. Unless Im misunderstanding this, the customer has a right to make changes, so again - why is this a favor on your part or an inconvenience on mine? *** Cannot speak for the work they perform as it never occurred. My husband and I had an estimate done in January, and by the time May rolled around, it was never started/completed. We had numerous issues - to start with, the plan we were provided was 4x our budget. Why bother asking a customer what their budget is if youre going to come up with something totally outside that? There was constant rescheduling/delays due to every excuse you can think of. We were never kept up to date on what was going on - a secretary in their office kept emailing both my husband and I, and the emails didnt come through. Ok, that happens, but they CONTINUED to try and contact us this way despite the fact there were issues with getting through to us, and never bothered to call us except maybe once. Despite the fact we offered to work with them on temporarily relocating our fenceline to try to bring down costs in the beginning, they dismissed this as not being a viable option, and yet two weeks before they were (supposedly) finally going to begin work, they had the audacity to ask us if they could go ahead and do this - despite the fact we had not planned for it and had not spoken to our neighbors. The list goes on and on, and Im sure the owner will reply with a snarky comment. There have been two other people in my neighborhood who have had negative experiences with this company. The owner continually referenced the fact that this is an award winning company - as far as I can tell it is a single award won once. In the end, they decided they did not want to do the work, and instead of a phone call, said secretary sent us an email, and a second office assistant upon realizing we didnt receive it waited another day to send us screenshots. The owner sent me an email with the subject heading I sent you a check showing a receipt of our deposit being send back to us. Did not get our $400 back for the plan they provided us, (which again, laughable that we had to pay that amount for something outlandishly expensive). Hard pass on these guys, hopefully their award winning reputation lasts beyond the demand they are seeing right now.

Since that time, Scott has visited our property, and I look forward to his quote and potentially working with him in the near future. (Based on the companys response to my first rating, there seems to have been a delay as to when it was seen - hope this edited response clears up any confusion!!!)

Scott, Amanda, and the team at Lynchburg Landscapes rock! I had severe issues with erosion from some of these heavy storms (not anymore - verified with the 12 June 2021 storm that rolled through). The lawn looks beautiful and I have plans to hire them for the remaining phases of my project! The crew that came out are professional, courteous, and hard workers! If they needed to keep equipment in the yard, they asked where it could go, cleaned up after themselves, kept me informed of any issues, and (more importantly) kept Scott informed!! Would recommend...I AM hiring again! Veteran run too!

Scott and his team did an amazing job in helping us to re-imagine and design a new back yard . His selection of plants, boulders and walkway created a beautiful new outdoor space that exceeded our expectations, Scott, Amanda, and the entire team were professional, timely and a pleasure to work with. Although we did not have time to get competitive quotes, pricing seemed fair and they managed to meet a very tight deadline. We are planning a Phase 2 design with Scott in the fall. We highly recommend this company.

I hope am thrilled with the hardscaping work that Lynchburg Landscapes, Inc. recently completed at my home! From the initial stages, Scott had a clear vision for the project. It was functional, within my budget, incorporated my preferences, and was a great complement to my house. He regularly stopped by at the end of each day to check on his team s work progress as well as answer my questions, educate me on hardscaping, and update me on what I should be expecting next. Amanda was an effective and friendly communicator who made sure I was up to date on my project s status, helped to quickly resolve a few minor hiccups that arose, and made sure I could easily make a payment. Finally, David and the entire work crew were meticulous, respectful, friendly, honest, hardworking, punctual, and genuinely invested in my project. They worked to minimize damage to my existing lawn and landscaping from their heavy machinery. The crew educated me about all things retaining walls, carefully listened to my requests and ideas, performed very high quality work, and cleaned up after themselves daily. I enjoyed several great conversations with the crew, during which the pride they take in their work was very apparent. Lynchburg Landscaping did a fantastic job on a backyard fire pit/retaining wall project. They installed a dry stacked, natural stone retaining wall, a natural stone fire pit, a crushed stone patio, some boulders for seating around the fire pit, and a number of plants and stones around the border of the space. From the very first consultation, I felt that they understood the vision I had for the space and made some fantastic suggestions for getting the look that I wanted. Once they got going, the project moved along rapidly and everything looks great. They had to drive through my neighbors lawn to bring in the heavy equipment and all the stone. After the project, they laid down some sod and grass seed in the areas of my neighbors property that were damaged. I am thrilled with how the space looks, and my neighbor was really happy with how they addressed his concerns both before and after the work. As for the price, the project was not cheap, but considering the quality and scope of the project I would say it was a great value. I got quotes from a couple of different places before settling on Lynchburg Landscaping. It came down to 2 companies that I was confident would do the work well. LLs quote was about 10% cheaper than the other company and their project plan involved a lot of extras like the boulders and plants that the other company was not including in their estimate.
