Martin Landscape Inc in Round Lake

Martin and his team did an AMAZING job on my house along with my Brother in laws house. Martin was quick to give us an estimate on what we needed and the price was very fair compared to others. He had built me a pad for our shed and had a great idea to wrap it with dirt so my wife can plant flowers around the shed. He also build us a pad I needed and also another pad for my brother in laws house. Everything is straight as an arrow and level. Couldn't be happier with his work and attention to detail!! Were actually using him again to rip out our existing concrete patio and to lay pavers down with awesome ideas he had. I highly recommend Martin and his team for any hardscape/Landscape!! After 4 years the poor job that was actually done became clear. The lava rocks I paid to have removed from my garden were not removed. No weed blanket was put down. The buried sump pump pipe was put on the side of my house instead of out front as I asked and has caused 3 sump pump failures due to the water draining right back into my sump. None of the pipe was cemented together which no doubt led to underground leaking. It's a shame I didn't catch this right away. Would not use them again. Fantastic job! Jr came out on Tuesday and quoted me on ripping out some gaudy bushes plus replacing them with something with much more curb appeal. The price was great and they were able to come out and complete the job the same week. I will definitely be having them out to do some more work in my backyard come spring. I highly recommend these guys for all your landscaping, and hardscaping, needs.

I have a small back yard, and a very big German Shepherd, who is just the latest in a long line of big dogs I've had over the years. Obviously, their activity had taken a toll on my lawn....or dirt that was once a lawn. I contacted two other landscapers, both of whom made appointments for an estimate, and both of whom no-showed. One didn't call until 11PM after I had made myself available all day. Not a great start. I contacted Martin Landscape online via their contact form, and got a call from Junior (yes, he's the son of the owner) the next day. He set up an appointment for the following day, arrived on time, and came ready with suggestions, but understood what I wanted to accomplish. I got an estimate later the same day, and he bought sod as soon as I sent the deposit. We had some delays due to t-storms, which was certainly understandable, but he brought out the crew early on a clear day, and they were done before lunch. Throughout, Junior was accessible, flexible, and professional, and Adi, their office manager, kept me in the loop about everything. As you can see from their website, my job was much smaller than many of the bigger projects that they take on, but they treated me as a valued customer, and I have no hesitation recommending them for those of you who might be hesitant with your smaller project.

We had them come to years ago to regrade our lawn and reseed. They added so little seed that it was impossible to cut that whole summer and the mower made more divets in our lawn that we had just paid to be removed. They did not get all the stumps and landscaping plastic out of the lawn. When I called them towards the end of the summer because the lawn was SO patchy and not growing in, they said that was normal and they could reseed for a couple hundred more. Two years later and we are still dealing with the patchy problems and having to add more seed. I would never have done this had I known we would never have our lawn back. It cost over $2000. Total waste of money.

Would highly recommend Martin Landscape for anyone looking for any landscaping work. Very professional, reliable & responsive during the whole process. We’ve used them twice now for work & beyond happy with the outcome!

Unbelievably amazing and top notch work. Very detail oriented and an extremely hard working bunch. They completely redid my mother’s front yard with fresh, new beautiful green sod and did an exquisite job designing the landscaping- plenty of varying bushes, plants, and a tree. I am excited to see how it will bloom and flourish! I guess I am just excited because her front yard looks so beautiful- definitely brightened up the look of her home and brought it to life. We had sod installed in the backyard as well as on the sides of our home after a newer build. They had great communication, were competitively priced and very professional. We are now having them do additional work in both the front and back of our house.
