Prior to hiring this company for a leaf pile clean up I wish we would've read the reviews. The pricing is far from honest and seemingly given in partial accuracy. We were originally given a quote for $75/hour for leaf cleanup ( I had already raked the piles). I figured it would be about an hour for them to vacuum up the 5 piles I had around my driveway. The Crew entered my property and left in under an hour (Cameras tend to keep things more honest) therefore I assumed my invoice would total $75 for one hour of labor (as previously quoted). However, when I received my invoice, I was charged 2.08 hours of labor for a total bill of $156. I called the company to get a better breakdown and after explaining to the receptionist that the crew was only here for one hour and that i had them coming onto the property and leaving the property on my cameras, the original quote for labor became much more elaborate. Instead of $75/hr it was now $75/hr per two workers on the property (they sent four). So in reality instead of paying $75/hr it was more like $156/hr. Had they been upfront about this pricing I would've been ok with the bill but it wasn't presented that way when we requested services from them. I would highly advise if you plan on doing business with this company that you request a breakdown of pricing and how they charge for labor. In my opinion this is an extremely unprofessional way of conducting business and we will not be going with this company for any future landscaping needs.

Maedgen's Lawn Care failed to uphold this basic professional standard, further eroding my trust in their services. Upon inquiring about the unreported changes in pricing, I received the following notification: ##BREAK## I hope this message finds you well. It is with sincere regret that I must inform you that we will no longer be able to provide lawn mowing services for your property, effective immediately. Recently we have completed a review of our workload and have come to realize that we are probably not the best match for your needs at this time. We will be unable to continue servicing your account. This decision has not been made lightly, and we understand the inconvenience it may cause. We deeply value the trust and confidence you have placed in Maedgen's Lawn Care, and we sincerely apologize for any disruption this may cause. It has been our pleasure to serve you and we genuinely appreciate your understanding in this matter. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. This abrupt termination of services, masked under a veneer of politeness, further exemplifies Maedgen's Lawn Care's lack of professionalism. The timing and manner of this notice suggest that it was a reaction to my inquiries about pricing rather than a genuine reassessment of their workload. I strongly advise potential clients to be cautious and seek more reliable and transparent lawn care providers. **Response to owner** While I appreciate the effort to address my concerns, I would like to clarify a few points and provide feedback that might help improve customer relations in the future. First, regarding the price increase notification, I did not receive the letter in March. When I noticed the price increase on my bill on 20 May, it took me one day to investigate the issue and gather all necessary information and bills before raising my concerns via email. Better communication channels or follow-up methods could help avoid such confusion in the future. Second, I was not aware of the terms and conditions link on your online portal. It would be beneficial to make such important information more prominent or provide a direct notification about significant changes like price increases. Lastly, I was unaware that my email or phone call interactions to your office made your landscaper employees uncomfortable as I have never talked to them directly on this issue. I always aim to maintain a professional and respectful relationship. Your decision to stop providing services due to this discomfort was not communicated to me until now, which left me puzzled about the sudden termination of services. On 18 May 2024, Eric Maedgen sent me the following text asking me to remove my Google review because it could effect his business: "I know we've put you through a lot of undue stress that you shouldn't of had to be put through. And I hope we settled things out satisfactory to you. Would it be possible for me to ask you remove the Google review? I'm not asking for a better review, but that review can really hurt us for years and years." I decided not to remove my review below because it would not be the right thing to do, people need to be made aware of the unprofessional services given by this business. After deciding not to remove my review, Eric Maedgen decided to post a response filled with nothing but false information! For starters, the company never refunded me twice...I have a bank statement to prove that no such transaction was made! Also Eric only decided to refund me when I confronted him face to face in his place of business after he ignored my phone calls. When he cut me a check, the check bounced and he cowardly blamed it on having issues with a hacked account... More lies, because if that was the case and you know that people are going to be cashing a check, I would think the responsible thing would be to reach out to those whom you know would be effected by such a claim. Please DO NOT do service with this company, his response was out right retaliatory... Just very unprofessional! \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ I'm taking you to small claims court for your returned check! I was giving you the benefit of the doubt to do the right thing; and now not only was the check returned, but my bank charged my account a fee for your fraudulent actions! You deserve zero stars! You fraudulently took money out of my account, even after I cancelled my service with you. When I called, you ignored my request to refund my account! Then when I confronted you face to face, you became very unhinged, you were very disgraceful, unprofessional, and rude person and I will be taking you to court!

If you aren’t calling on Curt to landscape and maintain your lawn, what are you even doing? You’re missing out on the best your lawn could look, that’s what! On top of high quality work, you’d be hard pressed to find someone more genuine and kind to work with

They do a great job maintaining my property in town. They are very professional and have great communication. Their website is very easy to navigate and allows you to pay and request services online. My family and I definitely recommend Maedgen’s for your lawn/landscaping needs.

Fantastic service! I sent them a message and within a day, they responded and got me scheduled for a tech to come repair my sprinkler. Great customer service, great work at the site and follow up. I will continue to be a customer with them!

Although the receptionist were very kind and repeatedly apologized and reentered my contact information, the person responsible for bidding the job named "Eric" never got back to me after over a month. My guess is the simple landscaping job I needed was too small and not one that required a contract. The last few calls I made I asked the receptionist to please let me know if the company was not interested as I really needed the work done and could contact another company. I never recieved an email, call back or text. I just wasted a lot of time waiting . Very unprofessional in my opinion.
