Terrible results. Would recommend this company to my enemies.... After spending about 2200 for a years program, my lawn looked horrible. That was after using them for a number of years prior with so so results. Even have bare spots because they decided to seed after the rainy season in September. Not at all concered with making my lawn better. When I complained all the response I get is crickets.

SavATree has taken care of our hollies for over 10 years. When the city of Washington DC asked us to trim back some trees from our alley, I asked SavATree for quote. When they came out to look, they said Oh - I can just take care of that now. No charge. Happy customer!

Today I was trying to exit my neighborhood on a road used for school traffic, and a truck from this company blocked the road. Cars piled up behind as the people from the company could not figure out how to operate the equipment that was blocking the road to move it out of the way. They were having a good laugh at us waiting to get through. After waiting and waiting, the cars backed up onto other streets finally started to back out. By the time I was able to back out and go around through a different route, I was late to work for a meeting. If you are going to block busy streets during the morning rush hour, you should have gotten a permit to block off the road or be sure your people know how to operate the equipment before blocking a road.

We have been the beneficiaries of SavATree services on multiple occasions. The first was an emergency response after a major windstorm that dropped two large Leyland Cyprus trees onto our house and deck. Our insurance company engaged them. They returned a few weeks later to remove the fallen trees and a third cyprus, at our request, that was leaning toward the house. They also topped two large arborvitae. They returned again to grind out the stumps of the three trees. This year, being thoroughly satisfied with their work, we engaged SavATree again, to remove six more Leyland Cyprus -- four dead, and two partly uprooted. They did the work last week. SavATree was not able to get a boom truck into the location of the trees so did the work with ladders and ropes. Their crews are skillful and well equipped, including with proper safety equipment, and they were meticulous in avoiding damage to nearby plants, vegetable garden fence, etc. They cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each job. In all of this work, our contact point at SavATree has been arborist Sara Jensen. She has provided good advice, given accurate estimates with very reasonable prices, has scheduled jobs to suit our convenience, has ensured that crews are aware of any constraints they need to observe, and has arrived during each job to check that the work is being properly done. She responds quickly to our communications, whether by telephone or email. Whenever we need tree work done, we use SavATree, and we always call Sara to make the arrangements. We highly recommend both SavATree and Sara. As further evidence of our satisfaction, we engaged SavATree again, a few days ago, to remove the stumps and debris from three more Leland Cyprus trees that fell in an ice and windstorm. As usual, the work was professionally done and the cleanup was thorough. Most recently SavATree applied sea kelp in one application and fertilizer in another to strengthen a silver maple that seems to be leafing sparsely. Work was excellent as usual. We hope for good outcome.

I am thrilled with SavATree which takes great care of my city garden. They have saved my euonymus bushes from blight, fertilized my flower beds, and pruned my trees. Their staff are experts who are professional, friendly, and communicative. Kudos!

If I could give them zero stars, I would. This company is an absolute joke and you re better off spending your time and money anywhere else. They have zero organization. Routes and services are constantly missed and having to be rescheduled. Their managers are rude and lack the knowledge is clear because they re unable to assist with the most basic of issues. It s a shock this company has been in service as long as it has.

They did a large tree removal and trimming of other trees on our tight schedule at a fair cost. The workers were thorough, checking to make sure everything we wanted was done.

The tree trimming was done by three professional and courteous men. They were very careful not to damage my or my neighbors property. My only concern was that they charged my debit card before the service was performed.

Have engaged SavATree for many years to manage the trees on our property including an Ash tree were trying to save. The arborist assigned to us, Jessica Cunha, is very knowledgeable and responsive.

SavATree was responsive to our request in evaluating a sick tree and making recommendations. When on site to cut the tree down, the crew and equipment was very well coordinated so as not to disturb the grass or neighboring building. They were extremely courteous and answered questions I had. I would welcome them back to work at our house again anytime.

UPDATE: On June 6, our arborist recommended two treatments for our ailing dogwood tree. He said the first would probably be sometime in July. I emailed him twice with questions in the following week and never heard back. On June 24 I called the office because our tree was looking very sick. The woman I spoke to said she would talk to the arborist and get back to me. Today is July 1, I havent heard anything from SavATree and Im pretty sure the tree is beyond help at this point. Would definitely NOT recommend. ********* Cory was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Im looking forward to getting our Dogwood tree healthy and thriving again with his help.

On the recommendation of a friend who has used SavATree for several years, we set up an appointment. Jesse Wyner came out and took a look at our property and, WOW, were we impressed. We have several large trees on our property that had not been pruned in a while. We were very happy with our recent experience with SavATree of Rockville. The arborist, Myrick Johnson, was very helpful in determining what our trees needed. The crew did an excellent job with pruning and cleanup. Everyone involved made sure that the pruning was done to our satisfaction. They have a good customer portal as well. We would definitely recommend them.

SavATree staff did a terrific job removing dead limbs from an oak tree and pruning many large shrubs around my house, including boxwood, holly, lilac, and pieris. I had neglected the shrubs for many years, and Im delighted at how wonderful and healthy they now look. The crew led by Hernan did excellent work. They were prompt, careful, and skillful. I also appreciated that Jesse, the arborist who evaluated and estimated the job, came by before the work started and checked in after it was done. In an act of kindness, Savatree staff noted a birds nest in one of the bushes, and made sure not to disturb it. After all the trimming, the crew cleaned up all the work areas beautifully. I moved to the area last year and was concerned about how some of the oak trees looked on our property. We knew that we needed the opinion of a licensed arborist. After performing internet searches and checking neighborhood social media sites, positive recommendations for SavATree and, specifically, the name Sara Jensen consistently popped up. After the initial walkthrough of the property with Sara, we were floored by the thorough knowledge and explanation she imparted to us, and we knew we were in the right hands. The company name says it all. We have been working with Sara for over a year now to ensure the long term health of our trees through special soil treatments to nourish the trees and provide protection against certain pests. The largest and likely oldest of the trees did urgently need to be taken down as it contained a dangerous amount of rot. We were touched by the compassion shown by Sara for our reluctance of its necessary demise. The team that took it down was so respectful of our property and beyond professional. The men from Savatree who worked in or three trees did a great job. They arrived on time, worked very hard for most of the day, and cleaned up everything after the completed the work.

We have a much loved tree in our front yard that had started to tilt due to several storms coming through our area. This is our picture tree for every life event and the thought of losing it was tough. On the advice of others I contacted Myrick at SavATree. He was quick to respond, gave us lots of options, and quickly had a team come out to work on the tree. We wont know for sure until end of summer or so, but it looks like our tree may be saved.

This company was recommended by several people in my online community. It s important to me to use a tree company with arborists on staff. Casey Bartoe, the arborist assigned to evaluate our large linden tree, responded promptly to my concerns about the crew following her pruning recommendations. She came to the house on the day of service, talked to the crew, and checked to see that I was satisfied with the work before they left. She was quick to follow up on email during and after the service.

I scheduled an appointment for an arborist to look at my trees. Was given the name of the person who was coming and the confirmed date and time. The arborist did not show-up. When I called 45 minutes after their scheduled arrival time they said I didn t have an appointment on their calendar. I had the name of the arborist who was meant to come and they had my name and address in their system. There was no uncertainty in my schedule and I was told the appointment was set for August 23rd. A quick check of my iPhone showed that I did not receive a call from them on August 22nd.

We have worked with SavATree for 5 years. Initially to sustain several potentially compromised trees. For the past 3 years, we have utilized their lawn-care services. Most recently they did tree-trim work. We have been pleased with the quality of their services and readily refer them to our neighbors. We have worked with 3 arborists during that time. Each has been extremely knowledgeable and responsive. When we have questions or potential issues, they come to our home and make direct assessments. Our current arborist, Casey Barton has been very helpful and appears to be very knowledgeable. She even helped the tree trimming team on the job!

This was the second time Sav-A-Tree has come to our home to trim our trees. Sara Jensen started her crew off by reviewing her notes about which branches to remove, and then her crew worked for several hours on our trees. The two giant oaks in my front and back yards were expertly trimmed to safely remove dead wood and a large branch hanging over my house. I could not find any damage to the underlying shrubs. The areas were properly raked to remove debris and paths blown clear. I am very happy with the work. The crew was so polite and a pleasure to interact with about what logs to save for firewood (they stacked them in our wood rack to dry) and which ones to get chipped up because they were rotted and wouldnt burn well.

This is my second year with SavATree. The work done last year with the cutting down a severely overgrown evergreen was done extremely well. This year it was the pruning of a large oak and three crepe myrtles that needed a lot of corrective work. Casey Bartoe was the arborist who came to evaluate at my trees. Ive used these folks for around 4 years (probably longer). Ive had them trim our several maple trees in order to provide filtered sunlight to the lawns to allow the grass to grow with great results. They also recommended that I cable together the trunks on a high bifurcated pine tree in the back yard to prevent it from splitting and taking out the house (I feel much safer with the brisk winds weve had in the last year. theyve also trimmed and fertilized on old dogwood that is doing surprisingly well and blooms every year, even though it was pretty raggedly looking initially. Very happy with their work in preserving and trimming the large trees in our yard. Casey Bartoe is our Arborst and was friendly and helpful in her assessment and recommendations.

Sav A Tree arborist Myrick Johnson, and the crew who performed the work did a great job on all the trees I had them work on, and for a reasonable price. This was the third time we ve had Sav A Tree do work on our trees and they always appeared knowledgeable about just how far to prune back, and were efficient in the way that they approached the work. I d highly recommend Myrick and the entire crew at Sav A Tree for any tree work that needs to be done.

We had a great experience with Savatree. When contacted the arborist Casey B. Very quickly scheduled an estimate, gave advice, and explained options. She was willing to be flexible in parsing and scheduling the work. She and her team (led by the very wise and kind Hernan) did a great job completing the work - the trees look great and the yard was completely clean!

No need to look any further. The first thing to do is call certified arborist, Domenic Bello. Hell assess your tree and recommend the right course of action. In our case, it was to provide long-overdue TLC for our backyard silver maple. Next, get crew leader, Hernan, and his team to do a careful pruning job based on Doms assessment. And voila, youve got your cherished tree on its way back to a beautiful life! We couldnt be happier.

Mark Selivan provided services for our trees. His crew just completed the work and it looks fabulous. Two days of work and zero headaches! His quote was the most expensive , but we have gone with a less expensive company before and we were not able to achieve the same quality result. His crew was efficient, courteous and thoughtful, they offered to do an additional small pruning to help with one tree that was not on the list. They left the place clean and took away additional wood that we needed to dispose of.

Recently, SavATree provided tree pruning services for two large trees and a row of mature Arborvitae on my property. I had needlessly delayed arranging for this necessary tree maintenance for years because I was wary of the hassle and aggravation that I was sure would ensue. My fears were not well-founded and I was placed at ease as soon as Mark Selivan, the SavATree Licensed Arborist who covers the Bethesda area, arrived at my home. Mark s relaxed and knowledgeable demeanor was immediately evident, and I knew that my trees were in good hands. After I received the detailed description of the work to be performed and a reasonable cost quotation, I signed up for their services. When the work crew reached my house on the scheduled date and time, Mark was on site to start them off personally with specific directions to complement their work order. The crew arrived with two new-looking trucks: one bucket truck, and a chip collection truck trailing a powerful wood chipper. The bucket truck provided a platform for the worker tending to the tree in my front yard, however, the tree in my backyard required a climber to ascend into the tree to perform his work. The work crew performed very diligently and expertly, showing that they took pride in their work and were an experienced team. The care with which they deployed and later carefully stowed their climbing tackle indicated that they were true professionals. The end result was a well-executed tree pruning process, with my property cleared of all debris from branch trimming and wood chipping. I m looking forward to my trees growing quickly, so I can have the SavATree team visit my home again.

SavATree recently removed a number of dead trees that were dangerous to our house and to the road that we live on. We had an arrangement to stage their equipment on our neighbors driveway, but there were time constraints agreed upon. They arrived on time, and left on time, each day. They took two days to do the job, as promised. They thoroughly cleaned up our yard and hauled away all of the wood. Moreover, the final invoice was almost $3000 less than the original estimate. We are very satisfied with the results and the process.

Sara Jensen is an honest, excellent communicator - responsive and responsible. The crew pruned carefully and thoroughly a huge old maple in a tight space bordering three neighbors. I enthusiastically recommend SavaTree Rockville, and I will call on Sara again.

Estimator on time and not in a rush; professional and personable. Estimate high but reasonable. Crew on time to do the work. My street does not have curbs, but SavATree crew was totally respectful of my lawn when parking. Crew may have been totally ESL, but reflected impressive competence with English (my only language). Excellent work ethic and totally responsive to customer requests and observations. Impressed me that they did not use the chipper until the end of the job. Total job involved 4 men in 2 trucks for a total of approx. 6 hrs. They did the job like they had been customers before becoming providers.

You never know how good something is until you try it yourself. I came under financial stress a couple of years ago. I decided to cancel my lawn services. It went well until the heat of the summer hit. My inexperience hampered my abilities to maintain a beautiful lawn. The front lawn survived my wrath quite well, but the back, not so much. It needs so much help. Too much shade, and too much standing water due to being the house at the lowest elevation in the neighborhood. Well things are better again financially, and I have restarted a lawn care program. These people are professionals, and know what theyre doing. I look forward to breathing a big sigh of relief. Edit: Just got an email stating the company was unable to perform the final treatment for my lawn. Ill give two stars since they admitted their mistake. But this is unacceptable. Will most likely be changing to a different company.

SavAtree Tree Service is located in Rockville MD. Ryan and Rob, arborists, evaluated our Japanese Maple. They were professional and provided us with real recommendations to help our tree. Highly recommend this company. Pricing was fair and reasonable.

The crew was very professional and wanted to make sure we were satisfied with their work. They were friendly and extremely well trained. We were very impressed with their equipment and the way they put up street cones and signs in our neighborhood. I will definitely use them again. Very pleased.

Apparently, you can have an arborist come out for an estimate and not hear back within 2 months of your appointment. If it happened to me, it can happen to you too. Youve been warned.

Very overpriced and ineffective. A large piece of our tree collapsed two weeks after their visit... no storm or anything. Which is the reason we hired them, to cut back any unhealthy branches. We had to hire someone else in the end who was much cheaper.. to do the job we wanted. Go with another provider. There are better ones in the area.

Mark Selivan came to give a free consultation on tree health and gave some advices and price quotes. I was still pondering about the options and wanted to know more, but he seemed in a hurry - car parked on the street with the engine still on, not actively describing the options and how the trees will be pruned and what the results will look like. He basically responded to my questions, not taking the initiative to give more details. When I asked him to look at other trees in the back yard, to my utter surprise, he said he wouldnt go because I will not use his service. What? I have other trees to ask for his help and he just refused to even take a look? My house is less than 1/4 acre; it only takes him 5 seconds to walk to the back and he refused to do it. He said it sounds like I think the quote is too high and I will get quotes from other companies. What an arrogant guy with deep prejudice! He simply judged people by appearance and the way they said things. He did not know I did a thorough research to convince myself that his company is the best Id want to spend money to save my trees. He did not know this is the only company on my list. He just thought my pause, my pondering of the treatment plan was a sign of resistance to the high quotes, not knowing that he gave scattered information that lacked details. He assumed I will not (or cannot afford, due to my very down-to-earth outfit or my accent) spend the money. I said, what kind of customer service you are brining in today? You just second guessed peoples good intention. He seemed happy when I asked him to leave since his cars engine was still on anyway. Mr. Selivan, I always think only those who love trees will become arborists, but today you prove me wrong. By the way, I thought the quotes of $175 for feeding two giant old trees and $1600 for cutting one and pruning the other are quite reasonable. But you lost this opportunity for your company today.

The arborist, Domenic Bello was terrific to work with and provided sound advice as we negotiated adding solar energy and protecting trees. He helped us figure out the appropriate timing to prune our trees to protecct their health while exposing our solar panels to the sun. The whole team was terrific, knowledge, professional and great to work with. I trust them with our trees and count on their expert advice.

We got three estimates, and SavATree was several hundred dollars higher than the other two, BUT, it turned out that the other companies hid their hauling fees, which in one case was more than the removal and grinding. In the end, SavATree s pricing was right on par. I appreciate the honesty greatly! How many times has a contractor nickel and dimed you? I work with my hands for a living, and I was perfectly capable of doing the work myself, but I wasn t willing to sacrifice the time. I can honestly say, that they did a better job than I would have, which is why I will be hiring them again, knowing that they ll take care of me, and I won t be left feeling ripped off and angry. Mark Selivan and his team have been such a great help to us. They have revitalized our two big, old trees that were hurting (oak & maple), through ArborKelp applications and selective expert trimming. They have also helped SIGNIFICANTLY with our tick population, through organic tick spray and Damminix tubes: three summers ago, I would find ticks on the kids several times a week, and by this summer I have found none. What a relief! He has also attached Bat Houses and Bird Houses for me. He is a tree & wildlife lover, so friendly & knowledgeable. His assistant Jessica is also great, always available to answer questions, schedule appointments, etc.

We had 3 trees and 4 shrubs removed, they did exactly what they said they would do and left the yard in immaculate condition. We also signed up for their lawn service. I cannot say enough good things about SavATree. The arborist was personable, extremely knowledgeable and professional. She assured me that SavATree would do everything to save my tree. They were right on time for our appointment and the tree looks great. They cleaned up every twig and leaf on my lawn and my neighbors. The tree looks like it had a light hair cut - thats all. You would never know it had been trimmed. Two of my neighbors have engaged them to do their trees after looking at mine. If I ever need another tree taken care of I will definitely call them.
