A huge oak limb came down in the recent storm, landing in my shared driveway on top of power and cable lines. Once I got reconnected, I started looking for help to remove a massive amount of tree debris. Moyers was able to send a two-man team right away. They cut up limbs/branches and densely packed their truck. Then they raked up the all the remaining twigs and leaves. It was a thorough job done swiftly and efficiently.

I needed invasive weeds removed from mondo grass. It had to be done by hand. Excellent job and they also did my spring pruning and shaping of evergreens. Garden looks fabulous now.

I had Moyers come out to do weeding, mulching and edging in several beds in the yard that needed quite a bit of work. They did a great job and the beds look awesome now. They left everything nice and clean, too. I will definitely use their services again in the future. Update: I had them come out again this year for cleaning and weeding of beds, and it looks great.

Moyers has been servicing my lawn for about 5 years now. I ve seen a progressive improvement in the quality and resilience of the grass in my yard. My service includes annual aeration & seeding (overtime it helps crowd out weeds and undesirable grass), fertilizers throughout the year.A soil analysis is done to create a treatment plan. In all, I m happy with the quality of what I pay for. I have the added benefit of having the same technician for my entire time, Leroy. He gives me tips on what can do to help my lawn along. In all, I m happy to continue with Moyers. A limiting factor is the cumbersome laws governing what products can be used. As a result, weeds do exist season after season. Our neighbors lawn always looks so good, so we decided to start using Moyers. Theyve been so friendly and responsive, and did an amazing job with our spring cleanup. Cant wait to see how things look after a year of maintenance.

I have used Moyers for snow and leaf removal, lawn care, and special planting. They have always been punctual, quick, and provided good quality materials. This spring I had them plant 2 dogwoods to accompany one they had planted 2 years ago. They came on time with a crew of 5 men and the materials. The crew dug and prepared BIG holes, carefully placed the trees, took care not to affect existing plants, watered, and cleaned up within 2 hours. I am very pleased!

We had a great experience from start to finish! The yard looks great and they were careful to avoid the bulbs that were coming up.

Moyer showed up like clockwork every 5-7 days to cut my grass. My grass never looked like it needed to be cut. Even when there were days of continuous rain, they would should up after the rain had stopped. I also used their leaf service during the fall. I will used them again.

Moyers did a wonderful job with our lawn -- theyre timely, efficient, and responsible, and offer a wide variety of landscaping options. Definitely recommend them for regular lawn care!

They did decent work but they are very pricey. Charged me over $600 a month for twice a month lawn maintenance for a front and back yard less than 100 sq. feet.

Their crew was using gas powered leaf blowers in DC even though it is illegal. I am leaving 1stars, though I I have not used the service. This review will stay up until I see that crew no longer using them at the address they were spotted.

I contacted the business via their online form, and had the response and quote (I am a returning customer) the first thing in the morning. After returning the form and the initial payment electronically the initial mowing, edging and blowing was performed the same afternoon. The front and back lawns look great.

They require a contract, with a minimum of 12 cuts.

I had Moyers help with some standing water/drainage issues in my yard. They were great to work with, I was scheduled quickly and the work was done very well. We had a (genuine) miscommunication on the estimate, but they always communicated professionally about it and the owner personally sought to ensure everything was settled fairly. It was a positive experience and I just feel really great about the work, and the outcome of what could have been a contentious situation.

Moyers have been providing services for over 20 years and the services is wonderful. Dale has come by a few times to explain and educate me on issues pertaining to my lawn and their service has always been superb. I even had a fire at my home and they put my services on hold for the 2 years and quickly resume once I was back in my home. The guys that cut the lawn are very courteous and professional. There have been a few occasions where I had to call Peggy and ask for someone to return to correct a problem and someone was back at my home right away to do just that. Moyers Lawn Service and Landscaping is the best! Take it from me because my backyard was a disaster. I had neglected it because of the summer heat and humidity and I had overgrowth and weeds galore, and really overgrown weeds in a large area surrounding and behind my large shed. The Moyers rep came, gave me a very fair estimate, and performed the work just a few days later. And the work accomplished well, all I can say is I barely recognized my VERY LARGE and long neglected backyard. So very pleased with the results and their very hard work. They are perfectionists! I plan on bringing them back routinely. They re that good! Don t hesitate to hire their services. You won t be disappointed!

Lost my trust and my business I have been a customer of Moyers for about 2 years and their Platinum lawn service program has had some success in restoring our previously neglected lawn (good, not great success). So, they had my trust when I requested help in moving leaves from my front and back yard to the street. I was told up front that there would be a $70 charge for showing up and a $70 / hour / person rate to do the work. I understand MoCo is not cheap for service like this. But I was shocked to get the bill for 26.5 person-hours of labor to remove the leaves ($1,855). My subsequent call with Dale Moyers did little to clarify my confusion, it just made things worse. He acknowledged that his crew of 6, from a professional lawn service company presumably equipped with modern leaf moving tools, took 4.5 hours do the job. It should also be noted that a Moyers lawn service employee had already moved at least half of the leaves in the front yard to the curb a few days before the leaf crew arrived, so that he could administer hist last lawn treatment for the year. The 26.5 person hours and $1855 was shocking because our family crew of 3 has done the same job many times with manual tools in about 5 hours (i.e., ~15 person-hours). At minimum, twice the number of people should do the job in at least half the time. Presumably a modern lawn crew using heavy duty blowers rather than rakes alone would complete the work even faster. Two well equipped professionals working in the front yard and four in the back should be able to do the job in an hour, two at the maximum (6 people x 2 hours = 12 person-hours). So, this just leaves me with questions. Why did it take 4.5 hours; did the crew have adequate equipment; was the crew organized efficiently? Impossible for me to know, I was not home when the work was done. I put good faith trust in people. The only answers to these questions that come to mind are--at best Moyers is a poorly run business or at worst Moyers uses egregious business practices. Moyers lost my trust and my business. I paid the crazy bill but will never do business with them again. Buyer beware!!!

These guys are amateurs. My neighbor hired them to do a spring cleanup on her yard. They seemed to do an ok job, but they werent professional about it. First, they showed up at 7am on a Saturday and start unloading their truck. Montgomery County law prohibits loading and unloading material in residential areas before 9am on weekends and holidays. These guys are a Rockville-based business and dont even know the laws that have been on the books for over 30 years. Secondly, theyre using loud gas-powered blowers and edgers. If they were paying attention to their industry, theyd know that equipment is being phased out for electric, not just for the environment, but because its more profitable since the operating costs and maintenance are so much lower. These guys just dont seem to have a clue whats going on.

I asked them to trim my hedges into the shape of michael vick betting on a dogfight. However, they refused to fulfill this request even though i told them how michael vick is my favorite NFL quarterback AND my role model (next to OJ simpson). Very unprofessiol, dont they know the customer (me) always knows best (smart).

My lawn turned into pure weeds. There was no grass anymore after they cut my lawn for a few weeks. They continually broke their promises and kept holding me to the contracted terms even though their service was horrible.

Our neighbor altered drainage in the backyard and caused water to enter our basement. Dale was spot on in his diagnosis and made expert recommendations on what needed to be done. He is extremely knowledgeable, professional, prompt, candid and empathetic. Since the work had to be done by the neighbor we couldn t use his service this time, but he will have all of our future landscaping projects from this point on. Can t thank him enough! Update: After working things out with the neighbor we decided to install a French drain next to our exterior wall as our protection against water intrusion. Dale was the first one we called. He scheduled the work promptly, thoroughly discussed the work details with his project manager and even showed up on the day of the work to ensure everything was done right. His crew did a great job with the drain installation, also gave the property a nice yard cleanup. Price was really reasonable too. We couldn t be more satisfied and grateful. Absolutely the best!

I have been using Moyers Lawn Service and Landscaping for the last several spring and fall yard maintainence. Their prices are competitive. It is their customer care that wins my contract every time. The Moyers are very responsive, they are readily available to provide a quote and can quickly set up the service. The crew from Moyers always do an excellent job, and leave the job site clean and orderly. They always ask if the work is satisfactory before they leave the job site.

The lawn service has always been done in a professional manner. Signed up for snow removal and it was a back saver. Then, I contracted for shrub trimming, yard maintenance and mulching. They were at my home today and did a spectacular job. I have the best maintained yard in the neighborhood.

Everything about this project was first class, from the estimate to the actual work. The team showed up on time, did the work and cleaned up. They were hired to do two garden beds, including removing bushes, transplanting them to the backyard, placing new shrubs and replacing stone. They did the work efficiently and even spruced up the mailbox garden with fresh stone. Great job!

I was really impressed with the two guys (Elias and Samuel) who came to do the aeration and seeding a few days ago. It was hard work, but they were very thorough, aerating and seeding what seemed to be every square inch of both front and back yards. At the same time, they were very careful around our gardens and our cars. The younger fellow did the seeding while the other fellow completed the aeration, and I was particularly impressed by his thoroughness and skill at sowing the seed by hand along the edges and in areas where the broadcast spreader could not reach well.

I have been using them for many years. They trimmed several bushes, weeded, edged and mulched the yard. All to my specs. They are very friendly and did a wonderful job. I have always been very satisfied with their work.

We switched to Moyers some months ago and theyve done a first rate job on our yard. We use them for lawn maintenance and more recently for leaf collection. They show up on time and do an excellent job for a reasonable price. The men who come a professional and responsive. Couldnt be more pleased.

We contracted Moyers to get an assessment of the grade and drainage around the foundation and a few other minor things (shrubs, weeds, lawn). The estimator arrived on time and we did a walk around the house. He was super helpful and told me that the foundation looks fine and there is only a small area that could need some minor grading work but not really necessary if there isn t any water leaking issues and it s not worth hiring a landscaping company to do the work. So we decided not do anything with it. He also checked the weed tree next to the foundation where the HVAC condenser is located. It is again reassuring to hear that the tree does not pose any risk to the foundation and it is actually called butterfly bush and just needs to be trimmed down to the ground instead of being removed entirely. And he was so nice to offer to cut the branches for us without charging anything. For our questions regarding the downspouts, he explained that we do not need to unblock the pipe that goes underground but simply cut it to the ground and buy a downspout extender and install it ourselves simply and easy! Overall, the guy was SO helpful. We really appreciated the help and would highly recommend the company to anyone who needs landscaping services.

Beware. Moyers has terrible customer service and terrible lawn service. Moyers automatically cuts grass too often, (approximately every 5 days) even when the grass is too short to mow. No common sense assessment. They only care about racking up charges. This spring, our lawn needed professional treatments, however, instead of suggesting such treatments, their mower kept mowing over a distressed, brown lawn the whole month of APRIL before the grass had barely started growing for the season. And, believe or not, we were charged for the unnecessary mows to the tune of $45 for each time they came to mow during the middle of the day when we were away from the home at work! What a sham! When I called Moyers to complain, their customer service rep/manager slammed the phone on me instead of attempting to resolve the situation. Fired them! Now, we have a beautiful lawn now with a different landscaper and we re paying less!! Be careful with this company.

My first encounter with this company occurred while we were traveling to a destination today, 04 September 2019. We were in the right lane of a double left turning lane and the Moyers truck was in the left lane. Both of us were waiting for a green light. As we began to turn the truck started to cross into our lane.. We sounded the horn to warn the driver in order to avoid a collision. What was the response? A worker in the right passenger seat extended his arm and flipped us off. This behavior does not speak well of this companys professionalism. What do you think?

Susie was horrible. Disrespectful and didn t even let me voice my concerns. I took a full day off unpaid to wait for their person to come give me a quote. This person never showed up. Not the first time this happens. Susie was not even apologetic, she said maybe this is not the company I need! Interesting how she turns away customers. She should not be in customer service

I first hired them to help me do the mowing but eventually, I tried out their gardening services as well and my garden has looked at its best since. I am so happy.

I have used the service to cleanup a yard that was overgrown: ivy everywhere, large bushes, weeds, trees growing into the yard and so on. I called them up and clearly described the items I would like to get done. Then a day or so later I sent pictures of additional items I would like to get done. The crew they sent did a phenomenal job, I was blown away: I care for the place and had high expectations. Moyers exceeded those and then some! The house all-around is just beautiful now! Ive had my ups and downs with Moyers over the years, but this was clearly well executed and I plan to use them again and again! Give it a shot, ask for Marco or Jesse.
