Even though I had a rough idea of what I wanted, Justin developed an exquisite design plan that exceeded my expectations. Allentuck landscaped our home and because of the great job they did, the Green Team at FairhavenUMC has worked with Mark to plant trees on the property. He was very punctual, answered our questions, made great suggestions, and estimates for the work very reasonable. Tha follow-up was great and the planting team did an excellent job on site. Adam is a gentleman and a scholar, in addition to being very artistic, personable, articulate, a great listener, and a professional in the highest sense of the word. I am an artist and designer, and I really thought that there was no one who could translate, guide, and turn my abstract vision into a concrete reality. Adam did it, and with ultimate patience, persistence, and absolute honesty. Neighbors stop and comment on my unique porch, and I make it my go to office, weather permitting. After installing an EV charger last year we needed to reseed and repair our front lawn, we were also looking for help with sprucing up our front garden bed. Justin Menzies in their sales team was super communicative, helpful, and on the ball during the entire process. His garden design was thoughtful and we appreciated the use of native plants. Any questions or concerns we had during the project were immediately addressed and we are excited to see how the bed looks later this spring. The team who did the planting was friendly and on time, and Justin came out to ensure that everything was going well and that we were satisfied with the results. Amazing service definitely gets the job done

This review is about lawn maintenance only. We used them for our pool decking and that work was fine. Our lawn was simply neglected by Allentuck. Weeds overran it and only after we raised the issues did someone provide some very limited attention. Quite frankly it was too late. We also know that only half the yard was provided grub control as one side of our yard is full of dead patches of grass. Another landscaper told us it s grubs that weren t treated appropriately. We were told to wait it out to see the benefits of Allentuck s work, but I know that after paying thousands our lawn is worse 12 months after they started their services. This company should stay out of the business of lawn maintenance except for lawn mowing. We are spending so much money to recover and after just 2 weeks with another company the lawn looks better except for the grubs that Allentuck didn t treat in the spring when they said they did. I wouldn t recommend their service to anyone. Any response or blame on us in response to this message further underscores their lack of accountability.

Allentuck company did a project for my neighbor. In the process, they damaged my driveway, lawn, and a tree. The owner promised that they will fix it when spring comes. This was almost two years ago and never fixed it. I thought about hiring the company for my project, but the company doesnt seem to keep the promise.

They have done an excellent job of maintaining out property.

We used Allentuck landscaping to be the general contractor of a major backyard and front yard renovation. We installed a pool, hardscape, pavilion, deck, landscaping, fence, and outdoor lighting. bruce and his team very very responsive to our queries, and they did an awesome job with our backyard. It looks super pretty. This was a pretty big job as they have to carve out a hill to make two large patio levels.

I recently installed a new driveway and needed some ideas to landscape my entire front yard. Bruce and his team came out quickly to meet, and provided landscape design drawings with options for plants, trees and rocks. Allentuck completely transformed the yard. They also buried our downspouts in the backyard to clear up some drainage issues which worked out perfect. And, they provide an annual landscape maintenance package which saves me a ton of time and keeps my yard in order. Great customer service as well. Glad I found them!

We had a terrific experience working with Allentuck Landscaping. From Andys visit to assess our yards grading needs, to Bruces willingness to go over the job with us (and be extra sure we wouldnt cut a cable at this crazy time), to the crews fabulous job from start to finish, we could not be more pleased with the work. Our walkway looks amazing and we are thrilled with the new drainage pattern that should keep our lawn and basement protected no matter how much rain we get. We called them on the recommendation of several friends, and I would do the same in a heart beat!

We redid our backyard to ensure there wasnt water coming into our basement. Allentuck did a great job making sure that the water was draining away from the house. In addition, we installed astro turf (fake grass) on our lawn as the backyard gets hardly any sun. The kids love playing on the fake grass and running around in the backyard. We have never spent this much time in our backyard until now.

We ve done several projects with Allentuck in addition to using them for regular seasonal yard clean up. Our latest project was a patio renovation that involved demolition of an existing brick patio and the design and installation of a new paved patio with built-in grilling station and a lighted fire pit area. Thanks to the pandemic, it was difficult to get some of the materials. So the initial timeline for completion was extended by well over a month. But the patio is beautiful! The Allentuck team members are professional, hard working and respectful. I know whenever they show up for a project that our yard and home will look great afterward.

I live in Chevy Chase (DC) and needed a lot of lawn and garden care work done for our front and back yards. There are so many lawn services in DC--you see the trucks and the names all the time--that it can make your head swim. After taking a look at Allentuck Landscaping and reading reviews and their website,I decided to ask them to come over and make a proposal on the project. Am I ever glad I did. First, Its a family company with local pride and investment in the community. Second, the project foremen have been with Allentuck for at least 16 years. In such a transient business that says a lot about the owner and the company. I phoned in, and BAM!, Bruce Allentuck was over in three days to scope the property. He has more degrees in landscaping and plant/garden management than a thermometer. Bruce called me when he was 30 minutes out from the appointment and right on time--mask on and following CDC procedures for safety. A quick stroll of the yard, some pictures as well as some questions to me about exactly what needed to be done and just a day or two later there was a proposal in my in-box. More than reasonable. A crew was scheduled and when they rolled in they were amazing--courteous, hardworking, safe, they were awesome, and Bruce appeared on-site to make sure everything was going smoothly--After a day, weeds gone! They returned the following day, right on time, to do a substantial amount of planting in the front yard. Im going to have Allentuck repair my patio and have also asked them for a proposal on year-round care of the yards and garden. I am sure there are other companies out there earning a good reputation--and some not-so-good. But I was fortunate to have selected Allentuck--They are the complete package: Expertise, great customer service, fair and reasonable pricing, and great people to have working around your home (in a safe manner). I was a potential customer asking for a bid on snow removal and treatment of our property and was told by Bruce which I guess is the owner of the company he pretty much said hes not interested in bidding the job and they are not the cheapest assuming we cant afford you or I wouldnt like your prices? This could also have won you the opportunity to land a seasonal contract with us if we enjoyed your services. We have properties all over the DMV so being business minded that may have just cost you thousands of dollars in earnings all because you turned away a possible customer. Maybe you are just fully booked and cant take on anymore projects but you were not pleasant to speak with, just seemed bothered by my request.

Insanely excellent service. On a Sunday afternoon, I noticed that a tree in my front yard had fallen over. I emailed my Allentuck rep and asked that she have it staked for support the next time her crew was at my house. The very next morning, I heard a blower outside and ran outside to ask the guys to stake the tree, but it was already staked! Either they had already been asked by my rep to do so on Monday morning based on an email sent Sunday, amazing, or they did it on their own, likewise amazing. Thanks Allentuck!!!!

The management will come personally to discuss what you wish to accomplish and give excellent advice. This company is not honorable in their business handling. Their employees broke the glass in my storm door and they are not going to take responsibility for this. I was honest about the time lapse because I did not know how my door was damaged. Because of this I am being punished and having to fight to have this claim paid.
