Since switching from naturescape to Tru green I have seen a significant change to my grass. Naturescape couldn t kill the weeds or make my grass green. It was always a greenish yellow. Not anymore thanks Trugreen.

We canceled our service after numerous times we would receive a text that they would be there to do our lawn. They wouldn t show and never let us know when they would becoming back. But the nail in the coffin is that they said they did do our lawn and charged us they would pull up and send us a message our lawn is complete. Little did they know we work from home and the camera also caught the truck was here and left with out any service completed. Not to mention deducting from our account. We went with spring green

Call center is completely disconnected from actual service providers. Was charged for a service that was not completed and struggled to get them to cancel future services. They insisted we reschedule, albeit for free, but I had to call again to cancel the rescheduled date because I did not like their business model.

This is my second year with TruGreen. Year 1 the lawn looked great. This year, like others have mentioned, the grass is brown, weeds are everywhere. Its possibly the worst my lawn has EVER looked. Something has definitely changed. My routine with watering has been the same. Its been a complete waste of money this year. Will not continue next year. I will fertilize myself.

Not the greatest service. Still had weeds that I had to treat myself this year and my dog had a couple fleas and 1 tick this season. Mosquitos were bad, so my wife couldnt sit much out on our porch or back yard. Had to wait to phone calls that never happened and still had to call back to try to speak to a manager. Really need to check your liquids. Probably deluded more. Will not be using they service next season.

I cant rate their actual service because they would never return my calls to schedule the service that they set up for me and even canceled the service that was set up without my knowledge. The worst customer service ever...at least in my area! I will never recommend Tru-Green. I ended up doing what I needed done myself.

I ve had nothing but issues with TruGreen, from constantly rescheduling to only doing half of my lawn to avoid doing all of the work necessary. They make nothing but empty promises when they sell you the program and I can assure you everything they tell you when you sign up is a lie. My lawn is still full of weeds and it is impossible to reach anybody stateside when you call to speak to a representative. Please find somebody local rather than this company.

Extremely rude driver, refused to spray a requested area. Definitely did not like his job! The office was useless in transferring requests to their driver. They missed scheduled applications in the past and just never showed.

trugreen is shady all the way around. i will never use this company again. i signed a contract to be charged 60$ every month or every other month for the whole summer. they decided today to pull out 125$. they had all the excuses in the world, but a contract is a contract so she had to refund me. she was supposed to refund my bank, but instead credited my account after i told her a dozen times i was canceling the account because i dont do business with shady companies. she basically told me it was too late its on the account. i asked to speak to her supervisor which amazingly WOW she was able to credit back to my card?!!! i tell her im going to repeat everything that should had been done and record it since they seem to be very deceptive,...only to find out she still hadnt canceled my account when i asked her at least a dozen times too......i will never ever ever ever work with this company again. you cant just pick and choose what your going to do to someones lawn, and then go against the contract and take peoples funds not authorized. nice try.

Not customer friendly, we paid in full up front for a whole years service only to have trugreen reschedule time after time after time. When we did contact them by phone we were told a manager would get back to us the same day, never got a call back.

For two summers this company has not met their scheduled dates of service I have on numerous occasions asked to speak with someone and no one from the local branch calls back How can you provide service to our next door neighbor and just drive on by my house on the scheduled date of service? Communication with customer service is difficult. Since there is no way to communicate with a local manager I have wasted countless hours on the phone, and waiting for a technician to come to my house only to find out they have sent the wrong technician for the problem. Twice I have asked for someone to come and take care of the weeds and now massive area of ivy growing in my yard and both times they sent someone to lay fertilizer. If I could actually speak to a local Tru Green provider who is knowledgeable, it would save us all a whole lot of time and money and trouble. I will be looking for a local lawn service provider who can give that kind of personal service for next season. On a positive note- Tremonee, the technician who came to my house twice, was very pleasant and seemed knowledgable about fertilization applications. He gave a number to call someone named Kelly, but that number just went right to your customer service.

No idea why they showed up at our house, for one. And upon their arrival, were greeted by my friend and OUR DOGS, so knowing we have dogs they decided closing the gate may not be all that necessary. Hear this is a common problem with them. Again, if you have dogs, BEWARE OF YOUR GATES THEY WILL LIKELY LEAVE IT OPEN.

We have tried other lawncare services but none compare to Tru Green lawncare, our lawn looks great!

We told them when we set up apt that we have 2 big dogs and to KEEP GATE LOCKED WHEN DONE SO DIGS DONT GET OUT. But they left gate open and my dogs got out. We live neat a Railroad track and highway so we were very concerned!! Our dogs are a part of our family and paid $$$ for them. Its not hard to RELOCK a gate you had to unlock. I called to talk with manager and was refused. They also said no one put dog instructions in our acct!! So 2 people were incompetent at their jobs. They dont care about customer service. I was actually refused to talk to a manager!! And the guy was rude, talking over me, not listening and didnt care my dogs were in danger. IF YOU HAVE DOGS, BEWARE!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 2ND REVIEW AFTER THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO RETURN 8/30/22 You told me to email you. Well another problem. Your guy was supposed to be here today but changed the time several times on same day (today). We canceled. Seems like nothing has changed. We had you years ago at our other house and you changed day and time so many times we canceled but figured after many years you would be different. NOT! Same unprofessional, incompetence as always. In looking at the reviews im not the only one who thinks so. I dont know how you are still in business because its obvious you dont take your business serious. We told girl at the office not to call or send us junk mail again!

I signed up for the weed/grub control and fertilizer treatment over the summer. This is the first time I have ever used them and my experience has been horrendous. Almost every single appointment something has gone wrong. I have one or two times where they showed up late or I had to call to get them to perform the service. On top of that, my weeds are worse than ever. Their technicians admitted to killing parts of my lawn by dumping too much fertilizer in a couple spots. Then, to fix the spots, they said they would aerate and seed those patches, which turned into them showing up when I was there to aerate my entire lawn, which damaged my in-ground sprinkler heads (yet to be fixed). I have cameras at my property, and when I review the footage I watch their technicians just zig zag across the lawn and not apply the treatment to large areas. The worst thing for me, is two times now, was they left my gates open to my fenced in back yard and my dogs escaped. We didnt know right away and I almost lost one of my dogs. TruGreens lack of respect and care for peoples yards is unequaled. I have never seen a business conduct itself in such a poor manner. I will never use them again.

This was my first time paying for a lawn care service and I couldnt have picked worse. I still have the same weeds in my lawn that I talked to them about with no attempt to get rid of them. They would show up for a service without warning then charge an arm and a leg. God forbid your account is delinquent or you have a payment arrangement they will harass you 3x a day with 3 separate voice mails to remind you even if your making good payments as well. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Reasonable prices and good prompt service

Last year we had Tru Green come out. I only thought I was scheduled through that service but now this year they came out without being called. I have now called and sat on hold 3 different times to cancel properly and no one gets back to me. Wait times are being quoted as 2 hours and when it says someone will call back and save my place in line no one does. I will literally be disputing the credit card bill and cutting off payment to stop the service.

I like that I can pay for the whole year and never think about it again. There are no traces of them being there except a tiny sign and a beautiful yard. My yard was very patchy because it was a rental and not taken care of. It is so beautiful now, and we are only 6 months in.

Was asking questions about their service. Person said Look do you want the service? then proceeded to hang up on me...

I love the service. My lawn looks great. BUT, i was unaware they would come back the following year without notification. I deleted the app and was not going to renew due to billing issues. I was quoted 1 fee and paid then was told i would get a discount because i was billed after paying in full. what discount i paid in full. Then i was talked into mosquito defense. Paid for that and then billed incorrectly and the defense didnt work unfortunately, The Reapplied at no cost a couple times. I again love the service but billing and customer support are minimal and awful....

We had trugreen last summer. Everytime they came out they wouldnt spray are whole yard. I mean there was a straight line of dandelions on one side then pretty green grass on the other. I kept calling and talking to customer service to let them know what was happening and they said they would put it in their notes... kept happening..... i was able to walk one guy my property line , then the next guy came and did half the yard again!!!. They wouldnt credit me and kept charging me. Then the mosquito plan they offer ..horrible! They would come out and spay and i would try to have a bomb fire that night and couldnt. Attack of the mosquitos! They didnt kill them they made them mad! Cause they were out for revenge! We owed around 30 buck cause i said im not paying for the mosquito plan cause obviously it didnt work. And thry called me every single day to get payment! Awful

These people will not stop calling me. Havent used their service for over 2 years and they insist on calling me several times a month despite the fact I tell them everytime to stop calling me. Wont use them again just for this.

Came out one time in March. Made repeated phone calls and texts to the managers to have them come back out now that it is June 1st. Never came back out neighbors lawn service Spring Green has been out three times. Cancelled my service with Tru Green(terrible service) now with Spring green. They came out immediately!!

Issues with over charging and adding services. So I got the normal package for treating my yard. It is a set price every visit. Last year Trugreen tried sell me on aeration, I told the representative I needed to talk to my wife and I d call them back if I wanted it. This guy Chris sets it up and they come and aerate my yard without notifying me. Then they bill me for the service. So I call Trugreen to try and get it resolved Chris best answer is well it s already done can you pay for half and we ll cover the other half. Spoiler still haven t refunded anything for that (over a year later). Now brings me to yesterday they decided to perform an additional service that no one contacted us about doing prior or even day of and my bill was doubled. Called customer support their mentality was we already have your money so we will make sure not to do this in the future. That s it!!! Horrible company.

I watched the service technichian get out of his truck walk one path of my yard and leave and i got charged for an entire treatment. It took 3 weeks of calling to get through to someone and they came once yet weeds are still prevalant. Would NOT reccomend!

Giselle at Tru Green branch #5747 needs to find another line of work. Very pleasant on the phone when offering a really good deal - but then she blew me off. Would not return my calls or text - completely left me hanging. Its been over a month since I agreed to her offer - and I still dont know if they plan on treating my lawn - or if she/they changed their mind. Again, very poor customer service from Giselle (sp?)

They did not cover the entire lawn, we continued to get weeds, dandelions, daisies etc.. when asked to please stop servicing the back yard and readjust the price, they said it was only a $10 reduction in price. Will not recommend them to anyone.

I am entirely frustrated with TruGreen based on multiple calls to customer service. I have called two months in a row, talked with the service person that comes to my house for lawn care. My lawn has a disease and I have asked TruGreen to fix it. Customer service has told me on 3 occasions that it would be completed on the next application and it has not been done. I cant reach the Rockford Illinois branch to get answers and customer service will not escalate it. Worst experience I have had with a lawn care company and the customer service group is beyond unhelpful.

We have used TruGreen in Rockford, IL for approx. 18 years. Their service and product have gotten continually worse. No one calls you back. They are constantly changing your plan without any notification. I have crabgrass GALORE - after paying for treatment. Will shop elsewhere!! Everytime they perform a weed and feed they leave me feedback that I have weeds in my yard - isnt that why I am paying them - to get rid of the weeds!!!!???

So TruGreen said they were at my house to Fertilize on Thurs.Oct.8th.They lied.I had No paperwork or the Stake they are suppose to put in my lawn when they Fertilize my house was not provided.I just want everyone to know how Dissatisfied I am with this Company they tried to charge me for services that werent not done.I expect a Refund in my Account.I have contacted the B.B.B. and I will be putting my Dissatisfaction on Social Media.I will not be continuing with my service with TruGreen.I will never try TruGreen again.

Worry free lawn service, always updated when they are coming and keep you informed if there is any delays. It would be hard to do it your self for what you pay TruGreen take care of it for you and the results are fantastic.

I called true green for mosquitoes and pests The saleswoman on the phone assured me that their products were aquatic and pet safe, they arent! She also told me for the price she quoted me would be for 8 acres, again Lied!!!!! I Thank God that the guy who came to spray told me the truth! He said the sales people tell customers that all the time! Its truly amazing to me that this saleswoman was willing to kill the fish in my 1 acre pond and make my animals sick for a few extra bucks on her paycheck!!!! The fertilizer they use is not good for pets

TruGreen ruined my yard. The oversprayed and killed 30% of my back yard and part of my front yard. In addition, the over-spraying made a perfectly healthy 20-year old birch tree loose it leaves on one cane. I was told to get an estimate to replace the damaged sod (it was only one year old) and when I submitted it, they balked at paying for the new sod. They asked if they could come reseed the area, but they have never showed up to do the work. It is impossible to get hold of anyone of authority by calling their toll-free number. All you get is the run around. I would not recommend this company or their service. They do not do a good job, They do not control the weeds like creeping Charlie and they obviously do they stand behind their work.

His work requires him to be around a variety of chemicals, which is why he always tells his workers to take precautions. You always have to protect yourself when youre using any chemicals, no matter the grade, Holland said. You have to wear a long sleeve shirt, long pants. The chemicals his workers are using are known as herbicides and insecticides, designed to kill invasive plants and ward off bugs like mosquitoes. The most common chemicals used are glyphosate 2, 4-D, and permethrin. Dr. Phil Landrigan, professor of pediatrics at New Yorks Mount Sinai Hospital, studies the effects of these chemicals on humans, in particular children and pregnant women. I think the fact that they have been around for a long time engenders a false sense of security, Landrigan said. This week, he presented his findings at a congressional briefing on the health risks of overexposure. There is also concern that pesticides of all kinds can damage the developing nervous system and can result in learning disabilities in children, behavioral problems and possibly chronic diseases like Parkinsons, Landrigan said. The doctor insists that some pesticides can stay in your system for years. Older pesticides like DDT can stay in the human body for years, even decades, Landrigan said. But Dr. Josh Bloom of the American Council of Science and Health says these chemicals have been used in the U.S. for at least 60 years and pose no risk. They added me to an address that I am not associated with. They try to argue with me whenever I call to clear things up. They pretty much tell me I am a liar, even though they are the ones that made the mistakes. This happens every year at the same time, and they still won t fix the problem. If I could give them no stars, I would. Terrible customer service!

TruGreen does a great job. John Watkins came yesterday to aerate our yard. The sprinkler heads were not mark because I didnt know he was coming. Helped me mark them. He was very kind and very professional. TruGreen has great customer service and product.

The training for lawn specialists isnt the greatest. There were some days I was confused on if I should spray and when I shouldnt. If they do it right it works.

My experience with TruGreen has been clean and simple. Promises made have been kept.

They spilled product around causing dead spots. They destrogen my pavers with their motorized cart. Them some white trash loser showed up with a shovel to push them back together, nevermind the foundation , mortar , or cosmetics. If they do not fix it we are going to court. They actually left burnt rubber marks on the pavers. When my wife told trugreen shovel man Kevin that his repair was unacceptable he was rude and unprofessional. On top of all that my lawn is no better than when I used the bagged scotts. I have had to call twice because they aplied in the pouring rain. Just letting my cash flow down the drain. Bottom line DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL , AND UNTRUSTWORTHY. GO ELSEWHERE SAVE YOURSELF THE GREIF-!!!!

I have so far been very impressed with this service. The staff have been very flexible and explained things to me in a manner where I did not feel like I was being pushed into products I did not need. In fact, I was told that I did not need something I was going to purchase additionally. We are only a little into our first year but so far the lawn looks great!

I called Trugreen ONE time regarding their services and they ended up not being the type of services I required. Every since then, they BLEW up my phone to the point I had to tell them off and almost needed to change my number. They would call and text at all hours and it was terribly annoying and bothersome. I will never call another service directly from my phone again. Even after complaining they still called my phone 2 weeks later.

Horrible experience!! Would NOT recommend at all. I called and paid. I was told that I would get a call in a couple of businesses days. I never got a call. So I called back to get my money back. Talked to a lady and she guaranteed it would be done by the end of the week plus she gave me a discount. It was the end of the week and I never got a call. I called back again to get my money back and the guy on the phone said that something might have happened to the guys vehicle. Nothing happened and he didnt put why I got skipped. Horrible company. I was a new customer. For all new customers, go use a different company.

Lawn care man was Joshua. He was very polite and courteous. Would recommend this company.

Beware... do not put any sort of card on file with them. You get quote for a price yet they charge you 3x times the amount quoted. We asked them to skip a month, which was a selling point of theirs. We called a week before our application to cancel, yet was charged anyway. Then when I call for a refund, they want you jump through hoops to get it. Been waiting over a week for them to credit my account and still nothing! Wouldnt recommend them at all. This is my first and last summer using them

My lawn looks fabulous. They are always there when they say they are going to be there and they do a great job. They also provide feedback on the status of your lawn or things you need to keep an eye on.

Our lawn looks very plush, even with the drought. Of course, we have an underground watering system, but even so the lawn is beautiful. We have a few weeds along the drive, but the gentleman who treated the lawn last time did some weed control along the drive and some flower borders. The personnel treating our lawn have all been very polite, knowledgeable, and cooperative with our requests, and also complimentary on our landscaping. Overall, very satisfied with Trugreen, and feel it has been a good investment.

The appearance of my lawn is great, and I know it is because Tru Green does such a good job. The specialists is always friendly and professional and I can always ask questions and he has an answer for me.

I always received a call 1-4 days prior to the treatment. Treatments were always performed according to plan (weather helped!). When I saw the specialist, they introduced themselves and explained what they were doing. Very courteous. I tried for 5 years to treat my lawn myself and the weeds only got worse. The cost is comparable to what I was spending at the big box stores and my lawn looks better than it ever has with just one year of treatments by TruGreen.
