Sprayed our lawn even though we didnt order their service, weve been trying to grow a natural clover lawn for years and this likely ruined any progress weve made. How the hell do you spray the wrong lawn!? Do you not check the address youre at? Completely incompetent.

The Serviceman arrived at the time previously announced, was proficient, and personable. Only concern was that our first treatment of the year did not take place until June 7 this year in spite of the early spring. Last year, our first treatment was May 4.

I will never use this company. Terrible customer service. I added an item to my cart on their website but never purchased anything. I ve received over 55 calls from Trugreen asking for business. I ve asked to be off their list multiple times.

Finally found a company that times their applications with forecasted weather. My yard perked right up with the recent rain!

I do not recommend contacting them. I get at least 2-3 calls a day. One day it was 9 calls and it was at late as 8:50 at night. I ve spoken with numerous people and I ve asked to be removed from their call list to only be called again. The same person that assured me I would be off their list just called me again.

The spraying was perfunctory manner -- apparently with less than full concern about detail -- lack of full coverage, and adequate spraying.

Absolutely horrible customer service. They do not follow through on paid services, cancel the services when you request to speak with a supervisor before anything is done with your account. They also flag your account if you give them feedback they do not want to hear. Terrible company who is not customer centered at all.

I am so frustrated with this company. I had recently had my lawn reseeded. I had signed up with this company to have our lawn care done and requested NO pre-emergent be used due to the new seeding. The first employee had come out with only pre-emergent on his truck and had to get a different truck and come back out. I had luckily spoken with this tech before he arrived to ensure he did not apply pre-emergent. A month went by, and seedlings were coming up and growing nicely. That is before TruGreen showed up and applied pre-emergent on my lawn and killed all my seedlings. The pre-emergent they used says not to use on new seeding for 60 days or 2 mowing, whichever is longer. I called customer service and got the run around and was told just to wait and see what happens in a month, but she would have a manager call me in 24 hours, which never happened. Well, another month went by, and the seedlings were completely dead. I called customer service and waited a day for them to call me back, this time, they did call. I had explained to Mary what had happened and she would have Adam, the local manager, call me, which again never happened. So they send out a tech out to reseed my lawn (without my knowledge or a call from Adam) only a month after using pre-emergent on my lawn, which, again, according to the company that makes the pre-emergent it is effective for 3-5 months. Yeah, so Im not expecting any of that to grow either. What a waste! One would think that a company that specializes in lawn care would know their products. Well, apparently, not this one. I am so frustrated with this service and even more so the management! You cant even get a local number to contact them at! Dont hire this company! Find someone local that cares about your business more than these guys do!!! I absolutely hate writing this type of review, but if it helps someone avoid the same mistreatment, Ive gone through well then. I guess it is worth it.

The two guy from the rodchester minnesota office were very professional and answered questions and concerns. Thanks Bill Sears & Brandon Knudsen They brought back positive confidence I needed to have with some areas that were not serviced properly. Also contacted there manager for property damage due to spray on flowing fruit plants I wanted protected as it was a concern of mine. Time will tell how things look I ll keep you posted.

The prices are a bit lower but the quality of work is not. They have been a good company to work with.

Darnell never forgets the skinny southern strip of my lawn as some past appliers have. As usual, he was friendly and upbeat, doing my entire lawn quickly and efficiently. Service with a smile!

If I could leave a minus on the review, it would be -5 stars. This place charges out the nose and can t seem to kill weeds or even show up. 4 weeks they have rescheduled and when I call to ask why they don t show, the first time they ran out of chemicals then he told them we were mowing at 8 am and couldn t do the service. I was in the house getting ready for work, no one was mowing. Do not use this company. I would say 8 out of 10 times, they had to come back.

We prefer Christian to the others that have performed our lawn care, because he takes the time to be thorough. He is kind and respectful to us when in contact with us as well as our home.

I did not have good service while I was with this company. They sprayed my garden beds right up against my house with chemicals after telling me they legally can not do that. I saw no improvement in my grass and I was told they would come back out as needed if I called but dis not. I no longer have a yard. They refuse to stop calling me daily. I have told them I now rent an apartment and when I ask to be taken off the calling list they hang up or put me on hold. Do not give this company your information they clearly do not respect boundries or follow through on their claims.

Advertising worked. I found TruGreen via flyer and email. It was easy to get scheduled for 2022. In less than a week, we were scheduled for routine care. Darnell and Marcus have already showed up and completed their applications. They work fast too! I got a flag in the yard each time. Plenty of emails keep me updated on scheduling and what will and did happen at the appointment. A summary is given to track progress. Looking forward to the spring aeration and seeing this front yard look healthier! Thanks!

I decided to go with Tru Green to control weeds. Parts of my lawn they seem to spray and weeds are getting out of control. I am sick of their pushy salesman trying to sell other services like mosquito control.

Very poor service. Schedule to come to our house only to cancel multiple times. The reps apologize and guarantee they ll be there only to cancel again. Either the reps lie or are incompetent. DON T use this service!

Easy! They schedule the service and call a day before! My lawn looks beautiful! Easy to pay my bill or schedule prepay!

They are good at selling products (often unnecessary) but not at doing their work. Their products do work if they show up. They did not show up for 3 months and the weed grew back in my yard throughout the summer. I had their aeration last year with seeding. I did not spot any seed in the yard, so i wonder how economic the seeding was. The aeration was also very irregular. In some areas, there were holes everywhere, which caused a bit of erosion. In others areas, there was nothing or minimal aeration. This year they pre-scheduled me for aeration/seeding without even asking (and would charge me for it if i had not cancelled in time). I got a notification for the next day, which i could have easily missed. I think they have grown too much and then started to lose track of scheduled services and hired people that know nothing about aeration/seeding. Dirty money making strategy with scheduling additional services without asking. I tried to complain and get some refund, but their solution is to rush multiple applications before winter. I dont need lawn services in the winter. One application for winterization is more than enough. They made a mistake and were not willing to correct it. Poor experience.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. They burned out half of our lawn with over application. To get them back to take care of it has been a nightmare.

Having a great green lawn upon moving in my new home I chose Trugreen to keep it that way. By the end of the first summer I had a red rust mold dust on my lawn and come spring more weeds than before. I set up another summer treatment program and the lawn only got worse. When I asked a technician why my lawn had a red rust dust when walking through and mowing, he had no idea. He assured me he would ask his boss and get back to me. I never heard back from him. On top of more weeds there was damage to lawn lights and plants from dragging the long hose used to spray the chemicals over top of them. The decorations were not in the lawn but placed in a large mulched area under my group of trees and other flowers. I have also heard that they dilute there chemicals more than recommended. I believe it because after two summers my lawn has not been as good as it was when I moved in. I will not be using trugreen nor will I recommend the service to anyone.

Late service 2 years in a row after Crabgrass is already up and healthy and no local number to call. Calling the corporate number is always over a two hour wait and I never get call back when choosing that option.

Just Amazing!

I dont really care for this company. Weve had 3 treatments thus far (2 on the same day) and are on the verge of cancelling. Our initial service was in April and they didntcome back until June. Many hidden fees and they come out here for all of 5 minutes just to charge you $60. I feel like you can get much better lawn care for a much cheaper price at a smaller company. Not to mention all of the sales calls they do. I already have services and someone called me last week trying to sell me the same services. 2 stars because I havent seen more than a few treatments and I tend to give companies the benefit of the doubt.

They didnt show up today as scheduled.

We signed up for the season. The second time they came out, didnt do a part of yard. We called, next person did same service. This time, the person sprayed our sod, which was green & a month old & burnt it. Not happy!!

The mosquito treatment worked for two weeks. The local rep I spoke to was great but cant get ahold of him now and if I call the local branch number it says disconnected. Can someone please contact me to get this changed? Ive called the corporate number as well and they just tell me to wait. I just need another treatment before my next service date and would like to get my reps number again as I had in the past until my phone broke.

I have used TruGreen for many years and am always super impressed by their customer service. This companies is rated the highest in my book when it comes to customer service. Whenever I have had a discrepancy regarding service rendered and what I agreed to they have always accommodated us, which is amazing. they are so easy to work with and our yard is beautiful. Even though they may be slightly more price tag wise, they won us over in customer service and delivery of a great product!

The local Rochester trugreen specialists and company was wonderful and I never had any issues. The corporate company over all was challenging to deal with, lots of advertisement calls to add additional services, high cost, and had a hard time canceling.

I just discovered that TruGreen will be charging my credit card without my authorization for another year of service. I only came to know this because they did it to my daughter. They did a great job on the lawn last year but did not do a good job informing me, to my memory, that it would be a recurring charge. If you use them make sure you read all the fine print ask lots of questions and be careful.

Tru Green is going the extra mile in an attempt to eliminate a type of weed the technician could not identify. I have been extremely satisfied with this company. The last two years I was with another lawn care service who just was not giving me the service I was paying for. I am sure Tru Green will be able to take care of this in short order. Ive gotta say, the sales person who called me to provide a quote was so incredibly rude. IMMEDIATELY wanted me to purchase the most expensive option without even giving me the chance to know about any other packages. Very pushy. Barely let me talk and was VERY dismissive when I mentioned I wanted to wait for other quotes. Would NOT send me a written quote for reference and just hung up on me. NOT impressed at all. He got all his information from a satellite view of my yard. How do you really know what my lawn needs from a 5 year old snapshot?

I used them for lawn aeration last year, and they made the huge mistake of not honoring my wishes that they skip putting down their garbage grass seed, which is a blend that also contains ANNUAL RYE. In addition to having to deal with the annual ryegrass dying and turning brown in late spring, I also had to deal with them coming over unannounced and performing an aeration service. Apparently, even though I paid upfront for the last aeration service and threw a fit when they disregarded my special instructions, Trugreen automatically enrolls you in repeat services. In addition to that, apparently some genius decided aerating just before the peak of summer hits would be a good thing. They tried to charge me for it, but they dropped it. However, as a result of their top tier retardation of aerating at the worst possible time, I now have a ton of weeds invading as my grass pulls back on growing to deal with the heat stress. From 99% weed-free yard to tons of new weeds popping up everywhere, all due to an aeration service I never requested, that was deemed a good idea by the same idiots who couldnt manage to follow simple instructions the first (and what I thought was the last) time I ever got Trugreen service.

Hired them for one year. Got constant attempts to upsell me. The next 2 years I was inundated with phone calls trying to get me to sign up again, probably 5 to 6 a week. Despite telling them no multiple times, I could not get them stop calling. Too big of a company to offer good customer service.

To whom this concerns, I had our lawn serviced on June 14,2018 and our lawn was turning yellow. Ive made many phone calls to get someone to come out and evaluate our lawn, finally after 10 days I have someone stop by and evaluate our lawn. The service tech was going to add seed to lawn and to try to bring color back. It got worse and the base of our lawn is truly dead. We feel our concerns have not been met in a timely matter. Finally it was agreed our front lawn was going to be replaced and now the service manager is changing the story around after having it measured. We put our trust in this company to properly fertilize our lawn and we are more frustrated in how this is being handled by a well known company.

I have only had one treatment. They called the day before, and showed up as expected. It is still early so hard to tell what affect it has had on my yard.

They just get it done and it looks great.

Terrible service. Terrible customer service as well. Ive been a customer for several years and this year has been the worst. Many dead spots in my yard with piles of fertilizer in them, (over-fertilized/spilled) Ive had to call them back because none of the weeds were sprayed after they visited and it was stated on their completion slip that weed killer was applied. I emailed my complaint with no follow up in 2 months. I called to cancel my account due to poor service and no-one cared to look deeper into it. Very poorly managed company with poor technicians and apparent lack of training. Will be canceling all 3 of my accounts with them including a commercial account. I do NOT recommend trugreen

My yard was burnt and is now dying off. Requested a complete refund for three weeks now and have received no response. Local office nor corporate office will return phone calls or emails.

I am a neighbor of a TruGreen customer. Today wind speed got to 26 miles an hour with gusts over 30. Having small children home our windows were open, our house is now engulfed in chemical smell. This is not the first time TruGreen has sprayed on windy days and wonder the licensing requirements for spraying chemicals in such conditions. Our neighborhood is not a fan of this company.

Not happy, service stinks! The service guy came to spray trees, we added 8 new trees. He never asked which other trees to spray, so I filled him in... I watched him spray the trees, he never sprayed the new trees I explained to him. I walked back there to ask if he sprayed the trees, of course he said, yup I did. lied to my face...WOW! Then he left and for got to spray the regular 13 tree that he normal sprays...His head must of have been in the sand.

I was not home when the lawn service was done but I feel that my lawn looks very healthy this year. I have had less difficulty with Japanese beetles with grub service done this year. My lawn service is always done when I have been advised it is scheduled.

Tru green came out to my house but didnt put fertilizer down. The worst my lawn has ever looked in ten years! I dethatch and aerate every year, sharpen my blade and water when required. Looking for other options!

Who advertised door to door by leaving suspicious bags with a warning label advising you not to open the package indoors? These idiots. Person was in an unmarked car, and wouldnt leave the house for 10 minutes. Super Creepy, Super suspicious. Wouldnt trust them after this move.

My lawn looks great and I am also having my trees and shrubs taken care of and they look great too. Your service people are so informative regarding the work being done at our house, which I appreciate. Our area has a bad infestation of japanese beetles and I think that because of the spraying my yard doesnt have them.

My lawn looks awful after 2 years

I am very happy with my service. My yard looks great, where it has been watered, I just need to move sprinkler more. Hard to do. My service guy (Cordell Mateen-Bush) is a great guy, very nice always happy with smile. Has always comes to door first and then when he is done. Always tells me what is being put down. I will request him every year. Really like that the time is always early. Everything is great. Just can not believe we have had no rain.

TruGreen feeds my lawn with what it needs when it needs it. Ive been using TruGreen for over two years at this home and the yard looks so much better than before they began their services. They take care of all lawn except cutting. I get to do that and enjoy.

In general, the lawn does pretty well with these treatments. It has really helped control creeping charlie, which my neighbors have in abundance. You can pretty much see the line were you spray. I still have some dandelions in a few spots but overall good control.

Friendly employees -- and the services themselves are great. 4 stars there. Why 2 stars? Be very aware of their billing options. I ordered a one-time application (as in, explicity said Id only like one application for now and to pay for only one) but was charged for the whole year-long treatment she-bang (over $250) and have subsequently spent 3+ hours, multiple phone calls (4) with their customer service trying to resolve the issue. The first call they refunded the money,and said everything was figured out, but then I received another bill, called back to inquire (just want to make sure Im no longer on the year-long plan) and was told I was fine -- everythin was just processing. Flash forward 2 weeks later, I wake up to find that 2 treatments have been done on my lawn. Now, I feel bad, I know Ive been refunded for the year-long application cycle and realize I might still be in the system even though my money is refunded(?) I call again, offering to pay for the services that have just recently been done but also to really actually seriously cancel services (and explain I really actually seriously only wanted one application, one time, one month ago) -- but then am informed that I was taken off the pre-paid one-year program and now am being charged pay as you go fro the year-long program. As in, theyve already charged me over $100 for the treatment done this morning. Also, Im informed that I have to be transferred (another call) to resolve my issue, but actually they will call me back. Cool. I feel like Im stuck in a bad relationship. TruGreen -- I think youre great, but I just need to get out. Its not you -- its me. But please, let me go. My lesson learned: Be very careful when you pre-pay for services (in my opinion, dont do it), one-time services in particular.

The individual that services my lawn has been doing it for quite sometime so he knows me and my yard, he does a great job when he is here, very friendly and helpful.

I am very happy with trugreen .My lawn looked better this year than it has for a very long time. After a couple of times of them being here I noticed some weeds and they took care of them right away and I havent had any more trouble. They always let me know when they are coming and the couple times I have talked to them they were very nice and very helpful. I am on a fixed income and find the price of the service reasonable and affordable.
