My lawn is looking great after two services from true green. Very pleased.

This is our first full year and after a few minor hiccups we are 100% satisfied but please note that management was very easy to work with and addressed my concerns immediately.service technicians were excellent and listened to my concerns too.

Tru Green has been the most appropriate choice for my lawns. They are absolutely trying to work with the customers schedule and needs. If I recall correctly Vincent, Adam, Michael, Joseph,Cok have serviced my lawns and from the first application till now I have only seen thr lawns getting greener and weeds disappearing. They were kind enough to ring the doorbell to announce they have arrived and would let me know to close the yard door once they were done. If there was something they need to work on is the MAPS which shows the location of the specialists, i does not work . The first time i was watching the APP it kept hovering about 2 streets north of my house and kept doing that for over 45 minutes even though the time given was almost over. . Keep up the good work.

TruGreen, what a disgrace! My parents are 20 year long customers and one of YOUR workers nailed my parents back deck. It shook their entire house and my parents went outside and she stood there and said I own this I already told my boss . The boss proceeded to call my father and say it would be taken care of! My parents could have asked for an entirely new deck but asked for just the basics to be fixed, knowing mistakes happen and people are human. NOW your investigator is suddenly saying they didn t do it! My poor father has had ENOUGH stress with his health for the last 6 months- he certainly doesn t need this! He can barely walk, you think he is going to go take a hammer to his own back deck? He is truly the most honest man. The investigator is saying the technician is denying hitting it all of a sudden crazy.. honest and good customers for years get treated this way. I recommend if your considering this service you stay far away and they will initially take accountability then when it s time to actually do the work they deny deny deny

Lawn was showing patches of nutsedge and was spreading profusely, but Tru Green came to the rescue. Nathan S. got out his sledgehammer and traipsed the entire yard looking for those awful yellow spikes. Well done Nathan.

I strongly recommend using an alternative company for your lawn services in the Rochester NY area. I have used TruGreen for years, prepaying each year annually. Prior to COVID, I received reliable service, and never had to call customer service for issues related to receiving the services that Ive paid for. Since COVID, it has been a constant battle to get them to come to my home (the same has been true for my neighbor). The past two years in particular has required several calls each season to customer service asking why I havent received service when expected. The people who answer the phone have always been very nice, and it seems theyve tried to be helpful -- but the companys scheduling system is an absolute disaster. This year, I received 2 service visits (out of 6), once in May and once in early June. It is now August 10 -- I was skipped for no reason at all in July, and I have called customer service twice in the last 1.5 weeks. Each time, I was told that I will receive a scheduling call soon, the last time indicating that the call will come between August 6 and 10. Well, it is 6pm on August 10, and there still has been no call. Calling Monday to permanently cancel my service.

Update: 8-12-24 Aidan came today and did 3rd treatment of mosquitoes defense and so far so good. We have not recently spent much time outside in the evening due to rain but during the day I have not been bothered. Aidrn does a very good job. Update 5-22-24: Tried the mosquitoes defense program. Today was the first application. Aidan did a great job. As this is my first experience with this sevice I am not entirely sure what to expect. The coming weeks will tell. More to follow. Late April 2024: This is an updated review from last years (2023) service. TruGreen called me asking about my opinion of the service and I had told them I was not pleased with last years service. THEY actually listened and responded in a very positive Manor. I know it is early in the season but the FIRST service was performed in a timely manner (late April) this year instead of late May like last year. I watched Roger C. perform the service from my multiple outside camers and he did an excellent job. So far so good! I am hoping the good service continues this season!

They ruined my lawn. My lawn was looked great before. They claim to have put too much chemicals and they will come back to fix it. It has been 7 months now and they still have not come back to fix it. I will never recommend them to any of my friends.

Jmyles deserves5 stars, but his management deserves 1 star. Jmyles was on time, very polite and very professional. Unfortunately, this TruGreen franchise is woefully lacking. When he arrived, Jmyles truck broke down in the middle of our driveway. When help arrived an hour and a half later, they were able to get it going again. THEN, the applicator hose failed, so Jmyles had to resort to granular fertilizer and a spot sprayer for weeds instead of a full treatment. Definitely not good.

I had them for my Lawn. I fired them because of shoddy work and LAZINESS !!! So 10 years later, (Big mistake ) I decided to get them to spray my bushes. What a mistake they re worse than they ve ever been !!! I fired them before they even came ! Keyword here is LAZINESS !! Avoid this company do yourself a favor !!

I used to love the service from the company it was, before it was taken over by TryGreen. After that, I have burned patches in my lawn from over treatments and leaking hoses, burned bushes and shrubs from uneven treatments, I have cancelled one service yet they seem to ignore that cancellation and keep treating for it!. Have called twice to cancel same service with no luck. Last time they came were to apply Mosquito Defence, but instead applied the treatment I had cancelled! Not a trust worthy company, customer service reps are hard to understand, and they are not doing what they say they are doing. Im so done with this company.

I had a few questions for Carson. He answered them to my satisfaction.

Asked for soil testing specifically when I signed up. First visit, no soil test results. I call in and get told soil tests cost extra and they could do it next time. I cancelled service. EDIT: when you leave a negative review for trugreen, they call you half a dozen times even after you cancel service and tell them to stop calling. Apparently they believe harassment is a sales technique.

My specialist, Michael Bilodeau always does a complete and thorough application to my lawn. He is always courteous and answers any questions or requests I have.

I switched to TruGreen from another company and I am sorry I did! They have burnt my new sod and grass! Horrible! I will never use again and do not recommend their services.

Aidan Pecora Came over today to do the mosquito application. He was very personable and knowledgeable. He answered any questions that I had and took great pride in his work. You can tell that he really likes working for the company and he wants to do the best job he can For the customers. He s a keeper!!

Twice now they sprayed in our fenced in back yard where we told them not to go as we have small dogs. Then had the gall to charge us for doing it! We canceled and will never use such incompetents again. Idiots!

Would give a negative 100 if I could. Came home from work to find my whole yard sprayed with chemicals that I never asked for. Yellow signs everywhere, from the front yard to the back! Found the receipt in my door, FOR MY NEIGHBOR who was paying to have HIS YARD SPRAYED! Apparently 90 and 96 are the EXACT same number! We dont believe in using chemicals and like having all the different types of native plants in our green grass since it attracts birds and wildlife. They left a greasy chemical mess on my driveway and sprayed ALL MY STRAWBERRIES, because apparently they dont know what weeds look like. Now my new strawberry plants,that just started growing strawberries, are turning yellow and dying! I am unable to let my dog outside now for 24 hours or my children. Called to speak to someone and they told me I will a supervisor call you right back. Still havent heard a word! This company is terrible, irresponsible, and unprofessional!

Stay away from this company! They will provide all these packages and upselling techniques to get you enrolled on this year long programs! They will come once or twice and out of sudden just stop showing up, but the bills will continue. At the end of a very long and frustrating 12 month contract, I had more than $300 balance outstanding, which I had to pay for the bill not to go to collections, even though services were not performed. Now, I have sold my house and relocated elsewhere, upon moving out, I called the company to settle everything. I specifically said: cancel everything, every package, every discount, every service I have with you because Im moving out. Two months after I have moved out, they sent someone to perform service and now are sending my bill to collection because Im refusing to pay for services i had previously cancelled to a house I dont even own anymore! Stay away, big time - once they have your payment information they can do whatever they want with you payment information and you cant do anything about it because getting someone on the phone that can actually solve the problem is impossible.

I love James! He is so easy to get along with; this is because he has such an amazing temperament that he uses whenever he is here taking care of the insects in my yard. I look forward to seeing him, so respectful, none of that condescending macho attitude. But, I havent met any grumpy, TruGreen technicians. Obviously, I am a satisfied TruGreen customer.

After a VERY confusing problem with my account, several phone calls, and lots of my time, Elizabeth in Residential billing at the Rochester branch, and Casey the Regional Commercial Rep, they were able to figure out the mix up and straightened out my two accounts. Somehow they were flipped around. My residence was listed as my commercial property, and vice versa. Both Elizabeth and Casey were VERY helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. They resolved a complex situation that I never knew existed, and every time I called to pay my bill(s) online, I kept getting routing back and forth between residential and commercial. It was VERY frustrating. So THANK YOU Elizabeth from Rochester office, and field representative Casey from Maine, for fixing this problem and saving me a lot of aggrivation in the future. They BOTH deserve a raise!!

After our first application (on our green grass), part of our lawn turned yellow. The application that was put on our grass burnt the grass. I reached out right away a manager by the name of Eric responded and sent a tech out. The tech agreed that when the application was put down on our green grass, it did burn the grass. The manager ended up calling us back and didn t have a solution, instead asked us to wait a couple weeks to see if it corrects itself. I told him that was not feasible, that s not what we paid for to get our grass burnt. he asked me what we would like done, I asked for a refund. I m really confused on what your website states under guarantee, Trugreen specialist will return as often as needed to make any necessary adjustments to ensure your satisfaction This was not offered but a refund was. We are left to figure it out. Thank you

My experience with my first TRUGREEN lawncare application was excellent service! They arrived as scheduled, one of the technicians let me know that they were about to apply an application, what they were putting on and what I did/did not have to do post application. They also put neighbor notifications on the perimeter of the lawn. They were both polite and professional.

My front lawn was so full of crabgrass and weeds I was considering ripping it up and hydro seeding to start over. After 1 season with TruGreen I had a lush, beautiful lawn.

We have used them for years. We have a new person this year and he was extremely curious and did a great job. We have tried to use other companies and even apply product ourselves, but our lawn has never been better then with TruGreen service.

No one local to talk to regarding problem..they tell me that someone will call back..bs..strange business I am shocked they have plenty of customers

I have used this company for many years and have only had twice a year fertilizer applied. I received a telephone call advising that if I paid in advance I could get a discount. I specifically mentioned only getting fertilizer and the person who called noted that was what I had been getting and that would continue. Today, we got our first treatment which included a full dose of chemicals, weed killer, etc. When I called I was told that rather than the limited applications I had agreed to that I was signed up for the full treatment. They did agree to cancel and refund, and I do hope that this will happen but I would never again want to deal with a company that allows such dishonest salesmen to work for them.

Love they give me a warning before their almost to my house so I can get all my animals inside before they come to spray. Mosquitoes almost disappear the day they arrive and I live in an area with woods all around me. I flag any plants/flowers/vegetables I dont want sprayed and they always stay away from them. Their notes help as well to keep the Mosquitoes and other pests out of my yard. Great work and highly recommend.

They came and put Chemicals all over my yard Saturday when I wasnt home. I dont use your service. I left a message at 3 p.m. Saturday with the local manger that has still been unanswered. Meanwhile My children couldnt play on my lawn all weekend and there is a good chance my lawn will burn out. Good luck trying to get through to the Corporate Complaint line..Update:after getting through to corporate someone coming to access the situation....Update the local manager came and took a look now its just wait and see....Update #3 upgraded to 4 Stars because my lawn is the healthiest its ever been. Considering signing up for service now.

Addressed all my concerns and answered my questions

I saw Josiah applying weed killer to my lawn yesterday afternoon 5/17. I spoke to him briefly about the cable wire that had not been buried on my property. He seemed very pleasant and I was glad to have met him. Looking forward to seeing the results of today s application.

Couldn t be more dissatisfied with TruGreen s service! Absolutely terrible. Every time I was serviced in the past there was an issue- only servicing half my lawn, rescheduling multiple services .well, this week I received a bill for services that were NEVER provided. When I called customer service to cancel they refused to provide me with an updated invoice or connect me to a manager. Awful service!!!

The worst choice my husband and I ever made - paid for the works, primarily aeration and seeding which was an expensive addition. When they came to seed in the Fall, they took care of a few small dirt patches and nothing else. They didnt even touch the backyard. We called and were told someone would come back. When they finally did it was so late in the Fall that none of the seed took. So come spring, we called again, and they said they would return to fix it. When they returned they did not aerate or seed but rather sprayed pesticides. We were incredibly displeased. So we called. They came back a week later, AND SPRAYED PESTICIDES AGAIN! So they said they would come back again to seed. Eventually a manager called my husband and explained how they were so sorry this had all happened but they could actually not come and seed because the amount of pesticides they had put down would harm the new seed. So they assured him that instead someone would come seed near the end of the month so that the seed would not be harmed. They never did. My husband called back and he was told that the manager must have misspoke because we werent scheduled for seeding, rather we were put into a schedule for the people who do the seeding to call us regarding when they would come. They never called. I just got off the phone with them again and they informed me it is now too late for Spring seeding and we will have to wait until the Fall...Meanwhile, Im sure they will keep trying to charge us for this and that, all the while never having actually done the thing we paid them ALOT of money to do because we are not allowed to cancel our account if you have any pending services on the schedule. Therefore, should they ever finally come seed in the Fall, we will have to call back again to cancel otherwise they will charge us for service renewals automatically.

Although I wasn t home, my Tech TY M is awesome. He left me a note about what he did and is always very cautious around the inground pool area. Best part - the way my landscaping is it s sometimes hard to tell when the lawn got sprayed but he always put a stake right by the front porch so I don t miss it.

I get compliments on how my front lawn looks. No weeds, strong and healthy

I m wondering why their true green truck must take up 4 parking spaces at wegmans in Penfield in the afternoon? Just rude!! And wegmans was very busy today so non lazy people had to park out further! Just Lazy! I m thinking they do their work the same way.

Up until now our lawn looked great. After the last application our yard developed a fungus where we have brown patches everywhere. Trying to talk to an individual who speaks decent English is difficult. All I want is a representative to come look at our yard and tell us what we need to do. You think that would be simple. You can even talk to someone local. Don t know about renewing next year

I was just looking at my lawn this morning and thinking this the BEST it has looked in 15 years. TruGreen has eliminated EVER dandelion, seeded to fill in bare spots and fertilized it to make it full and green

I would like to let you know how much I was pleased with our lawn care specialist Mike Bilodeau. He is as professional as you d see on a television commercial! It was rather warm day yesterday, but Mike was out there working hard like a machine, in full uniform. I feel obligated to make you aware of this because as a business owner and HVAC contractor for 20 years, I know how working in the heat & elements can be! I have seen Mike working on our neighbor s lawns over the years prior to becoming a customer, I d say, there is someone who knows what their doing! Mike is by far a valuable asset to your team!

Weve had True Green for 2 summers now. And the lawn looks worse than when we started. The weeds are not dying after several treatments and we are simply not satisfied. Not to mention they would like a payment with none of the results they promised. Horrible

Grass and shrubs look great. Have used Tru Green for over 15 years. Technicians are very professional and very responsive if needed to address an issue.

I noticed there is another person with similar issue. I just called the number for a quote and now I am getting 8-10 calls a day harassing me for business. I never gave them my phone number just asked for some information. They seem to take it from the caller id WITHOUT my permission. This is all illegal in New York State. This is something the Bureau of Internet & Technology, Data & Information Privacy would love to know about. They should have never broadcasted or sold my information without my knowledge. This is shameful. Feel sorry for the local person who bought into this franchise-unless he/she is alike. Hate to see what would they do to the information once a customer cancels service with them.

James came out to take care of the white scale on my wheeping willow tree and on another bush. He said he will also come back to put oil on the tree to insure that the infestation is totally gone. He also fertilized the plants & trees and even used a granular fertilizer on my back woods ground cover. Great job James!

Our lawn is in much better shape after True Green treatments. Extra care was taken at this visit with concern for my Koi pond.
