We ve had a terrible experience since day 1. The weeds are constant and have never been eliminated. Weeds were/and are rampant around our home and I ve had to pull the majority of them since we have used them. After complaining the first few times, they sent someone out. The only response we received is we needed a $400.00 aeration and overseed. The weeds were so bad, we never knew if they showed up or not. My husband finally cancelled them a week ago. There are weeds that are in the front of our home that I ve continually have to pull. We haven t been able to finish our river rock as a result. Incredibly disappointed and such a waste of money.

I had previously used another company that turned out to be terrible. When they showed up, they would treat part of my yard and then leave. My yard was in rough shape due to being infested with Dallis Grass. I called the Green Team and gave them an opportunity. They took care of the problem and also identified some other issues which were resolved. Then they aerated and overseeded and now my yard looks amazing. Using them for both of my houses now. They do a pretty good job and my lawn is about 90% weed-free; Spring, Summer and Fall. However, I repeatedly have to remind them to treat the other 10% of my lawn where it runs up to and meets the public street. Even though its a county drainage run (coulee), they often forget it or simply assume that its not part of my lawn.

We have used The Green Team for a few years, then did some home projects so we stopped the service and have had it back for two years in a row now. We could really tell a difference in our grass from when we had the service, stopped the service and then started it back up again. Our grass looks so green, is dandelion free (while other yards are filled with them), and overall looks thicker and healthier. We can even tell while mowing it that the grass is thicker and healthier. We are so pleased with The Green Team!

Getting the services started was easy and I appreciate having an annual plan that I dont have to think about. My neighbors are jealous of how good my back yard looks and many have also contacted the Green Team to begin service. Highly recommend. My only constructive feedback is they dont consistently give advance notice of when they will service your yard.

My lawn has never looked better. They are reliable and always friendly. Since we have a dog, I appreciate their calling the day before a treatment so we can keep him inside. Also, their charges are little more than what I spent when I did my own.

Weve been pleased with the Green Team. We bought our house 5 years ago and the yard was a weed patch. We started with a different lawn company, and found they were not doing the work they claim to do. My husband works from home and knows when service occurs. Green Team and I have a long, long history! They turned the (well let s just face it) ugliest lawn on our street into the envy of all who see it. They did more than just treat it they educated me! I always thought grass was grass. Cut it low so you don t have to mow again too soon that was our mantra. Derek was so patient (bless his heart) & explained the importance of each step of each treatment AND the importance of NOT scalping the lawn but allowing it to grow and never cut lower than 3 1/2 inches high ( of course my husband loves that part), it allows a strong root system to develop. Technician Alonzo was very efficient and professional. He took a great amount of care in everything he did. Which was fertilizer, weed and crabgrass control. After he applied product he took the time to blow it off all walkways. Great attention to detail! My lawn is looking great!

In less than 24 hours of ordering the tick & mosquito service they arrived. Sarah did a great job, was very thorough and professional. We even had a few unexpected balls in the air when she arrived and worked with our schedule. I m looking forward to a pest free yard.

FUN UPDATE: Owner called claiming he was very clear about what they were doing, which is incorrect. He is not going to make me pay, thankfully, but said we are never allowed to contact them for services again. I tried to say I wont due to all of this and he shouted okay bye and hung up. I called for a consultation/walk through of my yard due to English ivy but never set up any service due to schedule conflict. They showed up unannounced and we sent them away because we hadnt made an appointment. I get an email saying they came and sprayed while we were NOT home and sent an invoice. I never agreed to this. I called the office and the lady on the phone said that dont do English ivy so no idea what part of my yard they sprayed. They put a sign in our front yard, when I contacted them about my backyard. This couldve gotten our dog sick had she licked/eaten any grass nearby. Beware that they dont set appointments, they just show up whenever and let themselves onto your property.

After speaking with two other lawn services, I chose the Green Team and Im so glad I did. Derek explained the entire process for my lawn in great detail so I would know exactly what I needed and what each treatment provided. He assigned Ian to treat and overseed my lawn. Ive had two treatments, aeration and over seeding and I have to say; Im blown away. The Green Team has serviced my yard for the last year. I noticed great improvements in my existing lawn- fewer weeds (it was mostly weeds so I don t expect it to go completely away so quickly), no dandelions or the little white flowers all over like many neighbors, greener grass, etc. While I really just need new grass, I m very happy with the service they provided. Set the schedule once and don t have to think again about it- that s my kind of lawn care!

I have used a couple of the other chain lawn care companies and The Green Team has always out performed the others. They don t use pressure sales and try to sell you services that you don t want or need. I used to mow other lawns in my neighborhood that used the other companies, they still had lots of weeds while mine was weed free. I would highly recommend them.

My lawn was in terrible condition due to a lot of trees that were planted by the previous owners. Once I removed all the trees, a neighbor recommended the Green Team. They came out and assessed my lawn condition and began treatments. I noticed a big difference in my lawn only after a couple of days. The weeds were gone! Since I started using the Green Team, my lawn has improved significantly. The grass has thickened up and the weeds have decreased. The service cost is reasonable and they respond to requests promptly.

We had a great first service of our lawn in Forest, VA from The Green Team based in Roanoke, VA. I went out to speak to the technician Steve about how long our dogs should stay off the grass after his application (1 hour). Steve also provided a lot of valuable insight into what he was going to do for that application, what the companys philosophy is, things that set The Green Team apart, and what to expect as we move through the year of service visits. Perhaps most importantly, Steve said to be patient as it takes time for the full effects of the lawn treatments to be fully seen. Now, approximately a month and a half after that initial application, our grass is significantly greener and fuller, and a large number of the weeds are gone! Very impressed!

I recently bought an older home with a lawn that had been neglected for a long time. I had previously used another lawn care company at another property, but was less than impressed with the results. We have had The Green Team for about three years and each year we are able to see a chance in the yard. Their are still a few small spots in the back yard that we are having trouble with but its coming along. These guys are amazing! My fiancé and I bought our home last year and the yard had been so neglected. I didnt think that wed ever get it to looking like a quality yard. We actually gave up last year and just kept it mowed down. There were weeds and so much mixed grass. I called the Green Team and they came right over to evaluate the property. While they told me that they couldnt do miracles and it would take time, I was blown away. After the first treatment our yard immediately showed a difference. The weeds died off and our grass starting coming through. While we still have a few dead spots that will need overseeding this fall, we have one of the nicest lawns on our block. Joe and Steve have been awesome in turning my lawn from a weed field into lush green grass. For the amount of work they do, I could never do it myself at the cost the green team does it for. Their customer service is great and they always respond as quick as possible. They will focus in problem areas of your lawn and give you any advice you might need for specific issues. Ive been at work so much lately, there was no way I could do more than mow my lawn, which was basically burnt. When they came to aerate and seed, they gave my wife full instructions for follow up care, both verbally and written. When I finally had some time at home, I had some questions about watering. Darren called within minutes on a Sunday afternoon and talked me through specific istructions on purchasing watering equipment and what to expect. They really want you to have a quality experience. so initially i was very disappointed. i was contacted by the company and they came out to do another treatment. this time the weeds are gone and the grass really started to grow well. as i was taking the trash out this am i recognized the difference and decided that i needed to update my review. If they keep putting down applications the way it was done the second time, where i can clearly see that they covered better and along the edges of the property too, i feel like this was a good investment. I appreciated that the company wanted to make things right.

I am a precise person. Actually, I am that crusty, fussy, old guy in the neighborhood that was always yelling at the kids to keep off his grass. In other words, I care a lot about my lawn. Over the past two decades I have tried and fired just about all the lawn services in the Roanoke valley. The guys at Green Team made a cold call one day and smooth talked me with promises of a lawn that would be the best in the neighborhood. I took a chance and tried them. The team worked hard and made good on their promise. It has been three years now and my lawn is a show piece that has gotten better each year. I regularly have complete strangers stop and ask me how I get/keep my lawn looking so nice. I tell them that it is all due to being a crusty, fussy old guy who was smart enough to hire The Green Team!

Beyond happy with my lawn after a few months with The Green Team! I had been a customer of a major national lawn care company for 2 years and was still dealing with weeds, unwanted shrubs and uneven grass. I was ready to give up and try to do it myself but decided to try one more time with a company. So glad I did. Every interaction I have had with any employee has been pleasant and informative. The other day I realized I had been barefoot in the yard a few times with no weeds and hard shrubbery poking up. I went out and really took a good look around and couldnt believe how much the entire lawn has improved! Its only been a few months, but I am beyond impressed and relieved! The bare spots are gone, the weeds are eradicated and we can enjoy our yard without shoes again! I do not have enough knowledge to know what different treatment is used compared to the other company or why they could not get it right in 2 years time. But, I do know my yard is beautiful again!!

The aeration machine ran over and damaged two of the valve boxes of my irrigation system. I had to come back home during work hour and got myself all wet and muddy to fix the damaged valve myself. The owner dont even care to give me a call back after more than a month. Now they blame the contractor who installed the system, saying the valves were installed not deep enough. They only told me to flag all the sprinklers. The men who came to service should at least check the work area before start work. Besides, they came to my property by themseles even I strongly disagreed and refused them on the phone. Update on 10/18. I just surprisingly find they added two additional service s that I never asked for. When making appoint through the phone I clearly asked the total price for the Aeration and over-seeding, which is $275. I dont understand why they got so many good reviews.

I moved into a new house that had a lawn that was severely neglected. The yard was taken over by crabgrass, and there were numerous areas where no grass grew at all. I knew it would take a lot of effort to repair the problem, so I visited a home improvement store to discuss getting on a maintenance program in which I would buy and apply bags of fertilizer, weed control, etc. I found out that I could basically spend the same amount of money, with no effort on my part, to hire The Green Team. I am so glad I did! They not only repaired all the issues with my lawn, but my grass looks fabulous now. The Green Team exceeded all my expectations, so I hired them to care for my lawn again this year. Another reason I continued my contract with this company is because the customer service is excellent! Any time I have questions or need lawn advice, they are available to discuss my options. If I didnt have to continuously remind my son to mow the lawn (his chore), Id have no lawn issues at all!

The Green Team is definitely the A-team of lawn care in the Roanoke/Salem area. I tried to shape up, and green my lawn myself last year with little to no effect at all. During the winter, I was informed of the Green Teams options and without hesitation I signed up. Their customer service team is without a doubt hands down willing to help in any way possible. After only two treatments this year, my lawn is looking great already! I cant wait to see it after six treatments. I highly recommend this company to anyone in the area.
