I recently had the pleasure of working with Molly and her crew and I can not say enough positive things about their work, and professionalism throughout the whole process. I would highly recommend them for any landscaping needs you may have.

We got a quote from this company and loved they broke down the different packages and offers yearly or quarterly payment discounts. We chose the gold package and day 1 when they came our property looked 100x better! We are gonna have them do our pool install and Christmas lights next we are that happy with them and the work they do .

Jorge in the field and Mary in the office were awesome! Their attention to detail and availability before, during, and after the irrigation system was installed was superior. I definitely recommend this company for your yard.

I asked for an estimate and was told I would get it in 7 to 10 days, If not he wasnt doing his job. Well its been 14 days and I havent heard anything from them, so I guess you cant do your job.

Quality work with Quality people

I wasn t going to leave this review but I sent an email to Mary at Roanoke Landscapes with feedback and received no response. With all these things sent to management I would have expected some type of reply. I didn t ask them for anything but a reply I feel is warranted and just good service. This project was curb stone around the entire house including driveway. One foot wide beds at the driveway with large planting area in front, 3 foot wide beds on the sides of the home and the back of the home. The 3 feet was set by Roanoke Landscapes to accommodate the plants I was planting. Marble chip would fill in the all the way around at 3 inches deep. This was sold as a permanent installation. 1. The day of installation I was informed a mistake was made and I was asked to pay an additional $1200.00. I saw the mistake for what it was and paid it. They agreed to cover the extra labor cost. But, very poor on their part to even allow this to happen and hit the customer when they show up on day one. 2. The weed barrier didn t completely cover the base of the beds which has resulted in immediate weed growth. There are large gaps. I ve been fighting this with weed killer however if you don t cover the entire base with the weed barrier it s defeating the purpose. 3. On day 2 the installation crew was cut in half which I attribute to them covering the additional labor cost and the two that showed up were not there the previous day and had no idea of all the planning that took place the day prior, I spoke with them and they had no idea. 4. The day 2 crew caused property damage by pulling into the yard and sinking to the axle on one side. I mentioned bringing in dirt to allow for settling but instead they just raked dirt over and put a scrap piece of straw blanket. Within a short amount of time this started to settle and I was forced to fix it. I m partly to blame on their repairs because I just said alright because I wanted it over with. In hindsight I should have insisted on a better repair but I shouldn t have to do that. 5. The 3 foot wide rock beds were not 3 feet wide as contracted because the day 2 crew appeared to trench the curb stone on the inside of the 3 foot mark and not the outside as agreed to on day one. This impacts plants over growing the beds. 6. The marble chips were to be 3 inches deep give or take all the way around yet I have weed barrier showing through in many places. I ve had to move and shift rock to address this as I see it. 7. The curb stone was sold as a permanent installation yet I ve had to fix fallen over curb stones. The appearance of the work as far as curb appeal is good and that s why I give it 2 stars but customers should get what they pay for. This job was over $8000.00 after the extra $1200.00. I might be wrong but I attribute these issues to the mistake made with the cost. I feel corners were cut, attention to detail and what was agreed to was lacking. Labor isn t cheap which they had to cover in the mistake but that wasn t my mistake. My advice is to look over their shoulders and check every little detail and if it s not 100% don t pay until it s right. I should have done that but some of the issues weren t seen until planting started and I put a lot of trust in the process.

Project results exceeded our expectations. Roanoke Landscapes team were professional, skilled and on time. The workmanship and the attention to detail on our project were outstanding. We are very pleased that we chose to work with Roanoke Landscapes on our project.

From the planning process with Randy, planning logistics with Mary and the team who worked on our wall project we were impressed through the whole process with Roanoke Landscapes.

From start to finish, Roanoke Landscaping provided excellent guidance and workmanship. There were no additions to the estimate. They came up with thoughtful solutions to any problems that arose. The work site was cleaned up each day. The company followed up after completion to make sure the work was done to our satisfaction!

I have the highest regard for Roanoke Landscapes for the ethics and abilities of their management, supervisors, administrators and workers who did an excellent job on repairing my retaining wall. They did a beautiful job on time and within the estimated budget. And they were responsive to my request for minor (and not so minor) changes that I requested along the way.

The guys that worked on our retaining wall and sidewalk were very professional and courteous. They did everything we asked of them and the clean up was exceptional. Sal the project manager was on top of the project and was really nice to work with. We are considering another project in the spring.

Job well done. Did what they said, on schedule, and on cost. Sal was terrific to work with. Installed 6-zone irrigation system, 20 plants, and mulch. Top quality. The $15.4K cost was equally spilt between the irrigation and other work.

Roanoke Landscapes recently completed a major project at our home. They added trees, shrubs, and perennials throughout our property, designing several new areas of plantings. We are quite pleased with their work. Though their schedule is quite busy, and they had some issues getting the products needed, they were professional and responsive. The cost of the completed work was in line with their estimates. We would recommend working with this company.

I had 6 Skip Laurels planted in Nov of 2021. They ended up having a nursery fungus and never really took off. I contacted their office on numerous occasions, but Ive mostly been ignored. My neighbors had the same shrubs put in by a different landscaping company, 9 months after mine and they are already larger and greener. I would shop elsewhere, as their customer service is poor.

We have been using Roanoke Landscapes for years at the storage facilities and commercial properties we manage. They do a fantastic job, are reasonably priced and we never have to get on them to keep up with their contract. I wish all commercial contractors were as reliable.

Weve used Roanoke landscapes for 2 job and both times the service has been above and beyond what we expected. They put in a stepping stone walkway and then we hired them to put a drainage system in as our yard floods terribly. Both times they showed up when they said they would and complete both jobs in a timely fashion. Dennis C. is an amazing project manager and explained everything that the each job required so we would know what to expect. Their pricing is exceptionally reasonable as well, we shopped around quite a bit before making a decision and they came in at a lower quote than most other companies. Both Dennis and the crew that completed the jobs were extremely friendly and treated our property as if it were their own. I highly recommend Roanoke Landscapes for any of your outdoor projects.

We used Roanoke Landscapes to build a retaining wall and sod an area which had been heavily eroded. The end result is beautiful! The work was done efficiently and within the established timetable. We highly recommend this company and look forward to using them again ourselves for other projects.

Roanoke Landscapes did a great job on running four drain lines underground from the edge of my home to about 25 yards away. They promptly scheduled the work (which is rare), and communicated the schedule well (even rarer). The work was professional and cleaned up well.

I have used Roanoke Landscape s services for several small projects since early 2018. I have found all of my contacts with their employees to be more than satisfactory. My favorite projects involved landscaping design that involved using deer resistant plants using texture and color with varying seasonal interest. Mark Burton was my design consultant. He worked with the landscape crew to implement a very pleasing result that has been easy for me to maintain. At times weather was a deterrent and occasionally some plants didn t thrive ( Plants have a replacement guarantee ), but I always felt I was given excellent service from beginning to end of project.

I wanted to add flower beds around my house to brighten up my yard a little bit. Roanoke landscapes was very knowledgeable and professional about what would look good and last. They did an awesome job picking out plants and making the beds. Would definitely use again.

Horrible service when they need to replace plants under their warranty. Had to wait 3 months to replace 8 plants and only took them 1 hour to replace once they did show up. This also took many calls with them and they wouldnt even schedule a time just told us a month. So it was obvious that this was not important to them. The only thing they appear to care about and stay on top of is new business and jobs they are actually getting paid for. Their lack of response to a simple callback was very disappointing.

We had put off having a irrigation system because we wanted a system that would cover our entire yard AND not leave any bare spots. Nothing worse than having a beautiful yard except for those dry fringe areas along the driveway or sidewalk. I would ONLY recommend Roanoke Landscape for your new system. The crew was very courteous and thorough. There is an old saying - you get what you pay for . With Roanoke Landscaping, you get more than you expect. We cannot recommend them enough!

Randy and his team are an excellent company to do business with. Randy is thoughtful and detailed when helping a homeowner think through options to improve their landscape. When we purchased our home on the lake we wanted to create a fire pit and hot tub area with a new patio that would integrate the two. Randy s crew are extremely skilled artisans who take stone work and stone cutting to an entirely new level. Now we have a beautiful outdoor area that looks onto the lake and the mountain at Smith Mountain Lake. I chose Roanoke Landscaping over other proposals not because of cost but because I saw the quality of their work at other homes first and the decision was easy. Highly recommend this company.

After many years of manual lawn watering, we finally decided to have an automated irrigation system installed. After researching companies and reading reviews, we contacted Randy and Mary of Roanoke Landscapes and are very pleased we did. Randy literally walked us through our options to ensure all areas of our front and back lawn would be covered by the sprinkler system. The crew manager was very knowledgeable and his crew members exceptional during the installation. This is hard manual labor, but it was obvious they were experienced and highly skilled at getting the job done efficiently. The crew arrived each day as scheduled, worked well together, and cleaned the job site at the end of each day. Much appreciated. At the close of the project, Randy and his project manager were there to provide instructions on the operating system. They returned to winterize the system and will be back to get us set up this spring. We look forward to a beautiful lawn this coming year.

Weve known the owners at Roanoke landscapes for several years now. Weve consulted them for projects and received accurate and helpful information. Randy and Ethan are friendly and easy to deal with.

Our yard is kept neat looking from the regular mowing, blowing and trimming. The reason for the 4-star instead of 5 is the flowers. The men who did them this year had no imagination or skill in arranging them. i do not like orange so they put in orange flowers across the front yard. I told them to use pink or a combination of pink, purple, white, even some yellow. I wanted vinca which I put the order in early for. I finally told them to just leave them. $400 is a lot of money when you arent satisfied. I look across at Murdens front flowers and they are so lovely.

Always reliable, on time, on budget and super friendly. I ve had everything from landscaping, to maintenance, cleanup and hardscaping. I have yet to be disappointed in any of it. These guys are great and highly recommended!

I have used Roanoke Landscapes for several projects. Randy and his crew have always exceeded my expectation. The crew leaves the job site tidy and organized. I know Randy will listen to my ideas and help me bring those visions to reality. I cant give enough stars to this company.

Roanoke Landscapes has completed five assignments for us over a period of three years, including a retaining wall, a driveway, paving a patio with ceramic tile, and supplying and planting shrubs. The quality of work in every case has been outstanding. They employ a skilled, experienced crew, and every project has been personally supervised by one of the owners, who has had a creative solution to every challenge the projects have presented. An added bonus is that Mary in the office is always easy to contact, responsive, and pleasant to deal with. They are not the cheapest landscape company, and their backlog of work postponed the start of some projects, but the price is justified by high quality work, and the backlog is presumably due to strong demand for their services. I highly recommend them.

For the past 3 years I have hired ROANOKE Landscapes for their Spring Cleanup service. Each year they do a great job!

We had such a great experience with Roanoke Landscapes. We felt like they valued us as customers from the beginning. They were the first company to respond to us after significant flooding and mudslide. They were also more communicative than the other landscape companies that we spoke with. I was impressed with the amount of work and research that went into the project proposal and estimate. We were given several options for the project that we decided to proceed with (repairing a hill after a mudslide) and chose what we wanted most. The work crew was diligent and hard working. They did a great job executing the plan that we had decided on. We will choose Roanoke Landscape again in the future!
