One Earth Landscapes in Roanoke

Just because we rent, does not mean that our lawn and our requests does not matter. I live on the corner of a row of townhouses, and stuff always gets missed around my lawn. I understand that it can be hard to get everything as some of my neighbors have temporary fences, however, I dont have anything in my section of the back yard. I have asked countless times after seeing some of the crew to please make sure to get everything in that corner section as there are patches in the ground that always gets missed. For some reason, the message never gets relayed to the weed eater man as it was still missed for the fourth time this season today. I work on a landscaping crew and something like this would NEVER slide in my company. All I ask is to make my lawn look good as the lawn maintenance is a part of my rent. It sucks having to come home after working hard and mowing yards all day and making them look nice to pay someone to do a half finished job for my lawn.

Service is personalized, products are superior, and outcomes on site are professional, aesthetic and natural. Estimates are reasonable. Work is performed on schedule. I have worked with One Earth Landscapes for several years and always been very pleased.

I dropped a riding lawn mower off over a year ago for them to work on and have called multiple times and nobody answers. I have drive. By on the weekend when I am off work to see if it is still there and there is no sign of it. Very unprofessional imo

We have no idea when they are coming to mow our lawn & 9/10 they skip our lawn. It s very frustrating when we walk out all our neighbors lawn is mowed except ours.

One Earth Landscapes and Mulch did an amazing job last year transforming our yard. I received an estimate by email ahead of time to accept. They sent a crew soon after to begin work. They blew leaves, picked up sticks, edged all of our gardens, and put down mulch. It looked beautiful! The workmen were quick and professional! We were so pleased with their work that we are getting them to come back this year too! I highly recommend One Earth.

Very dishonest company. Last year we used them for leaf removal and mulch services. They quoted us $50 for leaf removal and 5 yards of dyed brown double shredded hardwood for $37 a yard. I guess they somehow lost record that they had done business with us last year, and so they came by to give us another quote for this year. Shockingly, they said we would need 8.5 yards and with the cheaper natural non-dyed hardwood they quoted $76 a yard! After we showed them last years quote they magically realized we would only need 5 yards again this year!!! Well now we know they re shady and dishonest. Called Mulch n more and they quoted $100 for all 5 yards. Haha yeah, don t use this company guys; they re crooked...

We ve been getting a truckload of mulch for our yard from here for the past 3 years. Excellent customer service and the lady in the shop was extremely friendly. It was so enjoyable socializing with another human during quarantine!

We called the company to have them come out and clean the leaves from our yard. The woman on the phone told us it would be 125$ deposit and never offered an estimate even after having a gentleman come out to look at our yard. We clearly had no clue on what pricing is/would be. When the guys came to do our yard, they did a decent job but once we received the invoice we were charged an additional 525$. This may seem normal or appropriate to someone who has had this service completed before but we felt it was very high and UNEXPECTED. When I called to question it, the owner was rude to me and said it s not my responsibility to offer an estimate . He was aggressive and defensive instead of taking ownership that when you come to do non- cookie cutter yard, you should automatically offer a rough estimate. I felt very taken advantage of. He used the comparison that if I took my car in for a service and they estimated a price and then got there and realized it needed more work, I would be responsible for paying for the service. Any car company I have ever used would call and give me a quote if the job is more than initially expected and I felt they should have offered a quote once they realize our yard is large and full of leaves. Very poor customer service and I would not recommend without stating you want a quote. The work itself was fine (how do you mess up raking/blowing leaves?)

Stephen Platt is a manager there and gave a 5 star rating. Says alot about your company when you have to get your own employees to give you good ratings instead of actual customers. Just a really class-less company. Save your time and money. I would recommend US Lawns or Varsity Landscaping. Stay far away from this company. Very Unprofessional!!!!

I give this company a 1 star!! When I started the service it seemed like a good fit for me. However the tide quickly changed, when I was not able to get someone out to cut my grass. After calling the office and broken promises later.. my grass had not been cut and no follow phone calls! I would not recommend this company!

Same day delivery. Delivered to two locations on my property on same load. Friendly, courteous, locally owned.

We had used One Earth Landscapes for our lawn maintenance for years with no problem until this year. At the start of the season, they didnt show up. So, as the grass began to get longer, I placed several calls and emails over the course of a week, none of which were returned. The following week, I was able to get in touch with them, and was told that both of their crew leaders had taken a vacation without telling anybody so thats why nobody called me. I was informed that they would get to our lawn soon. Over the next several weeks, the pattern of nobody showing up, me calling until i finally reached somebody, being told they would be out in a few days, and then nobody showing up would continue. This went on for about a month. I was trying to be patient as I knew the significant amount of rain had to be impacting them, but when it got to the point that I was told the reason they hadnt done my yard was that I never returned their calls, followed a few days later by simply being hung up on, I moved on. I never had a problem with the crew that did the work, as I said, they did a great job for several years. But, as they made it clear they no longer cared about my business I found somebody who will actually show up and do the work. It may also be important to note that two of their 5 star reviews are from people who run or own the company, one of whom has also posted a review of a another lawn service indicating that it is terrible (which suggests they either got somebody else to do their own lawn, or are making up negative comments about their competition. Either way, I suggest caution.)

If more than 5 stars were an option I would give more - top quality workmanship, products, prices and service - thanks for a great job at my house! Would highly recommend One Earth Landscapes!

Love this place , awesome staff , plants are beautiful, from hanging plants to perennials. I had just started trying to grow ,and beautify my yard , and the lady taught me how to take care of the rose bushes , and recognize whst a healthy bush looks like even before it gets buds . I love this place so much & there sales are incredible, as well as there every day prices. I will always be a loyal customer.

This company just lost my business.. took time out of my day to meet with the company and I call because they are 20 minutes late.. turns out they had written the wrong address and say they will call me back.. no big deal.. I get a call back not 2 min later that the person I was supposed to meet with can t come because they are stuck at about her meeting.. I shouldn t have had to call you to find that out! How about a little professionalism .. you will never get my business again

Tony made my house look great, so it could sell. They are very prompt.

These folks are excellent. I took an old chainsaw in for a tune-up and also dropped off 5 blades to be sharpened. The service was completed in a few short days and I received an email and a phone call that my chainsaw could be picked up. It turns out that one of my blades was already sharp so they took that off of the invoice and put the chainsaw in my trunk for me since I was wearing a suit. I will absolutely return to them for my landscaping needs in spring. Thanks, One Earth!

If you go anywhere else in Roanoke for your outdoor needs, 2 words EPIC FAIL! One earth is awesome. From there people to there products Grade top of the line!

I think the guy helping me was the owner. He was really rude and didnt know how to explain things. He was upset and condescending. I will avoid this place.

I traveled several hundred miles to buy two used green house. The owner wanted me to pay in advance, I did not, thank god because he never showed up at our scheduled meeting time & would not pick up his phone. I had previously purchased two green houses from him, he did not show up for the meeting then His foreman Ben did & was a good guy.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY!!!! I highly recommend that you dont make the same mistake I did when I chose them for my landscaping needs. We ordered soil and mulch from them to redo our landscaping. The soils quality was TERRIBLE. There is no way it was filtered with the amount of roots and rocks in it. They were scheduled to deliver it on Saturday morning. It was to be dumped on a tarp, in our driveway. Instead we came home to a mound of dirt dump in the middle of the road, in front of our House FRIDAY night. When I called to ask if this was our order they told me it was NOT and that it must be someone elses! I called again to clarify that again it wasnt our order and they again told us ours is to be delivered the next day and they dont know where or whose dirt that is in front on my house. My husband then had to move that dirt and place in in the back yard at the end of our lot because needed to get off the road and I didnt want to use it for our garden beds due to the quality. Then Saturday roles around and they say to us that that was our order and refused to work with us on getting more delivered or making it right with us on a refund, even though it was their mess up. Ive called them over 10+ times to speak to tony (the owner), stopped in 3 times, and every time they just say he will call you. Yea, well tony has yet to call me and its been over 3 weeks of this going on!!! Pretty bad when even his employees continuously appologoze for him and talk poorly about his managing and lack of customer satisfaction! UNPROFESSIONAL doesnt even begin to explain how I feel about the owner and how he is ignoring us over an error that was his businesses fault!!!!!!! Save your self the hassle that our family went through dealing with this business, and chose another business for your landscaping needs!!!!!
