I am extremely disappointed with the unprofessional, disorganized service we received at Garner's for a warranty repair on our chainsaw. The person we spoke to on the phone originally was very kind, but from the moment we walked in, the gentleman at the service counter glared at us and treated us as if we were the biggest inconveniences ever before we said a word and despite us arriving well before closing. He then raked us over the coals for not having our chainsaw registered. When he asked us what was wrong with it and we answered, he talked down to us and heavily implied we must have treated it poorly and damaged it, despite the fact that he hadn't looked at it beyond the exterior. When we finally heard from them through a few phone calls a week or two later, one person said it was covered by warranty but another said it wasn't. They also told us over the phone what the price would be only for it to go up by $20 when we picked it up the next day. They said they will call us to let us know when we can pick up a reimbursement check for warranty after they get paid by the warranty company. I don't expect we will ever get that call. Not to mention the fact that they have at least 20 different signs listing single policies scattered all around the service desk. It's nearly impossible to take them all in to know if you have adhered to their policies especially since they never tell you anything up front. My favorite one-two punches are these two signs: 1) one that says they will only provide customers with service estimates if the customer requests one, otherwise repairs will be made and you'll be billed and then 2) if you don't pick up items within a certain number of days, they will be resold. Almost like they hope you can't pay so they can resell what they've fixed. I will never set foot in this place again. I would give zero stars if it were possible.

Took my pressure washer to get fixed. They didn’t do anything to fix it and I was charged $50. Wouldn’t recommend taking your equipment here because they’ll just charge you money without doing anything to fix the problem.

I will admit I went to Lowe's before I went here. I pondered around in the lawn and garden inside Lowe's for about 30 minutes and no one bothered to try to help me so i left. I was talking to someone in the parking lot and they recommended me to check this place out so on my way i went. As soon as i walked into the door i was greeted with a hello, how are you ? If we can help you with anything please let us know. I had questions and i got answers. The staff went above and beyond and know every product they sell like the back of their hand. It is so nice to walk into a place of business and feel welcomed. I will say everyone if your looking for a piece of lawn equipment don't bother with Lowe's or other box stores. These folks will hook you up and its amazing at the selection they have. Thank you Garner's for being a top notch business i will def be back. (PS) I love my new weed eater !!!
Just made a special stop off the interstate traveling from NC to VA as I need a new chainsaw. I did my homework and saw that they carried both Stihl and Husqvarna and had good reviews. I’m having trouble deciding between a MS362 and 562xp. I walked in and even though there were 5 or 6 employees and only one other customer no one bothered to greet me or ask if I needed assistance. I walked around and looked at the selection of saws thinking that eventually someone would offer assistance...not so much. I then proceeded to the counter where another customer had come in and was getting assistance. I stood there and watched as multiple employees walked by and and to and from the counter and still not even an attempt to help. After literally standing and staring aimlessly for around 5 mins I just shook my head, shrugged my shoulders and headed to the door and still not a single attempt to say anything. I guess I will find a dealer in VA tomorrow to spend 700+ dollars on a saw with. I’m not goning to beg someone to sell me something! Apparently this place likes to just keep all their equipment to look at as they sure don’t try to sell. Don’t waste your time, just keep driving. Don’t make the mistake I

Took mower there twice to get fixed took 4 weeks first time came home mowed same thing happened not fixed. Took in 2nd time took 3 weeks bring home same thing not fixed plus said a new battery was needed which was a lie. Also its under warrenty 3 years and never turned into Ariens which I contacted 3 times and they asked why it wasnt turned into them.Company just wants your money took to a local back yard fixer fixed in 3 hours and mowing great save your money and time go somewhere else you will thank me

I couldn t happier with this place. First I bought a BobCat mower which has been bulletproof since I bought it. Just brought in my 9 year old stihl blower because it wasn t performing like it used to. They got it fixed, got me a tune-up kit, and I was out of there in 10 minutes and under $30. Top notch people.
