UPDATE TO THE OWNERS RESPONSE- Don’t lie about the tipping text that you send out. Plus don’t say that you don’t know who I am- I unfortunately grabbed your spring special that included the fert, aeration, and power raking. The machine that power rakes is lighter than a push mower. And they can easily run with it as seen in the video that I have of them doing it. I am happy to give you the video of your employee running behind it. Would you like to see it?? But in order for you to see it- that would require for you to respond back to me. Because as of now you have not. As soon as I paid reluctantly I texted you and mentioned there was an issue. And you ghosted me- If you charge someone to do a service then provide that service with integrity. Bottom line!! ORIGINAL REVIEW- These guys came out to power rake and the guy behind the machine was running behind it as fast as he could push it. They didn’t allow the machine to do the job- I couldn’t get ahold of the owner once they had my money I was IGNORED… I had to re hire someone else come out to actually do the job that I needed done. I let it go even though I was burned- but a week later I get an automated message asking for a TIP for the crew that came by. That was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Because they didn’t do the job in the first place- I couldn’t get ahold of anyone- and now they are asking for more money for the job they didn’t do? Beware- don’t use these guys because they must be so busy they don’t care about doing what’s right.
I first tried to use their request for a bid function, no return call as stated. I called and was able to make an appointment for the next evening on a Friday, no show and no call. I called again Monday and was told they had an equipment issue and they made an appointment for the following Saturday as that would give them plenty of time. Again, no show no call on Saturday. Wasted too much of my time waiting on them because they could not give the common courtesy of a call to let me know.
Absolutely overpriced for the service provided. I have a fairly large lawn and they completed my power raking service fast which usually I'd love. However, they did such a poor job cleaning up the grass and hauling off we had to go rake the lawn ourselves AFTER they left. NOT WORTH THE $265 DOLLARS. Spend your money elsewhere.
He saved the day, after voles ripped through our yard, he came and spent two hours power raking and cleaning it all up. Super amazing job and stays to make sure the job gets done even if it is bigger then he expected. I would highly recommend him and his service, and will be sharing his contact info with my entire neighborhood. Our grass already looks better and I can't thank him enough. I'll be a return customer for sure.
I called on a Thursday to get a bid on power raking and aeration- I described my yard and we sort of guessed the size. I told Dan I would call him back when I had made my decision. I called back Friday morning, scheduled my service for that evening at 5:30. Dan showed up on time, did a great job and gave me great yard advice too! I will definitely be using them again! Thanks Dan and crew!
I set up an appointment online for 3 days out. The automated email stated that I would receive confirmation of my appointment within 24 hours. Three days passed without being contacted and they didn't show for my appointment. I have double-checked that I provided the right phone number, and obviously my email was correct. Maybe they are out of business?
During the initial phone call, my appointment for aeration and fertilization was made for the following Sunday morning as their schedule was busy, I was fine with the appointment. Later in the week I received a text stating that they are changing my appointment to Sat without a phone call or asking if that would be ok? I told them that I would be away in the morning, but ok'd them to come and I'd pay as soon as I got home and saw that it was complete. I verified the Venmo and was expecting them on Sat. When I returned home Sat afternoon, the services had not been completed. I waited all day Sunday and still a no-show. I text Sunday afternoon and didn't get a reply. Monday afternoon I received a text saying "who is this?". What is really disappointing is they said "unlike other companies, we'll show up and do the work". Not only did they no-call/no-show, they had no idea who they were talking to after multiple texts back and forth before the day of appointment. Certainly a company with zero integrity!
I wish I would have seen these recent reviews before calling. I had the EXACT same situation as one of the other reviewers. I got told they would be there to aerate my lawn sometime after 5. They showed up at 9:30 at night, after dark. I was a little skeptical they could get the job done in the dark but pulled the trigger. Today I went to examine my lawn, and they missed roughly half my lawn! The problem area that I called them for in the first place. I called them back the next day and claimed they did the the whole lawn. It is clearly evident they did not. They refused to come fix it and now won't answer my calls. I feel ripped off and am very disappointed in all matters of service from "Utah Lawn Aeration". They are a complete SCAM, stay away.

I just had my lawn power raked to prep for new drought tolerant lawn seed. These guys were amazing. Fast, professional and did a great job. Highly recommend them.
Called to request power raking and Dan was able to get to us the same day! The crew did a great job with a mess of a lawn and the cleanup was awesome!

Had appointment set for today even confirmed Tuesday night thru text that they would be coming today they said yes just make sure the gate is unlocked I told him that my daughter would be home to manage the dog so they could work well as most of the other reviews have stated they did not show up so I texted them to see when they were coming at 3:30 pm they responded at 8 pm telling me they are not sure how they missed me they had me on the schedule for last Wednesday even after I texted them yesterday to confirm, they told me they would be here Friday at 545 pm fat chance I had them cancel that sounds like par for the course with these guys!! Save your self the headache call someone else to do your job.
Other negative reviews appear to be accurate. I had an appointment to aerate between 5-8p. I got ghosted, and have still not heard back. Ill update the review if they can make this right, but from what others are saying Im not holding my breath.

I had Utah Lawn out earlier in the week. They had a package for power rake (with clean up and haul away), aeration and fertilization. They were able to work me in earlier than i thought, and did an amazing job. Will definitely be using them in the future.
I called them 2 days ago and requested a call back. Havent heard anything. I assume theyre out of business.
Very pleased with their work! Arrived as expected and their pricing is good. They took time to let me know what they were going to do and were very professional. They even went over my lawn extra. It looks great!
I am disappointed in this company and wish the owner would have tried to make it right when given the opportunity, but hopefully he and his sons and other employees will do better with future customers. I would just recommend checking your grass to see if you are satisfied before they leave.

I had a lot of dead grass this spring and they did a great job getting all of it out of my lawn. Nice and professional.
I live in North Salt lake, and had our lawn not only aerated, but fertilized and power-raked. A young man sold us the package for 205$. They showed up to work on our lawn in less than half an hour (like the seller said) and got right to work. They poweraked, aerated, and fertilized - in the hail! Yet they didn t miss a spot. If Utah Lawn Aeration ever comes to your door, give it a yes! Highly recommend it!

Set up an appointment and no call/no show. I called and had them reschedule it. No call/no show for the second appointment as well. If you dont want the work or are too busy for it then say so. Dont waste a week of my time.
His price was really reasonable / he did a great job. I will also probably use his window washing service.
Really great service! Very flexible scheduling, and great price. Out of so many places that wouldnt return calls or even answer this experience was very refreshing.
I have had Dan do an Aeration for us at least once a year for the last 3 or so years. Everytime he has been really easy to work with and does a good job. He tries to get everywhere as best as possible and even went over some dry areas extra. Make sure you give your lawn a good watering the night before to allow Dan to do his best. The price is fair and Ive never been disappointed.
Dans crew was awesome. They power raked, aerated, and fertilized and after they were done with all the work my yard was cleaner than when they started. They hauled off a half dozen bags full of dead thatch from my lawn and the guys were very polite. Thank you Dan and Utah Lawn Aeration for a job very well done!!! Definitely have you guys saved in my phone for next year!!!

Had called and set up an appointment for Tuesday between 8am-noon. He told me write a check and leave it under the door mat and they will be there. I called and texted Tuesday morning about 8:30 to verify the appointment. He never called or texted back. Came home after work and they never came. Still havent contacted me back. Update: Still no call back. Hasnt replied to my voicemail, or text message either.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Scheduled an appointment with this guy and he rescheduled twice and then blew me off!!!
Showed up 4 hours late for the scheduled appointment. Took out my mailbox with their trailer and wont fix it. The guy says he takes out a lot of mailboxes with his trailer. We wont be using them again.
Looks to me like these guys are writing their own reviews. I had two of these clowns show up at my door and offer to aerate my lawn. They did that and we paid them. Then they offered to fix some of our basement window screens that had holes in them. They took the screens and never came back. I called and called. When they finally did answer they would tell me they were on their way out and then they never came. I offered to come get them and they refused to tell me where they were. I even went out to the guys house and pounded on the door. I finally got the owner on the phone. Spencer Talbutt and he came out. Measured the windows and blamed everything on his employee that for some reason he refused to fire. Here we are 8 months later and I still dont have my screens. What I do have is a basement full of bugs. These guys are a bunch of clowns who have no idea how to run a business.
