Highland Landscaping LLC in Rio Rancho

My husband and I decided to do our back yard from total grass removal (due to high water rates) and go with zero landscaping. I went with Andy. I told him what I wanted and I am so happy with my yard. He has a great crew and they did a fantastic job. They are reliable and friendly. Always showed up on time. Highly recommended if you want a good job.

We had a huge landscape dilemma which consisted of removing concrete and a block flower bed, along with old wood stairs, chain railing and pavers which were on a slope. Andy offered wonderful suggestions, types of materials and came out 3 times to help us get a plan in place. He was so knowledgeable, nice, patient and awesome to work with. He reused the block from the planter for the retaining wall on the slope. His suggestions for flagstone and gravel colors were fantastic. His crew, Geraldo and Nicholas were outstanding and very knowledgeable and helpful. They were always on time and left everything very neat. Geraldo always asked me about placement of plants, the walkway and how the curve of the planters should be. I cannot say enough great things about Andy and his crew. Thank you for making our yard beautiful.

Andy did a 10K plus dollar job landscaping front/back yard. But I would not use him for irrigation or anything else. The water pressure is way too high here and he did not allow for that using pressure regulators. The system did not hold up very long at all. For the last few years have had to hand water everything which is not enough for the trees. One of the trees he planted died immediately. We did tell him shortly after he planted but he does not stand by his work. His workers did not put enough soil compost to support those trees as well. We have had to redo everything he did. We dug up the dead tree and will plant another in its place. Also having just sprinklers redo his drip system. Any knowledgeable landscaper would have known this would not have held up. Or he just didn't care and finished the job on the cheap. On some of the planters on top of the yard he used our own bagged soil. Which was not enough and nothing would grow there. I actually hauled a few yards of compost from solutions and finished the job. He did not use enough soil except for the area in the front. The larger gravel area in back was too thin and was never at the two inch level as stated in the contract. Many bare spots. It was a large project and every element of it got skimmed over.

Contracted Andy to build a wall around our courtyard. He had some outstanding suggestions. He and his team showed up when scheduled, and worked full days. At the end of each day they went above and beyond to make sure the yard was all closed up so my dogs could be turned out. The end result was even better than we could have imagined. No hidden surprises in fees or costs. If I could give him 6 stars I would. Thank you.

I have had Andy do several different projects (retaining walls, concrete work, landscaping, waterfall, etc) for me for over 5 years. He is always responsive to my requests and easy to work with. He is professional and completes excellent work!

Our family has worked with Andy for two years now... We bought a new home and had a lot of work to do! Andy worked with us to create EXACTLY what we wanted, provided a reasonable quote, and was able to start work quickly. His team was always prompt and friendly... Andy always came by and checked in. Everyone who worked on our property was detail-oriented and came to our door often to ask if we like the angle or placement of a plant/boulder. Being new to desert living, the irrigation system had a learning curve, but Andy spent quite a bit of time teaching us the system, showing us where the lines ran, and teaching us how to make new lines. Communication (calling, texting, emailing) with Andy is always quick! We will continue to use Highland Landscaping!

Andy redid the landscaping in our backyard. It looks great! Very reliable; affordable and on time. He also worked on our sprinkler system. Did an excellent of trimming and fertilizing the bushes/trees in the back yard. He does excellent work. I definitely recommend his services!

We have been using Andy Ngugen at Highland Landscaping in Rio Rancho NM ever since we moved here from the midwest 3 years ago. He had helped the previous owner with desiging the retaining wall, landscaping and selecting all the plantings, so we were only too happy to have his assistance with our projects as they came up. We started to make improvements by having him design and construct a pergula, remove a small grass area and put in stone, improve our driveway, do a yearly trimming of all the vegetation and make repairs in our zeriiscaping system as needed. We are so happy with everything that he has done. He comes over and gives an esimate of the work involved, he is always on time when he says he will be there, the place is spotless after the jobs are completed and he and his crew are friendly and easy to be with.
