TruGreen Lawn Care in Richmond

I talked with Jean Paul about the potential of TruGreen treating my lawn. After obtaining pricing info, I told him I would contact him in three days. He called me twice later that day and twice the next day even though I asked him to stop calling. He cost TruGreen a potential customer. Some people dont know what NO means.

Rick is very pleasant he did me a good job. He notified me ahead of time which I really appreciate cuz I have a Tom Kitty that I have to get in. Have a blessed day

Bryan was pleasant and professional and answered my questions. He explained what types of plantings he planned to treat with horticultural oil and which he would not treat. Very helpful to hear this.

All is good. Lawn is ok. I have some bare spots that need to be over seeded.

I called TruGreen looking to have aeration seeding and fertilization this year. I was very specific as to what I needed and of course they promised the World said they could do it. No problem said that they would follow the schedule that I needed. Explain to me that they have an app, that will remind me about appointments and where I can reschedule they failed to make it to the first schedule date. They rescheduled on the second scheduled date for my first service they could not make it. They rescheduled it again and I told them that I would be canceling my service. If they didn t get somebody out that day and amazingly enough, they got somebody out that day , so I thought was good in order to do this though we had to talk to the service manager and the service manager is the one that suggested the dates for my second service I agreed it should be after Halloween because I was putting up Halloween decorations immediately following the first service we set it for November 3 and a week later I m getting notices about appointments in October. I go on their app I cancel the appointment I call and speak to somebody they say yes there s notes in the system. It specifically says not show up until this date they apologize they rescheduled For anytime after November 1 promised me the world couple days goes by I get another notice that they re about to come again two weeks before they should we go through the whole thing again they verify that the note are there they explained that the system won t let them put the date in the way it was before Not that they are Halloween decorations up and it seems like everything is good two days before Halloween. I get a notification that they re coming the day before Halloween I called cancel it try to reschedule for at least the day after Halloween. I m told it except for November 2 but I m driving up to my home and there s a true green truck sitting on the road in front of my house on October 30 and ultimately if I do not move the decorations I will have to wait until next fall for seeding and aeration. I decided to cancel service and demand refund of the 1 year prepaid amount, I was told they do not do refunds until I explained that I prepaid and I expect to pay for the one service they actually performed and insist the remaining prepaid amount be refunded, they had it all over a month at this point and rescheduled service twice for the 1st service and continued to change the date on the second appointment. I spent more time and effort rescheduling than it would be to just seed myself and rent an aeration machine. The reason to hire a company is to do less work, but it now takes 14 days to get the money I prepaid back. .. Not impressed will never use or recommend, poor management and to much reliance on flawed app, no power to managers.

We had our first TruGreen visit today switching from a competitor. Kevin L. did a great job. He walked my treatment area with me and we discussed grass height, seeding, weeds vs. grasses, watering, etc. He answered all my questions and Im happy to have Kevin L. treat our yard going forward! Update July 2024 - I ve switched back to Virginia Green. My yard has more weeds and doesn t look as healthy. Two other items to be aware of. The following items didnt effect my decision to leave TruGreen but be on the lookout for a double charge that includes grub service and for me TruGreen spreads the chemicals with a motorized spreader that leaves tracks in your grass. Looks like a 4 wheeler went around your yard. I added photos as a comparison. The TruGreen staff were always very pleasant to speak with.

The two men were outstanding in their respective efforts to aerate my lawn. They should be commended for their work. Now with a little rain my lawn will be covered with new grass. Thank you

These guys always come through. The basically saved my lawn from total destruction due to poor maintenance from the previous owner of my house. They are always willing to give advice as well as doing the work. Im a customer for life.

Bryan K knows trees and shrubs and bugs. He can tell you what bugs are on your hedges and shrubs and how to keep them at bay and to limit any damage to them. I hope it helps with any predators coming into my yard searching for bugs. Bryan K knows his stuff. Let me add, Bryan is top tier.

My lawn looks worse now than it did when I started with these people. They are not treating my lawn. Yesterday, Calvin was supposed to treat my lawn. My security cameras show that he never treated my lawn. He was parked in front of the house for 10 minutes and then left. He left a large wet spot on the road, though. I called customer service, and they told me Norman, the manager, would call me back. I never heard from Norman. Im canceling my service, but they wont give me a full refund. Do yourself a favor and pick a different company.

Started my experience with TruGreen Lawn Care today,2/29/2024. My specialist, Kevin L., was very professional. He explained in depth what was being done. If the lawn preforms with same enthusiasm as Kevin L. showed, we all will be satisfied.

They kept me advised by text and in the app at every stage. Arrived when they said. Good job of applying lawn fertilizer and weed control. Respectful of my property and shrubs which they also fertilized and sprayed for bugs and diseases with horticultural oil.Gave me a list of written observations of lawn and shrubs including suggestions for self care. These were very helpful. A little bit pricey but I have not done a comparison because I am fully satisfied with their service and have been a customer for more than 5 years. All of their personnel are very friendly and professional. On line - rep in Chat was very helpful in selecting in the appropriate shrubs and Bush maintenance plan and even offered a discount for full years bush and shrubs plan. I just added 2 small trees in containers on my front porch. To make sure they were treated, I called customer service. They texted the technician to advise him to treat them. He came to the door to tell me he was going to treat them. Great customer service.

He said that it takes time, at least a full year to see the results of True Greens work. We walked around the yard and he explained what I was concerned about. No one had done that before. Good services but not good communications

Thank you for treating my ornamental azaleas for insect pests. I believe they have LACE insects. They are sticky bugs that got on my skin & clothes when trimming the shrubs. You are right about needing nutrients. I believe these insects suck chlorophyll from the plants. Even though they bloomed beautifully this spring, I can tell they are suffering.I plan on transplanting some of my plants to the other side of the porch and then mulch the bed. I feel they are too crowded. Thank you so much for all you are doing.

William minter 13 July 2023, about 90 degrees out. Walked around yard with William. I pointed out concerns with yard. He diagnosed many of the questionable areas in yard and said that what he is going to spray on yard will take care of those weeds currently growing but that I should not be surprised if they come again. He also told me that I have moles in yard and how to take care of them, and that I should attack problem quickly. We also talked about mowing the yard in various directions and that I need to washout and clean the blade housing unit after each use.

I have been a client since 2021 which included The Complete Lawn Care Service... They constantly push you to use their phone app. but when you use it, its worthless. It tells you that you can see your schedule and make changes to it. YOU CAN NOT EVEN SEE YOUR SCHEDULE. When speaking with customer service and navigating those obnoxious voice prompts for 8 minutes to get a live body that drops you, just pisses me off. So, I get back on the phone again for another 9 minute wait, to have then tell me that the app does not give you your schedule that is upcoming. They just call you when they feel like it to say they are coming in a couple of days. Not very service oriented I would say. You may want the survey at the end of the call to have a little more substance to the questions. You know what is sad, all of the customer service staff agreed with me that the app is worthless and not at all user friendly. The other sad item is even when you have that LIVE body, they dont know when my next service is. Pretty sad....Can you spell CANCELED? Please take off the 1 star I HAD to give you in order to post

My wife and i bought a new home and hired TruGreen to help get rid of the ivy and the weeds, which currently cover 98% of the yard. William Minter came out today and helped. He was extremely professional and gave us tips on how to (eventually) grow grass. Its going to be a beast of a project, but I have faith that TruGreen can help.

TruGreen is pretty good. I have 27 irrigation heads and they aerated my lawn with out telling me they were coming , but they didnt damage any heads..... Thats professional

A TrueGreen van towing yard equipment nearly sideswiped my car! I honked on my horn and they didn t even slow down. If I hadn t slammed on my brakes they would have hit me. If their service is anything like their driving, aggressive and unprofessional, I would stay far away from this company.
