He started working in the landscape industry as a teenager and studied landscape design, construction, and management at Ricks College (Go Vikings). He now has assembled the greatest (and most fun) collection of people to help his clients create the outdoor living space that they dream of. Merrill Quality Landscapes was established in 1981. After being a customer for about 20 years, I called for service on June 17, 2024. I did not have any service call, so I called about June 26 and asked to have a manager call me. No reply. No service call. On July 2, I called and informed them that if they did not want me as a customer, to please return the funds I had PRE-PAID for service. On that date, I also sent them an email expressing my concerns. My rating of them is obviously in the toilet.
Our car was stuck on the street after the 2022 blizzard and resulting snow plows. They got it out shortly after calling. It took a lot of shoveling and 2 people pushing, but they succeeded professionally. They also did a great job with our driveway and sidewalks. Will definitely use them again!
As a single mom I needed Christmas lights installation. I called before Thanksgiving for an estimate/appointment and no one called me or showed up. I have called twice since then and still nothing. With the season being in full swing I've had to put some lights on bushes and around my door. That's all I have and can do. Disappointing. I won't be calling this business anymore
They came to turn on sprinklers amd fix valves and a leak. They fixed the leak failed to finish the job. They also didn’t go through heads to see if there spinning or adjusted properly. Something that should be done during a turn on. Would never use again. In response to yours, you did it through Spring Creek Managment. There was a Merrill landscape van at my house. And yes they forgot to adjust heads and did not finish the job. I can’t image ever leaving a job that’s not finished. Also there was 1 head that was replaced but it was not buried all the way and now must be weed whacked around because a mower would break the head. Again would never use again.
Breakers kept tripping. In 2019 we were charged for 25 new lights, plus timers. This year we were charged for 55 new lights, plus timers! Before this company was the provider, my husband did it and we only had minimal replacement lights with no tripping, plus we had the entire roofline decorated front and back. We feel this company does a poor job. Each year you buy new lights.
My husband and I have loved having Merrill Landscape put up and take down our Christmas lights. We are empty-nesters now so having somebody do it in a quick, professional manner where it looks fantastic is one less thing to worry about. Mitch was so helpful over the phone and accommodated whatever design and colors that I wanted. I am a forever customer!
We have loved the work Merrill Landscapes has done for us. They have ensured our yard is ready for Spring and for Fall/Winter. They have done a beautiful job with our flowerbed and shrubs, ensuring that there is beauty during all four seasons. And the Christmas lights they put up every year are amazing. How nice it is to not worry about hanging lights in the cold. The team at Merrill Quality Landscapes is amazing. We look forward to working with them on our new landscape project this spring.
Merrill Quality Landscapes was recommended by a neighbor. I am very glad for that recommendation. When I called, the appointment was set for a few days out, instead of weeks and this was a busy time for landscapers. The men were kind, efficient and didn't try to do more than was needed. When the bill arrived I was pleasantly surprised to see how reasonable they were. I would recommend this business to anyone in the area needing any needs in your yard

Im on a fire in New Mexico, they called my wife and scheduled an appointment. They called before coming. They gave us a thorough and fair bid. We are excited about getting started and look forward to a healthier and greener lawn.

Jeff and everyone at Merrill were great to work with. They did our install quick, cleaned up after they finished and were always willing to answer any questions we had.
They were very flexible as we changed landscaping plans and very professional.
The workers were very polite and always asked permission about doing anything unplanned like dumping stones in our driveway or leaving the truck trailer in our driveway overnight. The workers worked very hard and uncovered beautiful things. The price was reasonable.
They are honest, do great work and their prices were fair. What else could you want? I will hire them again on my next project.

We are pretty happy with the effort. We really appreciate the guys coming by a couple of times to reset our timer when power surges messed up the time.
My grandmother referred this company to me because she is friends with the owners, who helped hang lights for my cousins wedding. The first time I called in and was able to speak to someone, I mentioned that I was looking for someone to do yard lighting for my wedding, and the woman on the line said she would have someone contact me. I called 3 more times over the space of 4 months, emailed once, and never got a response. Today when I was finally able to speak to someone, the woman on the line was rude, snapped at me, abrasive, pick your word for poor customer service, while telling me they have never offered this service. Interesting when my grandma referred them to me, and I was told I would be contacted for a quote when I called back in October. Totally disappointed.
I had to have help with my lawn this year and I am impressed. The quality is awesome and the price fits my budget. I highly recommend.
I have had 2 systems installed by Merrill Quality Landscapper and I am very pleased with their services. They also winterize my Rentals fir me and do the spring opening for me. They come whenever I need them. I am glad they are my go to guys!

In the past I tried many times to get in touch with with this business for landscaping projects and they rarely called back. The one time l was able to get an estimate, it was nearly 5 times that of the company I went with. Save your time and money. These people dont care about getting back to you and their prices arent competitive.
I highly recommend Merrill Quality Landscapes! They did an awesome job on a project that they recently completed for us. Steve offered a lot of great suggestions, and he did an incredible job of managing our project from start to finish!

So we were in a bind when my mother in law ordered a bunch of sod as a surprise gift for our new home. We called everyone because we had 2 weeks to get our lawn prepped for sod. Merrill called us back same day and fit us in their busy schedule. Before the sod even came neighbors were saying they did a great job of tilling the dirt, leveling and removing the dead weeds. From the quality of the work to their pricing they were awesome. Thanks Jerry and team for all you did to make my yard great.
