My neighbor recommended JZL to me because I wanted a new front walkway and a new back patio. Jose and the men who did the work were absolutely AMAZING. They went over and above what the job called for. They were always on time in the morning and worked very efficiently all day. They cleaned up after themselves every day too. I can’t overemphasize how pleased I am with their work and their work ethic. See pictures of the finished work
I have used them for several jobs over the years. Planting large trees, moving existing landscape, a paved walking path, etc..... They are a good little company. Great communication, good work, and responsive to feedback. They can be a little pricey at times, but you get what you pay for with these things. Overall, very satisfied with them and regularly recommend them to the neighbors.
JZL has done several projects for us over the years, including hardscaping/landscaping and routine maintenance. They always do outstanding work. Highly recommend.
I hired JZL to build a large retaining wall in my front yard to replace some existing landscape beds. Scheduling was a little rough, with a surprise cancellation the initial scheduled day. But they came to perform the work a week later and did an excellent job. They built the wall in 2 and a half days and it turned out beautifully. They also put in a path made of large stepping stones on the new terrace area. While I had mentioned this was something I was interested in, it was left off the initial estimate so I was surprised that they put it in, but I wasn't charged anything extra. It looks beautiful and I'm very pleased with it, but the lack of communication around it could have led to an uncomfortable mistake. Overall I give the company very high marks for craftsmanship, efficiency, and value (I felt we got our wall for a very good price), but they could stand to improve the clarity of their communications. Five stars nonetheless for a beautiful end result.
JZL Landscaping Services provided a fantastic quality of work and customer service. They provided a quote on the weekend (due to a busy family schedule), and began the brick entryway repair the following week. While the scale of your job was small the attention to detail and the quality of their craftmanship is second to none. I cannot express my level of satisfaction and confidence in their abilities. Jesus, is a true craftsman repairing and reconditioning a red brick path and entryway. We will certainly use JZL Landscaping Services on future projects based on the excellent experience and outcome of our project. - John L.

JZL did a great job with our yard! The team helped us with spring clean up (leaves, bark chips, mowing, edging etc.). They were responsive, professional, and made our yard look great. We are continuing to use the service for regular lawn care and have been very happy!
Since my last review JZL returned Sept 21, 2023 to install a slate and river rock path in my backyard to connect two separate garden areas. We are delighted with the quality of the workmanship and the look of the path! Jose and his team also removed a large pile of lumber and in its place added a beautiful shade garden (see photo). The price was very reasonable. Attached is the “before” photo and several after photos. This is a top notch business. We continue giving JZL our unqualified recommendation. *******************(original review below) I have been using JZL for a number of years to do our annual Spring yard cleanup trimming, weeding and mulching and to install plants and hardscapes as needed. This is our go to landscaping service. Jose and his team are consummate professionals and meticulous in achieving a park like setting on our 2 acre property. They do an exquisite job of weeding and mulching. Of the multiple landscaping services we have used over the past 30 years JZL is the best. I give them our unqualified recommendation.
TL;DR Stayed true to their quote, didnt try to upsell, and they are neighbor approved! Used them to fix up my mess of the yard. It was a 10 hour job and they arrived early, coordinated with the neighbors regarding tree pruning and cutting, and did excellent work. The yard now matches with the rest of my street on looking clean and well kept. Ill definitely be using them for any future jobs I need.

Based on the reviews, I thought this was a good company to do business with. For an average leaf removal, on a 0.23 acre yard, they quoted me $795 dollars plus another $190 dollars for gutter cleaning! LOL. I feel like doing business honestly has lost all its meaning. Such a disappointment.
We just have to give a shout out about the amazing JZL Landscaping crew that worked (all day - in 95+ heat) on our yard. They pruned our tree, removed old mulch, put down fresh mulch everywhere even in all of my flower pots. They put down a truck full of river rock and cleaned everything. They have a great eye for detail, are professional, meticulous and some of the hardest working people we have ever met. We highly recommend them (and we are very particular).
JZL is great. The team comes when they are scheduled, do quality work and have fair prices. My neighbors have seen how nice our yard looks because of the job JZL does, my neighbors use their services now.
JZL did a fantastic job on our front lawn. Their customer service was extremely responsive and was patient while we asked many, many questions before moving forward with our plans. When the time came for the actual work they showed up and worked incredibly hard, going above and beyond to deliver quality. We will certainly be using JZL for our future landscaping needs and we recommend you do, too!

UPDATED REVIEW: Although I did originally have an issue with the pricing and contract working with JZL, they contacted me and offered a very fair solution to the misunderstanding. The quality of their leaf removal work was very good and they even cleaned off our rook and gutters. I was very satisfied with their service and willingness to work with me to solve a contract issue I had.
JZL team, Jose, office support staff, and working crew on site cooperated very well and they have done An Excellent Job. We would highly recommend JZL.

I can t even begin to tell you what an amazing company I stumbled upon. I believe I found them through home advisor and it was the BEST company I could have ever found to rebuild a sunken walkway. They are honest people with one agenda in mind, doing the job the right!! I am a huge fan. Thank you to the supervisor Jose and the office manager/estimator Emily. You are all awesome and can t wait to utilize your services going forward.

We hired JZL landscaping services to build a stone patio last month and removed the leafs in backyard this month. We enjoyed their services very much. They spent time to address my concerns and made sure the jobs were done correctly.
Found JZL through Home Advisor and they were amazing! We had a run down flagstone path and steps up a hill and rotten planter boxes requiring complete redo given a new shed we installed. Their work was exceptional, fast and very economical. They also did an outstanding job cleaning up and power washed the entire driveway, sidewalks and the new hardscape. JZL was absolutely fantastic and gets my highest recommendation! Jose and his crew somehow managed to tear up my old walkway, build a beautiful new one, build a 20+ ft long wall, relocate 6 boxwoods and run my downspouts under the lawn to newly installed drains in only one day! Not only is their work impeccable, during my quote, I requested quotes for certain other items that Jose gave me quotes for but honestly said that it would be cheaper for me to do myself and even told me how to do it the right way! So, between their high quality of work and honesty, I will be using JZL for all of my landscaping needs in the future. Highly recommended
