Just had some service to trim 10 medium sized trees. The work was impeccable each now has a natural look to them while being nicely trimmed thank you! ~~~~~~~~~ I have been a client for almost 10 years to safely maintain a large heritage tree and more recently to maintain some smaller trees. A special call out to Emily Rushka, Jonathan Cardenas and Ronal Veliz Garcia who are all knowledgeable and responsive. The teams that do the trimming are truly amazing -- skilled and careful. This is a great firm.

These guys were amazing. I think it was José and Daniel. These guys removed a large half dead Magnolia tree. They left the area as if the tree was never there.

My neighbor and I teamed up to have two sycamore trees trimmed. We found SavATree (Redwood City) working across the street. We spoke with Grace a supervisor and certified arborist, who was on site working with the crew. Grace came over and we talked about the trees and the need for some light pruning of both trees. She sent us a quote. Its such a smooth process. Her team of Jose and Gildardo showed up for the job and began their work. This is a safety minded, and efficient team effort. Grace was there for the start of the job and then again at the end. Its obvious that Jose and Gildardo have many years of tree care training and experience. Jose and Gildardo, carefully considered each arbor cut they made and the result was a well balanced, clean trimming. Their mindfulness to safety and efficiency is one born of a great team and it is obvious that they are true tree care professionals. The name SavATree is a perfect name for this company. The clean up was just the topping on a great job. Should you just need a good clean up like we did or you might need some major work, this is a perfect company to consider. I will keep them in mind for a next time when I need tree care.

Ronald at SaveATree is fantastic! He will come give you an honest assessment of your trees and take the time to explain what they need, what his team will do, and how they can make your trees more healthy and provide much needed shade. We have 5 Chinese Elms in our front yard and one Japanese Maple and they took care of them. Fertilized them and pruned them so they would not interfere with the house and they also maintained the full look of the tree so they still look as beautiful as ever. I highly recommend Ronald and his team! Great people and extremely friendly. They re licensed, insured, and have great equipment to get the job done.

I needed someone to help me maintain a pair of avocado trees. Grace was dispatched very quickly to help me with a quote for the services. I would need to keep my trees healthy. Daniel and Daniel were here very shortly after and did an amazing job of trimming the avocado trees back and making them look both beautiful and healthy. Very polite. Very professional. Ronal and his team at Savatree Redwood City have been improving the health of the trees in our yard for the past few months. Ronal is particularly good at explaining which treatments (e.g. fertilization, watering, pruning, root care, etc) are appropriate and which are not, as well as when to perform them. Ronal, from SavATree has been advising and helping us for the last several years. We have four large trees that need pruning and fertilizing. He is extremely knowledgeable and both he and his team are always a pleasure to work with. We have one tree, an evergreen pear that provides the majority of the shade over our patio. It is prone to several problems, such as black spot on its leaves. Ronal has helped manage and minimize this and keep the tree healthy. We would definitely recommend him and his team.

Our homeowners association is responsible for the care & maintenance of approximately 80 trees on our street including 61 elm trees that are over 100 years old (having survived the Dutch Elm Disease outbreak in the 1970s and 80s). After some very disappointing interactions with our prior tree care company, we interviewed 3 other tree care companies including SavATree. We began working with Emily in the fall of 2023 and as of this review have had them perform two multi-day jobs for us and we could not be happier with SavATree!! Our work with Emily Rushka and her team has been absolutely outstanding. Beyond Emily we have obviously interacted with their crews who are super thoughtful when trimming and super careful when bringing down large branches (ie instead of letting them just fall damaging landscaping, fences, etc). Also, SavATree s disease/pest/treatment experts are deeply knowledgeable, giving us multiple methods/treatments to consider. In working with Emily and her team, everything has been beyond professional including their responsiveness to calls/emails, the pre-work discussions where we develop a work plan to the actual trimming/care and the post-work clean-up. Our legacy elms and their unique historical background is very important to us!! Given that, we insist on working with tree care professionals who actually have the overall health of the trees as their top priority!! We have unfortunately found that many OTHER tree care companies out there do not think about their job in this way they are more interested in how fast they can fill up the back of their truck with wood chips, included even making cuts on trees that are actually excessive and degrading the health of the trees!! In contrast, everything about SavATree is focused on the overall health and longevity of the trees. The company name says it all!!

I am so pleased with the work the SavATree crew did in my garden this spring. Everything looks great and I m glad to know that my trees will finally get some needed fertilizer this year--particularly the camilias.

SavaTree did a wonderful job of planting new trees and resetting a tree that was leaning (planted by a different company several years ago). Jose Prado was excellent, as was Juan Carlos who assisted him. All the communications with the office were courteous, prompt and helpful. Its been a good experience.

I have been using SavATree, in one name or another, for going on 20 years. They have done my routine maintenance/treatment to disaster recovery when a 75 ft redwood came down on my house in a storm. Aside from being professional and responsive, they communicate effectively and are proactive about other things they see when on my property. And if that werent enough, every person I have dealt with has been friendly and respectful. Highly recommend.

During the wind storm Frank and his crew at SavAtree were great. They work all day, all night to ensure the safety of our residents and buildings. Dylan Garrett and his SavATree crew successfully engineered the removal of a 200+ foot giant sequoia tree that spontaneously keeled over with the cumulative rains and wind, and was leaning diagonally against our roof and gutters for nine days, in San Mateo. This was a potentially dangerous situation, a mere 15 feet from power lines. And the process took 9 hours, largely due to PGE s delays. But Dylan, ever patient and supportive, orchestrated a team of contributing workers two crane operators and seasoned arborists with power saws, log handlers and chippers, PGE specialists, etc. and the curiosity of scores of neighbors. The preservation of safety was admirable. And entire process was amazing. It made me appreciate the efficiency of pros. Thank you!

Jonathan, the arborist, is knowledgeable, responsive, and a pleasure to work with. We lost a very large old pine tree to bark beetle infestation. The crew of Dan, Daniel and Ruben were highly competent and very careful to remove the tree without damage to an adjacent fence or other trees. They did an amazing job!

I enjoyed talking with our arborist, Emily, and she determined that 11 trees in our yard needed pruning. The SavATree crew of 3 men spent two days onsite and did a great job with our overdue tree maintenance. After they completed the work, they cleaned up and even helped us restring our patio lights. It was a great experience from start to finish.

I hired SavATree to remove three Podocarpus trees in our yard that were too crowded and to prune and stabilize the remaining Podocarpus trees that had been leaning after the winter storms this year. The arborist Emily was very knowledgeable and genuinely cared about the health of the trees long-term, which I appreciated. The pruning and stabilizing of the trees was also well done and looked great when it was finished. SavATree was definitely worth the cost of the work.

A legit arborist is harder to find than you think, but this outfit has one of the best in the Bay Area on their team. Kalen Glenn has helped me with trees at my business and home, and each time he provides service, it s followed through with lots of knowledge and thoughtfulness. Kalen has helped solve issues with my trees heath, and has reversed some of my inexperienced wrong-doings, to help bring the beauty and shapes back to my trees. It s nice not to worry about broken limbs, or dangling branches, and even better to know I have a pro in my corner when Kalen is around. I highly recommend Save a Tree for their overall high standards and quality of work.

Took some time to get the permits out of SF, but as soon as they got them they were able to come straight through and trim the trees very well. We had terrible visibility from our camera system before, but now we can see very well due to the trimming.

Sav-A-Tree seems to be the tree service of choice for many of my neighbors, so when I decided that it was time to get my trees ready for the winter storms, I called them. The Sav-A-Tree crew, Jose, Dave, and Andrew arrived right on time ready to work on five very large old trees which needed careful pruning for both light and weather (wind). . .two Live Oaks, two Chinese Pistaches, and a Redwood. As a long-ago Master Gardner I had some background in understanding how the work should be done. Once the crew began trimming I could see immediately that they knew what they were doing. It was exactly as Jonathan, the Sav-A-Tree arborist, had discussed with me. I am exceedingly pleased with both their skill and professionalism. Additionally, the crew went above and beyond any expectation I had for post-trimming clean-up. I wish I were able to make my property look as clean and tidy as they did prior to finishing the job. Arborist, crew, crew manager there at start of work, introduced to everyone AND phone numbers. SavATree is an exceptional company to do business with. Responsive, knowledgeable and very capable. A 60ft cypress tree was dead and removed seamlessly. The location of the tree was precarious to neighbors and a danger to a childrens play area. All permitting and street closures were expedited by SavATree without any challenges. After a thorough inspection of the tree, it was determined to be a serious hazard and it was determined an EMERGENCY. As a result, the permits were secured quickly. In a word, they WERE and ARE FANTASTIC. Look no further when looking for a tree service. You wont be disappointed!
