I have recently finished a project designed and compleated by Ryan and Bruce Sarvis from Green Spaces Landscaping. The initial contact was a little delayed due to scheduling, but if you continue the process you will not be disappointed. Ryan and Bruce listened to my requests and came out with an outstanding design. Their team was very professional and delivered an excellent job within the promised time. They were easy to work with and they looked for options to all my requests. It may not be for everyone because they are a bit pricey, but their work is beautiful and very high quality.
Green Spaces did a great job building, first, the deck of our dreams, then, later, a complete remodel of our back yard space. The designs were very in tune with our needs, the crews were efficient, did the job right and responded well to our feedback, including directly addressing all concerns we raised. When we had to split our original project into two parts due to another unrelated house issue, the team worked with us to split the project and deliver on a modified schedule. Overall, I would choose Green Spaces again for future projects and recommend them to family and friends. We're very happy with the results!
I highly recommend Green Spaces Landscaping. We shopped around for months in an effort to find the ideal landscaping company to help fulfill our landscaping goals: building a fairly ambitious outdoor living space in our backyard, with outdoor kitchen, lighting, a built-in fire pit, pavilion roof structure, and supporting landscaping throughout (trees, plants, etc.). So many of the landscaping companies that we met with, while no doubt capable of doing the job, seemed to lack the necessary "customer service gene" -- we never got the sense that our best interests, as the customer, were ever truly a priority. We always felt like the other landscaping companies were trying to price-gouge us and, overall, seemed unwilling to work with us to try and meet our landscaping goals within our budget. They were all very rigid and lacking flexibility, in general. Ryan Sarvis and Green Spaces Landscaping, on the other hand, were quite the opposite. Right when we met Ryan, we immediately could tell that he was very customer-focused. Our needs were priority number one for Ryan -- he had solid "customer service" written all over him. You could tell that customer service was very important to him which, in turn, made us feel important and, likewise, immediately created an environment of trust (which is critical when you're spending tens of thousands of dollars on a project!). We felt at ease and comfortable with Ryan from day 1. We had a set budget, which the other landscaping companies scoffed at when we presented it in the context of our project plan (a few of them even laughed...I'm not kidding). In contrast, Ryan gently and tactfully told us which of our desired additions to the backyard we could and could not include within the scope of our budget. More importantly, Ryan regularly suggested more affordable alternatives for certain items. This was a key piece of the project. Ryan worked closely with us to find alternatives/options that would keep us happy, while also keeping us under budget. He provided us with much needed guidance, and for this, we cannot thank him enough. We went over multiple project plans -- Ryan drawing up all of them -- in an effort to get us our dream outdoor living space. Ryan was incredibly helpful along the way, always keeping in close contact. He regularly emailed and texted us various ideas and example photos and, as always, never strayed away from his customer-oriented approach. He was very flexible and accommodating. In fact, along the way, due to some life circumstances, we had to make a fairly significant reduction to our budget for the project, and Ryan didn't even flinch: he quickly adjusted the project and design plan accordingly. Overall, Green Spaces' willingness to work with us and make us feel taken care of was pretty incredibly. What's even more incredible? With Ryan's guidance, we were able to get something that was virtually identical to our original vision for our outdoor living space! There were a few cutbacks and tweaks here and there, of course, but none ended up significantly altering the overall look of the backyard. We got what we wanted. It looks absolutely amazing. Green Spaces exceeded our expectations. We couldn't be any happier! As an important side note, I'd like to give a quick shout out to the amazing Green Spaces project crew who worked on-site over the months on our outdoor project. They were always very professional and respectful. Their work was meticulous, detailed and precise. The team also made sure that they cleaned up the project site at the end of every work day to make it look as nice as reasonably possible -- it never looked messy -- which my whole family really appreciated. Again, I can't say enough positive things about Green Spaces Landscaping. I highly recommend them for your landscaping needs. In fact, we have a front yard project that we hope to complete sometime this year, and we'll certainly be using Green Spaces Landscaping.
We were very happy with the process and completion of our back yard hardscape and planting project. The entire process went smoothly, on time, and on budget. I felt Ryan listened to my vision for the space and was able to accommodate it well. Would hire again.
Green Spaces did a spectacular job on our walkway and stairs. Previously we had flagstone that was installed improperly without the proper base. Ryan explained the issues with how it was installed and how the correct process for installation. He helped us select material for a new paver walkway and even met with us at a rock quarry to select boulders with us. The crew worked really hard and were approachable whenever we wanted minor changes made. Ryan had no problem when I asked him to redo one minor part of the walkway because I didn't like it. He wanted us to be happy with the final product. The work is also guaranteed. Green Spaces does the job correctly and is satisfied when you are.
Green Spaces Landscaping transformed our backyard into an inviting space that we are simply thrilled with. We found and purchased a design consult coupon from Green Spaces Landscaping on Angie's List to get some ideas about what might be possible in our backyard. Ryan Sarvis came out to our home and spent quite awhile sharing ideas and inspiring us. Ryan listened to our hopes and answered all our questions. We had a rough idea of what we wanted to do before contacting Green Spaces; but Ryan brought our thoughts and ideas into focus and had many ideas we never even contemplated. Ryan is very knowledgeable about landscaping, hardscaping, decking, patios, lighting and more. Although we did have a few other quotes, we felt Ryan's expertise across a multitude of disciplines would be beneficial in ensuring everything would come together as planned. We had a couple of revisions of our contract/bid and the work to be performed and Ryan was flexible with us to maintain our targeted budget while still achieving our main and most important goals/priorities. There was a bit of delay due to the poor air quality this late summer but once the project kicked off we were so impressed by the Green Spaces Landscaping crew. We were blessed to have Matteo and Hayner as our two primary craftsmen. Hayner and Matteo were wonderful to have working around our home. For six weeks they came every weekday like clockwork showing up early in the morning and working tirelessly throughout the day in the wind, rain and even some brief snow. They are very conscientious and they take great pride in their work. We had a lot of fun talking with them about the work being done and they were very helpful when we asked questions about what was being done or fine-tuning some of the decisions. When I'd ask if something could be adjusted a bit; Hayner would say 'you're the boss'! We miss the guys and hope we get to work with them again in the future. One tidbit of advice is to communicate often with your designer. We worked directly with Ryan and a few times some ideas would get mixed up or forgotten so it is important to get as much detail as you feel you need to ensure you and the Green Spaces team are on the same page and have the same expectations. That said, Ryan was always able to accommodate our needs and we truly felt that his company's ultimate goal is to make his customers dreams a reality and do so at a fair value and with quality workmanship. In summary, we are very pleased with the outcome of our backyard makeover and are so thankful that Ryan and team were able to take on our project. We hope someday to have Green Spaces back to our home and re-work our front yard!
We completed a significant project with Green Spaces that covered hardscaping, outside deck and stair construction, turf, plantings, lighting, and irrigation. Ryan and Jose were fantastic to work with and we are very happy with the outcome. The design and implementation process were straightforward and professional. Anything that needed to be fixed was addressed and made right. I would highly recommend Ryan and his team for any project you have.
contracted green spaces to completely rebuild my townhome garden. initially they were extremely responsive and performed the first half of project, but then they went completely unresponsive and left me having to find another contractor to complete the project. I spent a ridiculous amount of money with them on this project, and to just have them go radio silent is extremely frustrating and disrespectful. the work they did perform was decent- just dont expect to have a complete project.
I am honored to write a rave review for Green Spaces Landscaping. We did a major project with them and we are absolutely thrilled with the result and the process. We have a steep set of stairs to the front of our beautiful home. Our detached garage is on an alley behind our home and there is a long walkway to the back door, which had three stairs, a walkway and a few more stairs. My husband is facing an upcoming need for handicapped access but he didnt want a temporary plywood handicapped ramp. He wanted a designed hardscape/landscaped solution that we could enjoy for many years. We solicited three proposals. All three offered interesting and responsive solutions that could be accomplished within our suggested budget. The cost of their proposals were suprisingly similar, which made us feel that the pricing was fair and competitive. However, the interaction with Ryan Sarvis, of Green Spaces Landscaping really differentiated them, as did their rave reviews. There were three elements to our journey. The Vision and Design, the Budget, and the quality of the Execution of the plan. As mentioned above we were confident the pricing was fair and competitive. Also we are thrilled with the result, which tells you the Execution was terrific. Their team is professional, expert, perfectionist, neat, careful, innovative, and a delight to work with. We found a few surprises as they dug things up, and they came up with innovative solutions at a modest cost and no impact on the schedule. Our project was on budget, on schedule and we always had clear and easy access to the house despite everything being dug up. It was terrific. The Vision and Design process was exceptional. Ryan heard what I asked for, and presented a proposal that was a lovely solution within the budget range I requested, But he asked if I was open to discussing other ideas besides simply taking out the stairs and creating a hardscape incline walkway with some plants. He noted that my back courtyard had a 75 year old cracked concrete surface and that the plants and shrubbery surrounding it, while healthy, had long ago become too large to be proportional to the space. I had only focused on the handicapped access. He focused on the overall aesthetic and suggested integrating the back courtyard into the project, with updated pavers throughout, shrubbery and plants that were proportional to the space and new lighting throughout. He prepared sketches. It was fabulous. We are fortunate that we were able to increase our budget to include this new scope and the result is nothing short of spectacular. We feel joy every single time we come from the garage into the house or use the back yard. There was no upselling pressure, but there was design expertise that was just irresistible and we are so happy that he made suggestions.
I have worked with the team at GreenSpaces Landscaping to completely redo my front yard a number of years ago. I have loved having a really beautiful yard and I frequently get compliments from neighbors and others. Just recently, I had irrigation added to my side and back yard garden beds. The two man team (Jorge and Eliseo) were terrific to work with. They were friendly and considerate as well as very efficient. I am very satisfied with the quality and service I receive with GreenSpaces.

We just completed a third contract with Green Spaces, and would like to share that Im highly impressed and greatly pleased by the work that they did. Green Spaces did an extensive landscape re-design of our property, which included tree removal, boulder addition/adjustments, pathways, patio, fencing, stone walls, and plantings. Ryan at Green Spaces did a great job working with us on the design, throughout the projects, as well as identifying an closing out punch-list items. Were really excited to take advantage of the updated space and patio, and are looking forward to the new plants taking off again in the spring. Were also definitely looking forward to working with Green Spaces on future projects.
Scheduling with Green Spaces took a long time due to their popularity, but it was well worth the wait! They were very flexible with our revisions to design, and credited us the cost difference. More importantly, very careful about the proper sloping and drainage. Our new paver patio is gorgeous, cannot recommend more!
We just completed our second project with Greenspaces. We went back for a second one based on the quality of the work they did the first time around. In this second project, they did the landscaping of our backyard and it looks beautiful. Their crew is very tidy and organized and you almost don t know they are there. Communication is great and consistent throughout the project. I highly recommend them.
We had GS do an outdoor kitchen, planter beds and a deck for us about 5 years ago. It looks fantastic and is the envy of the neighborhood so it only made sense to use them when we wanted to create a front patio to watch our young son play. They did another awesome job we are thrilled with the final product.
We have really loved working with everyone at Green Spaces! From the design process with Ryan to the execution of the project with Jose and even the payment process with Karen, we have been impressed every step of the way. Everyone we worked with has been professional and kind and hardworking and- most of all- RESPONSIVE. My biggest pet peeve with businesses is when they don t respond to emails/phone calls. Green Spaces always made me feel valued and important and never left me hanging when i reached out with a question or issue. I was absolutely blown away with the speed at which our massive backyard project came together. The workers were amazing and respectful and super hard-working. Ryan, Alex and the Green Spaces team just completed a job for us, basically tearing out our front fence and ground cover and replacing it with a terraced, landscaped area with a new fence. They also landscaped our front yard and added new walkway. The work was very high quality, and the crew was very professional, and very helpful when we had questions.
Green Spaces Landscaping exceeded our expectations in creating a beautiful back and front yard for us. Ours was a 30 year old deck and garden that needed a facelift and boy did it get an amazing one. We have a perfect size staircase that leads to the patio with just the right colored paving stones, a BBQ circle off to the side that matches along with refreshed plantings all along our fencing and the front yard garden beds. I highly recommend Green Spaces. Theyve clearly added not only value to our home, but have also boosted the fun we can have in our backyard!
Ryan and his team at Green Spaces were just awesome. They are busy, so make sure you give appropriate lead time to get on their calendar, but its totally worth the wait. The crew that redid our backyard, deck, and fence were professional and did great work. The site was always clean and they worked efficiently and with great attention to detail. We had a great experience with Green Spaces Landscaping, from the planning stages through to the finished work. We always got a fast response to any questions or queries, and the team were all very professional. Weve had a minor niggle due to the weather impacting the work before it had chance to dry, but that too is being dealt with. The only drawback is the company is so popular, there are long wait times for a start date!

My front and back yards are amazing! Ryan and his crew did a fantastic job. Ryan is easy to work with and was accomodating when I made changes during the project. He listened to what I wanted and made it happen (my number one priority was to feed the wildlife year-round). His crew is friendly and very respectful and always cleaned up after themselves at the end of every day. My project was completed in 4 weeks during December 2018 and January 2019, and I can hardly wait until spring and summer when everything starts to bloom and come alive. Green Spaces did an amazing job on our yard - and came in within budget and on time. They got rid of a ton of thick, invasive plants including bamboo, did grading, shored up our retaining walls, put in a patio and pathways, a cedar chip play area, and a terraced vegetable garden. They also built stairs to our deck and planted a lot of plants and bushes. Our yard looks amazing and is now usable. The stairs match the existing deck flawlessly. The crew was great and we are so happy to have a usable and beautiful back yard.
I have great confidence in Ryan and his crew and staff. All very professional, quality work, friendly, listened and met all my needs even when I added on work just before and during installation. All at a modest price. My friends have been wowed with my new private backyard park, and curbside appeal where folks stop and take photos, especially the steps and cheek walls all hand done in ledgestone, very striking. Love my new back porch and fencing. I went with lighting and auto watering, worth the added investment!

We hired Green Spaces and Ryan to do a fairly extensive backyard remodel for our Greenlake/Wallingford home after connecting a thorough bidding process. Ryan was incredibly creative with what we thought was a pretty small space but based on his recommendations and design we added additional useable space to our backyard. The project included a built in outdoor kitchen, pavers, lighting, wall, new stairs and landing and turned out beautiful. Spending this kind of money can be stressful and we are not great at design. Ryan helped us through all of this and was very patient. His crew (2-4 people for about 5 weeks) was incredibly friendly, polite and professional. We share a driveway leading to the project area with neighbors and they were very respectful. We had 2 minor issues (no hot water and a drain issue impacting our neighbors) and both were addressed immediately (including over a weekend). The project turned out beautiful and we are excited for the spring weather to use our new space. I would highly recommend Ryan and Green Spaces.

Ryan Sarvis has been phenominal and his workers have impressed every neighbor with their friendly and happy work and personal ethics. Ryan knows his stuff. We fired question after question at him as we moved through the long list of tasks we were after and he answered all of them - correctly - off the cuff. The work his company did was excellent: attention to detail, swift, at a price that was - though not cheap - eminently a great deal for the care we received (and less than at least one competitor). Our landscape project included steps from the side of our house to the backyard, a new patio, a raised garden bed, and an enclosure to hide our A/C unit. We interviewed 3 landscapers and chose Ryan because he presented lots of good ideas right away. When he presented his plan, it was clear that he had listened to us and incorporated our likes/dislikes. The work started a bit later than planned, but once it started, the team was on site every day, all day, and completed the work in the estimated time frame of 2 weeks. We were extremely happy with Ryan and his entire team and would highly recommend to anyone.
Ryan and his crew have done an excellent job for our front yard. It was a very pleasant experience. We had the design done by a landscape architect but Ryan made several good improvement suggestions, all of which we decided to take. The best thing was, Ryan and his crew didnt hesitate to go an extra mile for our satisfaction. We had a crumbling retaining wall, no patio and were being overrun by the surrounding forest. Green Spaces built us a new wall, paths, patio and stairs, plus beat back the jungle and turned it into landscaping. They were timely, fast, friendly, clean and respected our budget. We would hire them again. (The pics were taken before the end of the project. The flowerbed now looks great.)
Nice work - Green Spaces was excellent in communicating about the project, which occurred earlier than scheduled when some time freed up. The work on my new pergola and planters was top-notch. Looking forward to some sunny weather!
We loved working with Ryan and the Green Spaces team. Ryan is incredibly professional and thoughtful. He listened to what we wanted and carefully selected plants that would thrive in Western WA while creating an edible yard (my dream!) that blooms year-round. His crew was efficient and left the yard clean and tidy.
We did two landscape projects (new patios, lighting, retaining walls, path ...) with them in 2017 fall. I really like the quality of the work and their attention to the feedback from us. They also demonstrated great support and care after the projected is delivered to address the new demand and all sorts of question of maintenance.
