Was initially really pleased with Level Lawns, however they started our garden in Feb 24 and its now nearly June and its still not finished. Bad weather meant they couldnt carry out work for a few weeks which was understandable, but then they never came back. I sent messages and called numerous times (most were unanswered, one of the guys stopped answering or replying completely, (David) so i had to start communicating with his partner (Steve) to try and get them booked to return and managed to get dates book on 4 different occasions, each time they are a no show, no calls or messages from them to explain why they didnt show up either. (Were last booked to return 10th May, and we have heard absolutely nothing from them) We paid them half the total cost upfront, as requested by them for materials etc, so I can only assume the amount of work they had left to complete my garden, didnt align with the amount of money left in the final balance, As I can see from other reviews that they have quoted, taken on a completed new projects for other people on days they promised to be working on mine (Lesson learned)

David came and quoted on Monday 11th March and we just got a feel that these were the right guys to re-turf and landscape our front garden. We asked how soon they could do the work on Wednesday and they completed the work in one day on Friday 15th March. This was amazing! Great value and a fantastic job done . After struggling to maintain my lawns due to very compacted clay subsoil and a few dry summers, I thought it was time for a renewal. I contacted Level Lawns, sent them some measurements, and received a quote very quickly. A few messages later and we had a date booked and a price agreed. The team turned up on the dot, were always polite and professional and worked hard and efficiently to produce an absolutely superb job. The lawns now look magnificent and Im going to make sure that they get all the water and care that they deserve! I couldnt be happier with the work, and would recommend this company without hesitation.

My lawn was laid in a very professional manner but part of the job was to lay stepping stones. When the lawn was laid David assured me they would return to my home to lay the stones after a month to give the lawn time to establish. Up to this day David has fobbed me off with excuses and has stopped replying to messages. To make matters for me worse, I over paid them by £250 as a thank you for doing such a good job. So no I wouldnt recommend them. They promise after care, what a joke that is.

These boys did a fantastic job of our seriously un-level lawn which is on a hill with a diagonal slant from the back right corner to the front left. Garden looked a proper state before they got stuck in. Looks amazing now. Worked quickly and kept things tidy before leaving. Also very competitive on price. I would certainly recommend.

I wanted some two brick high raised beds and a new lawn. Having had a no show landscaper and 2 dodgy bricklayers I asked Level lawns to lay a lawn and put right as much of the bad workmanship as they could. They didn t disappoint. They repaired the coping stones which had fallen off the wall, cut away the untidy and unnecessarily wide cemented foundation layer. Took away some enormous rockery stones and all my old rubble, none of which was of their making, all for no extra cost. Then they laid the lawn. They came on time, worked hard, answered all my questions and left me with a really nice garden. I just wish I had found them earlier and they had done the whole job. I would recommend Dave and Steve very highly.

Wow! What an amazing job Level Lawns did! Had a new raised patio and path and quite a large area of grass in the middle that needed raising to the patio height. They built up the Garden, levelled it and laid new turf. The attention to detail, knowledge of how to maintain the grass etc was first class. This company are an absolute pleasure to use. They managed to turn a large area of waste land, that happens to be our garden, into an oasis of green. I had been battling with a weed and moss infestation for a long time and progress was slow but Dave and his crew rescued things in a single day by rotovating and laying new, quality turf. Their price was very reasonable and their work professional. They were responsive from start to finish (got back to me quickly with a quote and scheduled the work). I would be more than happy to recommend them.

Unfortunately I have had a poor experience with this company. I had booked an appointment with them but they did not turn up nor inform me that they will not be coming. When I called up to enquire, I was told that the person who was supposed to come had the required equipment but was not contactable! Although they were supposed to call again to make another appointment, this never happened. Very unreliable. It looks like from the owners response they have confused with someone else. In my case, no one even turned up to measure so there was no discussion whatsoever.

We wanted to re-lay a narrow part of our lawn to the shady side of our house and under over-karching trees as it had gradually lost the will to live We recently had the trees pollarded which we intend now to keep that way so asked Dave if he thought it worth his while to re-turf that small area (approx 25 metres) He was happy to come and take a look and gave a quote to lay a more-expensive shade-tolerant turf which I considered reasonable, having priced turfs, topsoil and rotavator hire etc for a DIY job. He was able to do it after a week or so, turned up as arranged with his mate Steve and did a super-looking job, cutting it into the surviving rear lawn (the new turfs putting it to shame) and shaping it into a curved border wed reclaimed from the overgrown hedgerow trees and replanted with shrubs etc. It was finished in no time or fuss at the price quoted so Level Lawns did a 5-star job and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend them to others Alan Harris 5th September 2016

Spoke to Dave after seeing his work and described the state of my grass/hardmud, he quoted me over the phone and came round and said he could do exactly what he said on the phone at the cost he said. He came round a week later to lay the lawn and it looks absolutely superb. He gave me after care advice on the lawn also. I cannot recommend him highly enough. First class guy first class work.

Im so pleased with our new front lawn. My husband wanted it done - I wasnt bothered! Now its done Im well chuffed with it! Dave and Steve were great, courteous and efficient, and the job was finished by mid afternoon. Would recommend. Postscript - Sadly, subsequent to writing this review, a week or so after it was laid, and despite us thoroughly watering the new lawn daily, the turves died in places along some of the edges, over a width of 2-3 inches.(The remaining 99% of the lawn still looks good) Anyway I contacted Level Lawns, really just for an inspection and some advice. Dave replied that he would try to drop by the next day - not difficult as he lives nearby.That was over two weeks ago and he still hasnt visited. This is disappointing customer service, particularly as communications were very good before the job was done.
