We had hydroseed placed last summer (2022). We knew the soil wasn't great to start with, but were told it would take as long as we watered accordingly. So we did. This is on a sloped hill, so we are guessing the seed slid to the bottom, as at its peak, there was nice thick grass towards the bottom of the hill - though there were still patches with no grass. At the top of the hill, hardly anything took. We called and called. Either didn't get a response or got "we'll come take a look in the next week or so." But no one ever came. Probably called at least 10 times. Winter came and now that spring is here, we are in the same situation. Called again with no response. Waste of our money as we will have to totally redo this area. Haven't been this disappointed in a service before.
Highly recommend! Big jobs, little jobs and everything in between! Black Hills Hydro Turf has completed numerous jobs for us. Ted and Claire are very knowledgeable, trustworthy & fair! They were ready to get to work for us and completed each job efficiently. If they were unable to complete a specific part of the process, they reached out to other trusted sources to get us on the schedule and ensured we were getting a fair deal.

They have been the best to work with and did an outstanding job. My lot was very rocky and they turned it into a gorgeous lawn. They were patient and flexible with my schedule, answered all my questions, extremely friendly and kind, and very importantly delivered a quality job. On a couple of occasions they went above and beyond to deliver landscaping rock for my projects. Very grateful to have gotten to work with them. Best customer service!

This is the second year that we have purchased their Garden Blend for our garden/orchard. This year we opted for the perlite amendment and the soil looks amazing! Very pleased with the quality of soil and the timely communication and delivery of product. We highly recommend their services.

Claire and Ted from Black Hills Hydro Turf did a fantastic job with our lawn. They took the time to walk us through the entire process, planned out a course of action, and got the work done in a timely manner, within budget. Ted performed quite a bit of grading as we had a tricky residential lot for drainage (he has the perfect high-tech tools for the job!). They were even able to source and spread landscape rock around our house and put in a gravel RV pad for a great price. Two weeks after the seed went down, Claire even followed up and raked in seed where some had been disturbed by our dog and some excess water flow. We couldnt be happier with the service and friendship they have provided and love how our new lawn is coming in. 5 stars for their product and service!
