The Handyman Chris Auwerter in Rapid City

Chris seemed nice and attentive. He did not show after booking one appointment, several attempts he changed the time. Then said he was too tired. 03/25 I texted him at 1030 to let me know he was on his way. No response. 11:35 I started looking for another handyman. The appointment time we made for Sat at 1100 he never called or showed up.I texted Chris said I will respect you and let you know you’re fired. I hired someone else. You did not even give me any respect to even text.

Chris was professional and did a great job with the home repairs I needed. The job was done on time and the work was professional quality.

Chris will take your money and then not respond to calls or emails or texts. He is a theif, liar and has major issues with law enforcement. He didnt respond for a week due to being in jail.He never shows up and if your lucky to talk to him, it is nothing but lies and excuses. I highly suggest no one use him as you will get ripped off. BBB is filled with complaints against him along with reviews on other sites.he is rude, incompetent and nothing close to professional.

SCAM ALERT!!! Do not hire this guy or you will be sorry, I am. On 12/21/2020, I hired Chris Auwerter for replacement of soffit that had blown off my house. We entered a contract and I paid him in full, $347.00 upfront for the work he was to do. The contract said he was to complete the work I needed done in 30 days. After hearing excuses about why he wasn't showing up, which included but were not limited to: the weather, his vehicle not starting, no power at his house, the place he was to rent a lift from was not available unless more money given, etc. I decided on 01/29/2021 to part ways with him for Breach of Contract and ask for my money back. Mr. Auwerter agreed, via text message, to refund me in full. Today is 02/15/2021 and I have not received my money back. I sent a text message on 02/05/2021 to inform Mr. Auwerter that he has yet to refund me and he responded on the morning of 02/06/2021 to apologize to me, for he was having "financial problems". I know how it is to be down on your luck so I informed him he had until Wednesday, 02/10/2021 to return my money, in full, or my intentions were to escalate this. His response was to tell me "not to threaten him" and that if I read the contract, technically, he only had to return half of my money. This person is a scam artist and a thief. I have a BBB complaint in, will be calling the police, and will go to court as a matter of principle. This case is simple. I gave him money, he never performed any services at all, and will not return my money. Where I come from, that is theft.

Chris has put our Christmas lights up at least three seasons now. He does a great job. Chris will also come out to change a burned out bulb and will take them down when I’m ready. He’s very friendly and helpful.

I had a leaking roof. I called Chris and told him I wanted a fast repair because the weather was going to be getting too cool for roof patching. Chris came out the same day and worked until well after dark to complete the repair. He is very professional and takes pride in his work. I highly recommend him!

Under no circumstances use this "business" ! A contract was signed receipts exchanged..a signed legal document...1/2 Funds given only to have to chase after him for 2 months....only to be told " cant build the fence and can't pay you back" " Have a nice day"!!! Do nP

we had an unfinished basement thats been neediding to get done and called chris and he did an exelent job. very professional and knolagable. gave a good price and breakdown of the cost. would deffinetly recomend to friends and family.
