O'Connell Landscape Maintenance in Rancho Santa Margarita

The absolute worst. They throw cigarette buds everywhere they leaf blow dust and dirt all over your car and the workers are rude and disgusting. I hope they go out of business.

You ruined our lives in Ladera Ranch CA with your constant noise everyday, your workers sitting at all our tables so I can't even sit down where I pay to live. You blow dust and dirt all over our cars and scare our pets with your non stop noise daily.

If I could give them a zero I would, they planted ground cover plants ant our home all died, I am constantly cleaning up after them. They are unresponsive, and do not take pride in their work, that is very obvious.

I wasn’t going to post but after talking to my family I decided I would warn others. I was walking to the store from my home with my 14month old son (he was in his stroller) and was harassed by an O’Connell employee. I was on the public side walk when one of their employees starts verbally harassing me. Yelling at me to take better care of my child. I did not say one word to this man and did not provoke him in any way. I called corporate to discuss the events and was sent to voicemail with no return call. I would recommend using any other landscaping service if you’re a female, have a mother or have a family of your own. No one should be treated this way for simply walking on the side walk.

Omg the HOA In Dana bluffs condos uses O’Connell Landscape and they do a totally pathetic job on our complex. I recommended them because they used to do the breakers condos. The breakers no longer uses them anymore and has replaced O’Connell. The workers sit in their trucks 2-3 hours and then drive somewhere else in the complex and sit again for most of the day! When they do something it’s a quick Mow or “blow and go” blowing leaves and debris into our walkway and bushes and leaving them there it’s really sad.

They service Ladera Ranch, where I am a resident. They spray chemicals in the area and are unwilling to provide the MSDS forms for what they are spraying. It is my understanding that they are required by law to tell us what they are spraying. My daughter fell in the mud, broke out in hives and we need the forms to show the Dr. what she came in contact with. O'Connell claims they were not spraying anything, but my wife saw them spraying it after she walked a short distance farther. They are also supposed to post signs, which they did not. Terrible organization, they have no concern about the health of a 13 year old girl.

I live in RMV and am shocked this community is employing this disgrace of a landscape company. Broken lines everywhere , weeds everywhere , grass is too complex for them to maintain. I have had to hire my own landscaper to do basic maintenance around my front because they trim the bushes poorly or not at all and don’t tend to anything. They water the cement more than the plants. I will do everything I can to get this company removed from our community maintenance contract unless I see improvement immediately. These photos are only some of hundreds in my community that show the lack of care , skill, and commitment to their job. If I could give this company no stars I would.

This company takes care of the landscaping for our HOA. I had a problem with a plant they planted sideways so the flower was going to the ground. I emailed the HOA so they could reach out to O Connell and instead of replanting they just cut the flowers. What a lazy dumb move. What every is easy and fast is what they will do. I could have done that, I guess I have to dig it up myself so it would be corrected.
