Do NOT use this company. I used to have one of the best lawns on my street. Then I hired Fairway for the last year. Big mistake. I’ve had my lawn serviced by this company for a year, and it currently looks worse than it ever did in the four years I maintained it myself. The weeds on the right side of my driveway have only gotten worse, despite calling and asking them to come and reservice the area. Then on Sept 20 they applied so much fertilizer to my front yard that it looked like someone had salted my driveway, while my backyard received nothing. I know this because I inspected both areas—while the front was heavily over-fertilized, there was no evidence of any product applied to the backyard. Unfortunately, the significant application resulted in my yard getting burnt. And less than a week after treatment I had large brown patches throughout my yard and my grass looked very unhealthy. Service manager came out and inspected it, confirmed it has been burnt, and promised a tech would be out by the next two weeks to seed and aerate the areas that were burnt. To make matters worse, when the technician came out he left a voicemail saying he couldn’t tell what part of the yard was burnt, so he didn’t proceed with the seeding and aerating. It’s hard to understand how the technician couldn’t identify the burnt areas when the grass was clearly dead and brown as you can see in the photos. Still today, three weeks later no one has came back to aerate and seed the damaged lawn. On top of that, I also paid for their mosquito plan, which did absolutely nothing—I honestly feel like they just sprayed sugar water on my yard. Just walking between my detached garage into the house I would receive no joke 4 to 5 mosquito bites. It was 0% effective. You’ll see pictures of the excess fertilizer on my driveway, the burnt areas of my yard, and the worsening weeds. Very disappointed with the service I’ve received and feel like I’ve thrown money down the drain this season. Will be switching to a new company for next season. Update: they came and applied a second round of fertilizer to my dead grass and weeds but have yet to seed and aerate to correct the issue.
I've been a customer for around 9 years now with the annual service plan and I'm exceedingly happy with the trend in my service the past year. Harry has been a wonderful person to work with as my yard technician. I've been very lucky in that I've been home on several occasions and had the ability to talk with Harry who answered all my questions and made some recommendations that I've followed and it's really paid off! Whenever I've had concerns or issues, they've quickly been addressed. He's been incredibly polite and engaging and I truly get the impression that Harry treats my yard as if it were his own! I know that the individual technicians matter so kudos to Harry! He's the best!
We have been customers for 3 years . We pay for the quarterly treatments and then extra for seed and aeration. The access to our backyard is small due to a large tree and an AC unit - each year they have brought the smaller machine to aerate the back. The tech showed up today as scheduled and I'm home. NO AREATION in the back and doesn't tell me just leaves after aeration of front, racking back and seeding. When I notice I call immediately-they ask for pictures. I get a call saying "our machine doesn't fit they did what they could"!! I explained it's been accessed 2 years in a row and that I KNOW they have a machine that fits- then she responds " well it will be a touch up but I don't know when we can get you on the schedule!! WHAT THE HECK!! I would STOP payment of check but it's already cleared. Thankfully my husband reached out to the original salesman. He said they would come back with the small machine today. What a bunch of CRAP that I even have to follow up on what should be noted as a 3 year customer and then told it's best they can do then get angry. POOR business
Don’t use this company for aeration for they send out people with no experience and they end up cutting your internet cable line as a remote worker from home is unable to work. There response is it’s not our problem it’s your cable provider. No sympathy or reduction in cost, just that’s not their fault. Im so disappointed with this company I had been a client for over 7 years and this is how I’m treated. I have already sent out a message to all my neighbors who use you to not to anymore. If this is how you’re going to treat your old time clients. The service and my grass has been gone down hill. I’m not sure if the management has changed but something is not how it was when I fist used Fairway green. I have also attached pictures of the mess that was left after my aeration service yesterday with the internet cable being cut right by where all the wires are coming out from. Why would you get so close knowing that there are multiple wires coming from this location???? Please revaluate your employees and how you are treating your clients!
I think I’ve had 2 treatments and I am impressed with how my yard is looking. Even though I had no expectation of getting rid of my backyard full of violets- I think they are about 92% gone and my grass is beginning to look like a lush green carpet. Considering the hot & dry weather I think this is quite the feat! Great job- Thank you.
I have been a Fairway Green customer for over 10+ years. Like a lot of other recent reviews I have read, their service has significantly declined. My Bermuda lawn was once the envy of my neighbors currently looks atrocious. Weeds have overtaken my lawn. Zero response for customer service after multiple calls and emails. They have been fired! Just had two other professionals look at my lawn and they both recommended complete replacement. Obviously an expensive proposition. They will be hearing from my attorney. Stay away from this company.
When I first started my plan with Fairway Green several years ago, I was happy with the way my lawn looked. The technicians explained the treatments they were applying at each visit and took their time to do a thorough job. In the rare instances I had a weed issue between treatments, the company was quick to send someone out to address the problem. Unfortunately the level of service has dropped significantly. To be blunt, my lawn looks like crap. I have weeds growing all over, including crabgrass (which should have been addressed with the preemergent treatment). When I notified Fairway Green of the issues, I really didn’t appreciate the indifferent response of “we will address those weeds at your next service”, or “next time we are in the area”. Recently, I have noticed very short visits from the techs (we have security cameras), and have serious doubts that the treatments I paid for were done/done properly. My neighbor, who I originally recommended use Fairway Green, called to complain that one visit included spraying just a small strip between our houses, at which point the tech left. Guess what? Still had to pay for the treatment, and no revisit. You have lost me as a customer and most likely will lose the other accounts in my neighborhood as well. Do better!
This is my Bermuda AFTER Fairway Green seasonal lawn weed control treatment. I had a perfect (no weed) lawn before Fairway Green service. My neighbors next door (on both sides of me) and in the neighborhood all have the same Bermuda grass, and my lawn is the only one that has out-of-control weeds. My neighbors all have absolutely no weed issues. The only variable in this is my use of Fairway Green—my neighbors used Eastern Turf Company and True Green. I went with Fairway Green, huge mistake. Controlling weeds in Bermuda grass is very simple, as I have never had any issues whatsoever until I started with Fairway Green this year. I’ve even controlled weeds myself—and I know little about weeds. I had their manager come out and look at the weed situation and he agreed it was awful. Promised to “make it right”, but never followed up as promised. No refund either. Stay clear of Fairway Green. The lack of any follow up is as troubling as the weeds. I called again and spoke to the manager who informed me they would be out next day to address, however it was a lie as they never came. Wrote multiple emails to the company, all have been ignored. I have pictures before and after service if anyone wants the BEFORE shots. Fairway Green did not provide the service I paid for, shame on them. It’s likely they either didn’t service my grass or the solution used was watered down and incorrect. I will begin the process of getting my money back as it was not a small amount. Please beware folks, very shady company and very poor service and knowledge of lawn care.

Horrible company and only takes your money. My yard is full of weeds. If they were doing their job, i wouldnt have all of these weeds. Run! Horrible customer service as well!! The guy that came out to try and redeem themselves was a jerk and had attitude so I definitely wouldnt ever call them again!
We have used this service for two years now. Every time our yard is treated the grass is stressed and we have areas die. If you have Zoysia, you have to advocate for your lawn. The chemicals they use are not always what is best for your grass.
Barring a couple of members, the operation is poorly run. My lawn is worse after their service. Mistakes in scheduling, they serviced my neighbor once and billed me, they schedule and don t show up but send out a bill. Too much headache managing them. Canceled their service.
My yard has improved greatly since Harry has been applying the necessary chemicals and fertilizers to get rid of the weeds. Thanks for the excellent service.

My experience with Fairway Green began in 2016 till the present. My tech, Anderson, is absolutely wonderful, conscientious, and very professional. I can count on his feedback to keep me informed as well as see to my yards well-being. Choosing the prepay option is my strategy for the yearly applications. I called them this morning to get an estimate. They clearly told me that they would likely do over satellite but would call if they need to come to property. Later in the day (while my wife and I were on the road to our getaway) I caught some guy on camera on my property. They just showed up to take measurements without any permission or scheduling a time to come visit. Never called, emailed or made contact. I only found out by calling the company on an educated guess. Absolutely not professional, illegal and a huge risk of putting an employee in a sticky confrontation. Hard to trust a company that is willing to do that. Update: When I came home from my trip I found a quote stuffed in my mailbox. Salesman didn t even bother to reach or talk to me about my lawn. Just threw me a confusing invoice sheet. Couldnt be bothered to call me before coming or talk to me about the services? Absolute worse salesman. Company didn t even bother to reach out after I talked to the receptionist. Trespassing? Rattled potential customer? We ll handle it on Monday I guess Update #2: They did not attempt to reach out. No missed calls or anything
After a year and a half with Fairway Green I discontinued their services. They didn t even care or try to make it right. The main issue was with the back yard where the lawn had a lot of weeds that we periodically remove manually, and the yellow color during the spring and summer season despite it getting enough water and was treated with compost and aeration yearly. I pointed out that my next-door neighbor has the same conditions and his is perfectly GREEN because last year they blamed it for lack of sunlight. This year I spoke with the manager about my concerns and he said that someone will contact me and will come over to look at it. Few days later I spotted via security cameras a representative walking on our property unannounced. This person never contacted me with the findings not to mention without telling us ahead about his visit. I had to call the company and after 3 attempts finally reached the manager who said that the field manager will contact me with his findings which he never did. My conclusion is: if you complain too much theyll ignore you and youll have to decide if you want to accept things as they, are or leave.

I feel compelled to share my concerns about the decline in service quality and customer support that I have observed firsthand. Just today, I witnessed a Fairway Green technician spraying only a small portion or side of my house before leaving the premises. This behavior was unprofessional and left me questioning the competence and commitment of your team. This incident is unfortunately not isolated; it represents a broader pattern of service issues. Furthermore, the customer service provided by Fairway Green has been nothing short of disappointing its practically non-existent. Attempts to provide feedback or resolve issues have been met with incompetence and lack of follow-through from your employees. Please train your employees how to handle customer feedback. This reflects poorly on the company as a whole and why many of your existing customers are leaving for your competitions. This is not the first time I have encountered such problems with Fairway Green. On a previous occasion, a technician arrived unexpectedly and trespassed my property and started spraying some chemicals that may not even be good for my type of grass, and when my spouse and I questioned the visit, your company said nothing was scheduled and suggested they might have been at the wrong location or client house an explanation that left me baffled and dissatisfied. Regrettably, I can no longer recommend Fairway Green to anyone seeking lawn care services. The decline in quality and professionalism has been tremendous, and I believe its important to share our experiences to help others avoid similar frustrations. I hope this feedback serves as an opportunity for Fairway Green company to address its shortcomings and work towards improving its services.
Almost got into an accident because the jerk driving one of these trucks decided to cut me off last minute no turn signal or anything with lots of stuff hanging off the truck.
This company is a scam. They did not perform the contracted services, but continued to charge me. They insisted the service was done, but my multiple ring cameras showed nothing was completed, there was nothing left at my door, and the grass suffered. On requesting a over the phone refund, they stated it would be handled, but never was. On escalating with other employees through email, they claimed the phone call never happened and just brushed my concerns away. They got their money and that was all that mattered. My understanding is that they dont do their own work. They only handle marketing, sales, and collections while outsourcing the work to other companies. So results may vary, but they do not stand behind the service. You may as well source a local company to deal with. Basically I got scammed, hopefully this review saves you from the same result. If they issue me a refund and make things right I will remove this review. So if you see this review realize this is an ongoing issue. DO NOT USE THEM!!! Save yourself a lot of hassle and frustration. ----------------------------------- UPDATE: Im not sure what this response is about, but they absolutely charged me for services not rendered. Services were around weed control and fertilization not mosquito treatment. I guess its not surprising to see a non-factual reply.
My backyard is so green in a certain light it looks like the surface of an alien planet!! Fairway Taught me alot of my turf types and how to properly mow them and why and how its required for results in conjunction with the service. The note on my account requests no Flags. yet every time there is a flag in my yard.

Weve used Fairway Green for years, and Id say investing in my yard with them and HVAC with another local company are the best choices Ive made as a homeowner. Reasonable prices for grass/weed maintenance, and I have to call out Shelby for being such a professional lawn care expert. Terrible communication- they lost our business today. We used them for about 7 years- amazing their Customer Service is awful. They came out to do 2 treatments 3 days apart and when we questioned it they told us we do not need to tell you it s an additional cost and you should know that. Sorry today we are done and will find another service who wants our business!

I used Fairway for several years, referred by a neighbor. My yard looked worse every year with full of weeds. I complained about the weeds and was told to wait for treatment to kick in/it takes time. This year, my yard is again full of weeds, out of control.
Two visits and my yard looks WORSE. Now Ive wasted time and monies, and have a yard FILLED with weeds. After reading reviews, it is clear that using this company is a mistake. When I addressed concern with service, they threatened to send a bill to collections. Again, this service is a waste and I absolutely do not recommend.
I was using an different lawn care service that was not performing. I have been using Fairway Green for the past year and what a great improvement and difference they have made to my yard. Great company and very good follow up.
Fairway Green folks have been magicians with our lawn. We don t know how they ve done it, but our lawn is thicker, greener, lusher, and more weed-free than it has ever been before. I keep taking pictures of it to send to our daughters I am so impressed by it.
Good over the phone service
I was a customer with Fairway Green for over 5 years. My lawn is in worse shape then when I started their service. They kept telling me that it would get better with time but there was no improvement. It only got worse. The company blamed everything on how my lawn was cut. Ok, so the quality of the service wasnt good and I stuck with them too long by giving them the benefit of the doubt. Thats on me. The 1 star rating is for the poor customer service. The technician was aware that I wanted to discuss the condition of the lawn but left without talking to me. I finally was able to at least talk to him on the phone where I wanted to share my concerns about him leaving without talking and the state of the lawn. Even though I was calm, he proceeded to get upset and yell at me. The technician, who kept saying he takes care of over 900 lawns, did not have any patience and demonstrated very poor customer service. He was appalled that I would have any questions about the condition of the lawn and concluded by saying use another service if you arent happy. No problem. My guess is he deals with a lot of unhappy customers which is why he treated me like that. In addition, it is hard to get a hold of people at this company to even discuss (or cancel) their service. I strongly suggest using any other service then Fairway Green. Update: After switching to a different service, our lawn has been incredible. Clearly, this problem was solvable.
I had a very big problem with my tree that I bought at a very high price. I sought the help of four companies to solve the trees disease, but unfortunately, none of them were able to assist or diagnose the issue. Then, I searched on Google for companies and reached an agreement with this particular company to send a specialist in tree diseases. They sent me an employee named Obada ghannam . This man amazed me with his quick diagnosis of the disease. He possesses extensive knowledge about trees and diseases, and he made me see the symptoms of my trees disease and explained the fungus that had infected it. I highly recommend hiring such wonderful individuals. He provided me with a treatment schedule for my trees disease, and today I am happy to see my tree healthy again. This tree is extremely valuable as it was planted by my family years ago, and everyone told me that I should cut it down. However, thanks to this amazing company and the outstanding employee Obada, my tree was saved due to their employment of exceptional, friendly, and highly intelligent individuals. The one service that we did receive was great. Unfortunately after we prepaid for the remainder of the year they didnt show up anymore. Called an emailed only to be told they are short on technicians but would send someone, gave me multiple dates, but no one showed. Requested a refund and will take my money elsewhere...
I prepaid fairway green for the year. They started I believe in March. My yard is not horrible looking, but there are tons of weeds. The neighbor next to me does his own fertilizing and looks 5x better. I called before to have a re-service in April and when they showed up they just told me I need to wait a year to see better results. I called again two weeks ago (June) just to have someone come out to spray weeds. They told me they would come the following week. It was 4th of July week. When Friday came and no one showed, I called to ask. They said it was a short week and I was scheduled for the following Monday. Today is that following Monday and again no one showed up. They are pretty good at coming on their scheduled times, but so hard to get someone to show up for a re-service. Update: Called Tuesday and they said they ll come Wednesday. Today is Thursday and again no one has showed up. Tried calling and left a voicemail.

I wanted to change a review that I left 2 years or so ago. I have been using Fairway Green for years. They were great and 2 years ago, they were not customer service friendly. I gave them a bad review and said I was switching companies. I looked around but did not find one I liked. I stuck with Fairway Green and they have since improved their customer service. I think it was right after the pandemic and they could not get workers. They have been great ever since. I am sorry I took so long for me to correct my rating but I wanted to make sure that I did.
Will a absolutely never do business with this company again. They are dishonest and do not follow through and do what they say they are going to.

After almost 2 seasons I have more weeds and crab grass than before I had any treatment. Update: I will be ending my relationship with Fairway Green as I feel a good deal of money spent with a lawn full of weeds all summer and lame excuses! They told me my weeds were blown over from a neighbor across the street that is diagonally across the street and the neighbor right across and next to them had none. Not only did they fail to meet expectations they insult my intelligence.

We set up a contract with Fairway Green last year to only do fungicide for the summer months and nothing else. We were very clear that we did not and never would want broadleaf herbicide on our lawn under any circumstances. The next year we were not interested in renewing our contract with them since we were switching from fescue to clover. Not only did Fairway Green come out (without notifying us at any point), they sprayed broadleaf herbicide all over our clover lawn that we had we painstakingly cultivated and killed it all. ALL OF IT. Hundreds of dollars worth of microclover seed gone. At first they were very responsive and agreed to replace the clover seed in the fall when it was time to reseed the lawn. However, when it came time to plant in the fall and we contacted the company several times by both email and phone over several weeks, we were ghosted. Not only were unwanted chemicals sprayed all over our lawn, they lied and very intentionally ignored us instead of following through. DO NOT hire Fairway Green for your yard. They are unorganized, they spray unwanted chemicals on your lawn, and are NOT reliable.
Poor experience with bush and tree care not recommended for this service- look elsewhere for shrubbery care.

Dont use their auto-pay system. It will fail to pay some months, and Fairway Green will still charge interest for the late payments caused by their system. Service itself is hit-or-miss. Ive attached a photo of a lawn after several applications weed control. Not every year is this bad, but it does raise the question of why I pay for it. The seeding service is worth it.

This guy Justin is a total rip off has no real clue about growing grass seems as though he read a book about it 5 mins before showing up. Also he had a strong scent of marijuana coming from his vehicle and off his clothes very unprofessional. The work was so terrible I watched for the first 20 mins in complete disbelief and had to leave because of how frustrated I was..... I will never use or refer this person or company again TRUE Rip Off..... He might steal your stuff so watch out

Fairway Green has put forth an excellent effort to beautify our lawn. We ve been customers for years and have never been disappointed with their service. We once had a bit of a hiccup but they responded quickly and addressed the issue to our complete satisfaction. Last fall, we converted several natural areas to grass via aeration and seeding. In less than one growing season, these areas are turf quality and looking great. I would not hesitate recommending Fairway Green to anyone in need of exceptional lawn care services.
First, we used Fairway Green for several years. Initially, we thought they were great. Our front yard looked so much better. Our back yard was a different story. They kept giving us the run around when it came to our backyard. Sometimes they told us it was because of our dogs, sometimes it was because it was a different type of grass. No, I finally caught them. They never went into the backyard but said they had AND CHARGED us for it. When I called, the manager called me a liar and said his employee had been there a very long time and would never do that. Now, I am all for supporting your employees. However, I saw this with my own eyes. They did come back and apply product to the backyard that same day. We gave them another chance. We continued to have issues with our back yard, but were never home when they came. Finally we were home again and yet again they did not apply product to our backyard. When my husband called the manager to discuss it, the manager yelled at my husband! This is a shady company with poor customer service.
My technician Kyle was very professional and communicated well. We knew ahead of time when he would arrive. He let us know when he was here to start the work and then gave us instructions for our pets enjoyment of the lawn.
Had a competitive company for a couple years and they completely ruined my lawn. Fairway not only repaired my lawn but made it the best in my area. Constantly getting compliments on it. Very satisfied with Fairway Green.

Fairway Green has been a very good company to work with for many years. Their technicians are knowledgeable, professional and have provided consistent service with broadleaf weed control, fertilization and annual core aeration of our bermuda turf. They have always responded in a timely manner when questions or concerns arise. I especially like the annual pre-pay option. One invoice in January covers all applications and even aeration for the year.

Reviewer readers, beware! So, I started a lawn fertilization and weed control service with Fairway Green this year (2022) after being a Customer of Eastern Turf Maintenance for a few years. After multiple communication glitches from the Servicing Dept, (Not coming when they confirm and then not making me aware of the cancellation etc.) as well as the originally quoted price to treat the lawn then being looked to be raised on me after I already prepaid for the season, I am dropping this company and would not recommend them from my experience. They sent Thomas out to review and measure the lawn in person originally, he quoted me a price which I then moved forward on and took advantage of their prepay option for the entire season. After one visit I get another call from Thomas saying he needs to come back and confirm / re-measure the yard as he may have made a mistake or left the back yard out of the original quote figure. (Mind you I actually walked the property when they came out initially and when the guy measured.) Long story short, in the end Thomas states Fairway Green would not be able to treat my yard for the price they originally quoted and my service was cancelled on me. What a rig-a-ma-roll this has been. I will be going back services with Eastern Turf Maintenance as they always showed up on time, when they said they would and stood by their price quote etc. Never again... Good Luck Fairway Green. I can not believe this scenario from a reputable company.
Weve had Fairway Green for many years after consistent failures with weedman, ETM, truegreen and others. While weve had a few hiccups along the way, Fairway will quickly correct, educate and respond with the upmost of professionalism. Prior years we only used for yard weed and feed and added shrubbery and ornamental this season. We have already noticed the azealas green up and the fungus dissipating. The techs also contact the day before as they know we have dogs. They are respectful of our property and always place a tag with date/time so that we know they are there. We constantly have people stop us to ask who we use or what we do to maintain such a gorgeous lawn. When people post on Next-door, I just tell them to drive by and look at my lawn, the results speak louder than words!!

I have used Fairway green for the last 4 years. I have been very happy with my service till this year. I know it is hard to find workers but I have been asking for a month. A month for someone to spray the nutsedge in my yard. The manager came out and said, your next service is in 2 days. He will spot treat it. He did not. I called again and waited 6 day more days. Still no one. I had a problem with a fungus on my bushes. I called twice about that. They finally got back to me but said that the heat was making it worse but he would respray it. If they had taken care of it when I asked the first time, The heat would not have been so bad and my bushes would have lost a lot less leaves. I am going to be looking for a new lawn care program,.
Service was ok. Need to apply fertilizer more frequently for Bermuda. Turned brown too much throughout the summer even with good watering. I m now following SuperSods recommendation for yearly lawn chemicals which I ve been happy with so far.

My lawn looks worse than my neighbors who dont have any service. After complaining about weeds for over 6 years, I have had enough I will be cancelling my service and do it myself. It cant be any worse ...
They did a poor job of applying pre-emergent to my yard in the Spring of 2022. They applied two applications. When the weather warmed up I had poanna and Dallis grass throughout my back yard. After leaving numerous voice mails, two weeks later some called me back. There was nothing they could do because it was already past the application time for pre-emergent. The area manager would not meet me at my home to review the condition of the yard. He recommended I use a hammer claw to pull up the dallis grass. Why would I do that? I paid you over $160 for pre-emergent. I canceled their services for my yard. I thought I was through with them. Then they show up in Sept 2022 to apply another treatment. I called left message, to tell them I cancelled the service. Waiting to hear a response.
My lawn looks FANTASTIC since Fairway Green has taken over! They have been very responsive when an additional treatment was needed. The technician, Chris, is very thorough and provides observations and suggestions for needed care. Frankly, my lawn has never looked better! I wouldn t hesitate to recommend Fairway Green.

Used fairway for about 5 years. Took them from a N Raleigh property, to our new Wake Forest property and noticed a big drop in quality. The move also led to a new technician as well. Was very happy, but recently switched to Davenport.
My experience so far has been wonderful. The salesman is knowledgeable, professional and helpful.
Generally do a decent job. In my opinion I feel that the Tech. Is always in a hurry to get in and get out. Does not good a good job in taking his time and making sure lawn is fully covered with chemicals being used. Have had to call a few times and complain. Last time serviced several weeds still showed in yard. However, they do follow up and retinue calls. Have yet to decide if I will continue service. My try someone else or do myself.

I was very apprehensive about using an outside company for lawn maintenance as I ve always done this myself. My sprayer went down and a pump was going to takes weeks due to the blockage of the Suez Canal a few months back so I gave it a shot. I could not be happier so far. Brandon is the guy that sprays my lawn and he is prompt and goes well above and beyond. I have replaced my sprayer pump but I will continue to use Fairway for the foreseeable future. Thank you guys.

*UPDATE*: They did come back out and make amends for the mistakes that were made previously. Every company makes mistakes. It is how you handle them that matters. Updated to reflect this. In short, this company does not stand behind their service and has terrible customer service. They charged me for a service for a full year, did not provide the service promised, and mishandled their mistakes at every turn. In full detail, I signed up for fairway green a year ago. I have a mix of fescue and Bermuda grass. At the time I signed up, I was told they would spray a unique mix to treat my grass and help promote the Bermuda grass, which was my desired outcome. Because a prepay discount was offered, I prepaid for the entire first year. At the first application, they sprayed for fescue. I called in and asked for them to correct this at the next application. Every single time they did a treatment, they sprayed for fescue, always telling me theyd fix it the next time they came out. That never happened. At the end of the prepaid year, I cancelled my service. I explained why I was cancelling and that I was unhappy with my service. They assured me they would call me back to resolve this issue. I never received a call... until a year later when today they attempted to solicit my business. I explained the poor experience I had and rather than attempting to offer an apology for their failure, they simply said okay, and hung up. Looking for a lawn service that values their customers? Go elsewhere.
I used their service for exactly a year now both me and my next door neighbor and I would not recommend this company to anyone. comparing to all the other neighbors we have much more weed and even when I reported that they its a special weed type, which was there during their visits but never tried to treat it until I complained. and even when I complained they said they sprayed those special weeds and it should disappear in a month but it actually got much worse from there. I dont think they have any experience or knowledge in what they are doing. very bad service
Fairway Green treated my neighbors yard (a small patch of grass in front). The Fairway Green tech fumigated so much chemical I could smell it up on my front porch ( a distance away) as well as in my backyard. I went out to ask the technician why so much chemical smell he looked out of it, barely responsive. I called Fairways office and was told a manager would contact me about this, they never called. The treatment also occurred on a high humid day with rain in forecast. I wouldnt recommend this company. A couple days later another neighbor had their lawn treated by a different business Joe and there wasnt the tremendous chemical smell which makes me wonder how well Fairway Greens techs are trained and how safe their applications are if it is over done, or not done properly or according to the regulations about pesticide use and apllication. Terrible experience!!

We have had Fairway Green take care of our lawn for probably 10 years now (maybe more). We like them because they keep up with the lawn maintenance schedule, provide yearly aeration and reseeding, and keep us informed about the condition of our lawn. Even better, the grass seed that they use, Southern Perfection, produces grass that has proven to be super resistant to brown spot fungus. Our next door neighbor had a horrible outbreaks of brown spot fungus all over their yard, but when the fungus got to the edge of our yard it stopped in its tracks; it didnt enter our yard. I attribute that to a variety of grass that is very resistant to brown spot and good maintenance from Fairway Green. Thanks for all of the years of help with our lawn!
my yard looked worse after 2 years of service and I used to be the envy of the neighborhood. I had to call for re-application because the weeds got so bad. It was hardly a customized or effective treatment plan (for both Bermuda and Fescue) and now Im spending more time and money to re-establish my lawn again. I will beat a Fairway Lawn!
I highly recommend Fairway Greens! I have had them for many years, made the mistake one year of moving to a competitor which I so regretted. Moved right back to them as their service is consistent and professional and my lawn looks great!
Not a great experience at all! I had a golf course looking sodded fescue lawn until August and after fungicide treatment every blade of grass in my yard was dead. Their response was that the treatment only lasts 25 days and why didnt I call them. They aerated and seeded which resulted in a very poor success rate. They made really poor attempts to repair by throwing seed on top of the ground without roughing up ground. Definitely would not recommend Fairway Green! Their poor quality of service will cost me 15k in new sod.
Fairway Green started fertilizing and aerating my yard back in 2012. Quickly the weeds were gone and the grass was lush and thick. The yearly consistent treatments have kept my yard beautiful! Their communication has been fantastic. I would highly recommend!!
Landscaping is a passion of mine. The foundation of any landscape is the lawn. Fairway Green keeps my grass weed free, green, thick like a carpet, and looking beautiful. Its the best money I spend all year. And it doesnt hurt that people brag on my lawn either. I highly recommend Fairway Green.

Nope it was from the lackluster fertilizer application i have paid for the fungicide treatments you provided o have received better service since my last call in.
Unfortunately, we have experienced next-to-no-success after three-years as a paying client. We have added every additional service suggested to us, while our lawn has been going the wrong direction since we signed up; never better. While I want to be confident in their services, I have lost faith in their expertise.
We have been 100% satisfied with the service we have received for 8 years. Fairway Green does the Fall planting and everything thru all the Seasons to keep our yard looking beautiful.

My lawn looks worse since they started. The sales guy said it was a no contract pay as I go service, however they schedule your service and bill you with out you actually calling for an appointment. I have called them twice now and have not received a call back. The office girl is very helpful but its lost after her. Sales and management does not return calls.
Fairview has been caring for our lawn for over a year and a half and promised great results...however, this is what our lawn looks like after all the money spent. We must have been part of a study and gotten the placebo. We no longer use Fairview Green as they did NOT deliver what they promised.
We paid for a year and had to call them every time because they would never come out unless we called. Can t wait to hire a service that doesn t need to be reminded to come and do the work that we pay them for. Never again.

I have been a customer of Fairway Green for some years now. I like that I can call and get information about my yard and what I could do to address specific items on my own. During one of their last visits, the technician Anthony was kind enough to help me get some of the leaves I had been raking out of the way before he proceeded. This was above and beyond what he was commissioned to do and I greatly appreciate it! I also received a follow-up visit from Sam Simpson who was very kind and informative. He took the time to answer questions and give recommendations.

Fire ants got to go treatment
We use one of their technicians and he consistently performs exceptionally. He calls when he is supposed to, shows up as planned or calls or text if there is an issue. Provides guidance for lawn care and straight talk about what he thinks is needed versus what is scheduled. When it is 100 deg in july there is no reason to do applications and we work together to either eliminate that service or apply it in the fall when the turf is ready for treatment. If you are using a service for your lawn, Fairway Green has been exceptional. For about $400 a year it is worth it.

Fairway Green destroyed my lawn. I hired them to make my lawn thicker with a Fall seeding. They aerated the front (good job.) But, without permission, they killed EVERY blade of grass in my backyard. Overnight, my yard went from a green oasis, which my neighbors and regular gardener can confirm, to a red clay desert. At first, Fairway Green promised to make it right. But, after a couple of seedings (the yard is on a hill and there has been lots of rain) they have determined that they cant do anything else to fix it because they dont sod. Meanwhile, my backyard has half as much grass as it did last Fall. And, I am probably going to have to sod it myself. This company is terrible and I wish I could give them a negative star count.
We have tried several services for treating our lawn, and Fairway Green is hands down, the BEST service weve had. We have those crazy wild onions that grow in our yard and they are finally going away for good! Our lawn looks great. The staff is easy to work with and flexible on scheduling. We could not be happier!

Would not recommend these guys for fireant control. Hired them in February and in September I still have fireants in my yard. They guaranteed 3 months full control and that product is good for a year. The ants never went away after the first sprayed. Had them come out for a second time, still didnt go away. After the third time they came out, their staff told me to buy some ant spray from Lowes to help with the process, and even after their third time coming out and ants still werent gone, I asked for a manager, the manager was nice and came out again and did a very thorough job spraying for all kinds of bugs and notified us that we had a bee hive in the backyard and sprayed that. That was really the only good experience about this but even after the fourth time of them spraying are yard, we still have ant hills in our yard. Cutting my losses at this point, they dont know what they are doing and either way I will be going with a different company next year.

They have been doing our yard maintenance for years. Price is very reasonable. We have Bermuda grass and when it goes dormant the yard is practically weed free. I have only had an issue one or twice and they always promptly come back.
First treatment of the season and left gates open ( I have dogs) and knocked over multiple landscaping lights ( hardwired installation) called and asked for someone to call me about this. After 3 weeks no reply, I called again took a day to get back to me. Operations manager called and left message apologizing and asked for me to call back. I called back within 5 mins and he his response was why are you calling me again? Claimed he would take care of it, he will speak to technician. That he thought the girls up front took care of the problem. Really so important you didn t even know why I was calling after 5 mins??? Why no follow up to make sure problem was handled? I have used this company for years and it s going downhill. Very upset how his was handled and I was feed a line of garbage that it will be taken care of. Three weeks is not acceptable for a phone about a problem.
We used Fairway Green for several years, and our lawn has steadily deteriorated during that time - we now have huge bare patches in several different places. I called them out for a diagnosis, but the guy seemed clueless and said there wasnt anything they could do. This raises the question of why the heck I am paying them hundreds of dollars each year for my lawn to slowly die off, so when my annual renewal notice came several weeks ago, I tossed it in the trash. FG came out anyway and serviced my lawn. I notified them to stop, and now they are dunning me for the the work! They claim I didnt cancel until after the work was done, thus I owe them the $40, even though I never renewed our contract. Were moving on to another lawn company.

I was referred to Fairway Green by a coworker and they been taking care of my lawn for the past three years. They do a great job with weed control and keeping my lawn healthy and green. The service was good for a while. Then it seemed the technician changed or the products were not as good because the weeds were getting out of control. Multiple reapplications followed and then I was told that the winter would have to kill off weeds. From the beginning, I had requested a notification for service. During my last service, I was not notified and I called to voice my complaint. The manager said that the tech called me and I disagreed. There was no other concern brought up during the call. A week later I called to pay for the service and the kind lady on the phone said she couldnt find my account and she would get back to me. When she called back, she said that the manager, the one I had spoken to before, cancelled my account and the charges dropped. What do you know? How can you get fired from a service provider?

I have been using Fairway Green for 2 years to help get my centipede lawn in shape. The have treated it 6 times a year and it is looking very good. There are some areas I need to work on, but their applications have kept the weeds down and helped the centipede spread. Highly recommend them.

Competitively priced versus other companies. Number of additional services available if needed. No pressure sales, no door-to-door sales pitch like certain companies. Always willing to come back for a proactive appointment outside your regularly scheduled plan if you contact them with concerns. Our builder put down a really poor sod product that never took in a lot of areas. While that isnt Fairways responsibility, what they are able to do with the good sod that we have helps take your mind off the poor areas. Pre-and post-emergent weed control has worked wonderfully too. Would highly recommend them to anyone.

We have been working with Fairway Green for the past two years and overall, have been very pleased with the results. The fertilization and weed suppression administered in January and February 2018 have produced an impressively lush lawn - better than it has ever been in 15 years at this house. More importantly, the people are great to work with, particularly our regular technician, Erik. He unfailingly calls me the day before he is scheduled to come out, and lets me know his arrival time so he can walk the property with me before the application and answer every question I put to him. We highly recommend this company!

We had Fairway Green for a bit over two years and we are very disappointed to say the least. A lot of time and money wasted. Our Bermuda lawn is a disaster now, overgrown with all sorts of weeds, including broadleaf weeds and Dallis. Bermuda itself is patchy, weak and disappearing. We had a better lawn before we hired them. For the first year we were hopeful, as they always tell you to wait, it is a process, it takes time. For the second year, we were telling them that more weeds are coming, weeds, that we did not use to have, and seemingly people in the neighborhood do not have, even immediate neighbors. Fairway Green told us their usual tales about how hard it is to control weeds, and how the weather is especially bad that year, etc, etc. One technician told me, that if I want to get rid of Dallis grass I should just Round up it myself. If you are a lawn company, you should be aware of the challenges, and should deal with them accordingly. This year, after usual two applications--feeding and pre-emergent--the lawn is even worse. Please see the pictures. People that see our lawn cannot believe that we are actually paying for this. We cancelled them today and the person on the phone said very cheerfully: Oh, OK, sorry. Do not hire Fairway Green, unless you want to see a lot weeds and empty dry patches on your lawn, smth like in the pictures attached.

Would love to share how their service is but I am unable. A few neighbors use their service and recommended them to us. We requested a quote and waited over a week to no avail. The customer service was great when we called back but we aren t comfortable using a service who forgot us.
Will randomly apply unwanted services without authorization or even asking then charge for the service...I am not on any service plan....Well apparently I was on a plan...but still the one service they applied should only be done every 12 months. I paid but its the last $ they will get out of me!
Fairway has been servicing my lawn for about 10 years- seed every year and they apply quarterly weed control and fertilizer, and antifungal treatments in the summer. Its working great. Great service and support.
I did not give it a one or two stars, because for the first two years of service everything seemed fine and we were happy. Over the last six months, however, we noticed a lot of weeds growing in our lawn that did not seem to be affected by the treatments used by the company. When we called the company about it, they gave a couple of excuses why it may be happening, but said they would be back out on our normal service schedule to try to abate the weeds. It didn t work. Recently, my wife happen to see a technician spraying another lawn in our area, and asked if they could come treat our lawn for the weeds that were not being killed by the treatments. The technician was bothered by the request, and treated my wife rudely. We are paying the company nearly $1000 a year to do one thing, and one thing only: stop weeds from growing in our lawn. Whatever has been going on lately with the company, is far different than the first two years of service we experienced. We canceled our service today. If you re reading this, I hope your experience is better I have nothing against the company in general, and like I said the first several years of service were fine. But we experienced a rather abrupt change in its effectiveness and how our concerns were handled.
Fairway Greens came automatically for over a year to handle all lawn requirements. However, neighbors s lawns look as good if not better than my lawn with using only using retail products. Although I called several times to complain and a manager came to my home, nothing was resolved to improve my lawn even though I was willing to pay for additional applications. Also paid for shrub and tree fertilization which just seemed a waste of money.
Fairway Green helped me learn so much about my lawn and how to improve it. We have enjoyed our experience with their service and knowledge. I recommend them and will use them with our next home. They are always available for any questions.
I apologize for not reviewing sooner. Fairway Green has been servicing our lawn for over ten years. At first, I figured I could do it myself and ended up paying more and it still didnt look good. It is February and my lawn looks great. People compliment our yard all the time and it is due to the great care. What most people dont realize is that it doesnt happen overnight and actually can take years to change a weed and disease infested lawn into lush grass. Thank you Markese!
Awesome company with Great customer service! We have a Bermuda lawn that was infested with foreign grasses. The staff was very informative about what to expect and the process. It took a couple of treatments as they had said, but now our Bermuda is weed free and starting to green up beautifully. They also gave some great advice on watering and mowing reccomendations which was much needed as we have recently relocated from the Mid-West. They offer a level of service that is hard to find in todays world.

Our last lawn service was a disappointment. By the end of the first year, we had no lawn left. We have an in-ground sprinkler system and spent a fortune on water with no results. So far, Fairway Green has been a huge success. Last fall and this spring theyve worked miracles with over-seeding, fertilizing, and weed control. We have a real lawn again. They have excellent customer service. I have found them to be very helpful when Ive asked questions. I appreciate that they gave us a realistic appraisal of the issues we have. Theyre good people.
I recently requested a quote to have my lawn treated. There was an issue with my original (quote) measurement and the manager came out personally to address the issue. I feel like he gave me a fair price compared to the other companies I priced. Ill update at a later time after giving the treatments a fair time to work.

Fairway Green killed my established centipede grass in my front yard and patched the lawn with blocks of Bermuda grass and I had to water it and pay the high water bill. I have many before and after pictures. After I complained and cussed excessively the lawn was replaced with centipede sod.
Last year and in prior years I treated my main Bermuda Grass lawn myself using commercially available products, heavily overseesed it at the appropriate time, and it looked really good. Also early last year I had some sections of my property professionally stripped, skimmed, new topsoil added and then sodded with high-grade Bermuda sod - the entire property was looking very good by Fall. This year, due to my advancing age, I decided to contract with Fairway Green to maintain my lawns - I had heard good reviews. What a mistake! The treatments, on the random occasions they happened, took their guy less than 15 minutes, - I am retired and was home each time. Within 3 months I had clumps of foreign grasses, weeds, and broadleaf plants growing in my main lawn, with brown spots and apparently dying grass. In the new sections sodded last year the grass is spindly and shows brown near the ground and also appears to be struggling to survive. I called and asked for help. A supervisor came out a week later and told me, in a tone that implied I was stupid not to know, that I had brown patch and dollar spot, and when I asked why I hadnt been offered a suggestion for them to treat the problem I was told that we dont usually do that, but we can but that Id be better off doing it (myself). I asked why I had them as my lawn service if that was the case, but got a very unsatisfactory answer. I also asked why my neighbors grass, which blends into mine, looked great and mine didnt (they use a competitor). I got a shrug as he walked back to his vehicle. Yesterday I called to cancel my service, and the (truly delightful and very professional) receptionist asked if I would be willing to have the manager call me to discuss my reasons. I agreed. In summary I was told by the manager that I obviously dont read their newsletter (?), that the product I had bought to treat my brown spot was junk (I havent used it yet) and that theirs was better, that most of their advice falls on deaf ears, that I didnt know what I was doing, and an implication was made that pmy grass was doing fine. So, Im stupid, gullible, naive, complaining for no reason, and dont listen. I told him to just cancel my service and not to call again. DO NOT use there people, unless of course you want your grass to die and to be insulted.
Kevin with Fairway Green was awesome! He came out and gave me a great assessment of what is needed on our property, we have a large lot with different section that needed different care plans. Kevin walked the whole property with me and came up with a seasonal plan as well as helped me identify the different grasses throughout the property. Cant recommend them enough!

Had Fairway Green do my fertilizer & weed control. This fall I thought I would have them ariate & reseed for me. They cost more than a lot of the people that come around but I thought they would do the best. WRONG! I have bare spots and low germination rate. I have irrigation so it wasn t that I didn t keep it watered. I called about it last week & said it was more than just a couple of bare patches. I was told they would be out this week & redo my service and would call the day before so I could mark my irrigation heads. I came home the next day after calling them & they just came that day. All they did was scratch up a couple of places & toss out a little seed. Not what I was told they would do. Very disappointing!
I originally hired Fairway Green in September 2016 to aerate and seed the lawn at my rental property and signed up for their annual service plan in January to maintain the health of my lawn. As an out-of-state property manager, I was hoping they would be a trustworthy service provider that would do quality work even if I could not be there no constantly monitor their work. Unfortunately, that was not the case with them. Things were going reasonable well with the lawn care until this past May when my tenant notified me that the grass appeared to be dying in certain areas, so I contacted Fairway Green for assistance in diagnosing and treating whatever was affecting the lawn. Initially, they advised that some type of fungus was afflicting the grass and would need to be treated to prevent it from killing the whole yard, so I scheduled a fungicide treatment. However, the day before my appointment, they confirmed they would apply the fungicide as requested but told me that much of the damage was being caused by heat stress and therefore there was not much that could be done other than to aerate and reseed the lawn a few months later. Based on his advise, I did not request any subsequent fungus treatments nor did they recommend that I do so. Since then, my lawn has kept deteriorating, yet they kept applying the treatments that were part of the service plan but were obviously having no effect. (See attached photos from end of July. Please excuse the duplicates. I was having technical issues when attaching the photos.) I contact them to question the utility of these treatments and to complain about the fact that, after about a year of their services, my lawn had never been in worse shape. In response, I was put in contact with one of their technicians, who claimed I should have arranged for a follow-up fungus treatment after the one they applied in June, thus insinuating that I was to blame for the poor outcome with my lawn. But they NEVER advised me to do so, and in fact this contradicted what their senior technician told me at that time of the first fungus treatment (i.e., not much could be done due to the heat stress). At that point, I was frustrated with all their conflicting inputs and about having paid good money for their annual service plan only to see the health of my lawn deteriorate so badly on their watch. When I requested that they cancel my service plan and give me a full refund, the technician referred me to the companys operations manager. It took me over 2 weeks to get a hold of the operations manager after multiple attempts to contact him, which I definitely didnt appreciate. When I explicitly asked him to issue a full refund and cancel my service, and he agreed to do so unequivocally. However, a few weeks later, I got a check in the mail from them for only a quarter of the amount I had originally paid for my service plan. When I called him back to find out what was going on, he stated that they were refunding me for the remaining portion of my service plan and that they would absolutely not refund what I had paid for the work they had performed already. This was despite the fact that he agreed to issue a full refund during our earlier phone conversations without any qualifications similar to what he was now providing. (I dont know what else full refund could possibly have meant in the context of our prior conversations.) Of course, I disputed his assertions along the lines of what I described here but to no avail. So basically, I ended up losing about $200 on services that were of absolutely no use in maintaining the health of my lawn. To top it all off, I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with an operations manager who did a very poor job of handling my case. If you need professional lawn care services, I would strongly recommend that you save yourself the time, money and headaches and look for another service provider. You will be doing yourself a huge favor.

Im a new customer to Fairway Green. After firing my prior (large national) lawn care provider because they didnt show up when scheduled and were unsuccessful in improving the quality of my lawn, I contacted Fairway Green. I was impressed with the prompt service from receiving a quote from Kenny to my first fertilizer and weed control service appointment. I am hopeful that Fairway Green will earn my continued business for years to come.

7 months ago, I called Fairway Green and told them that after 3 years of service, our yard did not look like the way we had envisioned it to be once we decided to let the pros service it. They immediately sent two people to our home to inspect the lawn, the dirt, the nutrients and anything else they could evaluate and came up with a game plan that would restore our lawn back to our expectations. They didnt look for excuses but rather solutions to help solve the issues. As it turned out, the winter played havoc with our Bermuda lawn and Kevin and his team nurtured it back to a beautiful lawn by the fall in the same year. They have always been friendly, courteous and professional but, they will always go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied. Im proud to recommend Fairway Green to all my neighbors.

Ive used Fairway Green for about 5-6 years now. My lawn has been in excellent condition. They come on schedule and get things done and the grass seems to be doing well. I havent had any complaints. Also, if I need any advice they are always ready to help out with tips. Would highly recommend them.
Last year we were fighting about 12 different varieties of weeds in our centipede lawn. We had crabgrass, spurge, dandelions, broadleaf, wild onion and a variety of others. We tried all the garden store products and even hand pulled the spurge and dug out the wild onion. That was fun! When the weeds started to completely take over we called Fairway Green and didnt hesitate trying them because they dont require a contract, and they are very reasonably priced. Within two months of using FG most of the weeds were gone. A year later our lawn is one of the best looking lawns in the neighborhood. We have almost zero weeds and the grass is lush and green. I also like that they evaluate the lawn condition during each visit and provide us with hand written notes about what they recommend going forward. They have never pushed extra services or treated more often than they should. I would and have highly recommended Fairway Green!
Weve been customers for ten years now. Good customer service, lawn looks great-they use the proper amount of fertilizer treatment, never burned. The Southern Perfection fescue grass seed is the best sun/shade mix-they deliver the bags, and I seed the lawn myself.
Worst lawn service!!! If you want a lawn full of weeds then you selected the right lawn service!!! If you would like to reseed your lawn every year because weeds have taken over then you selected the right service!!!!
I am SO impressed with this company! The techs are very knowledgeable and willing to explain anything I need about my yard. They just Aerated and Seeded my lawn, & it has never looked better!! Even spots that had been previously difficult to grow grass in are beautiful and green now, its night & day. Their customer service is top notch, & it is obvious that the quality of their products are as well. If you are in search of a reliable, locally owned company who takes pride in their work & are true to their word, then THESE ARE THE GUYS!!
I have been a customer for about 3 years and I am very happy. They do a good job with fertilizer and weed control. I would recommend them. Their prices for aerating and reseeding is too high for me so I dont have them do that. But their other services are very good.

Chose Fairway Green on a recommendation from a neighbor. Since I brought them on in late March they have done two regular treatments. In late June (a month since their last treatment) I started seeing brown in my yard I called them on June 28 to have them investigate. Someone came out on July 1st to take a look. Rather than leaving a note with recommendations they called and left a half message. By the time I spoke with a person on July 3rd, they couldnt come out for a treatment for Brown Patch until July 8 (10 days from my first call). Meanwhile my yard had gotten worse and continues to get worse. Perhaps even more frustrating was that the manager I spoke with on July 3 suggested that I just let the lawn go and they could aerate and overseed in the fall. REALLY? Not sure how I still havent had a regular treatment since the end of May. Not satisfied.
I have been with Fairway Green going on 8 or more years. Noel has been the best at giving me the best advice. Michael our lawn technician is always on time and very professional. I get more compliments on our lawn every year. Many neighbors that walk thru our community are afraid to walk on our lawn. They always state it looks too good to walk on. Just a note it takes PATIENCE to get the yard we have. That is the best advice I was given by Noel when we signed on with Fairway Green of Raleigh. Thank you Noel, Michael, & Kevin for the best yard I have ever had. Will always reccomend you to everyone I talk to about our yard.
