I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by Peter and his team, and I feel compelled to share my experience. Since hiring them, I’ve noticed ongoing issues with their lack of care and attention to detail. Most recently, their actions caused significant damage to multiple vehicles on my property. Part of my driveway has loose gravel in the area where the cars are parked, and it is standard practice to exercise caution and avoid blowing rocks toward vehicles. However, this has not been the case with Peter's crew. On one occasion, I came home early from work to find rocks scattered all over my cars. Upon reviewing footage from the security cameras installed on my property, it was clear that some of his workers were blowing directly at the vehicles, causing loose rocks to hit them. This has resulted in hundreds of chips and dings across several vehicles, leaving them permanently damaged. When I brought the matter to Peter’s attention, he dismissed it, stating that "this happens all the time." Not only is this an unacceptable response, but it also highlights a lack of accountability and professionalism. I have never encountered anything like this with previous vendors. To make matters worse, he filed a claim with his insurance company, but Peter denied any fault to his insurance company, resulting in the claim being declined. Why even file a claim if your not going to accept fault? I was asked to send videos to his agent Cindy Halloway with Eerie Insurance and over the course of 2 months I spoke to her on the phone once and received no email back. The insurance they use is a joke so if they cause damages, good luck! The lack of responsibility from Peter and his team is deeply frustrating. These damages are irreversible, and the carelessness displayed is simply unacceptable. I strongly advise others to reconsider before hiring this company.
I have absolutely nothing to say but utter praise for Lawncrafters. Peter and his fantastic team took my property that was poorly developed without any forethought of drainage and constructed a magnificent rock river and rock bed to alleviate all our drainage issues and then created a magnificent garden area. Neighbors are always asking to look at my backyard for ideas of what they'd like to create with their property. And as they look, i always sing Peter's praises. i look forward to working with the team every spring when i get new ideas of what I'd like to try in my garden.
LawnCrafters have performed a variety of yard services for us over the past 5 years including seasonal lawn maintenence and irrigation system updating as well as chip bed renovation to replace overgrown plantings with attractive new plants and shrubs. Peter was incredibly helpful in suggesting new plantings that are deer resistant and work well with the sun and shade areas in our yard. Peter also designed and installed a stone pathway on the side of our house that has no sun and was always more dirt than grass, using a combination of natural slate stones and river rock that looks great and is very practical too. We highly recommend Peter and his LawnCrafters services.

LawnCrafters has been maintaining our lawn and gardens for many years. They are excellent! The work they have been doing for us runs from lawn care to creating gardens and walkways, creating water drains and runoffs, planting and trimming trees and overseeding. I highly recommend them.
Peter and his crew have been maintaining our yard years. They are a full service crew keeping grass edged, green and weed free. They maintain and trim all or shrubbery and plant or remove anything we ask for. Irrigation is also watched closely by Peter and adjusted accordingly. Communication is great. Always feels good to come home to a well manicured and healthy yard.

I met Peter about 7 years ago at the Ace Hardware in our neighborhood, and asked him to come take a look at my yard. He took over doing all of the yardwork, trimming bushes, chemicals, and aeration. Ive really enjoyed working with Peter over the years and our yard looks great! His team works hard and I can trust them to take care of things.

Peter Hufland has been with me since I moved to Raleigh four years ago. He was recommended by the previous owner and was with that family for over a decade I believe. He is a graduate of NC State with a degree in landscape management. Therefore, he is very knowledge about plants and lawns in this area. The feature I like most about Peter is his willingness to spend time answering my questions. I mow my lawn and prune the shrubs myself because I am retired and have the time. Peter has treated the fescue for Brown Patch fungus and insects. He also aerates, fertilizes, and applies the seed every fall and spring. He has adjusted the irrigation and taught me along the way so I can now do most of the sprinkler maintenance myself. On the lawn he uses only the highest quality products and this really makes a difference. When others were losing their lawns this summer, due to the Army Worm infestation, he quickly came out and treated our fescue to prevent any damage whatsoever. He even supplied me with literature about Army Worms. I am giving Peter my highest recommendation.

I engaged with Peter from LawnCrafters, LLC for a lawn project. Initially, Peter seemed attentive, spending time discussing my needs. However, the quote provided later didnt reflect our discussions. Despite agreeing on the scope, communication was lacking, with no updates until I reached out. The completion took over a month, with only part of the job done well. Peter admitted underestimating the work but didnt adjust the quote or finish the job. His arrogant texting style and failure to follow through make me hesitant to recommend their service. Honest communication and accountability were sorely lacking.

I called Peter, the owner, twice, to do some yard work. Twice, he never called me back. My friend, who uses his services, gave him my number and told him to call me. After two weeks, he told my friend that he couldnt get through. Thats baloney... my phone works fine. This guy just doesnt call people back. Whats up with that?!! How do people stay in business when theyre so rude and inconsiderate that they cannot be bothered to return calls.
