LawnStarter Lawn Care Service in Providence

I first got a text from "Steve" saying he would call me, then when I got a call it was from a woman and it took 45 minutes for her to get the info, I finally got "approved" and she said there were multiple teams in the area that could do it, for them to email me a day before (they ask for 48 hours notice if you make changes) saying my request was canceled because they had no available teams to do it. Horrible service and apparently they are either a bunch of liars or they don't know how to do their jobs. Would never try to use this service again completely unprofessional.

These guys have a phony “$19 deal” that they spammed me with. Their internet forms were broken and would not give me a legit quote. I eventually was able to speak with a human at their office who confirmed, not only is the $19 promo fake, but they would not even be quoting my lawn because, “according to Google maps, it’s too big”. Lol, I live in a very small single family house, not a large yard at all. And they still won’t stop spamming my phone with the fake promo.

Their regular price is $50, according to them. I was charged $155.65 for the job that wasn’t even done. I called to find out what was going on. They were rude and very unprofessional. I was called a lair. Please stay away!!!

I waited for weeks and weeks. They kept canceling appointments. They pressure to leave positive reviews on sites for discounts off of your service BEFORE THE SERVICE IS DONE! Most likely why they have a lot of positive reviews.

My partner spoke to LawnStarter last Tuesday to set up a new account for our lawn care, as he has a broken ankle and cannot mow as usual. The phone service was nice enough and they set up our first mow guaranteed for Wednesday-Friday. We were out of town Friday due to a death in the family and when we arrived home Saturday night, the yard hadn't been touched. Today we spoke to them today only to be told that there were no crews in our area on the days discussed, so the job and our account were canceled. There was no communication from LawnStarter regarding this and no attempt to reschedule. On the phone, there was no empathy for the inconveniences caused and no offers to do anything to make it right. With such poor customer service, it's clear you don't value anyone's time but your own.

Timely, detailed, and top notch service. Christopher cut our lawn and it’s made our curb appeal sky rocket. He cleaned the edges by the fencing and even took care of the tree box on the sidewalk w/o being asked. Highly recommend!

I love the services from Lawnstarters. Byron my lawn man is amazing. He takes great pride in his work and it shows. He keeps you informed of when he's coming and arrives. Highly recommend his work.
