We had a great experience with Timberland Landscaping. Shasta and Zachary did a great job designing our layout and guiding us to the right things since my husband and I don't know much about landscaping. Our yard is definitely one of kind in our neighborhood and we are very happy with the results. They fixed and repaired things from our sprinkler system as they were working through our project and were responsive to all questions we had! It took them about 1.5 days from start to finish and the work was top notch. Highly recommend Timberland Landscaping!
We hired Timberland to redo landscaping around most of our house, install a large paver patio and walkway, plant trees and replant grass. They did a great job for a fair price and were easy to work with. In particular, they did a great job with the patio installation, which was especially challenging. Elevations had to be exactly right to match the entrance to the garage, the heights of multiple landings for a deck that hadn't been built yet had to be matched from a print, and there needed to be proper slope for water run-off. On top of this, there were several last minute changes due to the deck design. Their lead installer (Dillon) made this all come out perfectly and rolled with the changes. They also regraded a portion of the yard and sprayed in grass seed. I kept it watered well and it now looks better than the rest of the lawn after just two weeks. I also thought Shasta (either the owner or manager) offered really good and practical advice when we discussed options on the project. He often steered us towards the option that made the most sense rather than the one that was the most expensive. We really appreciated how they did our patio and landscaping and are outside enjoying as much as we can yet this season!
If you need large amount of residential landscaping look no further. These guys do high quality work. They communicate well and follow up is outstanding. If you can wait for them as their schedule fills up quick. I am adding a follow up from last year review. The true testimony of a good quality contractor is how they handle warranty work. The reality is there will always be warranty work with larger projects. They came back this year in the spring and fixed a sprinkler head and in August they fixed an area of pavers under our deck that had settled a bit. Once again highly recommend.
Timberland Outdoor Services deserves a rating higher than five stars! Shasta, Carl, Dom, and their team are the best in the business. After building a new house last year, we decided to work with Timberland on the landscaping since we wanted a water feature and more specialty items than the standard package from the builder. Design: Perfect for the space and met all of our requests. Work quality: high, patio was meticulously done, fabric under all landscaping near the house, great thought and planning as to water drainage to protect the house, very knowledgeable team. Reliability: project started on time, affected by weather a little, but to be expected. Honesty: Project came in on budget without hidden extras. During planning, Shasta helped us weigh options to manage budget and still achieve desired result. Price/value: we are thrilled with the result and compared to other quotes we received and friends' patio projects, we feel like it was a good value. Cleanliness: the team was always very tidy. They cleaned up after each day's work and were always respectful of the neighbors.
I can’t say enough about the phenomenal job Timberland performed at our home. Carl did an excellent landscape design, and Shasta made additional recommendations throughout the process that we hadn’t thought of. All of the crew was professional and courteous. Most importantly the quality of work is the best I’ve ever seen, and their attention to small details are unmatched. I highly recommend Timberland for any projects big or small!
Timberland Outdoor Services was a fantastic company to work with. I had gotten bids from them as well as another company in Savage, and Carl was very efficient and reasonably priced. He was very knowledgeable of my needs and what I was looking for, since I don't have the knowledge when it comes to planting. When the crew showed up, they finished the project in one day and it was completed professionally and quickly. Carl and his crew were very friendly and easy to work with. I ended up adding more landscaping around my house and they worked with me and the curb guys. When all was done, they even came out to do some finishing touches. I highly recommend TOS and I will definitely be calling them for my future project to the backyard!
Shasta and Carl were great to work with! They cleared over 3 acres of trees, much of which was on a steep slope. I would hire them again!

Timberland Outdoor Services recently helped us with an extensive re-landscaping of a home we had purchased last August. They did a fine job of removing rocks, disposing of overgrown weeds, mulching alarge area, filling numerous holes and bare spots on a half acre lot and both selecting and planting two very large sugar maple trees. We were very pleased with the timliness, quality work, and reasonable costs. We will highly recommend them.
Shasta and his team have re-landscaped both our front and backyards providing a variety of services including demo, retaining walls, paver patios, stump removal, plantings and sod. They were very helpful during the planning phases of both projects and frequently suggested improvements to our initial plans that were both better solutions and less costly. They were accurate on their costs and anticipated schedule and were willing to come back and provide minor fixes after the project was complete with no questions asked. I highly recommend working with them.

Carl and his group have helped us a few times and have never disappointed us. Carl and the Timberland folks were a pleasure to work with. They listened to what we wanted, provided creative ideas and solutions for changes to our yard, including adjustments to the project as it was being done. They helped solve a standing water problem in our back yard that had been there for years, removed and trimmed trees, planted a tree they helped us select, removed and replaced shrubs and installed a stone stairway to make our back yard more accessible. All the work was done on time and to our satisfaction. We have used them on at least three occasions and when we need help with the yard in the future, we definitely will be contacting them.
We have been using Timberland Outdoor Services since 2011 to do all sorts of landscaping projects including replacing plantings with grass, building stone steps, building a stone retaining wall, getting rid of creeping Charlie, mulching, and planting bushes and hosta. Their work is excellent and reasonably priced. Their workers are professional, show up on time, do good work, and clean up after themselves. The outcomes are always very nice. Ive hired Timberland twice. Timberland exceeded my expectations for each project, with professional attention to detail, clear and timely communication, and great advice to work within my budget. We believe that the results of the first project we did with Timberland was the deciding factor in selling our prior home above asking price; the design of the backyard landscaping worked out beautifully.
