Matthew is very professional. He listened carefully to what I wanted and gave me exactly what I asked for. His team is well trained, shows up on time, and works hard! They tore out my old sod, installed irrigation systems, gopher wire, and a concrete sidewalk around the perimeter of my backyard. They also placed compost and new sod where I requested, and mulch in areas that needed weed protection. I couldnt have chosen a better landscaper than Matthew! The weeds were stubborn and he had to come out a 2nd time, which he did without charging me again - he just cared about getting the job done. The hedge in my front yard was dying due to the hotter-than-usual summer this year. Matthew met with me, discussed some options and was able to replace the dead plants with beautiful new plants that can handle both the current heat and the winter cold. And the job was completed within a few hours!

We called and texted to get an appointment for a quote. Was told he was coming, never showed, never communicated about why he didnt show. Even reached out after thinking maybe he was just busy, no reply. My wife went through his website to make an appointment two weeks later. He told us he would come today between 1-5 and we waited and again he never showed up. No communication at all. I wouldnt mind any of the missed appointments if he were to say sorry, he was too busy to come. Or he was to busy to take on more work. Just really poor treatment and communication. Dont waste your time calling this guy.

This guy parks in front of our community mailbox almost every day. He was asked politely by neighbors to not do so, he then refuses, and then he demands 20K and threatens legal action. I actually hope Im next because this guy needs to learn the world doesnt work that way. Guy needs to wise up and work on being courteous to others and professional.

This company does not stand behind their work. They don t return phone calls. They came to fix a sprinkler issue, still leaking after paying them way to much money for the job. I would never use this company for anything!

I can t say good enough stuff about Matthew s Landscaping and his team. We are in love with our backyard and so are our four legged babies. I m not done with him yet! Once we get our citrus trees and plants that we wanted planted, we will be having them come back to add rock around our house

I was referred to Mathews landscaping by a local realtor in Lompoc. I called and was told they needed $40 to come and give me an idea what their services were about. I was told if I were to use their sevices, the $40 would be applied. I didnt feel comfortable about that and declined. Im not sure if this is a new trend. But I refuse to pay and have someone come and give me an estimate. I never met with them or have they rendered services for my property. But unfortunately I had to look elsewhere for landscaping services.

Mathew and his crew did a great job on our front yard. I have recommended him to friends and colleagues. The ones that have contacted him or used his services all have reported positive interactions and love the work that he and his crew have done. Keep up the good work guys.

Matthews team installed ~100 feet of bender board in my back yard. I was torn between two options, so I asked Matt which he would choose if it was his back yard. He recommended the option that was over $300 less than the other option I was considering. To me, that speaks to his honesty.

Matthew s Landscaping appointment was made and they showed up on the time specified. All the employees were professional and definitely knew what they were doing were very knowledgeable of the job they were doing for us. Had two large trees needing to be trimmed one in front of the house and one in the backyard. They were very efficient and left our property clean when they finished. Would recommend them to anyone needing cleanup, maintenance or tree trimming.

Matthew and his crew are amazing. They are polite and personable and work hard to get the job done. They were able to rid my yard of several severely overgrown 15-20 foot high bushes which, to me, appeared to be an impossible task. Within 5 hours, those bushes were reduced to mere stumps. I had an irrigation system emergency. My whole street was getting watered. I googled and found Matthews Landscaping in Lompoc. Matt was so quick to respond. He answered my after hours call, I described my issue, and he immediately gave me a temporary resolution that would stop the flooding as I couldn t get the water main off. He even texted me the details so I could share with the guys at Home Depot to help me find what I needed. The next day I was able to get a permanent fix done on my own. I followed up with Matt to let him know we solved our issue and tried to tip him. He was happy to help and didn t need a tip. Truly a stand up guy in my opinion. We were impressed with Matthew when he came to give us an estimate for trimming/removing some large trees and bushes around our house and around our lawn. He seemed very knowledgeable about his business and told us what he could do and the most economical way to do it. He showed up on time to perform the work and communicated with me on the progress by sending texts and photos, as we were not there for most of the job. He even ground a couple of stumps that were not included in the price because he felt they were too big to leave. He is a rare gem in todays world. I am anxious to see the hardscaping job we have scheduled with him. Based on what Ive seen so far, it is going to be outstanding!

I hired Matthew and his crew to do a complete backyard make over. He and his crew hauled off countless wheelbarrows full of dried up lawn and dirt, tilled up what remained to give the yard a fresh start without gopher holes! I had a sketch of what I wanted for a backyard design and Matthew made it all happen! I bought 14 huge and heavy flagstones from a nearby neighbor and he and his crew transported them to my house and carefully leveled them with DG creating a tidy walking path after they were placed. Matthew even met me at Windmill Nursery in Buellton to pick out plants and 2 trees and then he transported and planted them all in my backyard exactly where I wanted each one. He had a special crew of guys lay a good size 12x20 square foot section of artificial turf that looks simply wonderful! No grass cutting for me! I wanted a berm added to also provide an interest to my backyard and Matthew helped with the selection and placement of each of the succulent plants on the rock covered berm. He even came back the next day to add a finishing glaze on the large berm river rocks! After 11 years of waiting, I finally have a backyard to be proud of! Matthew has a way of making you feel as though your project is his favorite. He s hard working , fair and I really appreciated the fact that at the close of each day of work his crew cleaned up after themselves and left my place cleaner than they found it! I m very happy that there are really hard working young men out there willing to conduct fhemselves as professionally and courteously as Matthew and his crew are. He has an amazing future in this business. Thank you for a great job well done!

Excellent work! Matthew did a phenomenal job on short notice. I had called for a quicknestimate and he came over the same day to check out the yard and came over the same week even though he quoted us for the entire day! He ended up coming by himself and worked all day, even after the sun went down! He offered to come back and finish the areas that he wasnt able to get to, but my husband and I have been in and out for several weeks and unable to schedule a time. I will definitely call and have him come back when the weather warms a bit. He even checked our sprinkler and drip system, running home to grab a repair piece at no extra charge to us. I worked at a greenhouse for nearly 10 years through high school and college and dreaded having to do all the yard work. Matthew made it look easy! He even took our dog into consideration and used a pet friendly weed spray. I truly could not ask for better. Keep up the good work Matthew!!!

Accidentally did a great job! My roommate and myself had initiated some landscaping in my backyard by pulling up a bunch of weeds, dead brush and sod. At 1st I was sceptical at his low rates, but after using his services several times I would recommend for sure. He has installed sod in my backyard, trimmed trees, laid bark, hauled away debris, and even recommended products for my garden that worked great!
