He fixed my issue(s), set my boxes, explained, in layman s terms, what happened and what needs to happen, dealt with my dog and wasted no time. Albert is a keeper! And they ve done it again delighted us with the landscaping work they did! Yavapai removed a tree that was damaging our driveway and replaced it with a decent-sized sapling that was more appropriate for that location. They were timely, friendly, neat and tidy. To much to share. Communication struggles and warantee problems. My husband had to fix our brand new irrigation system 3 times just a few months after install. We are trying to work out the problems with the company. This started as a 1 star review but Nathan is trying to make it right so I am raising it to a 4 star after some disagreements and communication. My hope is that in the future communication via email is responded to in a timely matter (shorter than a month). My heart goes out to their current struggles with a staff member with cancer. May there be peace and relief in your future and better health outcomes on the way.

Mario worked on my irrigation system. It is so easy to water now. He and Juan Carlos also did some work on my landscape. What a great job they did. Would highly recommend Yavapai Landscape.

EDIT: The first review we gave for 5 stars was when we first had our landscaping done. We subsequently spent thousands of dollars and had to sue them in order for them to fix an issue with defective pavers. This took over 4 years to resolve.

Albert did an outstanding job of inspecting, repairing and winterizing our irrigation system. Hes very knowledgeable and professional. Anytime I want irrigation services, I want Albert to do the job.

My husband and I got a bed on a contract for the backyard. It was started in April and was supposed to be finished so we could enjoy the patio for the summer. However, it dragged on until two weeks ago. We were given a bit of $$57,000. We had no idea what the project scope was or the plan but I can tell you we end up paying far more because we were never given notification of anything. It ended up being over $$70,000. And was never drawn to completion. If you deal with these people, you better make sure that you have a project plan and you follow it. We were never given any indication that we were over our budget or anything and we never even got the turf propose but the pavers they made us pay more for. Just enter cautiously if you re an older couple. Watch your finances!

YAV Landscaping trimmed all my trees and bushes. Gabby, a young women, came with 2 dudes and not only supervised but did a lot of the work herself. The work was done exactly as I wished. They cleaned up so well. I will use them again.

Albert and crew provide us routine monthly landscaping maintenance services. Albert has gotten to know our requirements and does a very good job of maintaining our 2 acre property. He calls before arrival and always checks with us before departure and takes pride in how our property looks when finished.

My main issue here is they were extremely overpriced. Stupidly, I did not get any other estimates, relying on their reputation, so that is on me, and while they completed the job, when it was finished, I realized I was extremely overcharged for the work they did.

Albert and his assistant did an amazing job clearing a solid twelve foot wall of dead Japanese Honeysuckle, as well as general cleanup to the rest of the backyard. What they did in two hours would have taken me two days to complete.

Nathan and his team of landscapers are fantastic! We were initially planning to build a deck for our hot tub. It was going to be just the size to accommodate the tub. However, when Nathan saw the back of our house he had a vision of what our backyard could become. He visualized the creation of a whole new living space with a raised area topped with pavers. It was blowing our minimal plans out of the water! We just happened to have the funds to accomplish it. I know that is not always possible for some but we were able to capture his plan and he made it happen! We are very pleased with the final result.

We called Yavapai Landscaping with a landscape issue, and they responded in a short period of time. Luiz got our problem resolved in a competent and friendly manner, and we are pleased with the results.

I have a 2+ acre property with 12 lines with extensive plantings. My prior system installed my another contractor had failed and I needed help ASAP to save my hundreds of planting. Yavapai Landscaping jumped on the opportunity to help me in a time of need and perform the installation of s new irrigation system system in a week after I accepted their estimate. Wow! So wonderful for me! Other contractors were about 2 months out. I appreciated the efforts both Larry and Chino performed in installing my 12 valve irrigation system so promptly and following up with attending to my concerns regarding the performance of the manufacturers product which I selected in advance. When I stopped by three times to pay my bill, not only was Justice smiling and quite helpful, I was a bit taken back by the smiles by the office staff to immediately offer assistance to me Being in mid-management in my career, a smiling welcoming office staff really sets the tone for the company. I have nothing but good things to say about my experience with Yavapai Landscaping. I had what I thought was an unusual project, Ted, the development manager and Hugo, the team leader, didnt bat an eye. Teds first concern was the cost. When I mentioned that that was a secondary issue for me, I just wanted care and sensitivity to be the most important part, and thats exactly what I got. After the job was completed Ted contacted me to give me some ideas as far as plantings to give a softer more personal finish. I will call Yavapai Landscaping with future projects anytime.

We had our large backyard land escaped with Yavapai Landscaping. My husband and I couldn t be happier! Our main contact with Ted Ferris, and he was extremely patient, knowledgeable, thorough, and helpful in getting our work done. He never made us feel like we were a bother when we would call with questions or comments, and he always followed through with our requests. Ted made a big difference in our decision to use Yavapai Landscaping . He is simply the best! Also, sometime after it was completed we had a couple of very minor issues. I called him and he jumped right on it. He got both of them fixed without any problem right away.

Elbert & Tyler came out to replace a dead tree in my yard that a previous landscaper had planted. They took extra care in planting and adding the proper nutrients to help the new tree survive in a very clay type soil. They also did clean up in the front and back yard, as well as winterizing my irrigation system. From the first phone call to the office, to the completed job, everyone I dealt with at Yavapai Landscaping was kind, knowledgeable, and efficient. It s hard to find that kind of service these days, so I am an extremely pleased customer.

My lawn was struggling with the unusually higher temps this Summer season. Albert and his assistant spent hours re-seeding troubled spots, adjusting my extensive watering system, then testing each of my 7 sprinkler levels to ensure that every inch of my lawn was receiving adequate water. Tried to edit post from 10mo ago with no success. So, here is the real review. Only one star because zero stars is not allowed. Our retaining wall built by Yavapai is crumbling and the owner said, It won t last forever. That s why Cornelio no longer works for us. Beware! Their contract warrantee is useless.

Albert services our church, American Lutheran Church, he has been wonderful, going above and beyond with communicating and helping problem solve some issues weve had come up.

Nathan came out to estimate removing one huge, dead tree and removing the dead limbs of another huge tree, Both trees ugly and dangerous. The two men crew were real pros, the equipment amazing, state of the art bucket lift, with augers, also a chipper. I will use this great service again!

Hired Yavapai landscaping to clear brush, grass from the garden, trim bushes, etc. Gaby & Sergio showed up at 8:00 and worked all day with temperatures in the mid 90s until after 6:00. They did a fantastic job, covering everything we asked for, and then some. Very satisfied. First time we used them, but we will definitely use them again. Highly recommended. Thanks guys.

Unreliable, did not follow through or follow up on promises made. Got a call 3 weeks later asking if I wanted someone to come out and look at the yard. They already did 3 weeks earlier. I called twice today and thought to get the ball rolling. I got a call back from the guy who came out 3 weeks ago. I asked about the design that was to be sent 2 weeks ago he stated that it was done just not in color. I asked to have it sent to my email that day. My guess it was never completed in the first place.He said that he would send it as soon as we hung up. 5 hrs later no design sent. I get im just a home owner and not some big company. Customer service is a must. No worries some else will get the job.

Amazing. The transformation to our driveway and front steps is amazing. The landscaping crew had to redesign the front stairs and created stairs that are beautiful and much easier to use. The driveway is great. The crew were true artisans and very hard working. We also appreciate how they respected the neighbors and the traffic flow during the project. I had problems with my timer for my irrigation system. Albert was my HERO!! In a matter of just minutes he fixed the problems and reset my timer. He also educated me on what NOT to do with this timer. He made my program soooo simple! Thank you Albert!!

When I moved into my new rental house and the yard was a nightmare. The team who came to work on the yard did a fabulous job!

Alert, came back to do the job right. We had some unexpected problems with the other line that was not originally leaking. Albert got right on it and fixed the 2nd leak. He got rid of the other 2 faucets and cut back the water line and drain located where the outdoor kitchen use to be at. He did a great job and were happy he came back on Saturday to do the job correctly. Hes a hard worker and knows what he is doing. Very personable too .

Recently moved to Prescott Valley and needed landscape and plants in backyard. I worked with Ted at Yavapai Landscaping. I must say he and his team fully exceeded my expectations. It was such quality work from the design, to hard scapes to selecting and installing all the trees and shrubs. Amazing. The job was completed in just a couple of days. Wanted to add that it has been about a year since job was completed and recent strong winds broke tree support system. The exceptional growth did not help, but dont want to stop that. I contacted Ted in the morning, and his crew responded right away with repair of poles and cables. Great response and customer service.

We needed to have a small section of artificial turf removed. When I called for a quote the person was friendly, professional, and helpful. I was very pleased to have been given a quote that was a lot more reasonable than another place Id called. I talked it over with my husband and we decided to go with them on the day they had available and called back to confirm. I spoke with a different person this time and was given the same flat fee price. Great! Our scheduled job was to start around noon but when they called the evening before to confirm it was changed to 7:30-8. No problem. The guys called and showed up about 7. It worked out because we have other things we wanted to do today but the time change from noon to morning was a bit frustrating, initially. The job only took two hours and the workers thought it was for four hours and asked if we wanted something else done or wondered if we wouldnt need to pay the whole fee and suggested calling the office. I called and she explained what had initially been said, that it was a flat fee for the job but said they could take the turf to the dump and come back to work. She called them and told them otherwise and they came back and explained that it was a flat fee job. Not a problem. I paid the balance, thanked them, and they were off. While on the phone with the office she told me I should have been charged a disposal fee that no one ever mentioned before. I asked how much extra I would be charged and she waved it. I have mixed feelings now about this place. The price was MUCH better than the other quote wed gotten...yet still high for two hours...$650! But, we were happy for the savings and the work was done well. And, the guys that did the job were very nice and very professional. I would have given five stars but because of the time changes, and confusion the day of the work, Im only giving four stars.

We were having trouble with our water pump and float system. I called Yavapi Landscaping to get help. Their office personnel said that no Albert would be in touch between 5:00 and 5:15. By 5:30 Albert showed up to our home. Within a short period of time he had diagnosed our problem He went to Get a part. Within 10 minutes of return Albert had fixed our problem. Gabby and her assistant did a very good job on our unruly hedgerow. I would recommend them to anybody and plan on using them again in the future.

The tree trimming team were great! Easy to work with and really hard workers! We only wish for better communication, as we didn t receive the rock color or size we wanted and it was not explained as to why until it was already laid in the yard. Our yard does look nice.

We contracted with Yavapai Landscaping after a recommendation from a neighbor. Larry Snyder was the representative and designer. He listened and gave us a design that fit our wishes and budget. The crew was top notch. Showed up when scheduled and did excellent work. We re extremely pleased with the end result.

Upon receiving an email from my local water department that I had a possible leak as evidenced by very high usage for 3 days, I noticed the drip system was running constantly. I shut off the timer and closed the main irrigation system valve. I sent an email to Yavapai Landscaping since they installed the irrigation system about 2 years ago. I received a phone call the same day, a Sunday! They scheduled a technician to come over to investigate and correct the problem. The tech called me on day of appointment and asked if he could come early. They arrived within 15 minutes of the call and I explained the problem. They guessed a faulty valve was the cause based on their experience and proceeded to disassemble it. They showed me minute particles of dirt found in the valve causing the problem. It was quickly fixed and tested. I asked the Tech to re-program the timer and he did so while also showing me all the timer tricks, including short cuts for changing settings as seasons changed! I was outside shoveling my driveway this morning and one of your snow plows came by and I asked him if he could plow the heavy snow that was left at the bottom of the driveway that is so heavy and he said he would try and he was successful and I was so relieved and grateful. I wish I could have given him a hug. He was plowing in the Gardens and Courtyards of Willow Creek. I don t know his name, but he deserves a donut and coffee and more.

Yavapai Landscaping of Prescott really did a fantastic job of trimming our trees to open up our view of Granite Mountain. Their crew was very efficient, skilled and hardworking. The paver walkway and the rock slope landscaping turned out beautiful and made our backyard come to life. Excellent service, price and quality!

Terrible experience.

We are so happy!! Just moved to a new build in Chino Valley and needed our entire acre landscaped to help with the quicksand mud that was present. When calling around to get quotes, Nathan got right back to us and was able to come out a couple of days later to discuss the project. He was able to give us a preliminary quote on the spot along with providing a visual of the design via drone photos which was so helpful! As we are new to the area and had a blank slate to work with, we were a little overwhelmed about what should happen first, how we should prioritize, which plants/trees would thrive, best material options, etc. Once we had our design, he brought out various samples for us to choose from along with the education on differences between products and allowed us to choose pressure free. He really listened and incorporated our wants and we are super happy with the outcome. Walter and the team were phenomenal! Their #1 priority was to make sure we were happy by having us review the work at various steps. They ALWAYS had smiles on their face and were so pleasant. We implemented a specialty item that was thought about halfway through the project and they took our changes in stride. They asked if it was ok to work from sunup to sundown, (we gave our permission of course) and they were never in our way or bothersome which was much appreciated. I have never seen a team work as hard as they did AND enjoy themselves while doing it! When missteps happened, which almost always do in projects, either Nathan or the team would bring it up to us before we had a chance to notice and would let us know what they were going to do to remedy the issue. Very trustworthy and accountable. It was very important to us to bring in the right trees and plants that would thrive in our area, have diversity and bring in pollinators. Cheyenne took the challenge head on and brought out a plethora of options. After educating me about each plant, she didn t bat an eye when I said no to certain ones or pushed me to accept others. We are actually going to miss seeing the guys now that the project is over!

The experience was ABSOLUTELY first rate as Hugo and his Crew did an amazing job. It all started with Ted who was my contact. He made sure all of the details we were looking for were covered as we went through several drafts with small changes we had wanted to make in locking in our design. We purchased and had artificial turf and supplies delivered. Rick was very friendly and on time. Cheyanne was very knowledgeable and a big help. While unrolling the turf to install, we noticed there was not as much as we purchased. I made a quick message to Cheyanne and she promptly responded and had the rest delivered within a couple of hours on a Saturday! We appreciate the integrity when it could ve gone a lot worse ! The quality is great, the price was right, and we are loving our backyard. Thank you!

I have nothing but positive words to say about Yavapai Landscaping! In March of this year, they completed our large one-acre project. It was a blank slate and required a lot of work! The owner Nathan, and team lead Walter were a dream to work with. Hardest workers I had ever had the pleasure to partner with. It has been a few months since the project was completed and as with all types of projects there were some unforeseeable issues that arose. Plants needed to be replaced due to not making it through the cold months and a drainage issue that revealed itself with the heavy rains. I am so happy to report that the team has stood by their word of ensuring everything is done correctly and to the customers satisfaction. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND hiring Yavapai Landscaping for any landscaping projects that you may have! I know I will be turning to them in the future when we have more projects!

Yavapai Landscaping was able to call when we could reschedule, they stayed longer to clean up at no extra charge, and did an excellent job with tree removal and trimming. We are definitely using them again for yard maintenance in the future and would highly recommend their services!

We needed a irrigation expert to explain how our complex system works. The two men that came for the job did nothing to help us since they were not fluent in English. They tried to explain but we could not understand what they were saying. It was a total waste of $95.00 when I let the company know this I got NO response at all. Thanks for nothing, very disappointed.

My wife and I had artificial turf, used for putting greens and dog runs, installed in the back yard inside the fenced area. It was a big project that required hauling away about five tons of dirt to level the yard and the guys also gave it a slight slope toward the east and installed a french drain. We had a big thunderstorm the evening after the job was done and the drain worked like a champ. We love it. Out front my wife selected three huge boulders to place around the yard. Each boulder weighs about 1,100 pounds, so they arent going anywhere. All-in-all it was a fun project.

5 stars go to Yavapai Landscaping for their excellent work on an extensive project we needed done around our home for erosion control. From the initial interaction through the completed project, every aspect was handled professionally and with great quality. I would highly recommend Yavapai Landscaping. Ted was responsive to our questions and involved in the whole project. Ted has great knowledge of trees and plants. We now have artificial turf with a putting green. They replaced and enlarged our patio. They created a paved courtyard and made an ADA accessible entry to our front door. Special attention was paid to water management of the lot. Jan in the office was friendly and helpful. The guys doing this back-breaking work were here for long hours and we were very pleased with the quality of their work.

The 30-year-old concrete stairs leading to our front door had failed. They are now covered in pavers matching the ones installed by Yavapai Landscaping 4 years ago. This company cut down a mature, healthy native pinon pine tree from the front yard of a home I own because the renter who hired them didnt like that a branch rubbed against the house. I tried to contact the owner of this company for months and they simply refused my calls and never took responsibility for this. No renters of mine will ever use this company again. It youre a homeowner, beware. Hire a company that believes they should check with the homeowner before cutting down a healthy adult native tree. Simple personal responsibility would have been so welcomed--just apologize and replace the tree. Nope. Fired.

Yavapai Landscaping did an impeccable job on the design, selection of trees/plants/bushes, and implementation of hardscape for my new construction backyard project. From dirt to a meticulously groomed backyard oasis! Enjoyed working with Ted (extremely knowledgeable about Prescott horticulture) and his crew. They knocked it out of the park.

A big thank you and highest recommendation to Yavapai Landscaping, and Gaby and her crew for the awesome job done on 3 large contiguous lots (house in the middle). The work consisted of cutting down a large ponderosa pine that lost its top and was dead and another huge pine that had fallen on the ground. The cleanup of other storm damaged trees, dead limbs, shrubs, and dead vegetation went very well with the debris going into a woodchipper. The place now looks like a park! Gaby was a very hard worker directing this enormous 3 day job involving multiple Ponderosa pines, heavy machinery, and preserving the accent plants that we had planted.

Find someone else to do your work. The only reason we didnt get an attorney was that we were too busy at the time. In addition the office manager was pleasant and understanding. There is a reason that their contract includes a section that states one must agree to arbitration and not sue. That is a red flag we missed. We paid 20K to have berms with foliage installed for privacy rather than fencing, as it would be more natural and wind resistant. Rather than delivering native soil as agreed upon in the contract, tons of dirt from construction sites was delivered..over and over despite my objections via in person conversation with crews, calls to office and owner, texts and emails. Project was finished in November and i am still picking up chunks of metal, wire, concrete, carpet, mesh, tar and wood. Ive already picked up remnants of the crews meals left on their last day. We paid thousands for plants for beauty and to prevent erosion. However, the berms were shaped like pyramids and all the plants were lined up on the tippy top... despite my objections. No erosion control. Finally, i had to demand that emergent erosion control be done as monsoons were starting. Waddles were placed. The final waddles never were placed, never showed up. Then I was billed an additional 4K which I refused to pay. . At that point i was ready to retain an attorney. The owner/salesperson was beyond rude and kept referring me to his crew, some of whom were highly argumentative and some of whom sympathized and agreed with concerns voiced. I have all emails, texts and pictures handy for future reference. Ive since retained another company to repair and complete the job.

First let me say Yavapai Landscaping changed our home into a beautiful home! We initially used another company about 8 months ago. After problem after problem my wife and I decided to go with a complete redo. We heard about Yavapai landscaping from our neighborhood. Everyones homes looked so nice that used Yavapai. We gave them a call. Ted came out. We went over everything in a couple hours.The work started 4 weeks later. The job went flawlessly. Everything we wanted was done. Actually, it went beyond our expectations. The crew were very nice and very respectful of our property. Our home looks fantastic! We get compliments on it regularly. We now love sitting in our backyard and enjoying our home! Thank you Yavapai Landscaping!!!!! We pass your name on to anyone who asks for a great landscaper.

Within one week, my new homes surrounding lot went from a bare patch of dirt into a master piece of a yard with gorgeous pavers, artificial turf that was picture framed, planter against the back wall, and decorative hills of rocks and plants to accent it all. I especially enjoy the beautiful way they laid the pavers in a circular pattern instead of sharp turns that allow the front driveway to flow to the back via a connecting pathway. This work was completed months ahead of schedule and I am very thankful for that as well. Ill also say that I interviewed several other companies but the sales person, Ted, came with ideas that I didnt even think of that really added value to my property such as extending the wall and gate for an extra storage area.

Great design, competitive price and very professional installation.

We contracted with Yavapai Landscaping after interviewing several other companies. The sales person was informative and convincing. He didnt last long. We started out paying half and were advised of a several month backlog. It was okay with us as we were going to be out of town for medical reasons. The start dates were to be on our return so it fit well. Or at least that was what was promised. On our return we called to set our calendar with the sales person. We were advised of a delay because materials had not arrived. This was three months AFTER we paid and signed the contract. We were advised that they were ordering the materials from another manufacturer and they would appear soon. We called about oncer a week for updates. We continued to be advised of delays, when we could reach the sales person. Finally we were told that he had left the company. Another sales person was assigned. The second was confused apparently and would not hear or listen to us. We continually had to correct him in what we had contracted for and what was to be done. We continued to have delays upon delays, always someone elses fault. Nearly 6 months from our contract date the job was begun. The crew that came to our home was a hard working bunch but ANY English was difficult to communicate. The job initially was to be completed in 4 days but ended up taking 7 days which we did not object to as we wanted the job to be done right. When they finished the job they submitted an invoice which we paid. Promises were made that followup would be done. Once they got our money they disappeared. While things looked great there are issues that have yet to be dealt with nearly 3 months since completion. Calls, emails and registered letters have been ignored because there have been NO RETURN CALLS, EMAILS OR CONTACTS! UPDATE: Following my review I was contacted by Yavapai Landscaping. The owner, a supervisor and another came to my home. My son was there while we were out of town on a medical emergency. They apologized profusely for dropping the ball and not following up. They agreed to fix the issues. Last Friday a crew came to my home and completed the job as contracted. My back yard is beautiful as we had hoped. I am satisfied with the jib that was done. I appreciate that the company owner responded to take care of the issues. It restores my faith in them. I have changed my evaluation to 4 stars. I would have given them 5 stars except for the above.

A drip system was installed with four zones covering flowers, shrubs and trees. The Miami crew was timely, very hard working and courteous while completing our project. Yavapai Landscaping built a block wall for me in 2020. The wall is now leaning g and unstable. They were supposed to come and look at it Monday. I confirmed that even though this is a holiday, someone would be here. Didnt happen. No call no show. Dont use this company. Poor work and they dont stand behind it.

Ted Ferris was our designer and project manager and he was excellent every step of the way. Ted from Yavapai Landscaping has been working on our yard since we moved in as we keep finding new projects for him. Going from a dirt yard to a fully landscaped front and side yard (backyard will be done by Ted too) our huge yard has been transformed. We used Yavapai Landscaping and although pricier than some other quotes they did a fantastic job. Chilos crew worked very hard 12 hours a day to make our landscaping look great.

They did a poor job and so not stand by their work. Would not recommend would honestly love to sue to get my money back

This included the installation of a chocolate flagstone walkway, custom steps up to our property, various plants, and firewise services. Their BDM, Ted Ferris, truly listened to our needs and created a fair estimate & quote for the entire scope of services we wanted. He was very responsive for the entire process. And the very best part was the end product! I cannot tell you how thrilled we are with everything they did!! Teds team of landscapers & firewise specialists were timely, extremely courteous, professional and worked soooo hard. Each team repeatedly checked in with us to ensure we were happy with their work... and the results were really incredible. If your considering using this company we would highly recommend you don t. In our opinion they are most unprofessional company we have ever dealt with. This company did our entire landscaping including putting in a built in bbq with a concrete countertop which they said we would love. The countertop was supposed to be polished concrete which we ve been told it isn t by several people. We also found out they had never done polished concrete before. The used pavers to build it (which appear to be used pavers because they are all chipped) the concrete countertop looks horrible and they did not have the gas line inspected. We had to call the City and have the landscaper dig up the gas line for the City to inspect. Yavapai was not happy with us and basically said it was our fault. The sod they put in half of it never took which they won t stand behind. Anything that is wrong they tell you it s your fault. Our experience was a nightmare with them. In our opinion the owner is a horrible business person with no customer service skills and his sales manager is no better than a used car salesman that tells you what you want to hear but doesn t do what was promised. I would run as fast as I could away from this company.

This company and Ted in particular, worked diligently to provide us with an excellent landscaping job and make sure we were happy with the result. One item in question was resolved immediately after Ted took a look. We were told most jobs were two months out and they showed up in about a week, due to having our materials and being a smaller job. Ted also provided input on some other future projects, I would recommend this company.

Paid 20,000 for patios and landscaping. They were extremely slow and after many follow up calls to them; they have never came back to fix problems with landscaping. Very poor service.

They performed my monthly service for about 4 years. I was not there as it is a rental and I live out of state. When I visited the property it appeared as if they were not doing much each month. I complained and asked for someone to take look and get back to me. Nobody ever followed up. Called again, Jan was apologetic promised me call back and again no call. Then I get a call from a person I have never spoken with roughly 8 days before my service in June is due to tell me they were raising my monthly rate by 50% effective immediately and if I didnt like it they would cancel the service.. She was rude to a customer of 4 years. Very unprofessional not even giving enough notice to find another person to do the service. Very disappointed in this company.

Amazing and professional!! We had them scrape and grade a very large portion of our yard. Phase 2 was improving our drainage around the house by bringing in tons of rock to create decorative yet functional dry river beds. They also brought in smaller rock to create a natural and incredibly beautiful yard that looks great and functions perfectly during heavy monsoons!! In addition, we had them place an AMAZING Gabion Wall at the entrance to our property!!! Phase 3 is coming soon and we will definitely be using Yavapai Landscaping!!

Yavapai Landscaping designed and implemented landscaping plans for my new house in both the front and back yards. The plans included installing pavers and turf as well as choosing and installing suitable trees and shrubs. I am very happy with the quality of the work they did as well as the professionalism they exhibited. Performed trench digging, mostly rock landscaping, low voltage power lighting, installed flag pole and built steps. There were critical timing issues with other construction procedures that required work to be performed at a certain time. Yavapai Landscaping met every time requirement and did incredible work at a fair and reasonable price. I will be hiring them for my next project.

An unexpected illness prevented us from moving into our new home as scheduled but Ted used our vision and created a stunning front and backyard scape. Needed help with firewise lot cleanup and was so impressed with Teds professionalism and reliability that we increased the scope of work to include Rock work to reduce our future maintenance time, swale installation to minimize erosion concerns and scarifcation and grading to make the property safer to walk around. The crews worked efficiently and tirelessly rain or shine completing the project sooner than expected. They were tidy and thoughtful even power washing our street frontage after monsoon made a mess. In these days of unreliable vendors who often do shoddy work, we were delighted to have found a firm that is well managed and fairly priced and whose employees have an obvious pride in their work. Yavapai Landscaping did a great job in our front and backyard. Very professional, easy to work with, even when we made changes to the final plans. They built us a fire pit and a raised rose garden with the underground irrigation water system and Malibu lights. Highly recommend their service. My husband and I used Yavapai for our land scaping they did a great job on our patio with pavers I was a little upset that some of the plants died so quickly but they did get replaced. Dustin who replaced them did a much better job with replanting. The real test will be this spring to see how my plants come back. Will keep you all posted

Ted Ferris, his crew (Rolando aka Miami, Miguel, Patrick and Tono) and Yavapai Landscaping more than exceeded our expectations. Coming from San Diego, we were used to a very different type of landscaping. Ted spent a considerable amount of time with us discussing the environment, weather and wildlife in Prescott Valley and the best options. We wanted to put in landscaping that would not have to be redone in 2 years or require daily manual maintenance. Ted took us around the area pointing out what works, what doesn t and what to watch for (blister beetles, grasshoppers, etc.). He also took us to his completed jobs to give us ideas and to show us the quality of Yavapai Landscaping s work. He truly held our hand thru the entire process. Our job was fairly large (2-acres of rocky, weedy desert land, irrigation, over 180 tons of rock, extensive paver-work, etc.) The end result was more than exceptional. We were assigned one crew, who stuck with us for the whole job. They showed up everyday at 6am and didn t leave until 6pm. Ted was at the site almost everyday, which ended up being a godsend as we had a few changes to the contract after our job was started. Ted s answer to our changes every time was - no problem! The crew was friendly, respectful and left our home more than broom clean everyday. I wanted to adopt all of them! Our job was completed on time. I am so happy with the work that was done by this Company! I got a lot of estimates from a lot of different companies and it was a really hard decision but they came in with the best price. I was hoping for the best and that is what I got! Levi took down 5 trees total with the help of a huge crane, a boom truck and an amazing crew. The whole neighborhood watched in amazement! He also trimmed all the dead wood out of another huge Elm tree and made it so beautiful! I highly recommend this company. Tree removal is seriously a dangerous business and they did a safe and amazing job.

The salesman Anthony came to my home on July 18. He listened to what I wanted, measured for turf and gave me a quote of 675 sq. ft. for $7500.00. I paid 1/2 down and was given an install date of 9/17. On 9/16 I called for an arrival time and was told by the receptionist she didn t think they would be out but someone would be calling me. No one did. Called again a few days later and was told someone would call later in the week to reschedule. No one did. I called again and spoke to Nathan who said they will start on 10/5. On 10/4 they brought a load of crushed granite without calling first. Later that same day the crew leader Devin also arrived without calling first. On 10/5 Devin and the sub contractors arrived. Devin measured the yard and informed me Anthony hadn t ordered enough turf. I had wanted turf from the house to the fence with two flower beds. Devin said there was enough turf to go along the house with flower beds along the fence. Not what I wanted but thought at the time it was my only choice. The finished project used approx. 425 sq. ft. of turf. I paid for 675 sq. ft. of turf which leaves approx. 250 sq. ft. left over. When I complained to Nathan he admitted there was enough turf to complete the job I wanted and paid for but said Devin doesn t like seams and he s particular about the job he does. Nathan offered to buy back the 250 sq. ft. of leftover turf for $300 which was only pennies on the dollar that I paid. The sub contractors did a good job and I m basically happy but I shouldn t have to pay for Yavapai Landscapers mistake. I paid $7500.00 for a $4700.00 job. Yavapai Landscaping doesn t communicate or live up to their obligations. I feel taken advantage of and will never recommend or hire this co. again. I agreed to change my one star to a two star rating per a mediation agreement but my original complaint still stands. Settled in mediation.

We recently had to take down 5 large Leland Cypress trees that were diseased, along with another overgrown tree. Yavapai Landscaping did the work for us and replaced the trees with some more suitable to our area. The crews were prompt and hardworking both days. They didnt take long breaks or disappear halfway through the day with no explanation like other workers we have had in the past. They got in, got it done, cleaned everything up, and were below the cost of the other 2 landscaping companies we got estimates from. They even gave us a discount for a fire-wise coupon we had. We will definitely use them again for any landscaping jobs we may have in the future.

Our paving project involved a 12 foot diameter circle with multiple boulders which cut into the shape. Subsequently, there were many intricate cuts. Teds Yavapai Landscaping team did an outstanding job! They were obviously very careful, but also worked with speed and precision. The team operated like a ballet. The field manager came out and walked us thru what firewise entailed, gave us the quote the next day and began the project the following week. Yavapai sent three workers and they worked their collective tails off for two days. My wife and I were very impressed with what they accomplished in two days...and we were very pleased. This review has to do with the latest snow event in Feb 2019. My sister set up an arrangement with you (Yavapai Landscaping) to come to our moms house for snow removal but my understanding is that you didnt come. My mom tried calling you but your message said to leave a voicemail. My mom tried to leave a voicemail but your voicemail was full. Since my mom is elderly and couldnt go days without her driveway getting cleared she ended up having to contact someone else. This defeats the whole purpose of the gift my sister had given my mom by having you be the point person to take care of this for her. I realize you were probably overwhelmed with all the snow removal requests but if youre going to run a business you need to check (and clear) your voicemail. Since this was such a big snow event, you should have expected more than your usual calls and stayed on top of your voicemail. Otherwise you lose business which is not what you want to do. Plus, this cost my mom money to find someone else when my sister already had an arrangement with you. Stay on top of your voicemail please. Thanks!!

Terrible....I am rewriting my review because of my frustration I was asked to write a good review which is not true. This was not a small job 10s of thouands..paver walk way crooked. After completing paver steps first rain fall pavers collapsed. Was charged for work that was never done. Came back to repair and never completed to satisfaction. Then they refused to guarantee the work and repair it wanted to charge me additional $2500 to repair there mistakes. Total miscommunication with the crew on the job site. The site manager in charge never completed work to satisfaction..and did not communicate to his workers.Very difficult to get response when trying to call. I am reasonable to a point but this project cost me money and aggrevation. I needed to repair there work which they refused to do and guarantee totally unsatisfactory.

I had some fire wise work done by this company and they showed up at a reasonable time and got the work done. It was a very large expense for removing some trees, trimming and clearing brush. I paid them in full $6400, (5 days, 3 guys). Quite expensive. Then we made the mistake of having them work on our irrigation. We have a large lot and there were leaks in the irrigation and valve boxes. Plan was to fix the leaks and set up an efficient watering schedule. The. bid was for $1100. I thought it was a lot, but wanted to get it done. Too bad they could not deliver. After they said they were done we continued to have several leaks in irrigation and valve boxes and the irrigation timer was not working. We were patient and wanted to give them a chance to make it right. We set up at least 3 follow up appointments which were ALL no shows by them. Finally, after maybe 10 phone calls the owner comes by, agrees that the initial job was substandard and said he would make it right...but never returned.... months later sends us an invoice. Meanwhile, high water bills ensue and we just get another company to do the job. Can t believe how bad they were.

If the landscaper is 5 stars for cleaning out and you are looking at a 5-figure restoration, this landscaper may not be for you. Look for flags and run when you see them. An experienced landscaper will offer a free, line item estimate and offer choices so you can choose where to spend your money. Unless your project is unique and finely detailed, you should not pay for an architectural drawing, an experienced landscaper will offer guidance and know what will work free of charge. The landscaper should offer references and take you to see his work, so you have an idea of the type of work and level of skill they can offer. If you have tree and shrub removal needed prior to excavation, contract only for the removal so you can assess the work. Never give more than a very small percentage to be placed in their timeline and find out how long before offering payment. Be careful to take notice if words and actions do not match. The Yavapai crew was very friendly, but there were too many red flags for our large renovation project, so I can only give 1 star.

Called about a simple repair. Broken drip hose. Due to health I cant do it, but know it us a 10 minute job. They said they have to send two people and it would be $260 dollars to start. The said everything is 2 hour minimum and thats it. Be warned you will not get a fair deal.

Needed our property in Mountain Club cleared for Firewise. Weeds knocked down, dead trees removed. Levi and Ted were fantastic. They took care to save the iris plants, sunflowers, cactus and made them display nicely as well. It was a big job made harder by the thunderstorms that made them come back a second day. Both days they were timely, professional, friendly, and just great to work with. We will definitely use them again.

WE had Yavapai Landscaping out to cut some trees, brush and weeds. They did an awesome job!!! Ted and Tyler were so polite, did a great job and cleaned up after themselves so well Highly recommend them Claudia
