I’m leaving this review because of a minor incident that Brian and Shannon handled so professionally. One of their employees had a stray rock hit the windshield on one of my vehicles (purely a freak accident). The young member of the crew immediately gave us Brian‘s number. Brian immediately responded with permission and support to have the windshield replaced. What we DID NOT expect is for the cost of the windshield to triple over the original quote I had received. Amazingly, Brian and Shannon never balked or complained about the increase! They continually assured us they would make things right and looked to make sure that there was constant communication throughout the entire process. They always responded to my text or phone calls very promptly. I’m always thankful for good local businesses that are operated by professionals like Brian and Shannon. Thanks again!
High Desert does the common areas here in Stoneridge community and does great job. I'm impressed when you actually see the workers using a rake along with there blowers, getting under the bushes and even getting down on there hands and knees to do nice job. Not like the other companys that just blow it out to the road. Highly recommend them from what I've seen.
This business, do not use. They say one thing and then do nothing. You cannot leave a message, because there message box is full. There is no accountability with this company. No one is responsible for anything. They love playing the blame game and therefore nothing gets finished. I have a backyard, but can’t let my dog out do to all the trash. I have big holes in the ground where trees are supposed to go, but no trees, just holed. My dog gets hurt, too bad for everyone. I have pictures, a log of how many times I have called them. Do not use this unacceptable and not accountable company
I personally know almost everyone at High Desert, from the wonderful owner Brian to the other's in charge like Cameron, Josh, Gio and their crews alit of the guy's have come and gone the past 4 year's but the company is growing/has grown and they do great work 4 year's ago my fience started working there under Cameron when all the new development was just starting heading torward 89a and now look the empty feilds along side Glassford all the way to 89a is almost complete and full of another part of Granville, he left for awhile with other companies but ended up back here where it all started only now he is part of the landscape maintenance for the New, more expensive and bigger homes in the "Jasper" housing development behind Granville at the end if Santa Fe Loop so if your looking for a company fir large or small jobs drive around Granville and Jasper looking at the landscape on both sides of the street and some home owners yard's because that's the companies Referals in my eyes, the landscape and proper maintenance of it all speaks for the company and the men who do the work!
Very friendly in getting your business however if there is an issue they are very very slow in their response time. I was told by an employee “we charge low rates and have a lot of accounts.” I told him I would rather be charged a little more than be ignored... will take care of big accounts but ignore the small ones.. strongly suggest using someone else.
Not only do they not know how to run drainage, which could soon lead to damaging my house's foundation, they also don't even know how to answer the phone. Between myself, my girlfriend, and my realtor, we have tried 6 times to contact them, leaving messages every time. Don't hire these guys, even if you can actually get in contact with them.
I live in an HOA that has hired High Desert to maintain our front yard landscaping. The team that is responsible for keeping our front yards are ruining trees and bushes. There is only so much you can cut off a tree before it becomes damaged and ugly to look at! Last fall they came by and hacked off three of my front bushes so low that the bushes never came back and now the association has to replace them. What a waste of money! This spring they cut two lower branches of my tree, which was fine. Two weeks later they came back and cut two more branches on the same side. Now my tree only has branches growing on one side of the tree. I called High Desert and they now think they will have to replace the tree because it leans to one side. Another unwarranted expense! Today, they cut back a plum tree across the street from me that was beautiful and growing nicely. But they cut all the several of the lower branches of a 2-3 yr tree so now it looks like a stick with some leaves at the top. I understand why they need to trim but that is not what they are doing. They are hacking these trees without knowledge on why or how they are supposed to trim. Pruning a tree is cutting the inside to thin a tree out to avoid wind damage. Not just cutting main branches off and leaving a tree top heavy. It really is a shame to see what is being done without an understanding of how to do the job. They are just told to trim trees. That is what the young man I spoke to said he was told to do. I explained (he translated) that trees need to be trimmed on the inside, not just take the major branches off. Also, different trees need a different approach. I don’t expect High Desert to hire arborists to do the job but I do think some training needs to take place to avoid costly replacements. Thanks for reading this and I hope you understand the dilemma we are all in regarding the maintenance of our front yards. Please High Desert, do a little teaching to help these fellows do a decent job.
I would give no stars if possible but this company is a prime example of how to not to business. Cameron Came out here to give us a quote in late March and said that they would be able to begin work around mid May. He was supposed to come out again in late April to finalize everything and didn't show up for our appointment then it seemed as if he was avoiding our phone calls for several weeks. When we did get a hold of him in early July he said that he had taken on more work than he could manage but will figure out how to get us in soon. we spent another couple weeks trying to get a hold of him again and got the same story over and over again. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. They're a prime example of quantity over quality in their work and just flat out unprofessional and unreliable all around.
Mailbox is full. Cannot leave message. Not professiobal. I am waiting on a delivery of rocks. Have not been notied.
Fun crew, great to work with. Pretty creative, had lots of choices and advice!
Great place to have your landscaping done, especially if you are HOA and have purchased a house in the new subdivisions. If you want to add some uniqueness to your forever home this is the place to go!!!!!!
