Bad-I gave strict instructions not to enter my back yard as I do not want fertilizer where my dog is and spends most his time. They went against my wishes and put fertilizer on my yard and did nothing to fix it.

Great job as always. Very thorough and prompt. I use Hoffman for all my yard work needs. Saves me time and they always do quality work.

I had real issues with crabgrass and generally poor looking lawn for several years after I purchased a house in Delaware so I asked Hoffman for help. They inspected my lawn and developed a custom treatment plan. Within a year of their treatment the lawn was totally transformed into one of the nicest in the neighborhood. Their ongoing fertilization has kept the lawn looking great.

I asked for management to call me about a discrepancy in charges for services completed (labor/time they were here) and they never reached out to me, and basically was called a liar even though I provided video camera evidence they were not working in my yard but the clock had started. Instead, I got disrespectful responses back with GPS info showing they were in the neighborhood but just having a smoke break before they started, but yet I have to pay for that.

Had used Hoffmans services for years at our old and new address, But came back from being out of the country in June to a totally burned up front yard. Seems they had done a treatment shortly after we left and hot temps and dry weather caused lawn to go dormant and some areas to die. Got blown off when I complained and now possibly faced with resodding all or parts of our front lawn because of weeds and dead areas!

Reliable and professional company . Austin has been our tech for several years- he is courteous, thorough and helpful in explaining details.

I recently signed up for all of my lawn care through Hoffman s. The sign up process was incredibly easy and primarily done online- which to me was a huge bonus. A planned out estimate is given to you in advance of the services so that nothing catches you off guard. The best part was that from signing up to receiving my first service (mowing) was 2 business days and then fertilization was only 4 business days after sign up! The turnaround time was wonderful. Today, I had Andrew do a fertilizing treatment and unlike other lawn care companies I ve used, I can actually see the treatment, so I know it s been placed (and thoroughly! You can see the white powdery substance covering an otherwise bleak lawn in the picture) I can t wait to see what our yard will look like next year thanks to Hoffman s!

9/6/2024 Zach applied fertilizer and broadleaf control today. He walked the application and did a nice job. Now, we need the rain.

Technician was polite and efficient. He applied fertilizer/weed control and made sure to blow off material from sidewalks and driveway.

The service seemed thorough and the tech left all of the info we needed to do what s next and make sure our animals were safe on the treatment.

Easy to get a cost estimate and set up services. First treatment was the Monday after we set up. Our technician Ricky was very quick and professional. Happy with our services so far!

After one year of using Hoffmans lawn service my yard has never looked better I really appreciate the time and effort they put into keeping my yard green all summer long. This will be my second year using our service and looking forward to an even stronger lawn.

I just signed up with Hoffmans and had my first application by Brandon. I am looking forward to the grass cutting portion this week. I am hoping that they can get my yard looking as nice as my neighbors who recommended them. Update: The mowing crew came a week ago, but we decided that it was too wet for their equipment to run over, so we decided to wait a week. I mowed in the meantime so that it wouldnt be too long. They showed up this morning at 830am with 2 guys on mowers and 1 with a line trimmer. 15 minutes and done. Unfortunately, I had forgotten that they were part of the Delaware Nation! See the pictures! Yes, I was scalped! Update#2: After a couple more cuts, including one today on a holiday(Memorial Day), they are doing a nice job, and I am glad that I signed up with them. I added todays pictures. Update #3. Andrew provided fertilization and herbicide treatment today, and I must say that my lawn is looking better than it has in quite a while. Update#4. Our yard is the current McDot Farms Yard of the Week, and Hoffmans played a big part in that! Ive added photos accordingly. Update #5. Its a new year, and it looks like a new mowing crew. They are doing a great job, and Ricky has been keeping the dandelions at bay. No yellow, except the roses!

I have been looking for a yard company to take care of all my needs and was having a hard time finding the right place. Hoffman s is the answer for all lawn care. Mowing, fertilization, aeration, etc. So far the customer service has been amazing from Hoffmans. They have eased all my concerns and made me very comfortable with the plan we have set out for my struggling yard. On top of that, they could have sold me everything under the sun, but they recommended doing certain activities for best results.

Mac, Mac he s our man if he can t do it no one can! He did an awesome job with our property. We have a deaf dog that requires someone knocking on the door to make sure our pup was safe and he made sure to accommodate. He had great attention to detail (moving kids and dog toys out of the way). Plus he made sure to clean off the driveway and sidewalk after treatment. Highly recommend!

I had the opportunity to talk to Ricky when he was finishing up. I asked him a few questions, but he said he had only been on the job for a month. I told him it was not a big deal! First treatment of the season!! This is my first time using Hoffman s. I decided to go with them based off the recommendation of those in my neighborhood. I received an email approximately 24 hrs in advance saying they were coming for the treatment. Drake showed up on time, applied the treatment and blew off the sidewalk and driveway afterwards.

Hoffmans is the only lawn care service I have used that has done what they have promised.

Weve used Hoffmans for fertilizer & weed control for a little over a year now and have been happy with the results. Theyve always sent an email before any application and blown off the sidewalk & driveway. Yesterday, the morning after a night of severe thunderstorms and tornado warnings, they showed up to do the application and I found Mac walking the property to make sure the soil wasnt too soggy to drive the equipment on. I was extremely pleased to see him taking the extra time to check on this detail.

Very quick and efficient. The tech did a thorough job of applying the fertilizer to my lawn, which was much appreciated after the lackluster effort from my previous lawn care provider. He even blew off the loose fertilizer from my driveway and sidewalk.

Also, I returned to Hoffmans after a couple years using an organic lawn service because I wanted a more healthy lawn after reseeding the back two years ago. This company services my neighbors yard. Today around 330 a crew of 3 arrived, drove their truck and trailer through my front yard. When I asked them to not do that EVER again since there is a large barn driveway and u shapped driveway that they can turn around in, the driver proceeded to cuss me out. Then as they were leaving gunned their truck and speed away. I would never use or recommend this company

Hiring Hoffmans to come take care of my overgrowth that just kinda got out of control is the best decision Ive made for my home since moving in. Professional, courteous, kind... I cant say enough good things about how much these guys were able to get done in a day. It would have taken me months to do on my own (at a fraction of the quality as well). I have been a Hoffman s client for several years, and they have always done excellent work keeping my lawn in great condition. They are responsive to requests, punctual, efficient, and careful around the property. Our recent tech, Reese, is a prime example of that attitude. I probably get two dozen flyers and mailers from a variety of lawn care companies every Spring, but they all hit the trash. I m sticking with the best!

Great customer service. Andrew emailed me to let me know they would be at my property within 24 hours to apply the fertilizer. Unfortunately that wouldnt work with my schedule due to my yard would be overdue to mow at that time. I responded to his email explaining this and without any questions, Andrew was able to accommodate this, reschedule and come the following week to apply. Thank you Andrew. We received a fall application today from Hoffman s. The technician, Quentin did an excellent job. His attention to detail should be commended. Not only did he complete the application but used a blower to clean off our driveway and patio making sure he closed our patio gate completely.

Had Hoffman s come out to do lawn clean up, mulching and power washing Lawn Clean Up: 5/5. Team did a great job and the yard looks great. Trees were trimmed well Mulching: 5/5. No complaints. Everything filled in well Power Washing: 0/5. Left streaks on the side of my house. Contacted a company that does power washing and they said the only way to fix it was by possibly damaging the siding trying to clean up the streaks. You can see exactly where the nozzle passed on the siding in the attached picture. Would not recommend having them do power washing.

Drake was great. I do have a bit of frustration with the lack of knowledge some techs have with the layout of our property. On multiple occasions, including today, I had to point out areas they skipped. Primarily the island in front of our house and the slope on the southeast corner of the back yard. Drake was quick to treat it when I brought it to his attention, but I am not always here when the techs come. Perhaps they could be provided with the survey plot of our property layout.

Thanks for paying attention to details. Looking forward to using Hoffmans again next year.

AJ & Kyle surprised me! They came for our final yard treatment today. I already had holiday greenery on our fence. They needed access through the fence to complete the backyard treatment. They removed the greenery, & to my pleasant surprise they replaced it just as I had it! I figured I d have to re-hang the greens, but they re-hung the greens for me! Great job guys! And this year my backyard looks the best it s looked in years! Thanks AJ & Kyle!

The time and dates of when the crews showed up were never shared with me before they arrived. They showed up unannounced, it was tough to nail down a schedule of when the crews were going to come to my property. The billing was very misleading, the quote for the amount of work was wildly off. They spent less than two hours at my property doing yard work and charged me per person that came. 4-5 people came, did 1 hour of yard work and it was 75.00 per man hour plus fees came out to over $350.00. They came another time took less than an hour to clean out 3 flower beds and it was another $200.00. The total quoted service that I was expecting to pay was about $250.00. The people on site did a good job and I cant complain about the quality of work, but between the unannounced dates of work and the misleading quotes, I wouldnt recommend this company.

Hoffmann has cared for our yard for several years and has always been on time and responsive to any questions I had. Their techs have always been polite and explained any services they were doing. This week Mac weeded and fed our lawn. He worked quickly and carefully and was polite and congenital.

After another lawn company failed to do things properly last summer we had a literal jungle of weeds growing in our backyard! So we called Hoffman to come out (they take care of cutting our grass too) and they worked a miracle in our backyard! The trees look great and the literal forest of weeds is all gone! This is a great lawn service company! Dalton and Amber performed maintenance services to our landscaping, and did a great job! They were very professional, courteous, explained everything that was performed as well as the reasoning behind it, and made sure that I was satisfied before they left. We had been scheduled twice and no one showed up. Called them to cancel the service, they simply cancelled the appointments and didnt even care to apologize. All he said was Sure Ive cancelled your appointments! Like wow!! Very very unprofessional.

Originally, posted a 2-star review. They came out and explained the issues and apologized for the mix-up. The service was good today and they resolved my concerns. If this stays a 4-star it is because they kept up the good work for the rest of the season.

They are good at what they do and could be better on some areas but sometimes they get overwhelmed which pushes back schedules for everything.

I ve tried several lawn care services companies over the years and Hoffman is by far the best. They ve consistently provided great service at competitive prices and I am more than pleased with the results I ve seen in my lawn.

Hoffmans handled all the exterior lawn care this year. The lawn stayed lush and green all summer and was not effected by armyworms that damaged other lawns. They handle everything quickly and efficiently so that I could enjoy the lawn. We have them do cleanups in the spring and summer as needed. It is well worth the money to let it be handled.

They used to be really good. We liked the way our yard looked each week. They were consistent and did a thorough job. Fall of last year was when we noticed things weren t done as thoroughly. We decided to go ahead and start this season with Hoffman s Lawn Care and see how they did. Unfortunately , our yard doesn t look as nice. The grass is being done sloppy and hastily. The grass is being left with scalped spots, longer spots, and clumps of grass that are laying on top of the grass through out our front and side yard. We re finding cut grass laying in the flower beds, and several missed areas that are to have the weed eater done. When they have mowed while it s wet out we keep ending up with grass clippings sprayed all over the siding of our house. This wasn t the service we had when we first signed up. For $37 you would expect the service done to be very meticulous. We are currently looking for a company that can provide exceptional service.

This is second season using Hoffmans Lawn Care. They do a good job. Have good customer service.

Aerated our lawn when it was too wet. Cut deep tracks in our and our neighbor s yard. Didn t finish the job because it was too wet. When called about it not wanting to pay for that part of the service he was rude and combative. We will not be using again due to rudeness of owner.

We had use Hoffmans for our lawn care, landscaping, and aeration. We had them scheduled to complete our final aeration, which they complete after a week of constant rain on a day that it was actually raining. They destroyed not only my yard but my neighbors yard to the point I had to call my neighbors and apologize for the damage caused to their yards. I tried to explain to the owner that I would pay for the overseeding, but not the aeration due to the damage caused. The owner was unprofessional and combative. We will never use Hoffmans Lawn Care or recommend them to our friends. We still have damage present to our yard and hope that our lawn recovers by the spring. I discourage you from using this service. UPDATE: The owner reached out to me after seeing my review to show me pictures he took of my lawn from an angle that makes the damage to my yard not look as severe. While our yard is recovering you can still clearly see the damage caused.
