We have worked with Blessing Landscapes on several projects and could not be more happy with the results. Even with having a few bumps along the way, they stood behind the work and made it right - actually they made it beautiful! We had Euclides Perez as the construction foreman on both of our large projects and he is a true craftsman, an artist! Damon came out in July, to give me an estimate for some pruning work. We settled on a day in mid-September for the work to be done. Today was the day. Blessings was scheduled to come out at 8 am. I had arranged my schedule so that I was home and available. At 8am, a Blessings truck arrived in my cul-de-sac. However, no one came to my door. This continued for 40 minutes. At 8:40, I went outside to speak to the driver of the truck. What was going on? He was very nice. He politely explained that he had been told to wait for Damon, who would tell them what to do. He said Damon would arrive shortly. This seemed strange, but I said OK. A while later, another man came to the door. He was very nice, but he explained that no one had told them what to prune. He said that Damon needed to be there, and for some reason he was not, something to do with double-booking. At this point, there were a number of men in front of my house, waiting. They had not received the authorization to begin work (and they didn't know what work to do). I called the Blessing office, and spoke to someone there. He talked about software glitches, and computer updates, and other things that were not my problem. He said that the other managers were in a meeting and could not help me. I finally spoke to Damon. He said he had been double booked, and didn't know (?) about my appointment. He apologized, and adding that "next week might work better for me." The way he phrased it was annoying, as if he was doing me a favor to reschedule the job. I said that this morning would've worked better for me. It was also clear that the other job that he'd booked was more important than mine. I understand that mistakes happen. But it was management's defensive responses that caused me to write this review. Update: Blessings offered to "make things right" by rescheduling the job.
Our first introduction to Blessings was at the Portland Home & Garden Show in February this year where we met Rebecca. We visited about our landscape needs and she took our information to set up a consultation. We got a call not long after that with a time to meet with the landscape designer assigned to us. In about a month, we met with Roger Anderson to discuss our project and he said that he would have a plan/proposal for us within 3-4 weeks. Roger came to the house with a video, pictures of all the plants, pricing, and a plan for how the project would proceed - very impressive, but the best part was that Roger had listened to what we wanted and didn't want and came up with a plan around exactly that! We made a couple of changes in plants, but for the most part were absolutely delighted with Roger and the plan that he came up with for us!! He considered the different seasons of the year, as well as different colors and textures, and left room for the plants to fill in over time without looking all overgrown and bunched together! They had an opening in their schedule, so things moved pretty quickly after we got the boulders and paver pathway cleaned, which made a big difference in making the whole project sparkle. Installation took 3 days, with just excellent attention to detail by the crew handling it (kudos to Euclides Perez for his leadership!!). We decided kind of at the last minute to add lighting to the project and are very glad that we did!! That just happened to be another area of expertise of Roger's, so he hit it out of the park there, as well!! Most any project has a bit of stress that comes with it, but this one was four months beginning to end and we are just so pleased and it didn't really seem all that stressful!! For sure, Roger is our guy if we ever need any more landscaping done!!! He is just the best!!

We hired this company to design and install an overhaul of our small backyard from a boring rectangle of grass to something we enjoy seeing and using every day. Elizabeth's design took into careful consideration our somewhat unusual requests, and was super patient with our many questions, and the result was exactly what we were hoping to achieve. Rick, Carlos, and Luis then installed the project in record time, did so with care, and made sure to keep things clean after each day's work. We were so impressed with their work that we decided to continue working with Blessing Landscapes for ongoing maintenance, and if we ever need additional landscaping services in the future, I'm glad to know that I won't have to worry about calling anyone else.

I had my entire backyard cleared and re-graded with a French drain put in and tied into the existing water feature. While this mostly involved gutting my back yard of all existing plants, they did have to save and transplant my favorite ones. They added a corner retaining wall to create a patio area. Last, hey put in gravel pathways in the back and side yard which connected to my front driveway. It was basically a complete overhaul. Overall, I highly recommend them. They did fantastic work. Sarah did my estimate and most of the day-to-day communication. She was the first landscape I talked to who actually "got" what I was trying to do. She handled all of my (many, many) questions. She gets a little busy so her responses can take a day or two but she answers in detail so it's worth it. Richard was the supervisor/foreman. He is professional, experienced and detail-oriented. He goes over everything (usually daily) to ensure everyone is on the same page. I always knew what work was going to be done that day and what to expect. We discovered several problems during the project and he worked with me to fix and address every one of them. If he could do them within the current budget then he did, thankfully. For the one item he couldn't, he worked with me to figure out the best solution (time and cost-wise). Marco and Mariano made up the remainder of the crew. These guys were amazing hard workers. I was always impressed at how fast they got things done. They were kind and professional as well, always greeting me in the morning with smiles. They answered any questions I had when Richard wasn't available and I was very pleased with the work they did. Emily took care of the financials and was also very detail orientated. My yard looks beautiful. I would absolutely hire this company again.

This company has come to our neighbors house for years. They spray a yard that is basically dirt with weed killer, use a leaf blower for like 45 mins and leave. We have begged them to install landscaping, weve asked the crew to stop spraying poison for no reason. This is an urban close proximity situation (to other gardens that are organic and beautiful) that is ugly and unhealthy for everyone. They claim there is a landscape plan. Again, its been years now. at this point, its beyond degrading to the community and the natural environment they say they care about.
I m another neighbor of your (absentee) client at SE 26th and Caruthers. The entire neighborhood has begged this owner for years to plant something, anything in his prominent property which, with your help, he maintains in a brown, dead state. The chemicals you spray regularly (and because of this owner s total disregard for anything but money) I m certain are not organic. But organic or not, they hurt the immediate environment, from people to pets to worms to microbes. And where do you suppose they go when they wash down the storm drain? Offensive aesthetics and nuisance noise aside, enabling this absolute neglect of a potentially beautiful and healthy landscape is unethical. You can tell yourself if I didn t do it, someone else would, but doing your client s bidding in this case isn t being a conscientious steward of the environment. That landscape anything but a blessing on this neighborhood.
Blessing Landscapes installed a drip line, a new control panel, planted our curb strip and turns the entire system on and off each year, as needed, including testing. Great service, no issues.
Blessings Landscape recently completed a landscape project for us which they designed and built. Our small front and back yard had no landscaping except for a fence which we installed a couple of years ago. We wanted to turn it into a beautiful, low maintenance urban oasis. We love the transformation they made to our yard, enjoyed the design process, and appreciated the layer of management that kept everyone on the same page. It was delight to having Blessing Landscape design, build, and manage our project!

We LOVE this company! When something needs doing, they do it and on a timely basis. They ve planted new landscaping, fixed a major leak in our irrigation system, provided yard maintenance and everything has been wonderfully done. They are friendly, helpful, considerate, and accommodating to their very best ability. Smiles can even be felt through the phone. So glad we found them!

Blessings is one of the most professional companies I have ever worked with. From start to finish they have kept me informed every step of the way as to what they were doing and their timelines. The end result was exactly what I wanted. About 5 years after project completion there was a problem with the bamboo. Jesse personally came out and viewed the problem and it was rectified immediately, at their cost. Everyone in the crew was friendly, professional and some of the hardest workers I have ever encountered. We have recommended Blessings to several friends and they have all been very pleased with the results.

Very happy with there service
We have a large lot in inner NE Portland, with lots of decorative beds and shrubs, and had a full season of yard waste from a massive black walnut tree, whose pods are incredibly difficult to manage. Blessings team was amazing - worked with us to quickly define scope, negotiated a fair price, scheduled the cleanup within a week, and completed raking, waste removal, bed cleanup and edging, winter perennial pruning, and mowing in a single days work. They were very responsive and came back free of charge to clean up a small area that was missed free of charge the next day. Highly recommended without any reservations - we will be hiring them for regular maintenance - rates are really reasonable.
Beautiful design followed up by an implementation team that did a perfect and professional job. My only complaint is that there was a major disconnect between the initial rough estimate and the cost at presentation time. I would have liked updated estimates as we added to the project. But they made up for this with a beautiful landscape!

We have used Blessings for a variety of landscaping projects over the last 10 years and have always been pleased with the quality of the work. They have been very easy to work with during the planning phase and the quotes and pricing are very clear. They are very adaptable and will work closely with you to scale the project to your budget. They always show up when scheduled and leave the work site very clean. We now use them for routine garden maintenance every two weeks and are very happy with that service as well.
I am reviewing a large (for us) project that we had Blessings complete for us in May. A bit late on the review, only because we have been spending all of our time in our amazing new space. Rebecca absolutely nailed our design...and we were of no help to her (neither of us have an eye for design). She listened very closely to what we really wanted and did a fantastic job maximizing our modest budget. Ricardo was a great crew foreman and worked some magic with our old sprinkler system to update it and still save us some money. Hernandez and crew were incredible, friendly and very respectful of the property. They worked so hard to realize Rebeccas design through the craziest spring weather. We had a small hiccup with polysand scheduling and some of the work to finish up our patio, but Blessings shined through with their customer service to make it right and the finished product makes us so incredibly happy. We still have a lot of work to do, so we are putting money in the piggy bank until we can have Blessings come back for the next protect.

I feel so lucky to have found Blessing Landscapes to work on my yard. My homes landscaping had had little updates in the past 30 years and the prior owners let the grass die off and didnt prune anything for many years. Parts of the lawn were a boggy mess, my deck was rotting, the moss had overtaken the grass - it was bad! I had some very specific requests, including a new deck, and I didnt want to hire just anyone for this overhaul. I did a lot of research and reached out to various companies before deciding on Blessing. Roger created a beautiful design that was thoughtfully planned out with everything I was looking for, including a new deck design. Sarah worked with me closely on the logistics and pricing of all that the design entailed. Jacob discussed every detail of the project with me from the sprinklers to the hardscaping to future plant care. Cristian and Abel did phenomenal work with all of the removal, planting, irrigation system updates, etc and routinely checked with me to see if I wanted any changes made or needed them to do anything. Overall its been a stellar experience. I noticed some other reviews complained about the pricing. If you are looking for the cheapest landscaper on Google, this isnt them. You are paying for high quality work, which I consider to be an investment on my home.
From the beginning I knew we would use them. Fair pricing, good people and now we have a soon to be beautiful front area and back of our business. Salesman to office people, to workers. I recommend them for anything. Cheers to years to come!
My mother is a senior citizen and has been using this company for three years. They were great the first year, but for the last two years it has been a fight to perform the agreed scope of work and they have raised their rates every year. The manager of her account (Damon) has been out three times since this spring to walk through the yard and take pictures and note the complaints - all of which he agreed about. Not one thing has changed and the problems have not been resolved but they have required payment every month. She is held hostage because she is physically unable to perform the work and no longer even owns a mower. DO NOT USE THEM. Atrocious, dishonest, and thieving of the elderly.

We hired Blessing to design our backyard landscape. In the middle of the design phase we decided to remove our in-ground pool and re-grade our backyard which was on a slope and had to ask Blessing to re-design the entire backyard. They were very understanding and worked with us to get the plan exactly the way we wanted. There was a lot of back and forth and some misunderstandings about their policies but Sarah, Richell and Jesse were very professional. We are using our own subcontractors for installation, but would highly recommend this team.
We requested a quote for our lawn. What we got was an agitated woman named Maria and a confused crew. We were only interested in estimates, and when it came down to speaking, nobody knew a proper lick of English. That being said, Maria started blaming me and my family for not understanding what she was there for, given her demeanor and use of hands. She also tried showing me the contact information for my family that requested the quote, and it was inaccurate. Got on the phone with family who had requested the quote, and Maria stomped off, dragging her clueless crew with her. Im sure there is Integrity and Professionalism within your company, but sometimes employees make slip-ups. I hope your next reviewer finds better service with you. Mistakes are made, language barriers get in the way, but I hope this will serve as a learning experience. (In reply to company): Yes, I have confirmed I am reviewing the correct company. The lady who corresponded with contact info was Maria. Im not sure what you are getting at, but thats what I was told by the people who showed up. This isnt a false judgement, and the faults incurred are solely on your part.
I asked for a quote for yard clean up and regular maintenance. I picked companies from Angies List and from neighbor referrals. Blessing Landscapes was the highest quote by more than $500. I will be going with another company.
Blessings did a full overhaul on my front and back yards! Removed all of the grass and replanted with beautiful plants, shrubs, rocks and gravel paths...A beautiful and quiet oasis. They were full service, even bringing in a landscape designer for us. Fair price, kind and polite staff, work done in a timely manner. I highly recommend them!
Blessings was the third company we contacted and paid for their proposal. We loved their vision and their amazing visual presentation. The stonework, grading, electrical, irrigation system, plant installation and lighting fill the dreams we had. They are now a beautiful reality!!!
These guys are pros. We recently had a medium sized job (new sod, sprinkler work, landscaping) done by Blessings and they did a great job. After the job was done, a manger came out to inspect the work and make sure it was up to their standards- we had no complaints, but he wanted a few things touched up that we would never have noticed. Our experience with Blessing Landscapes is nothing but positive. We had an idea for a water feature but had minimal options for getting the materials into the space & were amazed at how creative Jesse was at getting the rocks for the feature into the space.
