TruGreen sprayed my neighbors yard and my dog got very sick the next day is having seizures . She will probably died . It even states in the chemicals they spray with that it does this to dogs. And of course you cant talk to anyone just runaround

The technician the did the service failed to secure the side gate properly, again. When not secured properly, our dog gets out and could run to Oakland Dr and get hit by a car. Also, could the tech come later than 7:35 am? We are usually still sleeping at that time. After 10:00 am would be much appreciated.

I have been receiving TruGreens full lawn service for the past 3+ years. Overall, my lawn has improved, but when the price is closing in on $2,000/year, Im allowed to be picky about the results. The patch of weeds near my driveway that hasnt been killed along with the moles in my lawn have made me question TruGreens effectiveness. After speaking to some professionals outside of TruGreen, there seems to be some questionable (borderline unethical) practices going on. I decided to cancel TruGreen for this season and go with a competitor with a higher Google rating and a MUCH lower price per season. Time will tell if my suspicions are accurate.

Needed help with problem on the front lawn. TrueGreen was responsive and on time to review the issue with me and offered a solution. Work starts next week. Really pleased with their approach and assistance.

First treatment of the season was excellent! On time and at the right time of year. The technician was professional and friendly. He listened to the couple of requests I had and followed up on them. A+ grade from this homeowner!!

We had top soil brought in by a local excavating company and the soil was loaded with poisonous hemlock. Called Trugreen and they were there right away to spray!

Absolutely terrible! Do not waste your time or your money. We paid up front to have our 1.5 acre property sprayed every month for mosquitoes. They came, and they only sprayed our front garden beds. I spent multiple hours on the phone or on the chat with them and got NO WHERE! I took two pto days on different months because it had become such a problem and I thought maybe the service tech just didn t know how to get through our privacy fence. I was trying to work with them; give them the benefit of the doubt. On both of my days that I had taken off of work, I got the notice in the app the the tech would be arriving and then that he d arrived. Followed up shortly by, we re sorry we were unable to complete your service today. Two PTO days! These were days that I could have actually gone on a vacation! Well over 40 hours on the phone. Time I will never get back. TruGreen is the absolute worst company I have ever received a service from. Do not waste your time or money. They will not connect you to your local contact. You will get the runaround every time you call them. You will be told one thing and then a week later when you call back because you haven t been refunded, they will declare that there is not record of your phone call that you spent your entire evening trying to complete, the week prior. TruGreen owes me more than a refund. They owe me a vacation. They took so many of my evenings with my family. They took so many drives home where I could be unwinding with an audible book. Instead I was on the phone with the 187th customer service agent trying to just get them to spray my property. You know? Do what I paid for. Save your time. Save your money. Save you sanity. I m my opinion, TruGreen should have a Better Business Bureau investigation launched. They are criminals.

We ve had TruGreen for 3 years and our yard is still covered in purple weeds. The dandelions are all gone now but that s it. We hired them because we don t know what our yard needs to look it s best, but we end up having to call them to come out and do what needs to be done.

Made false promises and guaranteed saving our beautiful tree which ended up dying anyways. Waste of money, fraudulent sales pitch and very conveniently renew your services and charge your credit card without you even knowing about it. Stay away from them unless you want them to charge you for killing your tree. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

BEWARE!!!! I called them for a quote about 4 years ago (never even paid for a service) and to this day I still get weekly calls from them even after asking multiple times to be put on the do not call list. When you block the number, they just call you from different ones. Don t call them for their free quote unless you want to be harassed for the rest of your life.

We have been on TruGreens seasonal rotation for Flea and Tick Spraying for a couple of years. This year has been HORRIBLE. Kalamazoo serviced our yard on 4/29 and then has not been back for May or June even though we are on autopay and a monthly rotation. I have called THREE times and keep getting the run around. Notes are added to my file, supposedly messages are sent to the Kalamazoo manager and someone is always supposed to get back with me the same day but never does. Now we are up against the holiday weekend and I will have a yard full of guests who may now be exposed to ticks because of Kalamazoo, Mi TruGreens failure to honor our contract and spray my yard. They say they can be out on July 5. That does not help my weekend guests. I am beyond angry and warn any reader about using this business. Im sure there are other pest control services in Kalamazoo that would do a better job for you. With Kalamazoo TruGreen, there is no commitment to provide any service they promise and you will not be able to talk personally to anyone at the Kalamazoo branch. This whole experience this summer has been unacceptable.

Sales guy shows up, makes speech promising the saving of a sick tree. Tree dies, second tree is weakened now and nothing has not improved overall. Generally, what a waste of service and a fraud of a company. Then, they auto renewed, dont tell you, dont charge you until suddenly later. Requested my money back! Take care of your own lawn, they just show spray cancerous chemicals and leave. Joke!

TruGreen came to my apartment complex on Tuesday 7/12 and sprayed. My complex didn t inform residents prior to the lawn application and TruGreen didn t put appropriate signage out to notify it was sprayed and it s made several dogs here sick (vomiting and diarrhea). It cost me a $400 vet bill. We have many kids and pets here playing on the playground and in the grassy areas and I am appalled they would spray this stuff knowing it could make them sick.

Does not always arrive on posted day. Having weed trouble and continue waiting for additional care. No one comes on day stated.

I was very disappointed. My lawn has more weeds now after two years with True green than when I started.

The mosquito defense works as advertised. Behind our house we have woods with a pond/swampy area. The mosquitoes have been terrible for years, I thought perhaps the spraying would reduce them but not take them away totally. I stand corrected.... This entire year we saw only 2 mosquitos the whole summer. Im not kidding! It allowed us to enjoy our back yard at night where in the past the mosquitos would have driven us inside. Well worth the money, which wasnt really that much for what it gave us in return.

Asked for a free quote said they bill me $500+ I said no cause I was to gonna pay it but now tru green workers show up to your house and sit in there trucks watching tik tok then leave a half hour later and I get billed for the work doing absolutely nothing I wont pay for someone sitting on there phone in my company parking lot highly not recommend dont waste your time or money this company has terrible service they wont stop sending me the bill

Absolutely trash. When I bought this house last February, the lawn was in great shape except for a little patch in the corner of my yard. I used multiple different services with them including; tree and shrub treatment, mosquito control, and even reseeding. Well winters over and my lawn is revealed with moss now growing in my yard, and multiple grass less patches around my yard. Absolutely Infuriates me that I spend that much money for them to trash my yard. I will let everyone I know NOT to use this scam of a company. And for anyone reading this, please save your money, and go with someone else for your lawn care needs, because I promise you, your gonna regret all the money you threw to this pitiful company.

I have been trying to talk to a person about my bill, but in spite of repeated tries I cannot get to talk to them.

Cancelled service in 2020. For whatever reason Trugreen decided to restart service without my knowledge. You can not contact the local Trugreen as all calls are forwarded to corporate call center. So far Ive had three calls to corporate call center without resolution. Ive been told my account is not active however Im getting service and billed for service I didnt request or want. Looks like BBB complaint next and if bill goes to collection Ill file complaint with AG office.

Billing questions not responded too. Put on wait list, they have called back but hung up on me twice without me saying a word. Over an hour wait time. Called new business line, 2 minutes got human he was aware of issues but could only send me to billing phone line, trugreen still screwed up. Going to find local lawn care. This after 15+ years with them.

Customer service is an absolute joke. They bill you for services that they haven t performed and then when they try and do it again, they treat it as a freebie, even though you ve already paid for it. Prepaid for 4 tree and shrub services and before they completed any my account dropped by 1 with no explanation. Asked for a supervisor and 7 days later just canceled all together. Shop locally at least then you have someone to reach out to. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

Had a service on 7/26/2021 and I now have large areas of yellow and dying grass.

No one ever showed up, but I got billed anyway. I did receive a email invoice, so someone received a free lawn application, but it wasnt me. I did call and was told someone would contact me within 48 hours which didnt happen, then called again and was told the work would be done in by the end of the week, but again nothing. Its mind-boggling how poorly ran this company is and if it was just a local branch the leadership there needs to be evaluated.

I am very pleased with the review I just now submitted except for the one complaint I have. Mosquito extermination. If you could remove my opening remarks along those lines, I would be proud to promote TruGreen for all the ways they are so GOOD!

Horrible they sprayed my flowers and killed I would never use them again stay away from them

Yesterday. a TruGreen Specialist aerated and seeded our yard. I had requested the more care be taken in seeding that last year when grass was sown in my gardens. The specialist, Levi Krame, did an beautiful job! He stopped seeding about 6 inches from the gardens and put the seed down by hand avoiding getting seed in the gardens. I am very appreciative of the care he took in doing the service! Thank you!

I have been calling for the past 16 days requesting a call from a manager. After 20 phone calls the service representative tells me the manager has made notes that he tried to contact me on several occasions. Well, had he left me a message I would be calling him back NOT customer service! They come spray my lawn every week, yet I have more weeds than I did before. They spend less than 5 minutes spraying my 1/2 acre yard, definitely not enough time to spray the entirety of the yard. Not only do they do poor quality work, use chemicals that obviously dont work, and their customer service is nonexistent. Dont waste your money

I prepaid last fall for this years service. The last 2 months I was charged for service. Apparently they auto renewed my service without me knowing about it, notifying me that it was going to happen and when I asked about it they also wouldnt refund me. Theyll give me a discount for next years service instead. No going to happen. Ill never in this lifetime use TruGreen again.

Had a prepaid package well before Corona lockdowns. Should have had first application before lockdowns but didnt. Now after I keep getting rescheduled with no notice and no notes on a reason, just keep getting told it will definitely be a date next week that cant be changed ( 20th, 27th, June 3rd). I cancelled my package today when they could not provide a reason for my reschedule. Starting a 7 application package in june does not work.

Not dependable mosquito service at all

New customer. Charged me for service that I did not want, or need. Then did not come out Last month. I had to call twice before someone said they would put me on the schedule and they would be out no later than Tuesday. It was Thursday with no service still that I called and cancelled. Performed excellent service on my lawn for years. Always showed as scheduled, lawn looks great. Pushed a few services I didnt need but not aggressive.

I was suppose to have a service done yesterday, between 11:00 - 1:00. Since we had two dogs and a doggy door, I stayed home to keep the dogs in. 1:00 rolls around and no sign of Tru-Green. So I waited another 1/2 hour. And No Tru-Green. I then called them, explaining to them what had happened, the spokes person said that they would have somebody to call me back about the problem. I waited 45 minutes and still no reply from Tru-Green. I called them again !! And repeated the same story, again I was told someone would get ahold of me again. 1- 3/4 hours latter, No Tru-Green. So here I go again, calling. After again telling the same story, the girl said that she would send my information to a Supervisor, and that the Supervisor would call me back. And guess what. NO PHONE CALL BACK. Now today is the next day, 3:00 in the afternoon. And STILL NO PHONE CALL. This is totally unexceptionable. I surly thought that I would have received a phone call this morning. But, NO CALL. I payed for this service in early spring for the season. And for them to treat me like this is Very Very UnProfessional.

I reached out to obtain a quote for summer lawncare services two summers in a row (2019 & 2020) and never received a response. Fast forward to a few weeks ago, Ive now seen two TruGreen Lawn Care vehicles speeding down my road. If you want business, you should really respond to the quote inquiries you receive. I wouldve been a loyal customer.

The technicians are always friendly and answer any questions that we have. I really like the advanced notice of the appointments as I can make sure the lawn is ready for the visit (grass mowed, sticks picked up, etc.). The app messages of when they are arriving are very helpful also.

Ive been using the mosquito control this year. I found that they do look very good job of controlling mosquitoes I have not been bothered by mosquitoes at all this year. As I said before, I hate mosquitoes, and Im glad they are gone.:

This company is truly a sham of a business. They missed multiple appointments, which we usually found out about days afterwards when we would get a notification that they couldnt make the appointment. The mosquito control we paid for was a joke, and half the time they never even came to spray, even after we reported seeing mosquitoes. One time they arrived at our house and sat in our driveway for 2 hours. They never got out of the truck. And then we got a notification that they couldnt do our lawn service that day - LITERALLY WHILE THEY WERE SITTING AT OUR HOUSE! Any time we would contact the company to complain it fell upon deaf ears and was met with total indifference. The final straw was today, when we just got a notification that they completed our lawn service today. We have been working from home all day - no one from TruGreen came to do any kind of service. We paid up front for a service that we barely received. Not only will I not recommend this company, but I will tell everyone I know what a dishonest, deceitful, and apathetic company this is.

The absolute worst company I have ever done business with. The first strike was they charged me more than I was initially quoted on the phone. They tried to double the amount per visit than I was quoted. Second strike, I have two acres of land which they quoted for service. My initial appointment was canceled 3 separate times until I threatened to cancel the plan. The fourth time I showed up to meet the technician and ensure the work was done. When he arrived he told me he did not have the equipment to service my lawn as he only had a walking spreader and my size property would require a ride on spreader. He stated this was never entered on my account and that they only had my property size down as 10,000 sq. ft. For reference, 2 Acres is over 87,000 sq. ft. Third strike, I decided to show up at home one day when they were supposed to service my property. Both for lawn care and pest control. The technician was at my property for only 10 minutes. I waited for the final report to be attached to my door to show what services he performed. The report stated the gentleman both fertilized my lawn and completed a full pest control service. In 10 minutes. I cannot agree with those who have already said it here, RUN RUN RUN. These people are CROOKS. Edit: Emailed Melissa per her request. She asked what it would take to make it right. I offered to pay for an entire year of their service if they would provide the year of service I had already paid for and not received. I was told that the best they could do was provide a new quote and I could pay them to actually perform the services that should have already been completed. Point stands: RUN AWAY FROM THESE GUYS.

I recently had my yard sprayed for ticks and fleas by trugreen. They were on time . Micheal explained when I could let my pets out to potty and it did not take long. I am very pleased!

Beware. If you avail of their services this year, make sure you cancel if you dont want them to come back the next year. They worked on my yard without authorization and charged me for it. Their reason they gave me was they automatically do your yard if you dont call them to cancel.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE RUN AWAY! This was our experience with TruGreen In Michigan. They never showed up on time. I was told three weeks ago they would show up and never did. They sprayed our lawn May 29th. They were supposed to spray again in June they never did. Yesterday they finally showed up sprayed and charged us DOUBLE because they said they werent able to get there in June. Plus they sprayed our back yard when we made it VERY VERY clear that we did not want our back yard serviced because we have small children and a dog that we do not want to have get sick from the chemicals. Horrible service, horrible customer service. CANCELLED RIGHT AWAY! I am telling everyone do NOT use this company.

What a terribly run organization. I only became a customer because they could not figure out that just because I have 5 of my neighbors mailboxes in my yard, they should spray their yards, not mine 3 times in a week . Now that I pay them to treat my yard, they dont .I have had terrible crab grass three years in a row .I have called 6 times, no one calls back, all I get are excuses. We called your disconnected home line. I see in the notes you said call your cell and delete the home number .sorry. I promise that it is being escalated to the next level?!?! I have been told by technicians not to call the national line, only call local, or the managers locally will come down on the drivers. I want a refund for all the services I have paid for and not received. RUN, dont walk away from TruGreen .They are truly awful. The customer service people seem nice, and they know what is supposed to be done, but they cannot do the jobs of the managers. I would give the company zero stars, but Google doesnt give the option .

Experience with service was good, but cancelling has been a nightmare. Id like to preface this review with the fact that this is my first Google review. I requested no auto renewal 2 years in a row as I wanted to prepay for the year and not AUTO renewed at $30/ service. Both years they said this was completed and were either lying or just completely failed to fulfill their promise. The reason I stayed for year 2 was they offered me an excellent prepaid discount for mishandling my account. When it came time to renew this year, I was frustrated because once again i received a call for my AUTOMATICALLY RENEWED SERVICE I had previously requested (now twice) not to be a part of. Irritated, i was passed around to multiple different representivies in the company ending with the general manager of Portage, Michigan. He was very nice and said he couldnt do my project for the price I wanted, which was no big deal. He said my account would be canceled. My frustration today spurs from the fact that I just had to call again to cancel another scheduled service! There is no reason it should take three attempts to cancel service! If I could I would give a zero star review for wasting my time babysitting my lawn care company. Im sure I am not the only that has had this experience.

Just cancelled my service. I watched as the trugreen employee sporadically sprayed my back yard and did not even do the front yard. He spent more time in his truck writing up the service he supposedly preformed than he did spraying my lawn. Theyve been charging me for 11,000 square feet. I should have believed what Ive heard about Trugreen. Shady business!!

I think that the folks at TruGreen do a great job. They are helpful, both when I call and when I speak to the person servicing my lawn, and responsive to my questions and concerns. The outcomes are always what I expect based on conversations and promises.

They do an OK job, but dont ever try to cancel, because they will show up at your house anyway and then send you a bill later. They are relentless and will call you back forever to sign up again. I have blocked their number more than once and somehow they call me from a different one. Its like being stalked by a lawn care company and really creepy.

My last treatment was on 15 May 2014 and it was done by Matthew Matlock. Mat completed the service in a timely and efficient manner. Mat always says hello on his visits and gladly explains any area of concern. My service has been of very high quality and very professional. The quality of all service has been above reproach. I would say that you get excellent all around service with Trugreen and their technicians have all been top notch. I am moving next summer. I have prepaid for the annual service and will recommend that the next family continue the service. I have been very happy with the service and feel good about recommending it to the next family. If I move before this contract expires I will pass the remainder to the next resident. This may help encourage them to continue.

True Green has always been on-time for all their appointments and has fulfilled all the promises that were made at the time of my subscription. The price was fair considering the time and money it would have taken for me to perform the same services.
