I havent had the opportunity to actually hire black lotus (yet) but I did a lot of research on landscaping service companies in the area to help us with a clean slate in our new home. Black Lotus stood out to me as the best option amongst all the competitors. I texted for a quote and whoever has been texting me back has had really excellent communication and is working with me on finding a solution that is more aligned with our restricted move-in budget. Really enjoyed working with Blacklotus Landscaping! They took our requests and gave us a beautiful back yard, replacing a steep rocky hill. Black Lotus landscaping did an amazing job for us, building a patio with pavers, also helping us with some walking paths and planting some attractive plants around our property. Our yard looks so much better now. They were very professional and we would recommend them to anybody!

Blacklotus Co. did a great job in removing old brush and vines, leveling the area, spreading new topsoil, and bring in bark-mulch. Jon was particularly helpful in providing several workable options to landscape our back yard area. Once the project began the team helped a great deal in offering good advice in several areas. All personnel were easy to work with and did a great job.

We had them in for a look at a large rocky slope in the back of our yard, and the consult was quick and informative so we hired them to do the work. It met and exceeded our expectations! The 1st part of this review is for the most recent project to grade and level my driveway and add a slate path so I can roll my barrels out easily. Crew 7, Zora, Mason and Nick not only did a fantastic job in all aspects, they brought the best vibe, showed interest in my specific concept and kept me updated at every step. Zora even showed me some of the favorite slate pieces they picked for me. (You know how I love rock and stone!) So that enthusiasm really added to my overall staisfaction for a job very well done! I highly recommend Jon and all at Blacklotus Landscaping! Earlier project review with a current photo, also cant really show you how level my driveway is now, but they scraped so much aggregate that I let build up over years (deliveries I used to fill potholes and alleys nearby), they were able to fill and grade the length along our neighbors alley too with the excess. Win win! The photo of the slate path only shows a small part of the utility path (and favorites, a sunset and a Jupiter piece selected by Zora and Nick respectively Love it! Jon and his crew did a wonderful job landscaping and mulching our yard. Thought and consideration was put into how our yard will look in 5 years and beyond. We are so happy with the quality of work, professionalism, communication, and timeliness of the job. We needed a demo of a large trex deck, a fountain, and large garden area, transplanting numerous bushes, and digging and building a 60 foot French drain along the span of our yard, and bringing in gravel and prepping for a concrete patio expansion. They had a full crew between 3 and 4 people show up on time and put boards on the grass and concrete to make sure their equipment didnt tear up the yard. They cleaned up the mud and tools before they left every night. The crew were all very nice and easy to talk to and were very knowledgeable about plants and had a great eye for design. They didnt bounce around from job to job like other companies so it only took them 4ish days. And when there were changes during the process we had great communication with Alex so we were always on the same page. We are so happy we went with them for our yard project!

We used Blacklotus Landscaping for a big yard weed cleanup as well as to build a rather long rock retaining wall. Their hard-working crew did an excellent job and the wall is not only well-built with drainage but is beautiful with carefully-chosen plantings. We have observed Black Lotus Landscaping maintaining the front of properties in neighborhood while waiting for our house to be completed. Their people were fast efficient and responded to questions we had . I had no idea there was a bird bath and a ceramic frog in the over grown area in the front yard! Every time they come I am delighted at what they uncover as they weed my place into shape. The crew did a wonderful job, took the time to assure they did the hedge trimming and trees to my extreme satisfaction. These guys really came through for me. My retaining wall in my backyard failed because it was made from rotting railroad ties. This retaining wall was not only holding in my leech field but the foundation of my house which is perched on a steep hillside. John came out and gave me an estimate and was able to start work within days of approval. They then got the job fast and efficiently and exactly on budget. My yard actually now looks 100% better too and is more environmentally friendly since they not ony got rid of the raildroad ties but inserted native plants. I now have a yard full of songbirds who are giving me their stamp of approval with their presence and song. I will definitely be using their services again and update pictures once everything blooms.

We recently completed a backyard landscaping project using Blacklotus. We removed the existing sod and mulch from the original builder, removed two trees, leveled and graded the area, installed a 500 sq ft paver patio, installed multiple raised planter beds with decorative rocks and a dry river rock creek bed for drainage, ran drip irrigation lines and installed a 20 foot wide custom trellis. Jon, the owner, and his crew were excellent, thorough, responsive and transparent throughout the project. Jon has an excellent eye for what is possible and is very skilled at what he does. He was always transparent with timing and cost. We are very pleased with the outcome and would recommend Blacklotus for a landscaping project without hesitation.

Black Lotus Landscaping did a complete redo of my old yard with a broken sprinkler system and a huge weed-filled dead lawn area. I wanted a smaller lawn area to maintain and a more natural yard with different elevations and native plantings to blend in the forested areas of my property. They did an OUTSTANDING job! While I had a general idea of what I wanted, Jon and Alex were able to listen and come up with a stunning and workable solution that delivered less maintenance and a more natural feel for the yard. They were able to reuse rocks and vegetation from other parts of the property, retrofit the old sprinkler system to work with the new plan, and I even got the small water feature I wanted. Their crew were outstanding, totally accommodating to my requests, and extremely conscience of my property ..they even took the time to throw balls for my insistent Aussie. Since the big trucks bringing material in had chewed up my gravel driveway, they even took the time to grade it smooth as they were leaving. I contracted Blacklotus a couple years ago to design and landscape the yard of my new construction home. They did a phenomenal job, gave us exactly what we wanted, and my yard has been a pride point of mine since they crafted it. I just recently had them come by and lay new mulch as well as some basic lawn repair, this visit was just as pleasant as the first one. We recently completed a full redo of our yard using Black Lotus. Our previous yard was your typical the builder didn t want to spend any money and didn t and new, young-ish homeowners don t know how to do anything . The you tried meme would be appropriate here. Now, when I say full redo I mean: removed an existing retaining wall, leveled and graded the entire property, installed a new lynch creek wall, installed 30+ trees in lieu of a fence, placed large stone throughout, ran drip lines and a sprinkler system, built multiple raised beds, and planted a large amount of new plants. They did everything, we ll take no credit. There isn t a single corner of this yard that wasn t touched. We truly really had no idea what we wanted (other than a new wall) and were completely open to anything. We now have a beautiful, defined, easy maintainable but still natural yard. We are officially real grown ups and we have the nicest yard in the neighborhood. Every time I go outside I can t believe this is ours. Jon, Jamie, Alex, Kurt, and Jeff are some of the most kind and personable people we ve ever met, like the the kind you d want to grab a drink with. These are the type of people and businesses you want to work with and support. If we had any more yard at all to hire them for, we absolutely would. We d give more than 5 stars if we could.

They mowed, edged, weeded, raked the flower beds, limbed trees, reshaped the hedges and blew off tree debris on all the cement areas. They even reseeded some areas that needed a little TLC. They always do such a beautiful job and I appreciate them so much. They have done my property for several years now and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality work.

Jons crew and himself did a great job for me here at Pt. Orchard, WA. I needed two huge piles of debris removed. I also wanted steps put in on both sides of my front yard. We contacted Blacklotus Landscaping to cleanup a fairly large embankment of brush and trees, install a rockery of medium sized boulders, land sculpting with 160 walkway, plant plants and cover area with mulch. Blacklotus exceeded our expectations and we would definitely use them again.

We had Black Lotus create a low maintenance garden in our back yard that includes various plants, stones and also a drip irrigation system that keeps the plants watered. They did an excellent job and we highly recommend them.

Jon and his crew do good work. I own a rental property in Port Orchard that needed quite a bit to bring it back to good again. Blacklotus removed a dangerous tree in the back, as well as several smaller ones, and cleaned up a very ugly ivy situation. They did all the standard stuff as well...weeding, mowing, leaf removal, etc. When I met with Jon for the estimate, he gave sound advice, including dissuading me from removing a few trees that just didn t need to go. He chipped the trees he did remove and used them to bark the areas around the house, another little trick that saved money. He went above and beyond to make the finished project nicer than what we agreed on. I also appreciated the tips he gave me for taking care of the tricky Japanese maples at my own home, a project I ve been working at unsuccessfully for a few years. He is a knowledgeable professional and Blacklotus is reasonably priced. Overall, I had a very positive experience with Blacklotus Landscaping.

They did a fantastic job designing and creating a rock garden for me. I initially gave them fewer stars because I had a false belief that an underlay should have been used under the rocks, but I have since learned their reasons for not including that were solid. I have actually never ever worked with any company which tried so hard to clear up misunderstandings and make sure I was happy with their work. i can guarantee Black Lotus will not give up on you until you are satisfied, because honestly, I was difficult to talk to at first until i saw how hard they were working to make it right. if they were all about the money, they would left me alone to stew, but they went way out of their way to turn around my experience. That is why I think they are the best at what they do.

From initial concept to execution of transforming my yard, Jon and Curt were always communicating with me about what I had envisioned and what they were doing. During the work day, Jon would make suggestions about what would work better for the project, but if you had a way you wanted it to look he would happily accept your feedback and make it happen or caution you why it was not a good idea or propose an alternative. Jon and Curt s work ethic, along with everyone they bring, is impeccable. My job was quoted as being completed in two days and it was. They stayed until we were all happy. We were referred to Blacklotus Landscaping by Fred Chang. Our first job was to have a rock wall moved to straighten our driveway. Blacklotus gave us a reasonable bid. They did a wonderful job plus pulled out some overgrown junipers on the other side of driveway and did a few rock placements to landscape that area. We had them come back twice to trim back our overgrown ivy. I asked Jamie at that time if we could put in a rock wall to eliminate the ivy problem. He gave us a bid and then found out the city wouldnt let a rock wall be put on the city right of way. I was very disappointed. Jon came up with alpine landscape design that was acceptable with the city. It turned out very nice. All our neighbors approved of the changes to our overgrown ivy hillside. We find that Blacklotus is very knowledgeable on all phases of landscape design and yard maintenance. They are prompt and very professional in all that they do. We would highly recommend them to anyone needing a landscape service.
