English Gardens Landscape Company in Pontiac

Buyer beware, truly poor quality all around. Do not hire, don't trust this company. They took my money, didn't answer my calls and took forever to give me a copy of the landscape plan. Horrible landscape plan, I can't use anything on it, the things that were discussed weren't on it, worthless and a waste of money. Worst $500 I have ever spent, and to get nothing, they totally stoled money from me. In the end $500 for nothing. Don't waste your time or your money !!

Erika and the team at English Gardens Landscaping are wonderful! Couldn't be more satisfied. The customer service is over the top. The plants, scrubs, sod, flowers are all superior quality. My yard has been transformed and is beautiful. Thanks Erika and team for all of your hard work and special attention!!!

Don’t even bother calling for landscaping. They really have no interest in helping you. The website sounds great, but it is so apparent the attitude is (I can’t be bothered).

Stephanie, the designer, did an amazing job! I needed a dog and chicken friendly area and she knocked it out of the park!

The initial design we received had most of the dimensions of our house and yard wrong by several feet. We provided them with a vector scale drawing of the correct dimensions, and asked for a couple modifications. After months of poor communication, incorrect dimensions, and design alterations that were the exact opposite of what we requested, we finally received a landscape design that was correct, only to be told that they didn't feel comfortable proceeding with the work on our project. Don't waste your time, or your money. Extremely unprofessional.

Update: Jim Morris reached out to me (Director of Landscape and Holiday Decorating Services) and remedied the situation to the best of his abilities. I appreciate the prompt service. ----------------------------------------------------------- First Post: Find another company for landscaping. You'll get more for your money. You think you're going to get a premium service, stellar quality, and a beautiful finished product because you go with a well known company such as English Gardens, but what you get is sub par or even more disappointing. The landscape designer also likes to underestimate costs and then adds large additional costs once your project is done. This tactic is deceitful and puts the customer in a place they can't refuse because the landscaping project is complete. The designer will rope you in with an monetary amount that might be slightly over budget, but again, because it's English Gardens, you are willing to go with it. Then they push you even more over budget by the end of it. The landscape designer was aware of the clay like soil therefore, he should have measured the amount of mulch and debris removal appropriately. At least that's what I thought. I essentially paid for the landscape designer's miscalculation. You will too. I don't recommend English Gardens landscape designers.

I enjoyed working with Sterling and Carolyn on our new landscape project two years ago. They were great to work with and our new garden looks terrific. Two small bushes didn't make it through the winter and with one email, they were replaced in two days! Wow! I would recommend their services to all!

Totally dissatisfied with their ability to deliver on their landscaping services. While, we as the customer, met all of our deposits to move to the next steps from design to install, English Garden failed to deliver. We found out on the day they were to begin our 4 flower bed install, that they were not coming because their main person was hurt a few days earlier and they couldn't make it. So, while my husband took the day off and after we called to find out what time the crew was coming and learned they had to reschedule and they would not compensate us for our troubles, we cancelled the project. Nice thing about English Garden, they refunded our money, which was used to get another company who did an excellent job at half the cost. Would not recommend them.
