The Other Side Lawn Care in Pocatello

Terrible absolutely terrible. I had them come and submit a bid for snow removal in a small office complex in Pocatello. We also talked about how much extra it would be to clear the sidewalks as well. They submitted the bid and we gave them the job. After the first three snow storms of the year my tenants were wondering why they were not coming and removing the snow. Snow was 4" to 6" deep in the parking lot and no one had some for the snow removal. When I called the company to see where they were they told me they only shovel the sidewalk and the extra charges for the sidewalks are for any ice melt used. They were not even the lowest bid but their original response time was good. This means someone else was clearing a whole parking lot for less than these guys charged for shoveling a sidewalk; but, they never came anyway. If you want reliable service and want to know what you are getting up front...Keep shopping!

I have been using these guys since moving into our home about two years ago. Not only did they do a quality job on the yard and sprinklers, but they helped out with other jobs around the house as well. Really enjoy the "no job is too small" great work ethic, sets them apart.

We were happy with the work done. Nice young men and easy going. Always willing to answer our questions. The problem came when the job was done and final payment was made. We had an issue with the breaker that they connected the sprinkler box to, it was now causing an outlet not to work. We noticed this about a week after work was completed. After letting Preston know he told us that we said it was okay to install to that circuit. It felt like he didn’t want to deal with the problem. After a couple of weeks of giving him the opportunity to fix the problem i decided to look into it. I found that where they connected the box some of the wires were disconnected. I put them back together and everything worked. I don’t mind the issue happening, I have a problem with the way he handled it. It felt like he was more worried about profit than customer satisfaction. It’s a shame cause we still have lots of work to do at our house but we feel like we have to call someone else now.

Very professional and willing to work with us. Preston is a man of integrity, and we found him to be honest and trustworthy. Highly recommend and would definitely use again. Excellent communication all the way throughout the job.

The Other Side Lawn Care crew did a fantastic job upgrading parts of my existing sprinkler system and adjusting other parts to provide better coverage. They were on time, professional and very helpful. I brought them back a week later to install a new sprinkler system controller and I am very satisfied with the results. More work planned in the near future. They get the job done! We used the guys for a second upgrade job and the service was awesome.

These gentlemen showed up and got the work done 30% faster than they had bid me. They tilled and leveled my entire backyard in 2 hours. They were polite and objected politely and then accepted graciously, when I paid them for the time they bid me as a tip. Great young men.

The Other Side Lawn Care did a phenomenal job on my yard. They're punctual, well spoken, and know how to get the job done. 10 out of 10 would recommend. I couldnt have asked for a better company.

The kids are a joke. Very first time I used them I had to call them back to finish the job. I thought I’d give them a second chance and had them give me a quote on just my back yard. They gave me a quote of $35 for the back yard so I had them do it. When the kids were close to being completed with the back yard I went out and told Preston I had to run some errands and gave him $40 and said keep the extra $5. He said thank you. About an hour after they had completed and left he texted me asking for my email address so he could send me the invoice/receipt so I gave it to him. And right after that I received a bill via email that I owed $45. I messaged him asking if it was a mistake and he stated no it wasn’t that because the grass was taller then he thought that he was charging me a total of $85. I then said are you kidding me????!!!!!! His quote was for $35 and he never once said it was going to be $85 total. Very bad business practices and I don’t recommend anyone use them because they will give you a quote and then do the job and then send you a bill for double the price they quoted you and then have the nerve to tell you they will send you to collections if you don’t pay it! Hahaha. Two young immature kids that don’t know how to run a business. Donnovin funny you have the same last name...... but there where no changes in the work to be done. Before he started the job I told him my green waste can was full so he’d have to bring bags or another waste can. The proper thing to do is tell your customer before you start the job the actual quote and then ask them if they’re still wanting the work performed. Not give a quote and then complete the job then tell the customer that the price has more than doubled from the original price that was quoted. These guys are snakes and are either lazy or not very knowledgeable about running a business.
