Working with Green Stuff for another year has again been a great experience. They continue to be very responsive and really easy to work with. I appreciate their service this past summer and will continue to work with them next summer! Thanks for another great year, Green Stuff.

Green Stuff is very good at lawn care. This will be third year (2025) coming up. Customer service is also very good and accommodating.

When something went wrong, like their equipment damaging my hose and gate, they fixed the problems.

We use GreenStuff for aerating our lawn each fall. They are always very prompt and thorough and so a good job. We ve never had any complaints and highly recommend them for aeration.

Ryan and his team have managed our professional building for several years. We have been very happy with their service. They are very reliable and respond to our special requests respectfully and quickly.

I also appreciate that after each treatment they leave a note in your door saying what was done, when, and any specific directions (like stay off for 2 hours, or mow higher this week) if needed. I called to make an appointment for a quote for service a week ago. To have someone come evaluate our needs it was a $50 charge, to be deducted from your bill if you choose them - I thought this was insane, but was pressed for time so I said okay. Then I called today to see when they would be coming because I havent heard back on scheduling an appointment. They said I am on the schedule for TODAY - but since they didnt tell me that, I had already made other plans. I asked for a time and they could only come when I was not available. The manager said they only get to Stillwater once a month and didnt know when they could come back. I am not sure if they realize there are many other choices. I cancelled and will be calling someone else. What a joke.

Mowing at 7:45 is too early, bruh. And when the grass is wet and dewy after a night of rain, using big machines, you re hurting the turf. This is a company that wants max profits, not healthy lawns and happy neighbors

I had my Lawn detached, but thatch was not removed. I ended up raking it up myself, before we had a good amount of rain that night. I called customer service and they apologized and said the thatch should have been removed and offered a modest discount. Next time I will make sure they remove the thatch before they leave!

I am such a valued customer that they are offering me a SAVINGS of $9.60 for THE YEAR! This is laughable. We decided 2023 would be our last year w/them. They spend no more then 4 minutes on our lawn with each application. I believe our lawn hasnt improved at all. Were saying byebye after 6 years.

Ive used Green Stuff for a couple years now after switching from TruGreen because their prices kept going up. I do deal with quackgrass and Im not sure that the Green Stuff fertilizer applications have helped much with that, but they have kept my yard free of weeds just as well as TruGreen did. So I would say Green Stuff and TruGreen are pretty equivalent in terms of their services. Both will come out for intermediate applications if weeds are popping up, and both do about the same thing. Ill be sticking with Green Stuff as long as the pricing stays competitive!

Highly unprofessional. Setup our account at wrong address and on asking about the issue they hang up the phone. Cora was their representative and I won t recommend anyone to take their service

They basically did aeration on the left and right side of my house for neighbors. That left a small patch in the middle remaining at my house that would ve taken all of four minutes to run across with their machine. I called them to see if they could give me a small discount (not free) of some sort to finish the small middle section. No, I m sorry it will be $100 .. How about staying off my yard then!! Way to win a customer.

Scheduled for lawn service on Tuesday, was told that it was pushed to Wednesday due to the holiday. Called Wednesday afternoon to ask about my lawn service and was reassured Someone would be coming out that day to mow. No one ever showed up to mow my lawn ended up very last minute having to mow myself for a large event. Extremely unreliable. Will not use again.

They have me a quote of 600. I have an acre of land. I moved new to this house and the lawn needed a cleanup. There are leaves in all the edges and also a bunch of branches everywhere. I brought a lot of the branches and everything in one place. I booked them for cleanup and haul. First time they sent 3 guys who didn t pick anything from the edges or anywhere. Then when they were leaving, I asked them to clean the branches and leaves and they moved everything to the edge and left. Then, I called these people and they sent one person who hauled just what I had put in one place. Didn t do anything with the leaves and branches on the edges. I was done. I can t keep calling them to do a good job. I paid them on time but I will tell this is one of the worst services I have received in the US. The second guy started blowing leaves but did it for 20 seconds and stopped: must have thought it s a lot and gave up. So sad.

The Green Stuff Lawn drives recklessly at Plymouth. Speeding in its tank truck almost made it roll over. Shifting lane without blinkers like driving a race car. Zero sense of safety and doesn t care pedestrians and other motorists. Wouldn t expect any care or attention to its customers.

I used Green Stuff lawn service last year without incident and decided to use them again. We had a service performed early this year where we had some issues. Im reasonable and simply called in to modify the account notes to let the crew know we dont not have foldable downspouts and not to weedwhip around the new Rainbow playground equipment. The next service we had done I can only describe as malicious, incompetent, or both. One downspout destroyed, they had a blind toddler doing the weedwhipping around the playground for a second time causing exponentially more damage after I specifically said not to. There also seemed to be an area where the mower deck was dropped to the ground cutting almost all the way to dirt. They tried to fix the playground equipment themselves, which I ended up paying Rainbow playsets to fix anyway (almost 200.00) and never addressed the wrecked downspout. Edit: the company covered the cost of the repair to the swingset which I appreciate.

I would NOT recommend this lawn company to my worst enemy. I had a beautiful green and healthy lawn and now it s filled with large burnt spots and dead grass. The burnt spots were evaluated by the University of Minnesota, Extension lawncare and a Turf Management specialist. They both concurred that my lawn damages were caused by: high nitrogen fertilizer, over-spraying and spraying occurred on a very high temperature day. The owner(Ryan) visited my property and stated the burnt spots were caused by your hot riding lawnmower tires and your lawn is stressed. The only problem is, I don t have a riding lawn mower. He took NO responsible for the poor service and damages to my lawn. Again, run the opposite direction when you see this lawn care company. See attached damages.

Worst customer service ever!! Requested a meeting to review problems in lawn as a new customer but they dont do detailed lawn care plans/visits. Office manager told me I needed to see a mental health doctor. They said, I wont waste a stamp to send you a letter. Check your security cameras to see if theyve actually treated your lawn. Youll have a better looking lawn if you do it yourself.

Ive been using GS for over ten years and have been very satisfied with the thoroughness of their work. Their applications are overlapped to prevent streaking and the applicators are polite. They are far and above anything True Green has to offer. Their office staff are also very professional.

Best to be home when they come to service your lawn. Our neighbor watched the young kid treat (& I use that word loosely) our lawn. Almost half of it didnt get treated. Last week we were home when they came. We watched out the window. When the kid finished & handed me the invoice,I asked him to get back out there and do the WHOLE LAWN!!! Nobody should have to be home,or have a neighbor watch out for them. Young kid says there were no notes for him to go by. Really?! Im hoping theyll do better next Spring,or theyre done.

I thought the rock vegiation was a waste of money and my applicator even wrote me a note saying it was. I guess I thought that was applied beginning of the year, not 3 months into summer.

The Green Stuff Team is very dependable and friendly! The first time they mowed I had some tall grass around my oak tree and the supervisor asked me if it was ornamental grass before he mowed. By him asking this question I knew he was thoughtful, and customer focused.

After our first year of treatment the lawn was looking lush. When we had a need for post emergent treatment they were very receptive and over right away!

There are other companies out there that we can use but are happy with Green Stuff.

I received an estimate from this company in May 2023. I found them difficult to communicate with, and they refused to give me any idea on when service would start. We were in a rush to take care of a lawn in the new house we moved into that was just totally decrepit, so date of service start was very important to me. I decided to book with another company, so I didn t sign the estimate, which clearly states that it needs to be signed in order to start services. Imagine my shock when, on the day the company I did decide to go with shows up, so does Green Stuff. They were pissed. I got some calls from their admin team, where I reminded them repeatedly that I never agreed to or signed for the service. They again sounded pissed, but basically left it alone for months. Then I started getting calls and emails, which I ignored because, once more for those in the back of the room, I didn t agree to their service. Apparently one of their techs did something while they were here (an $84 service) despite the fact that there was no agreement. They are now claiming to bring me to court and ding my credit because of their mistake and $84 that is supposedly on my account. Frankly, I have been screwed by so many companies and contractors this year, that I have had it. I would love to see proof of service agreement - they ve never seemed to be able to cough that up.

I like the fact that when I tell them not to fertilize certain areas they pay attention; they also notify me a day in advance as I have dog that can go outside through a doggie door.....

We have been using Green Stuff to mow, aerate and spray our business lawns for 22 years and have been very pleased with the services and the prices. We have a little bit of a tricky lot and on occasions, a fill-in person might do our property and miss something but they have always taken care of it later.

After fighting a losing battle caring for the lawn myself for many years I decided to give Green Stuff a try. I am very satisfied with the results. I mulch when I mow and cut the grass high, and combined with their treatments I had a green, relatively weed-free lawn all through last summers drought (and I didnt need to water it at all!). Creeping Charlie, which had taken over in many areas, has disappeared. Also, when a section of the yard was missed on the first treatment, they responded to my email immediately and were out in a couple of days to respray.

Green Stuff came into the picture and in 3 applications over the Summer and one in the Fall, my lawn looked like a lawn again. A neighbor commented on how quickly things got better. Used for the first year in 2021 everything went according to plan. Last two treatments seemed closer than a month apart. But being a pandemic and labor shortage they met my needs. Always responded to my questions in a timely manner. In the middle of summer called me to see if they were meeting my needs.

I had used Green Stuff Lawn Service for four years and had a great looking lawn un til 2021. The service tech who came out for the third application over fertilized my great looking front yard and burned out the grass. Three days later my front lawn was dead and brown. The Company denied any responsibility. I would not recommend this service.

Weve been using Green Stuff for many years now and have been happy with their services and the results. We have what I would call an unusual lawn, not your standard rectangle. Its an awkward shape, on a hill, and has plenty of obstacles like rocky landscape areas. Green Stuff doesnt have any problem with our unusual landscape and has served our weed and seed needs, aerating, and pest control to get rid of digging critters. They do it all with excellent and accessable customer service. I recommend Green Stuff if youre looking for a local company with great service.

Driving like a psychopath almost causing accidents shotty lawn care wont be using the service again

Since I ve installed cameras for other reasons, I ve captured Green Stuff missing the other side of my yard several times in the past two years. Even after I mentioned to them the side of my house is the side with the most weeds, probably because they miss it majority of the time, this continued to happen. What really caused me to end my service with them completely was after kicking my fence door open. I ve never had any guests, my own teenagers, family members or friends, kick my fence door because they were too lazy to open with their hands. To have someone who I pay to service my lawn kick my fence door like this is beyond disrespectful. I would highly recommend you install cameras if you continue or plan to go with Green Stuff, or better yet, seek another lawn care company because they too, did the same thing with my brother s home, captured on camera. Missing half of his yard. This clearly shows, I m not the only customer affected here.

My ring caught them drive up and put an invoice on my door but no spraying the yard. I double checked the last time they came and same thing just someone putting an invoice but no spraying my yard. When I called they had the tech call me and he was angry and said he did herbicide so I would not smell anything but my invoice states fertilizer.

I called and complained and told them that seeding was not acceptable that was the last I heard. The kids who did the aireation and overfeeding were very rude to my wife I have used this company for a few years but no longer going forward. I am preparing for a fight on an outstanding invoice that I am considering not paying photos of my lawn after overseeding and aireation below

Although they took care of the creeping charlie that was already starting to die by the time they did their first application, weeds still remained. After calling and complaining about the operators lack of uniformed application, the weeds remained on the edges of the fence lines and sidewalks.

Green Stuff did a terrible job on my lawn, left a lot of long spots, left a lot of piles of mulch on the lawn & came different days, I would call to see when they were coming out they would say tomorrow, and they didnt come on that day. They did not like to bag the grass. I would never get Green Stuff again. It surprises me that the people that mowed my lawn doesnt know how.

Ive used Green Stuff for a few years now. Its been a good experience. I get a call the day before an application and I dont have to do anything other than grab the work summary thats left on my door. They also service my mower in the winter so its ready to go in the Spring.

I would not recommend this service. My lawn was in MUCH better shape before they started taking care of it. In the three years of them doing my weed control, my yard has been taken over by weeds and had bare dirt spots all over the yard. My neighbors used to say how great my yard looked before I started using this company and now my yard looks worse than my neighbors that do nothing with their yards. Their response to my issues is to tell me that theres nothing they can do and to fix it myself.

My landlord pays for a professional to come out and mow our lawn and the guy who comes out to mow our lawn, is very unprofessional, very disrespectful, and did not mow the whole property. He rides on a lawn mower that should take care of the lawn the professional way as your company portray themselves as and supposed to be detail oriented when he damaged five of my solar lights the previous times he came out also. He only cut 1/3 of the property which was totally unacceptable, this is the second time he did not cut the whole property once again. He told me because there was a piece of glass in the grass and that is not his job to pick it up, I told him to show me where it is at so I can pick it up and he refused to get off the lawn mower to show me. So I contacted my landlord and also sent her pictures of his unprofessional job that he did which this is the second time that he didnt do his job. Hes a guy with a non communication skills personality and is very very very unprofessional. I hope that you hire people who are going to appreciate the fact that they are detail-oriented versus hiring someone who is not detail oriented and is not professional at all whatsoever!

Their pre-emergent weed control was not great as I had more crabgrass than ever. They were able to get that pretty much in control and did an OK job on dandelions, but other weeds such as Creeping Charlie and Clover kept growing and spreading. They came out a few times to treat these weeds, but to no avail as they kept growing and spreading. I called multiple times and they promised to send out a manager to treat these, but no one showed up even after multiple calls and promises missed.

We recently had Logan out to service our lawn. He did an excellent job of covering all areas and doing a very thorough job. Logan took the time to do it right!

I was driving down the high way and one of Your trucks threw something out the window.

After being promised by the owner, they would call ahead his people not only skipped half my lawn multiple times. Ring cameras showed skipping the entire front yard. They failed to call a day ahead to allow me to close my dog door to the yard, which was promised after issues the prior year. After leaving my gate open multiple times , my dog got injured and they did nothing, they agree to make things right and did nothing. No refund as promised and did not show any concern for injuries. Do not use if your dogs have any access to the yard.

Do not use this business! After 3 months, there have been zero results. Completely unprofessional and they don t care about their customers. Their owner Ryan is also a piece of work. I will be submitting to BBB. Go elsewhere. GOOD THING TO KNOW: They will try to collect and will not do any improvements to your lawn, instead of trying to solve the issue like a real company. I ll post the before and after. Zero improvement. SAD!

Was happy with the service the first 2 years, now the job seems to be rushed through as fast as possible. I was recently contacted by an office employee and I told her that they are skipping spots that used to be mowed. She said that it would be taken care of but still no results. I feel I pay a premium price but only get a mediocre result. My neighbor asked why they dont cut the whole lawn anymore? I told her they wouldnt be cutting it next year!!!!!

Green Stuff accidentally came to my address instead of their customers. After reaching out to customer service I was unable to get an answer on what had been done to my yard and what I should do going forward. Frustrating as I fertilized myself less than a week ago.

Checking thru emails, and dont remember if we EVER replied to this! This is our first time using any lawn service. You were recommended by our son, who you are providing mowing services for. Our lawn has been in terrible shape. So many weeds: crab grass, violets, and huge amounts of creeping Charlie. We started with service later in the season than we should have, but we are very happy with the results. Very little of any weeds left by the fall. Next spring we can concentrate more on evening out our lumpy areas, and parts the dog scruffs up. We also appreciated the notes left behind regarding what we should be doing after the application, and the current weather when they applied it. And we plan to use Green Stuff again this spring.

We have been a commercial customer for years and pay a set rate on a monthly basis. Out lawn is almost non-existent and out lot is small yet we pay almost $400 a month for service. Its been a slow winter so we have only seen them here a couple times however we just had rain which then froze into an ice rink on our lot. Didnt see Green Stuff show up so I gave them a call to see if they can salt/sand our lot however I was told that we ran out of bulk salt so we cant do anything until next week. Looks like we are paying for a service we arent getting. If they really cared they would spill a few buck and pick some up at the store so that they can satisfy their contracts; apparently customer service and retention isnt much of a concern.

Brand new customer. First application all they did was get out of their truck, put the sign out and put a bill on my door. All caught by my ring doorbell. They clearly didnt spray. Called and they supposedly sent a manager out, to argue with me, even after watching the video. He tried to prove me wrong by saying there is wet drops, well the blizzard had started right before they treated my lawn. So they clearly didnt do anything, billed me, tried to prove me wrong (even though its all on camera) and did it all right before a winter storm. Beware of these folks, they dont do what they say and are not customer service oriented.

I am highly disappointed in the service I have received from Green Stuff. I called to cancel their service. The woman who answered the phone was apologetic about the situation and forwarded my call to her manager. He gave me the run around and did not offer to do anything to help rectify the situation. I requested leaf service last fall and was told a week later that their calendar was full and couldnt do it. No follow up to see if I still needed the service this spring. My back yard looks atrocious. No offer to come out and look at it and see if they could help. They dont seem to care. If I could give them no stars, I would.

We hired Green Service for the 2019 Summer to take care of our mowing. Great prices and good communication. We really appreciate how predictable they were with their schedule and time they came out to mow. Will definitely use next summer!

It would be great to know when the service is scheduled so we could mow the lawn prior to being sprayed. Some services require the grass to be mulched which when its pretty long leaves huge clumps of grass which we would like to avoid with a little advanced notice. Additionally, I thought our contract covered the flower beds which dont appear to have ever been sprayed. Finally, we have many patches where we would like to grow grass. But it seems there is always pre-emergent which prevents any new growth. We dont have dandelions but I do see thistle growing from the flower beds into the lawn.

They just don t get it right in the office! Said they would call ahead but then just shows up to do it regardless of what we agreed to but what more than overly ambitious when it came home to bill me

My lawn looks great. I have an irrigation system and I mulch my clippings so all I need is one application in the spring and one mid-summer.

Overall they do a nice job. My only improvement suggestion is that they use more weed control in the spring. My lawn always has weeds and tree sprouts after the first application.

Green Stuff has improved the quality of my lawn immensely this year. I appreciate their communication. I would have appreciated a little more generous of an application for the price that I paid. I felt like there was a sharp line right at where my lawn line was. I would have appreciated the few inches additional under my deck (where I only have a few inches of clover).

Room for improvement this early in the season. 2 of 3 incidents of last weekend were delayed due to equipment failure issues. Its my hope that those kinks are worked out now. Green Stuff service is fine, it took more than 2 -3 years of trying to get the Creeping Charlie out of my lawn. I continue to ask Green Stuff to use a more powerful spray to get the Creeping Charlie out of my lawn. I actually just went to Home Depot and got spray to combat the Creeping Charlie and it worked on the combating the Creeping Charlie this year.

The reason I didn t give 5 stars is because they can t seem to control the creeping Charlie which seems to be getting worse every year. I call every year, they put another application on, but still no improvement. I wish they d just tell me there s nothing they can do or actually do something about it.

In years past the service was OK. They quit showing up for service. This year I called three times to try and get my first treatment. They said they were behind due to a late spring. Finally I supposedly got the first treatment in late June. My yard is full of weeds. I am going with Trugreen. Im glad I didnt prepay.

I had never had any problems with the lawn company in the past and they always showed up for lawn treatment as far as I could tell. But recently they had billed me for mowing service I never signed up for. They corrected the mistake and the woman that had hung up on me previously when I tried explaining that I had never signed up for service was much nicer when she called me back. I still canceled my service however because I think that they could use some improvements on their billing and communication with clients.

I have had green stuff for a while but my lawn looks bad. I called them and they put a note in my door, I call you. I never did so after 5 days I called them and left a message, no response, so I called again and left a message no response so after another 2 days I cancelled my service via email, then they called and emailed me he told me to water more so that will get rid of the weeds and bare spots? Now I just discovered they put through an unauthorized charge on my credit card in the amount of $180.00. I did not authorize this charge. Beware they store your credit card numbers and charge you even when you do not approve a charge!

I was quoted $41 for the last 14 years and referred multiple clients to them over time and today I got my invoice like I do after each application and they are now charging me $61 per application because they said they have undercharged me for the last 14 years for my size of lawn. I am also supposed to receive a $20 discount for each referral and he said I cannot give you that anymore so therefore I do not recommend this service as it seems like they don t care about the customer and the service they provide and apparently they feel it necessary to raise the price without notice.

I had some winter mold damage to parts of my lawn last spring. I hired Green Stuff in hopes of bringing it back to full life. It never did. Some parts actually got worse. The technician that applied fertilizer was in and out in less than 3 minutes and I was never sure he actually sprayed the entire lawn. I view it as a waste of money and will not renew.

Love that they call me beforehand so I can unlock the gate and that they are not afraid of my 90 pound dog!

First full season with them; service has been good and prompt the reasons why I am not giving them a 5 is : Missed an are on the side walk for crabgrass spray; called them on it and resolved it promptly. Care/skill of operators on grass cutting service; in slope areas of my yard they did not take the right angle to approach them and left carved out areas in my lawn. As said before they are very responsive and sincerely hope they take this feedback in the spirit of continuous improvement; they will have my business in 2019 and hope I can give them 5 stars at the end of the season!

Overall service was good except when I asked them to call the day before service so I could pickup my dogs toys before they are covered in fertilizer or to make sure they were inside when the tech came and they failed to do so. Not sure if I will use them again next year.

I signed up and pre-paid to receive lawn service for the season for my place and my mother-in-laws place. For the first application, I think they came too late because I still had plenty of crabgrass in my yard. I had to call them back to see when they were coming as I was getting concerned that time was running out before the ground gets to warm to treat the crabgrass. So it is either that or the person applying missed large areas in my lawn that had crabgrass. Throughout the summer, it seems that my lawn (both front and back) had many weeds. Especially the back lawn. After todays application, I now know why because I was home at the time. The person never applied to the back yard. So I questioned him about it. He said that the gate needs to be opened. Well, I have a dog and I keep the gate shut for the times I put the dog out. I also do not have a latch on the outside for security reasons. So if this was a problem, then notify me. I was never notified this was an issue and never given notice of when they plan to pay a visit to do a treatment so I can plan ahead with the gate. I was left to believe they were treating the back lawn all the time. And worse yet, paying for it and never received any treatments for the back yard. I should get a refund for half the amount of doing my yard. I hope Green Stuff reads my review and then think about how they can better serve their customers. ***Update: I did receive a call from Green Stuff Owner or Manager. I was told by him that the employee should not have even applied chemicals to my front lawn if he could not get into the back yard to apply there as well. So he would talk to this rogue employee and address it with him. He said that it was other employees that applied to my lawn other times during the summer. I still have to question if those other employees applied to my back yard or not as well because as I stated in my initial post, I had lots of weeds in my back yard throughout the summer. So thinking I paid for the full yard to for the entire season and only got half done. :(

Green Stuff started out with consistent service, even when I needed a re-spray. However, in the past few months, they missed scheduled spraying dates and have completely skipped the aeration that I requested. I started out this season as a new customer with a very positive experience, however, the service has been disappointing and frustrating since. I will likely NOT be a return customer.

Green Stuff completed a chemical application on my lawn and something spilled or leaked from their truck onto my neighbors grass, causing a large dead spot. After repeated conversations with them, over a month went by and they still had not taken any action to fix the situation. Now i will be fixing the problem they created at my expense. Extremely poor customer service. I will not be using them in the future and I would recommend others stay away as well. If i could give them zero stars, i would.

Green Stuff came out to perform an inspection and routine fixes on my automatic sprinkler system. They showed up when they said they would, did what they said they were going to do, and charged a reasonable fee. I would use them again for this service in a heartbeat.

Green Stuff Lawn has been great to work with. They have very reasonable pricing for the quality work they do. Ive recommended them to my neighbors when they asked how I keep my lawn looking so good. Hiring them for their snow removal services this winter was an easy decision.

After recommending services which were then never performed, despite multiple phone calls to alert them to this, they finally came out to our home and mowed 2/3 of our lawn. We were not signed up to have our lawn mowed, and they must have realized this half way through mowing, and decided to stop. Of course, they never actually performed the service they were supposed to do that day. After multiple phone calls without appropriate action, we finally canceled our service for the summer. Now, we are still waiting for the appropriate refund (since we pre-paid for the full summer), which also has taken multiple phone calls, without any action. Its worth it to pay for the more expensive companies, since the work actually gets done.
