In a word - EXCELLENT! The Problem: • Our split level home in Westchester is located at the bottom of a steep hill. • During hurricane Ida, we had a massive amount of water crashing onto the rear of our property from up the hill that subsequently hit the rear of our property, winding its way into our basement right at the base of the foundation. • To make matters worse, in spite of a brand new large separating wall created by our neighbor, there was some sort of a water main break up the hill, that would leak a large bucket of water every 5 minutes from below this large separating wall onto our property. • The rear of our property was like a swamp - rife with mosquitoes during the summer, and of course totally incapable of absorbing any water given the level of saturation. • We needed someone to comprehensively address the water management needs and prevent any further damage to our property foundation. The Solution: • Chris Vallejo and his excellent crew of G&D Landscaping started out with a detailed review of the drainage issues over multiple meetings with us. • They provided us with a clear and detailed estimate for the proposed solution, timeline and material that they were going to use. G&D Landscaping solved our complex water issues by putting together an superb solution as follows: 1. They built us an excellent smaller wall made of Cambridge stones that contained gravel and earth and housed two drains - one large drain to capture any overflow water that comes onto our property from the larger separating wall as well another drain that captures the water flowing beneath the larger separating wall. 2. They installed a French drain that runs parallel to the Cambridge wall across the entire rear of our property. 3. All these drains tie into 2 large Culltec Re chargers that capture all the water from the drains and any other surface water. 4 Another French drain was also installed - this too runs parallel to the house close to the property wall with small by pass to handle the air-conditioning unit. Any water not captured by the previous French drain by the rear of the property is captured by this new 2nd French drain. 5. G&D Landscaping also redirected the water from the gutters and leaders directly into the newly laid down high quality SDR exit pipe that now takes all this water out on to the street. Our Recommendation: • Chris Vallejo and G&D Landscaping have earned our admiration and trust for completing a difficult job within time and budget exactly as they had proposed. • We loved their honest, straight forward, calm and professional manner of interacting with us and so will you. • If you have any landscaping, masonry and drainage related issues - make sure you give them call.

G&D was recommended to me last minute after receiving other quotes but decided To meet last minute. Chris was very professional, knowledgeable, and honest about the installation process for my new paver patio. Got his proposal within 24 hrs and was very impressed how different and detailed the quote was compared to other companies. Their crew were very skilled, respectful and trustworthy. From the installation to the clean up, everything surpassed my expectations.
