We had a tree fall in our driveway that needed removed. Freds was the first company to answer our call and came out a couple hours later to give us a quote. While he was here, we decided to get a quote on 3 additional trees that we wanted removed on our property. His prices are very fair. The crew showed up first thing as promised and removed 4 pine trees in just under 3 hours . The crew was extremely hard working and cleaned up well. I highly recommend them.

They are professional and timely in their response time. Thankfully due to the storm blowing a HUGE tree down. But this isnt the first time we used them and they are always wonderful!

Have used Freds before for pruning maples and I believe they saved the trees. Had a big dead oak and a couple of smaller trees in backyard that needed removal. Was afraid of the damage the equipment might do to the yard. They have a state of the art tree bucket I believe they called a Spider with rubber treads that goes 83 ft high! They cut the trees down with precision and didnt damage any sheds, shrubs, birdhouses etc. The clean up was immaculate, They even blew off patio which had a slight bit of sawdust on it. I can barely tell they were here except for some slight impressions in grass, which they even raked to fluff up. We couldnt be happier!!!

I had a tree split during a storm. I called for an estimate and Fred came out about 15 minutes later because he was in the area. He gave me a reasonable price for that and a cleanup job. His crew showed up the next morning and had the tree cut 3 stumps grinded as well as the tree pruning and ground cleanup done before noon. He left my yard, driveway and street spotless.

By far one of the most professional companies with very well trained employees!! Very trained in the industry, mindful of the property, efficient and by far the detail in the cleanup on the property and neighboring property is exceptional!!! Hard to find workers like that anymore!!

Tree got knocked over after a storm. We were unable to access the front door and the living room window was covered by the tree as well. I called Fred at 09:00 pm and he said he was in the area and would be over in half an hour. He showed up and took a look at the job. Have a fair price and said he would be over the following day. A crew showed up and we re like a swarm of worker bees. The tree was gone, and the yard cleaned up in about an hour. They were fast reasonable. Will definitely use them again.

A large tree came down onto my daughters & son-in-laws house while the family was out of town, I called late Sunday night & was able to speak directly to a member of their team. Fred was at the property 7 am the next morning to assess the problem & gave an estimate that same day. The estimate was reasonable considering the size of the tree & circumstances. AND a crew came in the afternoon & removed the tree before it could shift & cause more damage. The crew was professional, efficient, & respectful of the property. They worked hard & fast! And the clean up was so great, the appraiser said he thought he had the wrong house! So grateful they responded so quickly & highly recommend Freds Tree & Lawn Service.

They came yesterday and gave an estimate, showed up at 9:30 AM today and the tree is removed and my yard looks great.

We and a huge oak tree in the front yard that had become a pain to deal with...leaf cleanup, clogged gutters, etc. Freds crew arrived with a fleet of equipment (chipper, bucket truck, stump grinder, skid loader, two roll-off boxes).The crew had the tree down and gone that day and returned the next morning to level the lawn and clean up. These guys worked so hard I got tired just watching them! Great job. Would absolutely recommend.

Fred s Tree and Lawn Service was great to work with, they went above and beyond what I expected. Fred is an old school guy, when you shake his hand it still means something. He came out and quoted a very fair price for the work then showed up with a full crew to knock it out. Fred and his team cut down 4 large trees 80ft+, ground out 10 stumps, cut everything into logs for splitting, and even raked the yard clean. I could mow the grass right after they finished, it was impressive. I would highly recommend this local family owned business for all your tree needs, give Fred a call you will be very happy that you did.

They removed a line of tress and cleared the brush for me. They were very hard working and polite. They got the job done quicker than I thought they could, and left the site clean and looking good. I would use them again.

Communication is extremely lacking. Took at least seven phone calls to get an answer of when they were even planning on coming to cut my tree down after I said I was interested. Each time I talked to them they sounded confused and annoyed. Then he showed up unannounced to cut the tree down one morning but left me a voicemail saying theres a car in the driveway. Didnt even bother knocking on the door. Then I called back and tried to get an answer of when he would be able to come back and he said Ill call you next week. Never called. Thank God, because I hired someone else to cut it down for half the price. Cant comprehend how anyone can run a business like this.

Paid $500 to have tree branches trimmed back from roof. The crew cut ever branch off the tree and left the trunk with a few leaves. Fred said, It will grow back. Now the beautiful tree that shaded my yard is dead. He said it was a Mulberry tree and they are hardy. Guess what? It is not a Mulberry tree! Not only does he not know about trees he does not care about your trees. Money is all he is after. Beware!

I highly recommend Anthony and the team at Fred s Tree Removal. Very professional. Removed a small tree and some large shrubs and grinded the stumps. Did a great job at a fair price and worked quickly and efficiently.

Freds tree service was great. Fred gave us a fair price quote then showed up five days later as promised. The workers were highly skilled and had the right equipment. We had an old weeping cherry tree that died. They removed it, ground the stump and the roots, removed all the dead wood and did a nice job cleaning up. They worked fast and were gone in less than an hour. We were very impressed and would use them again.

In todays time, it seems that service providers or contractors are not responsive however, that is not the case with Freds Tree Service. We called and in less than a week, Fred came out, gave us a great estimate(looked at 2 others) and 4 days later the job was completed. We had 3 mostly dead cherry trees removed with stumps grinded and Fred alerted us to another tree bordering our property which was hollow. He gave us a quote and his crew removed that one the same day. I would highly recommend Freds Tree Service to everyone as they are professional, friendly and their clean up afterward is phenomenal!!

Freds tree service was great! They were very responsive in calling back and coming out to give me an estimate on trimming 1 of our trees. It took about 2 days from my 1st call with them until the tree was trimmed. The workers were very kind and also cleaned up including all the leaves that the tree had dropped prior to them trimming. I would use them again.

Fred and his crew removed two trees on my property and eliminated the stumps as well. One tree was incredibly large and in a tight spot between my house and neighbor. Extremely hard-working, very polite, professional and left my yard cleaner than it was when they arrived. Trust me, this is the company you want to do your tree work. Fair prices, show up on time and makes sure you are happy before they leave. Fred will get all of my tree and yard work from now on.

Long story short, these guys knocked on our door this morning because our neighbor who was getting work done told them that we were also interested in getting our trees pruned. They were professional, did things in a timely manner, and cleaned up very well after themselves. Im very happy with their service. I would recommend them.

Fred came out the same day we called to give us a quote. There was absolutely no pressure, just factual informatiom on best options for our tree. Work was done within a week from when we decided to move forward. Great price and great service.

I just had a man from this company yelling at me on the phone. Totally took advantage of my 80 year old mother. Appalled at his behavior and unwillingness to rectify the situation.

Please take your business elsewhere. The owner and employees are as rude as they get and will take advantage of overpricing customers. They also require payment prior to services rendered then will not perform the work that was agreed upon. There are plenty of reputable businesses in the Pittsburgh area that are better than these unprofessionals.

Worked well around electrical wires, a very professional team of workers and left the property clean. Would hire again.

We had Freds back this week for more work after the great job they did a year ago (when rarely-ever-seen wind storms uprooted a large, tall pine tree in our yard). We had one remaining tree to take care of and were happy to hear that they could fit us into the schedule very soon. The yard was level and immaculate, we appreciated their work.

We recently had a high wind event in our area and I had two VERY TALL pine trees uprooted, one with a root ball the size of a diner table. And there were MANY cases of people with trees down. I called Freds and within 30 minutes, he showed up and gave an estimate. About twenty minutes after that his team showed up and got to work. It was like one of those nature films where the film the ants taking apart something at high speed. Within two hours, the trees, including the root balls were gone, the holes in the ground fixed, and all cleaned up, like nothing happened. The only evidence that something happened was the mounds of dirt where the trees were. ==============ADDENDUM 10/31/19=========================== Had some trees that I were afraid were going to be knocked down in an upcoming windstorm. Called Freds, and he gave me A VERY GOOD PRICE, but originally said he couldnt make it until AFTER the wind event. But I got a VERY GOOD SURPRISE today as he and his crew came, took down the two trees like a horde of army ants and trimmed another tree that he recommended be trimmed. His crew did all of this AND cleaned up IN THE RAIN!! Couldnt be happier with this because it eliminated a MASSIVE worry. I called this man to have some work done on my trees and he drove past my house and then called me to tell me what I needed done which is fine. I called him back later to tell him that I changed my mind about getting one tree done and that I wanted to get both trees done. When I called him back to ask him a question, he was very rude and short with me as if I didnt have a right to ask questions! Then I called him back again to let him know that I was going to get another estimate and he was rude again and cut me off in mid sentence. LEARN HOW TO BE KIND AND PATIENT WITH PEOPLE WHO ARE WILLING TO PATRONIZE YOUR BUSINESS!!! I WILL BE GOING WITH ANOTHER TREE SERVICE COMPANY WHO APPRECIATES A NEW CUSTOMER!

I couldnt recommend Freds more. You wouldnt be able to tell they were even here if it wasnt for the trees missing. Lucked out that they were in the neighborhood and received same day service and that for the removal of three trees, about 6 hours of labor. Excellent clean up and attention to detail.
