3rd time I ve had to call to say that they have NOT sprayed all the way back to the fence at my house!!!! I paid in full to sign up for 4 treatments and I m guessing the lazy employees decided not to spray my whole yard like I paid for. It s so apparent that they did not spray like I said. Weeds are thriving in my backyard. It has nothing to do with the heat that we ve had. I have flowerbeds in my yard and I guess they decide they are too lazy to walk around them to spray behind them. This is the third phone call like I said I ve made. The next one is calling my credit card getting my money back canceling the service for good. My brother had warned me about Trugreen after I signed up with them. He said he watched a guy coming to his yard put a sign in the yard, walk around his yard only about 8 to 10 feet with a sprayer and then left. Now this was a couple years ago, but maybe that s what s going on again. It s sad you don t get what you pay for. When I get home, I will add photos

Jerome is a HORRIBLE worker. I complained about his performance and Trugreen let him know I complained and sent him to my property again only to do NOTHING like the 1st time and he approached my husband about the complaint (Truegreen that was very unprofessional on your part). Why he is still employed is beyond my comprehension. He argued with my husband and called him names and that alone let the neighbors know they would NOT be using Trugreen for maintenance on their property. Do not ever send him to my property again.

If you re in the Washington/Canonsburg area, be sure to request Keir J by name. He is the technician that just did my first application and he explained everything in great detail and did a very thorough job on a lawn that is hilly and has a number of hard to reach spaces. Even late in the day, his service was exceptional.

***DO NOT BELIEVE WHAT SALE REP IS SELLING- its a LIE-***** We had our second treatment yesterday. Grass doesn t look any better nor are weeds taken care of. That s not even the point. Per sales rep, each service was $288, first would be half price and the 7th would be free. I was asked if I was interested in additional services available; I declined. I only wanted basic fertilizer/weed killer. Today my credit card provider informed me of a $613 charge by TruGreen! I reached out to TruGreen and I was told technician provided two different treatments. I was never asked if I wanted anything extra, which I would have declined. The technician didn t spend more than 15 minutes spreading the powder treatment! I asked to speak to supervisor which was not done. I canceled with them. Also reported incident to BBB

Can always count on Trugreen to keep my lawn free from weeds and dandelions. The person who usually shows up is always on time when they say they re going to be here, they do a thorough job, and I know that my lawn is going to continue to stay weed free.

Worst customer service by far. We received 5 complimentary treatments for our new build lawn. I had requested service to be locked so I could plant new seed however 5 days later treatment was sprayed and killed my new seed. I attempted 4 times to speak with someone to assist on how to fix my lawn AND to begin new service but never received a follow up. I did receive 1 call back stating new seed would be delivered to me along with an estimate of continued lawn care but that never happened. Will not work with this company or refer them to anyone.

Our poor experience started last year When we requested a free evaluation And they sent out a trainee with no experience. The manager promised to come out, but he never called or followed up. We canceled services last year and this year they showed up unannounced and sprayed our lawn as we were preparing to seed our lawn. The second manager told us we would need to break the surface But denied my request for them to perform the service So now I have to pay for the mistake again

I have been using trugreen for 5 years. There has been a steep decline in quality over the past couple years. I canceled the service after the 2022 season. The supervisor called me back and got me to stay on for 2023. Promised me a bunch of things and did none of them. My grass is lime green for the second year in a row. They promised a soil sample to see whats causing it and never did it. Stay away, very poor quality!

After having a bad experience with my previous Trugreen treatment technician todays application went very well. Conor, todays technician, was courteous, thorough and helpful. I hope all my future treatments from Trugreen will be as excellent as this one. Thank you Conor!

For several years, I had been a loyal customer of TruGreen, but during that time, I experienced a recurring pattern of price increases and a decline in service quality. Despite my complaints about the continuous price hikes, it seems that my feedback led them to cancel my plan instead of addressing the concerns. Now, they are reaching out to win me back as a customer, but with a staggering 100% price increase. I find this treatment disappointing and disrespectful to their customers. As a result, I have decided to take my business elsewhere, where I hope to receive better service and fairer pricing.

Not impressed so far. Have had one try to ghost the service, then when we caught him , he purposely sprayed 5rose bushes , which killed them and have gotten no response from company. The past two technicians came to spot weed when we are being charged for an acre of property. Our lawn doesn t look any better than our neighbors that have never been treated. Waiting to see if we ever get any improvement, if not, will not continue to use.

Called to cancel my services three weeks ago. This week there was a bill on my door for a service that took place. I called to find out why someone had come by at all. It seems that the customer support representative chose not to cancel ALL of my services. I told them that I would not be paying for a service that I did not want. They said that I would not be billed... I was just billed - absolutely ridiculous. Ill be calling first thing Monday morning.

I have been a customer for over 17 years and my lawn has received great care when I have had a lack of green at times with Trudy calls and I highly recommend TrueGreen. I will say they need a better deeper core removal for their aeration tractor. Other than that I highly recommend TrueGreen.

Discussed with a gentleman on the phone on Wednesday August 16th for TWENTY minutes about lawn treatment options and scheduled for what he said would be Tuesday or Wednesday next week. We went over pricing and was told first visit is only $75 and I would not be charged until service was completed and they would call and communicate when they are coming. They turned around and charged my credit card $624.95 over drawing my account then sends a text today (8/28) saying Your TruGreen service previously scheduled for today will not be completed. When your service is rescheduled, we will notify you in advance. When it was never discussed for today and they just texted canceling right after charging me $625. Seems pretty fishy to me! Then when I called to demand a refund and cancel anything they tried to schedule in the future they attempted to say it was my fault for scheduling online which I didn t and they wouldn t cancel at first and was begging me to stay as a customer. Offering me all sorts of discounts!! STAY AWAY !! **UPDATE** 8/19/23 at 830am I received an email stating they had completed a mosquito service on my property. Considering I called and canceled at 850am yesterday and demanded a refund and they still came out without permission or notice and treated my yard for a service that wasn t even the originally communicated service that I wanted and now told my refund isn t until 7-10 days from Monday 8/21 when I was told yesterday 7-10 from yesterday 8/18 A lot of shadiness going on, charging 630 without permission, 2 weeks for a refund, performing a service without permission and after demanding them to cancel, and allowing mine and my neighbors pets to be exposed to chemicals with no knowledge (they said to allow 4-6 hours to dry before allowing dogs to go out in the yard)

We use their lawn service program and their tree and shrub service too! We have used other lawn services over the 35 years but end up going back to TruGreen. The reason primarily is because they spray the lawn for weeds and damaging insects as opposed to the slow release pellet system. We see immediate results with the thickening of the lawn to fill in any bare spots and the best job for killing the weeds.

The worst from top to bottom, they used to be good. Skipping my yard, supposed equipment malfunction , not doing my entire lawn, during aeration and reseeding left a mess and grass growing on my mulched landscape, very poor communication and dishonest. My recommendation is to stay far away from this business. 2 weeks later, grass seed now grass growing in our mulch bed, grubs(which was part of my service-the same thing happened in 2022) and I guess this doesn t count but I had to clean up their aeration mud on my walkway s and driveway after they were done plus sweep up seeds in my driveway, I have pictures/video from my security cam of it all, the best thing they could do was refund 1 year but not fix the numerous issues(documented and spoken to them about) that was caused.

Didnt like the service

HORRIBLE service! From the very first service they have been horrible. The first time they came to my home they did not spray my back yard. I was home, and made sure to confront them before they left. Yesterday on 5/12/22 they posted in the app they are in route to my home. They stopped on the other end of my street to do another lawn, then said they stopped at my home to service my yard. No sign was posted. I have 8 cameras around my home. TrueGreen never showed up. No service was ever performed. They then issued an invoice to be paid! Yes! thats correct! No service, but issue an invoice. This is very unprofessional. After several attempts to contact them, no one will return our call. BEWARE of this company. I live in MONROEVILLE PA. After talking to a co worker this morning. They have had issues also with them. They charged them, and never showed up to do any service. I am now very concerned how many people they are doing this to. Who do not have cameras. AN getting away with it! BEWARE of TRUGREEN!

Technicians keeps spraying bushes and small trees in the garden. I complained about it before but nothing changed. Had a cherry tree, raspberry bushes, grape vine and forsythia killed.

Somehow got my phone number and will not stop calling me. Called me over 15 times within a 5 hour span. Asked to be placed on the do not call list and still receiving calls.

Where is the zero star option? We recently signed up as a new customer for the full package of yearly maintenance. To make a long story short they scheduled numerous treatments in ONE week, I ve spent hours on the phone begging them to stop sending people to my house because our yard can t take anymore treatments. If you have this service please make sure they are completing the services that they charge you!! I was really hoping to find a no hassle service but this was such a disappointment

I have studied lawn care 50yrs, owned lawns from Calif-PA and give TrueGreen a (D-) for my area : (6 Reasons NOT trust TrueGreen!) 1.Overpriced when compared to Kapps, Premium or Fairfield in my area but was able to renegotiate reduced price. Later I observed and compared smaller local companies that treat lawns of the same soil /age on my street and TruGreen Underperforms! 2.April-June, service only sprays on fertilizer/weed control causing lawn to burn through heat of early summer. (Lime was granular) 3.July weather had lower temps and more rain, I had to treat my own lawn with delayed crystal fertilizer and fungus disease control to save from browning to help it rebound. (TruGreen never showed up!). Later discovered they don t apply fungus/disease chemicals unlike other lawn treatment companies when asked. 4.TrueGreen Promised soil sampling by contract (on 3 occasions and special requests) to understand best treatment for my lawn but never delivered! 5.In mid-August TruGreen wanted to continue spraying for weeds/fertilizer when it was apparent, I have no weeds and spraying isn t the right application, also Not Good for 4th driest August on record here I explained. The Servicemen agreed and applied crystal fertilizer but never cleaned off the driveway/walks of excess fertilizer. (Again I did the clean up myself) 6.Call centers dont always return calls and when you finally get an attendant they may be in Latin America or Dallas, speak hard to understand English and kept recommending bug control and chemicals purchases $$ for bushes related to diseases in Texas! I just want expert service for my lawn especially after paying $650.00 for a 6,000Sq Ft lawn! Three other Trugreen lawns in the area lawns look worse than mine and one even full of banana grass! As a 1st and last time customer find TruGreen lacks personalized lawn care, poor attention to detail as im only A NUMBER but they provide great lip service!!! (I should have listened to my greener neighbors)

Don t waste your money

On 8/8/22, I signed a contract with TruGreen and paid upfront with credit card for a total of 9 treatments & aeration . The first service was the aeration and seeding, during which aeration, the riding aerator broke down and is questionable that the full aeration of my lawn was completed. Subsequently, a week later, a service person came and did the fertilization of the lawn. It is unknown to anyone if he also was supposed to also do grub control. The technician spread the fertilizer so heavily at places that he burned my green grass in large areas. A week later another technician came to apply the grub control, although he was not sure if this was applied already. This is the anarchy that exists at TruGreen. No one is in charge of the schedule or what has, or has not been done before. When I called customer service to ask about the next service, the answer is what do you want done? The last technician that came to apply the grub control, also saw the burned grass because of the excessive fertilizer applied and he was in agreement that this is a big mistake while shaking his head. He took several pictures to show back to the office the damage done by the application of excessive fertilizer with the promise that a supervisor/manager was going to call me within the next 48 hours. No such luck. The technician then left without applying the grab control with the promise he will return in 2 weeks to apply the grub control. I am appalled by the fact that as soon as he left, doing nothing, TruGreen notified me and put in my account that the application was completed. What application? After numerous calls, they finally removed the charge, but it was like pulling teeth. Furthermore, I was promised by a previous representative that the day the last technician, I was to receive a phone call from a supervisor/manager between 1-2 PM to discuss my total dissatisfaction with TruGreen. Days later and after another bad review I left at Consumer Affairs, I finally got their attention. I asked for a full refund of my paid price credited back to my credit card because none of the services performed were as contracted but instead, TruGreen close my account and no further services are scheduled. It took numerous calls and hours on the phone before they refunded my account. The aeration was not completed as promised because the equipment broke down and the fertilizer was applied so heavily at spots that it burned my grass. Yet I paid in full for those bad services. At the end, I patched the spots burned by myself. I would also like to know what happened to the pictures the last technician took? Stay away from TruGreen. Its anarchy at its best.

Technicians need to honest about not completing service, My last service was delayed by two weeks. The original appointment was cancelled by the technician for Landscaping Crew on Property. The thing is, I DONT HAVE LANDSCAPING CREWS! .... and the technician said he was at our property. When I saw the alert I went outside. He was not there. They forget that a large number of people still work from home. We know if youre here or not.

Had trugreen do weed control on our lawn. Now our maple tree is infested with bugs to the point where the leaves started turning in July. This tree has been healthy until this year. After contacting trugreen and getting conflicting stories and pricing to spray the tree we are told that they cannot do anything about the tree because of its size. I have talked to 4 different people from trugreen and all 4 gave me a different story. Please be very careful when using this company. Btw none of my neighbors trees have done this because they dont have trugreen.

After stating they performed the job, my cameras showed otherwise. Tru gree is a rip off. They tear up your shrubs ( earlier this spring ), drag their hoses through your landscaping ( earlier this year )and then lie stating they were here. DO NOT USE THEM, IT WILL FRUSTRATE YOU!!!

The representative comes when promised and is very friendly, I am alerted ahead of time, and they are open to my questions and comments. The yard is improving.

I love that I can pay in advance, and TruGreen comes out on a regular basis to treat my lawn. I love that I can call for as many spot treatments as need to, if something needs extra attention. I love that I have a beautiful green lawn, no weeds or dandelions. And I love that my husband no longer has to take the time to treat for weeds and fertilize like he used to. We also started using the mosquito plan a few years ago, and WOW it makes a difference. We can go to a neighbors house and get eaten alive, but in our own yard, we NEVER have to worry about being bitten.

So far so good.

The applicator knows my yard after several treatments and discussed some concerns I had.

Technician was thorough and covered all areas. Friendly and knowledgeable about treatments and flora. Scheduling needs improved. Nine weeks since last service. Perfered technician explained weed control and suggestion between treatments. Pointed out potential problems with shrubs. If I could keep same technician all the time Id be very happy. Lawn has greened up thickened since last year.

Waste of money, extremely disappointed in their services or lack there of. Said they treated the lawn and charged for it when they did not. Numerous calls and emails to customer service with zero response. Not a company that wishes to deliver a good product nor cares about their customers.

I want to put another plug for TruGreen. I recently complained that their tech came out but didnt give us a notice of what he sprayed, and usually they do, so I wasnt sure they even came out. No problem, they came right back out in 2 days and sprayed and left the note I expected. I appreciated just being heard and served without being questioned or objected to. Also, my lawn has never looked greener. Its a such a joy thats really hard to quantify, like the feeling of a cleaned room or a made bed or an organized desk... a great lawn just feels good. Thank you TruGreen for giving us that feeling.

Missed 3 consecutive appointments.

UPDATE: In response to multiple phone calls and/or negative review, we did receive initial analysis, 1st treatment & reseeding. Both technicians were knowledgeable & efficient. It seems that TruGreen staff may be stretched a bit thin (as unfortunately many businesses are at present). We are now on a plan to (hopefully) improve our spotty lawn. Thank you. 1st review: Initial phone salesman was awesome, Customer Service has been horrid. Missed appointments, cant get a schedule, no one knows answers on when we can get initial analysis of lawn. Only thing that happened quickly was $4000+ bill for yearly services that I may/may not need. Very bad form Trugreen, EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED.

Fraudulent sales team practices. Twice this year the sales team has initiated service after I have spoken directly declining their lawn service. Their Lawn care system which I used last year was average. I still had some weed and dandelions throughout my front and back yard. I asked for pelletized products and they only use light spray treatments.

We payed $980 for a year long treatment plan. Our yard still has way more clover, crab grass, other various weeds, and bald spots. We cancelled our service and we will not be using them again.

Took 2 times to get it right but you have to call local office to make sure you got the package you want. The 800 number dont sign you up with the correct package but my specialist took care of it and did a fine job

I don t recommend allowing them to do seeding. I had overseeing done in the fall and have been pulling grass out of my gardens for two months. No attention to placement.

TruGreen keeps my yard looking great and weed free. Communication is good. All is great!

Convenient keeps lawn looking great

TruGreen has done a very nice job of getting our yard back to looking nice. I like the reminder calls and appreciate their reasonable charge.

Keir J was awesome! I met him outside, he was very good with the social distancing. Explained today s treatment and gave me instructions on best time on watering. He was very professional and courteous. I highly recommend him for a fat raise! Oh, and he also aerated the lawn. That wasn t listed on services performed.

Im not sure I like the idea of chemicals on my lawn anymore. They are expensive. Seems to help the weeds though.

Wasnt pleased with the service and requested to be removed from the call list.

Garbage company. I hired them to seed my lawn and after the thinnest seeding job they could possibly do, nothing grew. I called to have the yard reseeded and kept getting the run around I could have done the same job $10. Poor communication. Poor quality of work. A pack of 3 monkeys could do a better job. Edit: a year later they call and ask to give a reseeding for discounted price. I tell them absolutely not. They come anyways and seed my lawn, again terribly seeded and only hit 1/4 of the yard, and they send me a bill anyways. This company is beyond terrible. How are they even in business?

I had a yard oration and overseed of the lawn. I had sections of the yard that no seed grew. I ask for a follow up visit. Appt set from 7-12am.I waited till 2pm, and had to leave for appt. Tech came at 3:30.I wanted to be here to understand the problem. So today I have 4 lawn services I will call for a estimate. TruGreen is without a doubt the WORST company I have ever tried to communicate with.

Service was completed and grass is nice and Thick Green!!! Nice for this application was a little short notice this time only - always like to make sure grass it cut before you arrive. There are still some violets in the yard but not too noticeable. I am starting to see what I refer to as Red threat patches and not sure what needs done there? I know it has rained a lot lately and is making getting grass cut more often an issue for me. Thank You True Green!!!!!

wow googled them entered some information regarding who i am (didnt complete the process though) they called 4 times within 1 hour without leaving voicemail finally answered on 5th call EXTREMELY rude salesman typical sales tactics told them i wasnt interested at this time hung up before i could even say goodbye

I would give zero stars if I could. TruGreen ruined our yard! We went from having a green lawn with a few weeds to a brown lawn with even more weeds and crab grass. Called several times. They were supposed to send someone to evaluate the lawn and never did. I asked to speak with the local manager and two days later I m still waiting for him to call me back. We basically spent over $800 for them to completely ruin our lawn.

My lawn is completely burned out from these people, they state its is because it is the type of grass I have, my lawn was pristine in the spring. They do nothing to correct the problem.

They never show up to treat our lawn! They are always canceling! We have called customer service several times to complain and to speak to a manager. A manager has NEVER called us back. The treatments they have performed have not done anything to help get rid of the weeds. Our lawn does not look any different! Very disappointed!!

TruGreen is really bad. Their people are not told the area to service. They waste your time trying to sell stuff you dont need and dont do what they are paid to do. They lie about everything. This is a very poorly manage company.

Technicians that come to the house are good hardworking people. Weed control can take years to accomplish but I think they do a decent job, as long as your yard isn t Amazonian status. They are stretched pretty thin though regarding their staffing. I had overseeding and lawn aeration postponed several times by them this year so it was done too late (for the weather conditions), where the ground was consistently below 50 degrees. The lawn seed was just wasted likely but maybe it will start to grow in the spring. Who knows. Anyhow, if you have the money and don t feel like spreading chemicals around yourself, they can get the job done for you. It takes a few years of their service to have a decent looking lawn so don t expect serious results in the first year.

Absolutely horrible - two properties - both look horrible one been using for over 4 years and one 2 years. Neighbors yard not sprayed looks just like mine. Dont come when they are supposed to come. Come when its pouring down rain. Cant get a local facility to call back. Have wasted my money for over 4 years.
