Lawn Sense in Pittsburgh

This company did over $700 in damages by backing into my garage door with their truck. Have it on video and they still refused to pay!

The lawn techs are awesome. They do a great job. My lawn has improved a lot. I had a problem with army ants and they fixed the problem immediately. I definitely recommend Lawnsense if you are looking for a great honest company to go your lawn care.

We switched to Lawn Sense at the end of last year after years with another lawn service (Kapps) and we could not be happier. The technician explained everything to us and has been very helpful in solving our weed problem that the other service could not seem to get right after numerous call backs. Lawn Sense is great. Kim calls me ahead of time to let me know they are coming. My technician, Kent, is super personable and efficient. He even uses a manual spreader around the pool instead of the large machine. Any time I ve had additional questions, I email Bob, the manager, who is always super knowledgeable and willing to help. Lawn Sense is great. I ve used them for many years now.

Lawn looks great. They show up, do the treatments and leave me details on what they did and what I need to do to maintain the lawn throughout the seasons. I ve never had sod so they ve been a great help. Would recommend!

Ive used Lawn Sense for a few years now and find them to be an excellent lawn service company. the best in the North Hills of Pittsburgh. They call before they come. Their prices are reasonable. They are very responsive to any additional issues or questions that you may have. I would highly recommend their services over ANY known national chain.

Great crew that is always pleasant & courteous, and have answered my questions about different issues with knowledge & experience, and make great recommendations for the continued good health of our lawn. Switched from a nationally-known franchise to Lawn Sense at the beginning of 2015 and couldnt be happier! Besides the quality of the product being used, and the care with which it is applied, there are two aspects of Lawn Senses service that are especially appreciated: 1) they call at least 24hrs in advance to advise you of the upcoming application, which allows sufficient time to mow lawn or carry out any other steps in preparation for treatment. 2) after treatment, the technician provides detailed notes not only on what was applied, but also subjective and objective observations about current state of lawn, problem areas (if any), suggested corrective actions (if necessary), etc. This is extremely valuable as the customer obtains both a broad overview of the health of their lawn, and a detailed understanding of what is being - and should be - done ongoing. Lastly would just compliment Lawn Sense of their professionalism /and/ their customer-centric attitude. REALLY a pleasure to deal with this company and recommend them to you without reservation!

I use Lawn Sense for their fertilizer and application program. They do a fantastic job and my yard hasnt ever looked this good. Highly recommend paying for the annual maintenance package instead of a la carte. They track everything meticulously and are always there when they say they will be. Very impressed.

Very reliable. Always did lawn applications on schedule and would provide off-schedule treatment if needed (i.e. grubs). Provided details of each treatment, current status of the lawn and any possible problems after each visit. Also, they are friendly folks.

We were told we would be notified prior to any treatments as we have a doggy door and do not want the dogs to be in the yard when they treat the grass (for very obvious reasons). We received 1 notification for the first treatment and nothing again -we spoke with a manager and they said they would handle it personally and would call prior to arrival. Once again they showed up with zero notice. They have left the gate on my fence open so my dogs could run out and have very clearly missed parts of my yard. I pay for pest control and to this point they have not done any grub control and my yard is overrun with them. You get what you pay for in this instance.

I have used this company for my mothers yard. It was THE WORST experience we have ever had. They want everyones money and want to do half the work. There was one guy past out in the company truck outside my moms house instead of completing the job. It seemed like he was on some type of drug. He looked like he was dying. The company name is Lawn Sense but they act like they dont have any sense. Its bad when they have to use their own employees for their customer reviews on here. Never again!

Early last summer my neighbors lawn looked awful, brown and bald spots. I felt sorry for him, because he tries so hard to beat the Jones, LOL. One day, I noticed a Lawn Sense truck in front of his home. By early fall his grass looked gorgeous. Today his grass looks beautiful, like green carpet. I called Lawn Sense for service. I am so excited to have pretty grass like my neighbor. Thanks

Good Service. Will say Ive tried numerous services since we moved and Lawn Sense was the only we have renewed for a 2nd year. They came out promptly when I noticed weeds and applied a spot service for free. Only issue is they performed Aeration and overseeding when weather was still hot and dry. For what that service costs, wouldve preferred a more tailored service.

My lawn looks awesome! I never have to worry about spreading my own fertilizer again, cost about the same as doing it yourself too!

I have used Lawn Sense for several years now and my lawn could not be better. I called them when I first moved in and my lawn was dotted with dandelions, white flowers, purple flowers, etc. Everything was literally gone in 2 weeks. They fertilize it at the correct times throughout the year for basically the same price I would pay to do it myself.

SWITCHED to Lawn Sense 2 years ago. We were with Scotts Lawn for over 10 years. The service got worse. And, so did my yard. SWITCHED to Lawn Sense. The price was about the same as we were paying before with Scotts. But, WOW, my yard looks so much better !!! Our lawn tech Kent is GREAT! Never rushed. Always has a few minutes to listen and go over any questions with you. Tech will call you prior to showing up... If you need to let your dog out before treatment.... Great customer service. Lawn Sense makes all the sense in the world. They use organic materials ...safe for pets. They are always on time, they make lawn observations and recommendations where needed. there services cost not much more that if I did it myself but then again my time is worth something. All in all they are they best and most bang for the buck I have ever found.

However, I can comment on how Professional the Tech was and how Neat and Clean you equipment was kept. This to me shows that a company really cares about their business. Brian, the Tech, introduced himself and shook my hand. I told him we had to leave for a while. He said that was no problem that he would do the work and leave the bill on the door. It looks like the whole yard was taken care of in a neat and professional manner. I will be able to post a better review about the process after we get further into the growing season.

Lawn Sense uses dry fertilizer and they are very dependable on their schedule of applications. I like the advance call I get from Lawn Sense as to when they will be out because I have my lawn cut every Friday and it is important to me when the application is put down. I will stay with Lawn Sense and continue to recommend them to my neighbors and friends.

Began with this company several years ago because we had a small dog and their products are organic and not harmful to pets. We stayed with them because our grass is thick, very green and healthy. If there is a problem, just call and they will solve it in a couple of days. Great people.

Weve had lawn sense at 2 properties now over the last 8 years, and couldnt be happier. We had another company destroy about 1/4 of my lawn while doing some work, and lawn sense credited us part of their work until the new grass came in. Their office staff has always been great to work with, and their technician have listened and responded appropriately to our concerns. I would not hesitate to use this company.

Im very satisfied with the service and price. Overall price of each application is less expensive than if I would apply the treatments. If I have a problem, it is quickly resolved.

We switched to Lawn Sense from Scots/TruGreen and have not looked back. They provide a far superior product to our lawn and ensure all areas of our property are covered. We also added the grub treatment which was a problem in the past. The lawn technicians are always happy to answer and my questions, return for weed breakout problems, and make sure nothing is left around areas for our kids to touch by accident.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Lawn Sense treated my yard for a season and a half and my lawn is practically destroyed. At first I thought they did a good job because I didnt have weeds at the beginning of the season but I would take weeds over this any day. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Lawn Sence has serviced the company were my wife works form many years, probably the lowest bidder?? They have repeatedly had no regaurd for the vehicles that the employees drive. Every time they show up to weed wack they coat every car with grass and dirt with no respect!! I have talked to someone who might be in charge on two occasions,he does not care and thinks a few blade of grass are no Big Deal. This company has no Respect for your property they just want to get paid!! You always get what you pay for. Not BBB registered, go figure...

We were happy with our service until recently. The services renew yearly. We had a service plan in place. Last year I added on a service (thinking it was a one time occurrence). We were quite surprised and unhappy when Lawn Sense performed a fall aeration, early fall liming, and fall overseeing again this year --quite a hefty bill totaling almost $300. Last year we received a telephone call notifying us and confirming the upcoming service. We did not receive a call this year, and if we had, we would have declined this extra service. I called the company and was told they sent out a letter with the services to be performed this year. We did not receive this. We only had the original letter and pricing from our first year. Ashley also told me that Bob would contact me to discuss the issue. We have hear nothing. Needless to say, we will be taking our services elsewhere.
