My lawn used to be as bad as the Biden Administration, polluted with weeds, dead spots, you name it I had it going on. Then one day I called Kapps to see if they could do anything for my lawn they sent out Jake Frick and showed up and cleaned house like Donald Trump. My lawn is the nicest in the neighborhood now. Grass is thick and green without weeds, people ask me all the time what I did and I tell them all to call Jake. He knew exactly what it needed and was very quick and efficient at getting it done. Customer service and lawn service is no longer acceptable. Soil test not returned in over 7 weeks and given excuses for the length of time. Basic weed spraying requires multiple calls even know a tech visits monthly.

Kapps has been caring for my yard for several years. I am on their full year treatment schedule. This year they have also taken care of aeration and overseeding. I have never had less than top rate customer service from them. This includes the office staff when I call and the technicians that service my lawn. They have been more than accommodating when I have scheduling conflicts. On the few occasions that I have weeds which survived a treatment they immediately return after my call to correct it. I have referred friends and neighbors to them who are also satisfied. I would not hesitate to recommend them again.

Kapps lawn service has been servicing our yard for well over 10+ years their staff is amazing and always takes care of leaving our yard in great care. Theyre extremely mindful of our little weenie dogs and always leave the gates closed when theyre done. Great company and great people.

Hi Your employee Tony just left my home at 122 Long Drive, Irwin, PA. I am not always home when they come, but from my experience I have never seen a worker be so particular in their job!! I was so mesmerized, I had to sit and watch him. He even used his hand to sprinkle the treatment where the machine couldn t get close enough! Honestly, this is a rarity in any position today. I was a customer for almost 20 years. Run away from these people. Terrible service all the way around. I would give a negative star if I could.

Kapps did a lawn treatment a few weeks ago. Im not so sure we even signed up for service this year, so I emailed them to ask, never got a response. Heck, I could have moved since last year for all they know! The person who did our lawn only made 2 passes in both the front and back yard, not nearly enough to cover the entire lawn, I could see the wheel tracks in the grass where he went and they werent even close. I think he came up the front through my neighbors yard because theres no other way to get to our front yard, you have to get there from the back, where I first saw him through the window, and he shouldnt have used their yard. There is also a portion of our yard in the front on the other side of the driveway that I dont know if he touched at all. Ill send the payment, but the job better be done a lot better in the next treatments. Ill be watching!

These people leave unsolicited (as in no soliciting signs on my house) on my mailbox, against postal laws. They argue when asked to remove their junk. Reporting to the postal service. Its a week later. Still sitting on my mailbox where they left it. They refuse to remove it and abused me when I called and complained. Poisoning the environment and people, one yard at a time.

This is a terrible company. Their services were not good last year. I requested the company to cancel the service twice (which they are denying) and they continued the service even after I requested for cancellation. Now they want me to pay for the service. They dont have a system to inform you on the date of service. I will make sure my neighbors in the community never fall in this trap.

Kapps keeps my lawn looking great all year long. Very thick grass and no weeds. Their technicians that come service are always professional, move dog toys out of the way in the back yard and are careful while coming in and out of the gates.

Do not use this service. Weed control was not effective and they did a poor job of treating my entire lawn. The technician would make two passes through the yard and didnt reach the edges where treatment was needed the most. Also, they applied their chemicals during the high heat of summer and caused my lawn to burn out much quicker than it normally would have.

We are a new customer this year and Kapps has provided an excellent service spraying and fertilizing our yard. I would highly recommend.

We have been using Kapps for a few years, always responsive to their programs. Even had to have a recall for some work as weeds were visible, they came out no hassle the next day. Professional and products work, would recommend for anyone wanting to keep a nice looking yard.

Service has deteriorated since Covid. Weed control is mediocre at best. Very responsive when I call, but I shouldnt have to complain. Will continue this year but reconsidering next year.

The gentleman that treated the lawn did a very good job knowing where the property boundaries where located. He did a great job hitting the entire lawn. I only wished it was not done on a rainy day. I have dandelions popping up in my yard so it must of washed off some of the weed control.

This is our first year with Kapps after our friend recommended them. We prepaid for 5-8 treatments. In the spring, our lawn looked lovely. However, I have had to call for each subsequent treatment. I was under the impression that they would come regularly without having to call. Now we have grubs in our yard and the weeds are back. Just called for another service call. The lawn is definitely improved but the service is meh. Update: Year 2 with Kapp and our lawn looks amazing. The back was once a field of clover, crabgrass and grubs. It is lush, green and weed free. They come as scheduled. I upgraded Kapp to 5 stars.

My yard is the best its ever been awsome people Douglas l Bower 2501 pearl st natrona heights pa.

They use a large machine and were at my house about two minutes. Unless youre home to watch over, they dont do any areas that arent easily reached by the big machine. My yard looked much better when I did it myself. If your yard is all accessible by their machine, could work out.

This is what my yard looks like after a few years of service . Had many service calls out to spray crab grass and has done nothing! Very disappointed.

My husband and I have been with Kapps Green Lawn for three years. This summer was a nightmare. The new worker spilled too much chemicals on a section of our grass, my husband witnessed him doing it. We reached out to Kapps Green Lawn twice. The first time they wanted us to pay them additional fees, for treatment, they caused. The worker came again, he was very confrontational and mentioned our complaint to his company. He was rude, and not accommodating at all. We will never use Kapps Green Lawn again. Theyre only interested in the money.

We get weed and feed done and foundation sprayed for insects. Very pleased

My yard never looks any better than it is now

We used Kapps for roughly 3 years, first 2 year were great, we even got all our neighbors to use them because they transformed our yard so nicely. This year was terrible, they killed our grass everywhere and half the yard they were to treat was left untreated half the time. Sad to see this company has gone down hill. We canceled and would not recommend and now have to plant new grass. After this review posted they responded for me to reach out which I did through email and still yet to have heard anything.

I hired Kapps this season to provide me with fertilizer and weed, control every 4-6 weeks. They came only TWICE all year, despite my calling them. When I asked for a reason why they didnt provide the service I contracted them for, they didnt have an answer. Not even something like we are short-staffed. They just ignored my question. Furthermore, the two applications that they DID provide were terrible quality. I had to have them come back several times, because they missed killing blatantly visible weeds.

The young man who did our lawn this year is terrific. When asked to give me 5 -10 minutes to finish cutting my grass a few weeks ago, he said it was not a problem and off he went to do the neighbors yard/paperwork. This week he took the extra time to blow off any excess pellets of material from the driveway. Sometimes young people get a bad review but not this time! He is really terrific.

Started with Kapps about 4 yrs. ago. The first couple of years we had Sean T as our Lawn Technician and the lawn looked great. Then for whatever reasons, Sean was migrated and no longer serviced our property. For 2 yrs. the lawn started to look like it was minimally spread, weeds, crabgrass, etc. Recently was going to cancel our service with Kapps, but out of nowhere, Sean arrived and spread our yard. What a difference with the way he does it! Watched his application and not one square foot was missed. Contacted Kapps management and expressed my appreciation for sending Sean. We should have a great looking yard again shortly with a technician that really takes the time to do it right!!

Followed treatment plan last fall (2019) to fill in bare spots. Lime treatment, core aeration and dormant over seeding. Call early spring to ask why no new grass was growing and was told due to bad weather in February it would take a little longer. Called back in June same results no new grass a rep was sent out and he stated my ground was clay and hard thats why it was not growing. No refunds but maybe we could do something in the fall. Should have told me last fall before I spent $ for poor service. Canceled my service. Ask lots of questions if you ever need this service.

I appreciate that Kapps will call the day before to notify me of the pending lawn application. Sal, the technician, is courteous & completes the job. I had an issue with violet clover & Jim made 2 Service Calls at no charge & applied a weed killer which remedied the problem. Professional service.

With the drought this summer i called and asked not to service our yard.....at this time.....unfortunately they did twice because i prepaid.....our yard which was sod in back is half dead and doesnt need treated....just left message not to treat and save my prepaid treatments until next year so our yard can finally improve..... I really believe i should be reimbursed for 2 treatments....

KAPPS have been doing my lawn for about 4 years now , its the greenest and weed free that it has ever been . Only had 1 issue and it was taken care of promptly. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THERE SERVICE.

I have this lawns service for a good many years 10+. Over the last few years the service has gone down hill drastically. I basically received every service that was offered and last year was the worse ever. My lawn is a total disaster and infested with moles. I have had Kapps out several time with this concern and they told me that they have treated it for grubs, but yet I still have grubs. As of today I have cancelled my service with Kapps and will let my neighbors (and there are quite a few of them) who have the service know of the issue.

I started using Kapps last spring when I did a weed and feed treatment myself and ended up with way more weed than feed! After the first treatment I could see a significant change from weeds to green grass on that side of my yard. Naturally after such a great return for my buck I signed up for another year and was happy to see the Kapps truck in front of my house as soon as the weather started breaking this year! Looking forward to having the greenest hard in my neighborhood this year.

I recently switched over to Kapps after being a loyal TruGreen customer for 4 yrs. They were constantly trying to sell me on services and the rate kept going up. Since I switched to Kapps my bill is significantly lower, my yard has never looked better and my service man is honest and straight forward.

Its literally a night and day difference. Since I had never treated my lawn before, I didnt know what to expect, but the Kapps team was very professional and answered all of my questions throughout the process. I couldnt be happier with Kapps.

After 3 treatments my mothers lawn looked the same if not worse. She refused to pay and was sent to a collections agency after asking someone to come evaluate the lawn. The young man who came the last time told her he didn t know the side was HER yard (???) and also told her that he would take care of the bald patches and seed (even though that wasn t included). He didn t. At this point, a year later, it s her word against theirs and we had to pay and Kapps isn t willing to do ANYTHING to make the situation better. I even have dated photos they saw to prove after 3 treatments the grass is brown and dry and awful. I would not suggest this place and after research I ve found many many negative reviews.

Thanks to Kapps, I no longer have a weed infested lawn. Great service, online payment portal, and professionals that know what they are doing, I recommend giving them a try.

I switched over to Kapps service this year after they were highly recommended by family. My yard looks amazing! Also, very professional and polite team members.

It s hard to describe how disappointed I am with this service. When they started treating the lawn I had a dandelion problem, after 2 months of service I have all kinds of weeds taking over the lawn. When I contracted for service they told me that if weeds reappeared to call and they would take care of it. I called to ask that they retreat the lawn for weeds (on a Thursday) and they explained that my regular service was scheduled for Monday or Tuesday, when no one came on Tuesday they explained that I was not going to get service until some time in the next week, she couldn t even tell me when...except that someone would call me the day before. There may be some improvement in the lawn .... but the weeds have gone mad ... and that s the reason I hired them.

Never had a lawn Service that preformed so badly. I still have a lawn of weeds, Beatles, and burned out areas, after 2 years of service.

Poor customer service.

Was thinking about hiring him to do my lawn, then I saw how their drivers drive in public. Running stop signs and residential neighborhoods? Texting and Acting aggressively one beep that because they re swerving out of their lane? My guess is that s a reflection of the service they provide

I started using their service because of a neighborhood yard who used their service and their yard looked good. After 2 years of service my yard did not look any better. Then our yard started getting brown patches. We thatched our front yard and the brown patches came up like a carpet. We found that we had grubs. Kapps had just treated our lawn a couple days earlier. I called them and told them we had grubs and asked why their worker did not notice the problem. They are our service provider and we had to tell them we had grubs. Cancelled our service, not a company that I want maintaining my lawn. We now have the worst lawn in the neighborhood.

Very disappointed with the service, their representatives are also not good and not polite. Had issues with my lawn, I called them and they are not even letting me finished my concerns. they took no responsibility of what they are doing. this was my second year with them and I am not happy.

Used their service for 15 years. This past year will be our last. Unanswered emails and phone calls. Bills for services not performed (bill in the door and tracks in the neighbors yards but not ours). Our yard is full of large weeds strangling the grass. I don t know what changed, but unfortunately this is not the same company we repeatedly recommended to our friends and neighbors over the years.

I was disappointed with the amount of weeds that were in the yard last year. So this year I brought in another service. Kapps showed up today and sprayed our lawn as they claim we have a year to year understanding. They claimed that we will have to pay for this unsolicited lawn treatment, even though my lawn was sprayed 3 days ago.... I wonder what damage they may have done to my lawn?

My first call to set up the service was pretty easy and the person I spoke with seemed knowledgeable -- problem is that I mistook him for being a lawn tech and the company as being a small local company (which Im sure they probably were at one time) and in reality, the folks that answer the phone are just sales reps... you never see them or meet them in person. They sell you a service package -- period. I was told one thing by the salesman and then you get differing information later. I called in due to my concern that the weeds were not dying and I also added spraying for spiders/bugs around perimeter of home (which I was led to believe was the yard, as well, but it wasnt and thats another $50-$60 per treatment) and the treatment did not appear to be helping. I advised that I wanted to meet with the manager in person so that I could make sure we are on the same page moving forward -- I was told Id hear back from the manager within a few days... never heard from manager. Followed up with another email to the sales rep who told me Id get a call from the manager... no response... still have yet to get a call and that was probably 6 weeks ago at this point. After the follow up email advising that I still had not been contacted, I found a treatment slip left behind that he/route manager(?) wrote notes all over for me --- but never a phone call. He could have called me 5 times in the amount of time it took to write the novel on the treatment slip. But thats 2018 for you -- no one wants to communicate. Get the sale and then disappear. Ill be sure to pay my balance in full as soon as I get that call.

Just called Kapps due to multiple different kinds of weeds in my yard. This has been a problem all summer but definitely worse now. Its as if they are spraying water instead of weed killer. I have been using Kapps for approx 10 years but will never hire them again.

Called two ago about the amount of weeds in our yard. It looks like it has never been treated. They have not returned to retreat or returned my phone call. I m calling today to cancel my service.

I have a small backyard. I would estimate the size of about 8 parking spots. Charged $170 for aeration service. I walked the lawn after service and could count maybe about 10-20 plugs pulled from the ground. Probably the most expensive and low yield aeration service I have ever paid for. I Cancelled all services with Kapps since this is not the first issue with them this season (service to wrong yard, nickel and dime services for add-ons). Their response to my concerns when I expressed my discontent was very defensive and unapologetic. If I can t trust them to do the job right the first time on something that I typically can t visually see if they did it right (fertilizing, weed control, pest control), then why would I keep paying? Their response to our concerns were that we should have called. I get that with the aeration I could see there was a problem. My concern is that with the rest of their work I can t see if they did a good job or not. I don t even know if they missed more sessions since I would have no way of knowing. I hired someone to do this because admittedly I m not interested in doing it myself. But I m not paying Kapps so that I have to babysit their service.

Look in another direction. In my first summer their product did kill weeds but didnt improve the lawn. Come fall, my lawn was littered with weeds. Ive called to remedy multiple times and now they refuse to even return my phone calls. Several in my neighborhood have cancelled their service.

I have nothing but good things to say about my experience with Kapps!! They have been treating my lawn for 5 years now. From Management to their customer service theyve always been professional and an incredible resource. I looked at some the of the other reviews and disagree with whats being said. There are too many variables that must be factored into the maintenance and success of a lawn aside from just fertilizing. If lawn maintenance were as easy as putting down fertilizer, every one would have an amazing lawn. I use Kapps because I dont have all this knowledge and must rely on the professionals. Thanks for all the time spent this year to make my lawn beautiful! Ive have multiple neighbors comment on my lawn and ask me what Ive done. Keep up the good work!

I usually dont write reviews but today I saw another Kapps truck on the road and I felt the anger I did 6 years ago. We hired Kapps for my grandparents house. My grandparents were elderly, my pap was developing alzheimers and we didnt want him to do the yard work anymore. My brother would cut the grass and Kapps would be in charge of the weeds. Kapps was great at first. Later on, we then would stop over midweek and the yard looked horrible. We called Kapps and they claimed they were out to do the yard and my pap even said hi to them. After a month of seeing the weeds grow, my mom decided to leave me at my grandparents house before Kapps came to do the yard. That day, Kapps did not show up. The next day, my mom called to see when they would be out to take care of the yard and thats when they said once again, we were already out, Ron even said hi to us Right then and there we caught them in a lie. They were using my paps condition to skip out of doing work while still collecting the money. If i could I would give them negative stars but I know there is a special place in hell for that ass hole!

I have had Kapps for years to treat the grass for dandelions. I called them a couple years ago to tell them I still have some in my front yard. They said they cant get rid of all them. Now, today, my yard is loaded with dandelions and its been treated. I called them and am awaiting an answer. I will be switching companies. Disappointed!

My lawn is always green and beautiful. If I ever get any weeds, I call and Kapps comes right out and handles the situation!

My lawn looks outstanding, ever since I got kapps to do our lawn its been very green and weed free. Our technician Mike has been very kind and friendly and has done a OUTSTANDING job!!!! We also get our home sprayed with there foundation insecticide and since then we have had no problems with insects in our home. I recommend kapps green lawn for a way to achieve a beautiful lawn.

My first year with Kapps and to this point I am impressed with the improvement of my lawn. The gentleman who was doing my lawn during my last application was all over my lawn lawn and when I told him that I really liked the results to this point he said Thank You for the business. So far totally satisified. I am in a totally different business and after reading some of there poor ratings I wonder if they are from nut jobs or from there competitors? I paid for my lawn care up front to get the discount and to see if the quality of the work lowered after they had there money. (A test of there company). After my experience so far a very good company. If you are looking for a lawn care service I would recommend Kapps.
