Stockman Lawnscape came in and helped us handle a devastating situation. We hired 4 Leaf landscaping to construct a driveway in our yard. 4 Leaf left us with our land carved up and no retaining wall for months. Tyler from Stockman Lawnscape came in, evaluated the situation, and helped us solve the issue. In less than a month, we were parking in our new driveway, surrounded by a new retaining wall. Stockman was professional, efficient, and understanding of our situation. Could not be more thankful of Stockman Lawnscape.

If I could give zero stars I would. To start, this company has people in it that lack care for anything, and they leave trash and do the bare minimum. As a former employee, I understand better than anyone they are a mess of a company where managers come and go, they cant keep employees for anything. All this company cares about are reviews and money, they neglect equipment, blame it on employees, and flat out treat their employees badly. The only people that seem to be happy working there are the managers. Good luck to you if you decide to go with them!

I have had wonderful service from a particular employee named Brandon Garris.. he is a very caring person he ..stops to personally say hello to me which is so very nice.. and as far as the service the company provides is wonderful, they take their time and do it right Im very pleased with this company.. I personally give them five stars

We highly recommend this company. They trimmed a huge oak tree in our front yard that had been neglected for years. We have been living here for a couple of years now and been wanting to have it trimmed. They are very knowledgeable, hard working, reliable professionals. They exceeded our expectations and reasonable with pricing.

Tyler and his team made this project a pleasure from start to finish. From what started as a desire to get a fix for a sagging retaining wall, turned into a real beautification of our entire driveway entrance that our entire family absolutely loves! Tylers great suggestions and the detail that he went into with us definitely made him stand out from the other companies that we received quotes from--and his team was great to work with--we especially loved Shrek and Carey! We will definitely have them back for more projects now that we see what a showcase the outside of our home can be!

Billy did a great job at our property. From the sales team to the final result was a great experience. If you are looking for a Landscaping company look no further. I had to redo this review 3 times for some reason. But thats how satisfied we were.

I just had my front yard landscaped by Stockman. It hasnt been touched in 40 years. They removed bushes and grass that was there, and replaced with healthier and low maintenance alternatives. From the first meeting with Dan, through the crew showing up and doing the work, it was the best experience Ive ever had hiring a contractor. We were able to work well together, making any changes that seemed appropriate. The finished product is gorgeous. And neighbors keep stopping by to complement the work. I will be hiring Stockman again in the spring for another project, and cant wait to share ideas! I highly recommend Stockman landscaping for any project, large or small. The work was pristine and so was the clean up at the end! Thank you guys, for doing such an amazing job!!!

Our experience with Stockman has been great from the beginning. Starting with Tyler who helped us scope the project, ensured we were happy and understood work to be done and he helped us every step of the way with great communication! Incredible! We got a quote for resetting our yard to zero on Wednesday, and by Tuesday the following week they were done! Tyler, Cary and Randy were all professional, efficient, and a pleasure to work with! Highly recommended for their great work!

Our front garden is a steep hill and weve wanted a small retaining wall down by the sidewalk for years. We had Dan come take a look/discuss and we had a crew out to work on it in less than a month (the last time we had a wall done, from another company, in our back yard, we were on a waitlist for 6+ months). Dan, Shrek, Joe & Hot Sauce were THE BEST. We had to make some adjustments due to location of utilities, and it was no issue. On their suggestion, we decided to make the wall one course of block taller and they mocked it up for us, so we could see it first. I would HAPPILY work with them again. They were thorough, communicated throughout the day, and cleaned up well afterward (even though it was 90+ degrees every day they were here). Couldnt be more pleased!

Excellent company. John was the foreman we initially dealt with, he showed up promptly for the initial estimate. Out of 5 companies we spoke to he was the ONLY one to show up in person, the other companies tried to give an estimate using Google Street view or simply never showed. John worked with us on budget, didnt try to push to add services we didnt want or need. The two young men who came to do the work, Ky(sp?) and Evan were fantastic. They are hard workers and were very respectful of my elderly friends property as well as patient and polite. Ten out of ten would recommend to anyone in need of landscaping services!

We hired Stockman to build three retaining walls on our property. They were extremely responsive even after it took us a whole year to decide if we were going to do the work. The price was right, the staff was amazing. They did the job well and were attentive to our goals and some changes we asked them to make. We will definitely use them again!

After going through 4 other landscapers, Stockman followed through, was prompt with a quote, and prompt with scheduling and finishing our retaining wall. They were communicative the whole way. And it was just in time for our Memorial Day gathering. The wall looks great! We are very happy with the work and will use them again for our other landscaping plans in the future.

Tyler promptly contacted us when we asked about having our patio cleaned with new grout and sealer. The crew was very professional and made certain that we were pleased with the finished product. Turned out beautifully.

We needed some basic softscape done. We have a garden area that was overgrown and needed cleaned out along with some small trees that were growing close to the house that we wanted removed. Stockman Lawnscape was the only one who provided an estimate for the work so we decided to go with them. Christopher who was our contact person got us scheduled and they showed up to start work. The men who were on the job worked hard because it was all manual labor including hauling the debris from the garden area and the top soil compost back to the garden area which was about 35 x 35. They were unable to complete the tree removal that day, however Christopher made it right by coming out on a Saturday to finish the job. I am having Christopher give me an estimate on a fence to go around the garden area. Based on our experience, I would recommend Stockman Lawnscape.

A little later than I wanted. Stockman came to my mothers housing development to mulch it and did a wonderful job. Bill even did more than he was supposed to when she asked. Awesome company.

Called to have them come out and look at a job. Tear down existing brick retaining wall and install new versaloc wall. Also make recommendations for planting on the side of the house. The person that called asked questions and came up with a ballpark figure without seeing the project for wall only. His price was twice the price offered by 3 other companies. I wouldnt recommend them for anything. To lazy to come out and look at the job

I had a great experience working with Stockman for some maintenance care for my paver patio. Tyler was very helpful throughout the process - always available and responsive. We were able to schedule the work quickly. The team completing the work did a nice job over the course of two days with no issues. The end product looks great, weve already received multiple compliments from friends and family. I would definitely trust Stockman with my future landscaping needs.

I needed two retaining walls replaced. I called two landscapers and had to leave a message. I Googled it and Stockman Lawnscape came up. I was pleasantly surprised when someone answered the phone. Tyler came to look at the project. He even brought samples of the block. Very professional! I love my retaining walls! They are beautiful! The project was timely and professional. After having multiple companies ignore me or show up and never provide a quote Nate Stockman responded and came out the same day with a quote within 24 hours. The crew had my place in shape by the end of the following week. Everything looks amazing. I will definitely be using them again.

We met Tyler at the home show and he came out twice as we tried to decide what to do to give ourselves more out door living space. Once we figured that out we had a great steady 2 man crew. Michael and Randy are amazing. They did the work, polite and kept us in the look. They entertained all our questions and the whole team was available anytime we needed anything. They were able to tie our drain spot to an existing french drain to improve efficiency I didn t even know was missing. We also did a last minute add for lights and I m so glad we did as it looks amazing. I would absolutely recommend and would use them again.

I needed to replace my crumbling retaining wall and adjacent concrete steps. Stockmans estimate wasnt the lowest, but Tyler was clearly the best of everyone I talked to. I wanted this to be the only retaining wall work I ever have to pay for and felt confident that Stockman offered that kind of quality. Tyler was prompt, professional, and answered every one of my questions before we moved ahead. He worked with Grace Concrete Design & Construction, who poured the steps--another stellar crew. This was done in fall of 22 (sorry for the late review!), when Tyler had an opening in his schedule. Everything moved very quickly but professionally. In the end, both the wall and the steps were completed on time, at the quoted price. And its all just beautiful! Highly recommend giving this company, and its friendly, fastidious crew--Shrek, Randy, Michael and Cary--a chance.

We met Tyler from Stockman Lawnscape at this year s Home Show. He scheduled and met with us within a week. We wanted a new patio with a seating wall and fire pit in which they exceeded every expectation and more! We love it! The whole process, start to finish, was very smooth and customer focused. Kevin was a fantastic project manager and would visit daily to check on the guys. Tyler and Kevin were in constant communication every step of the way, answering any questions we would have or addressing any concerns that would arise. We made a few changes and they were great about adjusting the design. The whole team was very respectful, hardworking and extremely efficient. We can t wait to hire Stockmans for our next outdoor project!

One of their drivers pulled out in front of me while I was going 40, requiring me to slam on the brakes and leave the lane to the shoulder of the road to avoid their truck. It was very bizarre as the gentleman was looking at me the entire time Im traveling towards him, then within 150 feet he starts inching up, and then within 100 ft he just meanders out in front of me. Leaving 2 stars instead of 1 because the receptionist said she would try to have the behavior addressed. Happened at 4:40 ish Monday may 2 on Warrendale road, the truck was making a left turn out of the parking lot that houses sir pizza and rock and Joe, among a few other businesses. I would try to get your staff on board with the fact that your company name is on their truck and they shouldnt be driving like they are trying to kill someone unless they want it reported :/

Buyer beware. I would not recommend Stockman Lawnscape. Ive had an awful experience. Back in December they constructed a two tiered stone wall for me in my backyard. They finished in the spring and the wall is now crumbling - literally breaking apart. Initially they were responsive and said they would make it right but they have not delivered on that promise. They now have stopped returning my calls. I am out tens of thousands of dollars. They also damaged my brand new deck and have not returned to fix it. I have no choice but to bring them to court to try to get some of my money back so I can have this fixed. So disheartening. Ive never once posted a negative review about a business. I wish they were the professional company that the 5 star reviews on here say they were. No one needs this headache...why cant companies just do the right thing? The owners response below is an outright lie. Their sales person Sam recommended we use stone taken from the property/hill to build the wall. I never insisted. I did what was recommended. I even questioned whether it was strong enough. I was told yes. I trusted their expert opinion. They left my deck damaged, loose stones on my steps, my side lawn all torn up and stains on my new driveway. Tens of thousands of dollars were invested in this project.

Great job! We had some planting beds that had taken a beating over the years and Stockmans came to the rescue. With some new plants and many truckloads of stone to fill the beds and enhance the look of the property, it is a vast improvement! We (and the neighbors) are thrilled! The guys worked hard during some very hot days and we appreciate the care they took to make everything look so good.

We just finished a big landscaping project with Stockman, which involved scraping our large front hillside down to the dirt, installing a new french drain, and then laying sod in the entire front yard. It turned out beautifully! The Stockman crew - mainly Alex and Mickey - who worked here every day for over a week were fantastic. The work site was cleaned up every day, and they put in long hours for us. Shane Mason, our representative, was incredibly responsive, working with us every step of the way and visiting the job site multiple times every day. Even after the job was finished he has stayed in touch, checking on how the grass is doing and making recommendations for helping it along in this hot summer weather. Highly recommend them for a sod project like this!

We are grateful we had Stockman handle our huge project: a 75-foot retaining wall more than six feet high at its highest point that holds up our entire yard on a busy street corner. Their bidding was competitive, and they shepherded us through literally months of permitting and surveying bureaucracy and gave us a final product that looks amazing. We were kept informed every step of the way, the managers and work crews were good-natured and knowledgeable, and the little hiccups that come with projects on this scale were handled quickly and efficiently. Ive already recommended them to a neighbor who was impressed with their work.

We first met Stockman at the Pgh Home & Garden show as we were looking to replace a crumbling retaining wall that was improperly built by the prior homeowner. We also were looking to do some regrading of our lot. Tyler was the first to speak with us at the show and he was very attentive to what we explained and gave us some ideas to consider along with some very helpful reading material. When the time came to solicit bids for the work not only did Tyler remember us but he was the first to make a site visit and subsequently the first to submit a bid. We chose Stockman because we were very impressed with their knowledge (we also dealt extensively with their engineer, Scott), professionalism, and their commitment to the timeliness of the work. They also had the best price! In the end we couldnt have been more happy with the work performed--mostly by Jeff and John--despite some unforeseen issues they encountered (e.g., an unexpected broken drain pipe which they replaced and just included as part of the project) and working around near daily rain. They also removed three large bushes for us upon quick request. Just a few days after the job was complete we got a torrential rain storm that did significant damage to the newly-seeded and mulched landscaping. Although the job was technically complete I contacted Tyler and explained what happened. Stockman came back twice and executed repairs to all of the damaged landscaping. Total class act on their part! We have received many compliments on the wall--a two-tiered retaining wall built with Versa Lok block and installed downlighting. Bottom line, we highly recommend Stockman Landscaping. And they were always very easy to reach and quick to respond to our questions and concerns.

Tyler and his team (Kevin and Shrek) helped us with a rather involved project including deck demolition and rebuild (helped us find someone to do this) and navigating terrible permit process with Whitehall Borough, all to construct a beautiful patio and fire pit. They were very flexible, working around our different work schedules to make time to meet with us.Would 100% recommend them for any project, we will have them return for future landscape projects as soon as weve paid for this one!!

They were able to come in on relatively short notice, and tear out a bunch of old stumps/weeds/various debris out of our beds, and prepped the beds for next year. They even help straighten the light post that wasnt secured down by the previous owners.

Stockman Lawnscape did an excellent job on rebuilding a 150 foot natural stone wall. The work was completed in a timely manner by a professional team. Pre-sales, scoping, and execution were all handled very well.

I don t understand why someone would come To you house to give you an estimate and never Get back to you. Austin was to email me an estimate in 4 days. That was two weeks ago and no email. all you did was waste my time. Very unprofessional.

We were so happy to find Stockman for our porch project! Another company just offered a cement block as an option but Stockman actually created a digital design with awesome curb appeal! All our neighbors are loving it too!!! Very responsive to what we asked and even followed up with tips on other projects.

This is the second project Stockmans Lawnscape has done for us, and we are just as pleased this time as last. We needed a large, circular stone planter that used to house an oak tree and adjoining steps that were deteriorating replaced. Austin came and surveyed the work to be done and we had a written estimate within 5 days. We signed the contract on Tuesday and the work started on Thursday. Our crew this time was Randy and Seus and those men really worked. They seemed to never stop for anything. But took time to explain anything and everything. Stockman Lawnscape treated my house like it was theirs and took a lot of care to ensure everything was done correctly and beautifully. They installed a retaining wall and leveled a sagging walkway, and it looks the best it has ever looked. Their team was extremely friendly, explained things to me every step of the way, and were very tidy and clean. Id recommend Stockman to anyone who needed any work done -- theyre going to be our new go-to landscaping company.

My wife and I hired Stockman beginning in May 2021 to put in two retaining walls, steppers around to the back of the house, and general landscaping (shrubs and mulch beds... our house had no landscaping when we bought it). We cannot recommend Stockman enough. They were incredibly responsive to just about all of our concerns (Austin and Tyler in particular were super informative and very easy to work with). They were especially experienced at dealing with local governments and permits/regulations, which turned out to come in very handy at various points during our project. All in all, my wife and I are incredibly satisfied with the quality of work. Several times they would ask us for our opinion on something mid-work, and we were easily able to customize our end product in the middle of the project. Everyone was very friendly and professional as well. If you have any serious hardscaping project, you should definitely consider Stockman. The amount of work that we ended up getting done was a bit overwhelming at first, but Stockman definitely made it seem easy. They were definitely worth every penny.

After seeing the Stockman Lawnscape team doing work on a neighbors home, I asked to speak to someone about an estimate. I was referred to Austin who quite simply could not have been more responsive and accommodating. He. Is. Awesome! He promptly returned my call (a rarity these days!) and set up a time for an in-person estimate. He took the time to listen to my ideas and brought his own creativity to the project. As promised, he followed up with an estimate a few days later and even worked with me on a few modifications to the plan to bring it in at my desired budget. He was able to schedule installation the very next day! Joe and Mickey were hard at work first thing and Austin stopped by to check on the progress during the day. The end project turned out great and really improved the curb appeal of my home. I wouldnt hesitate to use Austin and his team again or recommend Stockman Lawnscape to anyone looking to beautify their outdoor space.

Lawn revitalization. Long process and going OK so far.

No consistency, and incomplete work, although I had an appointment to discuss what needed done, how often and set an agreement to have completed every other week. I have since cancelled my service because the crew indicated they mowed on days they didnt, never came out on days they said they would and even came out after I cancelled the services. And despite leaving two messages about cancelling, I have never received any call back. I would not recommend.

We are very happy with the paver sidewalk that Stockman Lawnscape put in for us. The job was very well done, and we thought that the price was fair. Everyone of the crew members were very courteous, professional, and worked very hard to make sure we were pleased with the job. After talking with multiple hardscaping companies to completely strip and refinish our paver driver we decided to go with Stockmans. They held true to the timetable for starting and completing the work. And most importantly, their crew used great attention to detail during the project. They worked on each individual paver and the driveway was restored to its original look. The owner stopped out a couple times to check on the progress. We are extremely pleased with the end results.

I had a huge willow tree removed from my back yard which left damage to the ground (tire ruts, damage from big limbs falling down, etc.). After calling between 15-20 landscapers to come for an estimate to repair this portion of my property, only two responded. The other person was immediately eliminated from getting the job because I caught on early that I was being taken for. Dina from Stockman quickly responded to my telephone call and was out here the following day. I told her about my experience about calling many places without a response whatsoever. She was committed that the job would be carried through if I chose Stockman. Because of this commitment, I decided to go with Stockman (what other choice did I have?!). Overall Im happy with the job, except for a couple of small issues. 1. When Dina came for the estimate, severe high temperatures were expected the following week and I would have to be on the schedule for the following when temps return to normal. Of course I was OK with this. Well, the following week came and went I hadnt heard from them when they were coming. I called Dina and said I was on the schedule for Wednesday she believed. 2. The contract I signed stated that payment is due immediately upon completion of the job. I tried to pay the workers once they were done, but they declined and said that I would here from the office. Several days went by and no communication from the office. I had to contact Dina asking her how do I pay? She then notified an office worker to send my an invoice via email so I can pay online. After the fact, I felt that I shouldve been informed of what to expect and how business (payment) was done beforehand. 3. After the workers completed their work, they did ask me to come and look at their work. I did say that they did a great job (which still stands true). They left, and it wasnt until the following morning that I noticed a small area that was untouched. Fortunately, its small enough for me to do myself (I have health issues that limit my mobility somewhat). I chose not to say anything as I did respond to the workers that Im happy. I feel that its on me. 4. I know this is picayune, but its definitely one of those things that the principle of the matter is what matters the most. On the original estimate I received from Dina which I signed, it said a price of $612. But, when I finally received the bill to pay online, I was billed $613. Obviously a dollar isnt going to make or break me, but its pure principle that is a tiny issue with me. Would I use Stockman again in the future? Yes. But, at the same time, I hope that the workforce situation recovers as I would like to compare against other landscapers. Im not sure if I got the best deal I couldve. Im not sure if I got the most experienced and trained people to do the work. Nothing to compare with.

I had Stockman replace a retaining wall between my house and my neighbors house. Austin was very professional and courteous. He answered my inquiry quickly, came out for an estimate, and even though I wasnt able to commit immediately to the project he followed up with me and was very patient with my questions and allowed me to take my time with a decision. When I was finally able to commit, he came back out to finalize all the details and set up a time frame to begin the work. When he left the company, Tyler took over handling my project and was every bit as courteous and professional as Austin, ensuring me that all the details had been explained to him. Scott and Josmar arrived on time and began demolition of the wall. They were a great team and worked very well together. Their attention to detail was spectacular, making sure that even the smallest details were corrected and perfected. They were punctual and always made sure that my outdoor space was cleared and clean before leaving for the day. I definitely recommend Stockman to anyone in need of a new retaining wall or replacement. I intend to use their services for some landscaping I want done and feel confident that they will offer the same quality and perfection for that work as well. Its very gratifying to see this excellent level of quality and dedication still exists and I am very grateful to Austin, Tyler, Scott, and Josmar for providing me with such consideration and care. We had Stockman redo our landscaping wall. They did a beautiful job! They gave us a great price showed up on time and completed it in a day and a half. They left the area immaculate when they were done. I would highly recommend them.

Stockman Lawnscape did an amazing Job on our project. We hired Stockman when we were referred by our neighbors to do an in-depth project consisting of managing a complex drainage problem and putting in a wall to extend our backyard. Tyler was our main point of contact through out the project and he was absolutely incredible to work with. Over the course of the project he came out at least half a dozen times to make sure everything was going as planned. On top of that he called frequently or answered our calls anytime there were updates, modifications to the project, or questions we had. Tyler was able to work with us on our budget to give us exactly what we were looking for. He was courteous, kind, and was able to make suggestions along the way. During the course of the project there were many road blocks that were uncovered including an underground spring and the need to Jack hammer into the hill to further extend the wall. Tyler was not thrown off by any of this and was able to come up with a game plan each time quickly so that the project was not delayed. All of this while he was working on several other projects for other customers. Tyler thanks for everything you did for us. The main guys working on the project itself were Scott and kevin. They were awesome and total work horses. They were both very smart and strategic when it came to executing solutions for the drainage issue and building the wall. The quality of there work is unbelievable. Overall I could not be more pleased with the outcome of the project. Our backyard is no longer a swamp and we have useable space come spring time. Additionally from a customer service standpoint stockman and in particular Tyler was great to work with. I would highly recommend Stockman for any hard cape or landscaping projects.

Before placing a deposit for the work, everything that needed to be done and the options available to me were made very clear. The work was scheduled within a couple weeks and was completed just as quick. I would recommend them to anyone in the city that needs a retaining wall put up.

Great company to deal with. We got the best price around. Started the job right away and did not have to wait. Had Dave the owner on our job and he his a great guy. They worked tireless for four days removing and installing new walls on both sides of the driveway. Dina was very knowledgeable and helpful. Would have no problem using them again.

We had a deteriorating retaining wall, which was allowing water to flood our patio and go under our basement door. When Austin Keay came to bid the job a couple days after I called, we were in the middle of a downpour. We stood in my backyard for half an hour while he surveyed the problem and formulated a plan. I had the bid in writing within 5 days. The work started 3 days later. The work crew was excellent, used to working together, and answered any and all questions I had. In 5 days I had a beautiful retaining wall, French drains installed and new topsoil and grass planted. Dave Stockman came the next Monday to complete a little unexpected change I requested and finished the job. All at a price that didn t break the bank. Wonderful people and an excellent company. P.S. I waited until we had a downpour to write this review. Happy to report, the water problem is solved and grass is growing well too.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. They promised twice to come out and give me an estimate. Never showed up and never contacted me. No apologies or reason why.

They installed a patio for me in the fall. Came out great, looking forward to the spring so we can enjoy it. They were great from our first meeting to the final walkthrough. Dina and Dave were very professional and nice. Highly recommend them.

I live at linden brooke apartments and your company is a disgrace to landscapers. What a JOKE

I made an appointment to meet with Dana at 11:00. She ever showed up, never called, and never returned my call that I made asking why she was late. 45 minute round-trip drive to meet her there, + 40 minutes of my life wasted waiting around for her. Obviously unreliable, and I would not trust them to do anything for me.

We hired Stockman to replace a retaining wall at our house. Dina was awesome and helped us create a space that is functional and also looks great. She took the time to explain things and listen to what we wanted. The guys did a great job, were courteous, and they left things neat and tidy. Everything about the process was professional. We had a Versa-Lok retaining wall installed on very steep terrain. The crew that built the wall was absolutely amazing. This was an extremely difficult job, but they handled it like professionals. Every member of the crew put a smile on their face and tackled the job. We highly recommend Stockman Lawnscape!
