BEWARE! Extremely disappointed with Goodman s. Always beware of a company with the best equipment, they have NO clue what they re doing. Spent $20k for new landscape and they didn t run water to any new plants and requested more money to get water. Flip homes, this is the worse experience I ve ever had in 15 years.

Heres what I liked about their work ethics: the whole process, from new irrigation system to plant installation was extremely organized. We knew the work schedule for each day, and check this out: the guys showed up on time each and every day and worked their butts off. Thank you, Joe, Matt and the rest of the guys. We also had front and back patio paving done and are extremely pleased with the work. Thank you! Bill, the arborist, came to check the back plants and had his team prune trees, cut bushes and put down mulch. Beautiful yard! Thanks all! I m so glad I was referred this company. I started with regular landscape maintenance and then wanted to some tree work and fire abatement. The men working are quite simply the best at what they do. They love landscaping and it shows. The attention to detail and respect made me appreciate my landscaping and trees more. I contacted Goodmans after seeing their work truck on the road and knowing I needed some lighting help. What was needed was a pain in the rear type of project that most companies dont have the patience or capacity to dig into. They want the easy buck and the quick fix, so they can move on. And many companies leave you in the lurch after youve spent your hard won time and effort to make the connection, apprise them of the situation, meet with someone to assess the situation, and then if youre lucky, schedule the work. You know what Im talking about With Goodmans, When the staff didnt know what to do with this project, David Goodman called me himself!! He managed the whole project, returned calls as promised, and followed up with everything perfectly. Bottom line, I couldnt Recommend this company more emphatically. In the world were very few people do what They say theyre going to do, you can count on Goodman for that!

Not the cheapest landscapers, simply the best! We have been satisfied customers since 2015. They do a fantastic job. Our yards have never looked better. We have them out every 2 weeks, and they are very attentive to detail. Highly recommend using them.

We are 100% happy with our recent property cleanup. Cory completely understood our goals and what needed to happen to make it so. Matthew and his team executed with great care to transform our unmaintained mess in to a lovely landscape. We appreciated his skill and expertise. We have horses on property and greatly appreciate the patience and flexibilty of the team to work around some specific issues.

I used goodmans for a few years now off and on when I needed yard clean up and general maintenance of bushes and shrubs. They were always timely and always did great work until very recently. The crew leader who worked in my area for many years doesnt appear to be doing so and either by the crews new leadership direction or company direction, corners are now being cut. Traditionally, they would pull the weeds out of the ground and let me know if a plant was not going to be able to be salvaged. They did a very good job at letting me know whats going on and would even ask if something was OK to do. Instead, they now use weed eaters on everything, leaf blow, maybe rake, and then move on to the next job, only for the weeds to just come back within days. Unfortunately the new crew leader does not listen to customer requests and tries to up sell you on other services, whilst simultaneously trying to insult your intelligence. I hired you and your crew to perform a job, not to be told what type of weed thats infesting my yard. I dont know what happened, but this is longer the landscaping company I used in the past. If you want quick, ineffective, and non-lasting work, go with Goodmans. If you want actual attention to detail, you may want to put in the effort and shop around for a more reputable company.

Very responsive to a call back!

I had a lawn drainage issue that was causing flooding into my Arizona room which had not been raised off of the slab. David came out and gave me a quote for the service and walked me through everything he wanted to have done. While his quote was higher than some others I spoke with, I went with Goodmans because David was so thorough and helpful. On the day of the project, he met with me again with his crew so I was reassured that we all knew what the plan was and what work was going to be done. I thought his crew was thorough and hardworking and they got done in under the estimated time. Then, when the project was done David checked in to make sure everything had been completed to my satisfaction and to see if I had any questions. Sometimes you have to be willing to pay for the extra customer service and care to detail that a company shows it will put into a large, expensive project. I have to wait for the next monsoon to see any results, but I am sure if there is an issue that David will have his crew out to help fix anything. Im so happy I went with Goodmans.

Anwer questions and is a big company that you pay for what you get so cant say to much since my aunt didnt hire them...

Initial request was placed by my husband in regards to a water hammer noise we were having with our back yard irrigation system. When the technician arrived I again went over the issues we were having. Turns out the water hammer issue was not addressed and he replaced everything else but the valve for the hammer noise. We had to have another service call. We disputed the second $75 service call fee (which we thought was fair) and were paying for the valve replacement and the rest of the invoice. The customer service agent would not back down. Also please note the agent also wanted us to pay our bill before even receiving an invoice. When getting service from this company ensure your request is in writing. We do not recommend nor will we ever use this company again.

Excellent company

A dangerous driver on the road. This driver not only was incredibly aggressive inside a residential neighborhood with a posted speed of 30 mph, he flat out attempted to run another vehicle off the road. He then continued to drive very aggressive and erratic, following me, and even to the point of driving on the wrong side of the road to attempt to run me off the road to avoid a head on collision. He then blocked me, a single female, in to talk condescendingly as if he had done nothing wrong. Once he realized that everything was being recorded, he tried to quickly dismiss and get out of there. There is something uniquely disturbing about someone, who is apparently the owner, who feels its perfectly acceptable to drive at another vehicle head on without attempt to stop. Im glad he showed his true colors, as ironically enough, was looking for a local landscaper but now know to beware of this gentleman and company thats oddly only 4 blocks from my residence.

The price was affordable until they wanted $80 per service instead of $55. The Service itself was not good. The maintenance was not satisfactory.

**WARNING** No professionalism, No integrity, priced high for low quality work and above all the owner was very rude and disrespectful. I would avoid goodmans landscaping at all cost. 0 stars

10 years ago I hired Goodman s landscaping for a custom project after a hectic search of companies who did not qualify to my standards. One week later the courtyard leading to my home looked like the entrance to paradise. There is a water feature, pavers on the floor, plant pots and lighting to put it all together. David Goodman and his crew of amazing professionals stepped up to the plate and exceeded my expectations. Throughout the years I have called upon Goodman landscaping for small maintenance jobs, within minutes of my call or text David would respond to set up an appointment in order to take care of my needs. For 10 years he has been my go to guy. David and his crew come highly recommended. JT

I waited over a week and a half for even a call back...unacceptable

I would use someone else if I had it to do over again. They did half the work I needed, so I had to call someone else to complete the job. Technician did not phone to tell me he was coming (for estimate or actual work) - I very clearly communicated I wished to be called in advance, so I could make sure what I needed got done.

Goodmans Landscape Maintenance did a complete overhaul of our backyard (and front yard) after an auto crashed into our backyard, literally destroying our backyard. David and his team were professional, efficient, and did excellent work. I was extremely pleased with the outcome, our house looks absolutely amazing! During the project, we had to go out of town and our neighbors commented how professional the crew was. They were all of in uniform, supervisors were on site giving direction to the crew to ensure the job was done to our specifications. Our neighbor was also impressed with how hard they worked throughout the whole day, even when we werent there to supervise. Our neighbors were so impressed they are going to be contacting Goodmans for some work they need to do as well. I highly recommend Goodmans to anyone that wants their job done right, done on time, and done in a very high quality manner. Their follow-through on every aspect has been nothing short of amazing! In this era with a lack of customer service everywhere I go and difficulty finding good contractors, you can rely on Goodmans to exceed your expectations in every way!

In regards to the review saying one their drivers hit a car in the Frys parking lot and left the scene, I am the owner of the car which was hit. However, the owner of Goodmans was very cooperative in paying me for all the damages to my car and paid me quickly, within just a couple days. He seemed very honest and was only interested in making things right by me, which he certainly did. Thats the type of honesty and integrity that I would look for when doing business with someone.

Bait and switch. I see I am not alone. They were nice and professional too.

Highly unprofessional. I hired them for maintenance work as well as to do additional landscape work. The guy they sent for estimating the landscape work (Ponciano) came once, misunderstood the requirements, gave an estimate and when asked for details became defensive. He said he d get back to me but even when called and promoted did not. Eventually I called Goodman s to ask for help in this matter. I received a letter terminating my service after one month or so. Of course they held my security deposit and overcharged. They stated that 4 hours worth of work was done three times. My security cameras clearly show two people showing up for 1.5 hour one time and 1 hour 15 minutes another time. I didn t bother checking the third but they obviously are lying and trying to defraud. Will be reported to the BBB

Very unprofessional!!!! On the day I was to meet Dustin - he called to ask me to meet him right away - 5 hours before our scheduled appt (an appt I made the previous week). Apparently, it was more convenient for him to meet earlier. I could not drop everything to meet w/ him then since I was @ work. He agreed to meet at our appt time. He then texted a message to me AT our appt time, saying that he cant make it because he has another landscape job. Unbelievable!! Obviously, were done! I think I dodged a bullet not dealing w/ these people.

The aesthetically designed garden area of our house looks very live and pleasing. This is the dream design we wanted from a long time. All credits for this great work goes to this top-notched landscaping company. They kept our desired features on mind while working on our garden.

Id give less than 1 star if i could i just want pleople to know what crooks and liars this company is. They way over charge, dont give notice of past due accounts and steal money from people who gave passed on. Then flat out LIE about the tiny security depoist they wete suppose to refun. Not that covers anything close to what my fathers account was hijacked for.

Price to play is a minimum of $5,000. Called for some general landscaping services, and I was added to the salespersons schedule for them to meet and review my yard. Salesperson called a few days prior to gauge my project scope, and then steered me to a more generalized landscaper. While Im sure Ill end up spending that or more on my yard, Id prefer to deal with a single company that can spare the time to work on the smaller projects and can scale up to larger projects. It would also be nice if their website made it clear that they really desired only high-dollar high-roller projects.

Im not sure who these people are that are claiming they couldnt get an answer, or estimate or good customer service from Goodmans. I called and set up an appointment. I called that day to ensure that they were coming out, they said yes and they came out. Sooo.... not really understanding these folks who claim never heard from them or Never called back. If someone doesnt show - I call back. I want an answer as to why there was a no show. I dont just post a negative comment. I found they have excellent references. We knew the amount of work involved because WE DID OUR HOMEWORK! We checked material pricing, SKILLED labor, and so forth. David personally came out to our home and was present multiple times during the job. They did an EXCEPTIONAL job. Top notch communication and job completion in a timely manner. We did 3 (add on) change orders and they still completed our major job (front and back yard remodel) in 2 weeks. We did a lot: custom pavers, privacy walls with sand finish stucco, synthetic grass and xeroscape plants/shrubs. Were they cheap - no. So these others who complained that they are overpriced - you are so WRONG! (I have 2 neighbors who are dealing with living proof of cheap landscape! broken underground plumbing because they didnt pack sand around the lines. Wiring that was just buried in dirt - no conduit. pavers that are loose and warped because they didnt compact properly and anchor the edges). Goodmans actually came in $1000 higher than the others but their professionalism and service was MORE than worth that. David and his team will be back in April to complete our project with a large corner stack stone fireplace, Do yourself a favor - take the time to talk to these folks at Goodmans and hopefully youll see and what I and some others found to be the case. They are a excellent company.

I called Goodman s for installing a new sprinkler system for our front and back yard landscape because I was tired of watering everything myself. They came out and walked the property with me giving me ideas on how they could install the new irrigation system. Overall, I liked their ideas and how responsive they were. Their bid was very competitive, so I decided to go with them. Everything was done in a timely fashion and communication was a breeze. Now, I don t have to water my lawn myself ever again and it feels great.

We called to get an estimate and they never showed up. They didnt even call to let us know. When you have 2 young kids and set an appointment, you end up working around that appointment.

Good landscaping company

Wow! I cannot believe the perfect experience I had with Goodmans...and in particular, with Clay Mottl! After viewing their website, I took a chance and contacted them about replacing the outdoor lighting at our home. Clay Mottl contacted me and communicated long distance about my needs. He invested the time, and took a leap of faith that I was just not running him around. I took the same leap of faith in him and his company as I had our entire property done with little to no personal contact. The finished product is wonderful and Clay goes way beyond what I would consider fair in making sure all fixtures are working properly, and stay aligned. As a business owner, I so appreciate his attention to detail. He is a true asset to Goodmans, and I applaud Goodmans for employing such great people.

I hired Dave Goodman and his crew to landscape the front of my business in North Phoenix. From the initial contact and design to the final inspection I was amazed at their level of professionalism, timeliness, and the final result was nothing short of amazing. My Auto shop is a Certified Green Business, and I needed special plantings and watering system accommodations. Although Goodmans is a very large company, Dave (The Owner) personally responded to my calls and needs. We had definite objectives and a budget for our landscape project. David Goodman added his creativity, flexibility and can-do attitude to the project. We spent a good amount of time in the planning phase and this really paid off. The result is a beautiful improvement to our front and back yards specifically designed to the way we live in our house. We value the investment of time, energy and materials, so we have retained the Goodmans team to maintain our yard with their customized weekly service. We feel that we got very special attention from David and his team; however, I dont think it was really special. This is the way David does business on a regular basis. Oh! And I need to say that I did a lot of research through references before we selected Goodmans...I heard from 20+ former/current customers, and only one had any comment that was at all negative. I teased David that the reports were so glowing that he must either be related to all those people or he must give really deep discounts! No...the comments were genuine and warranted. We learned that on our project. I recommend this company without hesitation.
