Ozzy and Son Landscaping in Perth Amboy

I was looking yesterday and today at different landscapers. I have a question whoever runs this business how come yesterday I saw maybe 3 or 4 bad reviews and today it is not there? There was nothing wrong with the reviews an honest man would not have bad reviews deleted with that being said I dont believe you are honest because no one has perfect reviews unless it is fixed. Cant take someone telling the truth about you?

Hard workers and very accomodating

Ozzy cleaned up an otherwise disaster. Since the year before Covid I havent been able to have anyone come out due to increased cost of living. But it was looking extremely bad, so Ozzy came and cleaned up for now and it looks incredible compared to what it was. Cant wait til Spring to plant and finish the work. He works fast and he does it by himself which shows his dedication to the job. I recommend him for anyone looking to have their house looking properly taken care of.

Ozzy came over quickly and went over what we needed done. He cleaned out a raised bed area that had gotten overgrown, including removing big rocks, paver stones, lavender bushes and a couple of ambitious saplings. He then graded the area and planted grass seed. His prices were very reasonable. He has a good understanding and love of gardening. We were amazed at how quickly he handled really heavy work.

I am another neighbor of the 100 year old women Ozzy put in the hospital for refusing to show up to cut grass and Ozzy is calling a thief what kind of man is he Ozzy deletes anyone that does not give a good review so that means his 4.6 rating is fixed

5 Stars I recently hired Ozzy and Son, LLC for landscaping work in both my front and back yards, and I couldn t be more impressed with the results. Ozzy was very prompt and arrived right on time, which I really appreciated. He trimmed all the bushes, cut down trees, pulled weeds, and cleaned up the gravel area with care and attention to detail. He even sprayed and pulled up extra weeds, leaving the entire area looking fantastic. Despite being a one-man team, he handled everything efficiently and professionally. I will definitely be using his services again. Highly recommended!

Ozzy is a guy who wants to do the job right and for a fair price. He doesnt take advantage of people and always gives his honest opinion. If he can do the job he will do it! If he cant, he will give you ideas and recommendations. Cant afford the work? He will go out of his way to break it down and do only whats necessary to save you money. When I first reached out to Ozzy regarding yard maintenance, weeding, trimming etc he was very nice and responsive. Came to see the area and gave a fair quote. When I followed up to schedule a date for the work he was a bit harder to reach because he was busy with jobs. Fair enough I get it was the start of the season. He said hed come by that week. I asked him to give a heads up the night before he planned to arrive so Id know. He said no problem. The week went by and he never showed and never contacted me. I texted, left a voicemail and even messaged on Facebook. Nothing. Still have not heard back 2 weeks later. Left me scrambling to try to find someone else who wasnt totally booked already. He seemed like a nice guy and, based on other reviews, was looking forward to his work but very disappointed by the lack of professionalism. Id rather he just say he was unavailable than just disappear.

UPDATE 5/22/2024: I moved to a new house and there was a garden bed that was being overrun with weeds and had some plants that needed trimming back so I called Ozzy and he came over yesterday to do an estimate within a half an hour of me sending him the address. Came over today, absolutely fantastic work. The garden bed looks like it could be on the cover of a landscaping magazine. 10/10 would recommend! ------------- Original Review I left a few years ago: Ozzy is fantastic! He did such a great job taking care of the several years of overgrowth that previous homeowners had left us. He was quick to get back to us, quick with the estimate, and extremely friendly. Overall, a terrific experience and the work came out even better than we had hoped. Will be using his company again for sure!

We hired Ozzy to do our landscaping for the first time and we are very happy with his work. He trimmed the bushes and Pom Pom tree perfectly. The front and back yard look great. We will be using Ozzy for our landscaping from now on.

We hired Ozzy to clean up my mothers back yard which was overgrown and neglected. Also needed a dead bush removed and overgrown hedges trimmed. Ozzy took care of all of this and even went a step further. After cleaning up the yard, he added mulch to all beds and around trees and even added mums and a pumpkin in the front yard. We needed a part of our yard cleaned up. This area had large branches from our tree and over grown weeds. The area had gotten to be too crazy to handle on our own. I reached out to Ozzy via his website and received a response within 5 mins. He came and gave a quote within the hour. This is no exaggeration. He was reasonably priced and started work on step 1 right away. He communicated when he would be back for the next part and remained in contact when the weather didn t agree. Our backyard was terribly overgrown with tall weeds and fallen tree limbs and branches. It was treacherous to walk in it as it felt like you were walking in a wild forest. After reading his stellar reviews, we called Ozzy. He quickly responded, came to our house, assessed the situation and gave us a reasonable estimate. Ozzy and his assistant came back on a mutually convenient day and cut down the weeds, gathered up the branches and basically transformed the area from an unusable eyesore into an attractive, serene and usable space. Additionally, he cut down large tree limbs and branches that were touching our house and hanging over our driveway. Also, he cut out ivy that had grown wildly into a gazebo in our yard. He cleaned up the area and carted away everything.To say that we were pleased with the quality of his work is an understatement. If I were more technically proficient, I would post before and after photos/videos, but unfortunately I m not sure how to do this. In summary, Ozzy is highly skilled, reliable and very capable. I highly recommend him for any landscaping job. If he tamed our jungle, he can handle anything!

Ozzy was hired to cut and clean. He did 80% of the job and said hed cut bi monthly. He.came back 3 weeks later and charged me an additional 20 dollars because its too long Ok no big deal. Next time he it texts me asks if its readyl miss the text for 3 days. I tell him yes its ready and now 75 instead of 40..mean while the weeds that he said hed kill are still there and he burnt the hell out of my grass and the flower bed he was supposed to rake... Arent raked. Just a bad experience

I called Ozzy up about a tree that needed to be removed from my backyard. He was very responsive and was able to come out right away to look at it. Within no time the tree was gone and he was super easy and nice to work with. He prides himself on his work and isn t satisfied until you are satisfied. I called Ozzy with a unique request. To remove all the bushes and plantings at my family cemetery plot in Woodbridge NJ. Being from another state I didn t have a clue who to call. How lucky I was to find this kind and caring man. He worked very hard, and kept to a quote he gave me sight unseen! He will return in the fall to plant grass. On a personal note, I am a recent widow, and he was very sympathetic to how emotional I was during this work. Ozzy is a real human being, a honest , nice man of integrity, who works hard. I have used Ozzy for a few years now for fall clean up. He always has showed up on time, and done a very thorough and meticulous job, and always goes above and beyond what I would expect, and for a very reasonable price! He even takes all the yard refuse with him when he leaves so we dont have to deal with bags that sit in front of the house and disintegrate in the rain. This year, Ozzy re-did the entire front landscape for us. He carefully removed decades worth of overgrowth in the front, made a flat level surface, planted new plants, and mulched all for a very reasonable price and timeline! He even added in the boulders at no additional cost. He takes pride in his work, and is a member of several landscaping and gardening clubs so he can make relevant suggestions on plants that will work with the aesthetic of the house and also survive on the amount of light available . Ozzy and Son Landscaping is a great landscaping service. Our backyard and front yard was in absolutely horrible shape with poison ivy all over. I wanted to clean it up but could not even fathom as to where to start. Finally I google for a landscaping service on line and came upon Ozzy and Son Landscaping. I saw good reviews so I decided to give it a shot. I had called a few landscapers before but they either did not bother returning my call or said they did not work with poison ivy. So, I called Ozzy and left a message for him as well thinking I will never get a return call just like the others. But, Ozzy called within an hour and fixed a time and date to check out my yard. Not only that, but he diligently came and sprayed weed killer 2 days before starting the job. He and his wife came and finished the work in one day. When I got home that evening, I could not believe my eyes. The fence actually had view outside on the road which had blocked before with ivy and poison ivy. The yard was spectacularly clean that I didnt recognize it. Ozzy and his wife did an awesome job. If you dont believe me, give them a try. You wont b sorry.
